Hello ladies!

So we have had our mc's... and are moving on and thinking about making new babies :) Hurray, hurray!

congrats cheese! can totally understand your worries, I don' think anyone has felt relaxed until the scan shows everything is ok.

Am starting to feel like such an old timer on this thread now.

good luck for results day chuckle!

am not far behind you one, am apparently 4dpo tho still got lots of ewcm that I am studiously ignoring I have decided to just ignore this cycle now as hormones are just everywhere and is soooo frustrating, and am looking forward to not being pg on holiday and drinking lots of peroni and wine by the sea! :)

OP posts:
ChuckleMonster · 23/08/2012 12:24

Ah, Peroni...how I love thee so......

When do you go wilde? I hope you are not pregnant when you go so you can enjoy all the forbidden fruits fingers firmly crossed behind back

wilderumpus · 23/08/2012 12:33

not for three weeks chuckle! Obvs would be lovely to be all pg and sunbathing and eating lots and lots of pizza. but if I am not pg (bladdy unlikely) then I shall do the same and be a bit tipsy too :)

am getting bored of trying to get pregnant now. :(

boo hoo!

ChuckleMonster · 23/08/2012 12:59

You have done lots of BD this month though wilde so dont give up hope, and if this isnt your month then you have a lovely wine filled relaxing holiday to look forward to. Your baby will be just gorgeous whether he/she is made this month or next month!!

I know what you mean though, the MW at my appointment asked how long I have been taking folic acid and I glared at her and said 'a very long time' I was quite impressed that I did not use any words!!

crawls back to daytime TV slightly ashamed to be encouraging someone else to be patient when I am incapable

wilderumpus · 23/08/2012 14:10

aw chuckle am glad this is your time at last :)

I have done an opk and it is practically positive! so it looks like, from my experience of being me, I will have a pos opk tomorrow and pop an egg, finally, on saturday! I have all my other fertile signs too so really believe it this time! so all that fecking bding was for nought AND now we are pretty shagged out! To have to bd tonight, tomorrow and the next night is bizarrely daunting! what a month.

This will be a VERY long cycle - CD 27 today. Normally I would be doing some sneaky early testing now :(

I wonder why I didn't ov. And now I have run out of opks! I will just have to assume I will ov over the next few days, keep bding and wait for my fertile signs to, ahem, dry up. Is usually pretty prompt after ov.

If I have the luxury of quibbling, I wonder if i want to go on holiday 4 weeks pg? Do i? Will it be lovely, being all snuggly in the sun in dresses with a burgeoning lilfe inside me... or will I feel like utter shit and be frightened of mc all the time?! Advices wise pg ladies?!?!?!

SOOOOOO sorry for the me,me,me these past few days! I really am! I just have NO ONE else to talk to about it in the whole world and poor DH doesn't need to know all this.

Sheldonella · 23/08/2012 14:30

Aww wilde, one way or another you will have a great holiday. It sounds great . Could you be ov'ing twice this cycle?
Congrats cheese. I had a bad feeling for a while too, I think it is totally normal and you will be fine.
How's it going chuckle? I'm 11 weeks today, I can't believe it. Only 1 week until my scan too .

ChuckleMonster · 23/08/2012 14:50

Ah, thanks wilde! I was 4/5 weeks when we went away and I think I was less panicky than I would have been at home as there were more (and nicer) distractions. But having said that I missed having a beer with dinner and there were yummy cheeses and pates that I couldnt eat. As sheldonella said, either way you will have a lovely time. Fingers crossed for imminent OV!!

And sheldonella How exciting that your scan is only 1 week away - eek! I am 9+2 by the scan we had last week or 8+6 by my calculations. I am going with the scan with it being that bit further along!!! I booked in with the MW yesterday so am just waiting for a scan date.

LittleMissSnowShine · 23/08/2012 15:57

cheese - congrats! I think! I hope! A line is a line Grin Like you I would be on the nervous side, with DS horrific HG kicked in at 6 weeks and didn't budge til about 8 weeks later. With last pg I had bad nausea but it wasn't really in the same league that I was with DS and it didn't kick in until 7.5 weeks, and it lessened in the afternoons so I was always a bit uncertain about the whole thing. But I think in a way that's the tough thing about being pg with no. 2 or 3 etc - you have something to compare it to, so if things aren't exactly the same we automatically panic, whereas if it was your first pg you would just be thinking oh isn't this great, i'm not sick or anything. Every pg can be different, so fx fx fx for you that you're going to see a darker line and have a sticky one in there

wilde - I like saunas, jacuzzis, wine and odd cheeses when I'm on holiday so not a great idea for me to go anywhere when I'm pg lol! We went away to Lanzarote in Feb and we agreed we'd start trying in March so I would have just had a holiday because I just wouldn't fancy holidaying abroad while pg, but that might be at least partly because I've had really bad pg nausea in early stages so I feel the need to be in fairly close proximity my own bed just in case it strikes! Most people love a break before they have a big bump and puffy feet, tho, so if you're really in the mood for a bit of sun I say go!

