Hello ladies!

So we have had our mc's... and are moving on and thinking about making new babies :) Hurray, hurray!

LittleMissSnowShine · 27/08/2012 18:01

Yep fx for u one!

Proper adult... I guess im one, just moved to suburbia, spent y'day clearing out spare room and turning it into a dressing room for me then today i had lunch with my mum and measured up for curtains. Proper old lol

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 27/08/2012 18:09

I cleaned out my fridge and freezer and dusted my bookcase. Without the radio on. Because i was enjoying the silence. That is proper old! Grin

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 27/08/2012 18:27

"Without the radio on. Because i was enjoying the silence" get us! In a very non-religious way I can find that kind of thing meditative, I might think about stuff, I might not, and it's just very peaceful. We are "proper old" LittleMiss!

And thanks again for the encouragement. I'm trying to remember how long I usually spot for before starting AF properly. I think before mc there wasn't much at all, but I didn't really watch my body then. Since mc I think I've had a day or two of it, certainly last month I had that. Really though I need to calm down, tomorrow is just as likely as today was (is) for AF to start. Am going to see if there's something good (crap) on tv.

wilderumpus · 27/08/2012 18:58

fingers crossed one!

I don't like silence unless it is because I am working! I am noisy :) My DS is not and tells me to turn the radio down mummy. Such a little old man! Grin he didn't like loud music when I was pg with him either, how funny is that?

I am getting a cold/flu! eek! bit shivery this eventime and in lots of jumpers. boo. last time i got flu I was pregnant in early march. I didn't know and took lots of beechams :( Always wonder if that caused it, though think a blighted ovum just is a blighted ovum and nowt to do with dem drugs?

DH and I are planning a trip around europe come April! exciting! for about 3 months, lots of driving around and camping. Is nice to plan a future and not be het up about being pg or not, sort of gives me something else to look forward to. And If I get preggo before Dec then I will happily cancel/shorten said trip Grin

well done on all your housewifery ladies! I have been out for lunch and made a terrible kedgeree today. And watched sense and sensibility and ate choc.

OP posts:
onemoreforgoodmeasure · 27/08/2012 19:03

Ooh, Wild sorry to hear of oncoming cold. Please don't beat yourself up about beechams, people do far worse and get to carry to term. Love your idea to have a plan that is lovely irregardless of whether you're pg or not. It sounds like a good idea to have something to look forward to. Will have a think here of ways I might be able to implement that.

wilderumpus · 27/08/2012 19:23

thanks one. the sane part of my brain knows this but you just wonder don't you?

I think plans are good, they take my nose and obsessive brain out of being pg as being the ONLY thing that will make me happy :) Actually, lots of things could make me happy. (altho being pg would be the best!)

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 27/08/2012 19:25

wilde - me and my DS are exactly the opposite, he is SO.noisy, stamps everywhere, singa/shouts/laughs/screams at the top of his voice wheras i am quiet bookish phd mum lol i work.with.noisy bold teenagers too so if im in house alone i enjoy quiet too!

Alas when i was in last trimester with ds i developed tinnitus in.my left ear. It faded away wgen he was about 8 weeks but came back.almost straight away when.i.got pg again in same ear and hasnt gone away post-mc so silence means i can hear the tinnitus whine all the time. Grr.

maybe it hasnt gone away cos im pg again Grin

Haylebop12 · 27/08/2012 19:29

Some reason I don't feel rushed to test, I still think AF will arrive in a few days and it's because my cycles are longer! Don't want a BFN then AF to turn up and prove that we were crap at DTD this cyz! I'm
Also Skint so buying one ATM isn't