chuckle - lol @ 'a very long time'! hee! i just started back on folic acid a couple of days ago, it's a pain remembering to take it... house situation is, as yet, inconclusive but got a roofer looking at the chimney for us this evening. We did have a chat with tenants though and told them that we'd half their first month's rent because of all the different problems they've had in the house and told them that if they weren't happy to stay there then we'd understand, we'd return their damage deposit and wouldn't hold them to the lease. But if they did decide to stay we would fix any house issues on the understanding that they accept it is an older house, it doesn't have all the conveniences of a new build and we are not full-time, professional landlords, so while we will get things fixed asap as and when necessary they basically need to stop tormenting us with things that are not emergencies. Water pouring through the ceiling, a gas leak, stuff like that needs fixed right away but a slight and small damp patch on one wall or a window that won't open are not emergencies and they need to chill out a bit. Tenants told us they love us, def don't want to move out, they appreciate all we're doing for them and I think, hopefully, things will hopefully be ok(ish) for the foreseeable future.

Long post today! It's a bit drizzly outside, DS v fed up, esp cos i'm at home with him trying to get all my housework done cos i'm away at a wedding tomorrow and getting my hair dye in, fake tan on etc hee!

hope you're all well :)

wilderumpus · 23/08/2012 18:44

snow you sound like a dream landlord! (lady!) And like you know what you are doing, and building a good relationship with your tenants. :) As a serial renter I can say a good (read 'helpful') landlord can be life changing! And you have a wedding to go to! hurrah am well jell :) Love a good wedding me... but sadly most of my peeps are all wed!

thanks for the advices ladies. I can see it is a very personal decision! If my pg were to be like the one with DS I would love it and just loaf around being wonderfully pg and hungry for lots of pizza and pasta! If it was like the mc pg it would not be that cool as I felt rough and extremely dizzy and crampy. I confessed to DH that the egg hadn't popped yet and he is happy to dtd again so... we may get that egg yet. what a fecking palava I honestly don't know if we have ever had this much sex since we passed the 'honeymoon' phase (er, ten years ago?!)!

sheldon you are kind and right, I will have a lovely holiday. it is our proper holiday - DH is a workaholic so this means a LOT having two whole weeks without a laptop! Want to enjoy it and be relaxed. Booked it after the mc to have something to look forward to. Am delighted to hear you are 11 weeks, that really has flown by! are you starting to feel any better yet? oh btw you can't ov twice in a cycle weeks apart or you could, technically, end up pg with two babies with different EDDs! eek! Grin

chuckle lovely to be ahead on dates rather than behind eh?! 9 weeks! woah, congrats!

Just popping in as sleep's been all over the place, work's been the worst ever and have become even less coherent than usual as a result.

Cheese Woooo Hoooo!!!!!!

Wild my god, Yeah!

Hi Chuckle, Hello Littlemiss Bonjour (?) *Sheldonella!

ChuckleMonster · 24/08/2012 18:20

weekend now one, hope you have a good one and get lots of lovely sleep :)

wilderumpus · 24/08/2012 18:56

it's bank holiday! Wine everyone (who can!) and then sleeeeeeeep!

still no sign of ov here! Is actually driving me up the fecking wall! I really don't think we can dtd any more any time soon, am officially sexed out Grin

but hey ho - no ov means no 2ww which means LOTS of Wine!

OP posts:
ChuckleMonster · 24/08/2012 19:09

I always forget about bank hols as I dont work Mondays! Enjoy! Wine everyone! (or shloer!)

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 24/08/2012 19:26

This BH snuck up on me and I haven't made any plans, next week was going to be my last week at work before mat leave. No wonder I've had such a shit week. Still, life has also thrown some massive curve balls this week so that hasn't helped. Anyway, I slept well last night, thanks Chuckle! And Geez Louise Wild, that must be so frustrating. Hope you get ahold of a nice bottle or three!

Haylebop12 · 25/08/2012 23:31

I lost the thread but I found it do marking my place. Will catch up on the news when I go on laptop tomoz.
I'm meant to start AF on Monday but worried that I won't, but I'm not pg and that my cycles have changed. Therefore also mistiming dtd.
Did everyone find their cycle length changed after mc?

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 26/08/2012 07:06

I am now in my 3 day window for AF to turn up starting today. And I think I felt some beginers cramps last night before going to bed. I've had some of my usualy AF symptoms. I don't feel pg and haven't had any pg symptoms, traditional or otherwise! I found something odd on google last night though. I often get extreme thrist and worry about the obvious but it comes and goes for periods of several days at a time and it arrived yesterday, so I googled it. Apparently there's a known thing that women, whether they are pg or not, do get higher levels of thirst around dpo 10, 11, 12. Weird! I love google. Hope you're all having lovely BH weekends! (Welcome back Hayle!)

FidgetPie · 26/08/2012 07:13

Hi there - wanted to introduce myself.

I am 35 and have a 2YO DD. I am just waiting for my first AF after a missed miscarriage about a month ago (have been DTD every 2-3 days just in case!) We seem to have fertility probs (DD was 18 months TTC and my miscarriage pregnancy was 15 months) so have an appointment in Sept for some diagnostic tests.

Hello to littlemiss and cheese from our previous threads! And congrats to cheese- have you done another test yet?

Haylebop12 · 26/08/2012 09:19

Hi there fidget!

wilderumpus · 26/08/2012 13:16

one I get reet thirsty when am early weeks of pg :) Are you going to test? ever?! I can see why you are refraining test! sorry to hear about the mat leave situ :( that sucks.

have you tested again cheese?

hayle I found my cycles were ok after my mc but after the CP last month this cycle will be 41 days long! Is really worrying isn't it, particularly with timing dtd. think it is normal to be wonky for three months after a mc.

welcome fidget. sorry to hear you might have problems, but good for you for getting the tests done and that means you will surely have an ironic pg very soon!

As for moi, bank hols a bit shite as am working a lot and when not working am tetchy. Great fun to be around! Hope to get lots done today then can relax a bit tomorrow and be nice. I had a super strong opk on thurs morn then ran out of the buggers, got some more yesterday and was super strong in the morning and has been faded since so think I would have had a positive on Fri :) And all fertile signs have cleared up yay. So I have ov'ed, on CD fecking 28. did dtd around the right time but not really that much as we were totally dtd-d out! after all that. oh well.

baby will come when baby is ready.

we are making plans to skip the country for three - six months after my Viva, do a bit of travelling. I like :)

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 26/08/2012 16:41

Hi Fidget!

Sorry your weekend is spent working Wild, but what a lovely plan to take off a real meaningful amount of time afterward! I got really angry toward the end of mine. I would storm out of the house and walk to the other end of town and back at a furious pace. I must have looked crazy, unwashed, improperly dressed. I hope you have an outlet. And am glad for you both that you have finally ov'd, phew!

I get this thirst regularly so I might start charting it to see if it's cycle related. I've been testing, just nothing good to report, cd 25, dpo 11, bfn's. My period is due today, tomorrow or Tuesday. I'll keep poasing because I just can't help it, a wee just doesn't feel right if a stick isn't involved, like a meat eater at a vegetarian restaurant, hell, I'd even pee on someone else's stick if they left it lying about! Wink (would that be poses?)

Haylebop12 · 26/08/2012 16:46

one
If my AF doesn't come tOmorrow I will join you in POAS :-)
Not hopeful this end though!

wilderumpus · 26/08/2012 17:06

ha one am definitely angry. Is such passive aggressive work; being very angry at shitely written sentences, bad references, being tired and bored to death of it. But then am having to carry on lovingly, tenderly making it Just Right. Does make you feel a bit psycho! I have no outlet nooooo... but will drink gin tonight... and i do eat a LOT of crisps and chocolate at my desk to keep me going!

Yes have ov'ed! hoo fecking rah. but only sexed two days before as I didn't know i might ov and we were completely shagged out. completely. chose red wine over dtd! Am really sad about this now, even tho at the time I really did make the decision. DTD was turning into loveless sex I didn't like. :( Anywho, I don't think my stressy PhD body is saying 'make a baby!' atm?! hehe. I BET when I hand in I get preggo immediately with all those happy relaxing hormones flooding in!

fingers crossed for tomorrow for one and hayle!

happy bank hols all!

OP posts:
onemoreforgoodmeasure · 26/08/2012 17:22

Hayle nothing makes me happier! (and sounds like we're in the same boat).

Wilde you gave me a giggle! And also, if there were medals you guys would definitely get the gold, no one's worked harder in my memory of this thread!

wilderumpus · 26/08/2012 18:02

haha do you mean gold at the shagging one?!

Am not normally an EOD typa gal I have to be honest, more a 'woo! positive opk! HOP ON'! then 'Oof! Negative opk - hop OFF!' (which i am definitely going back to next month!) Grin
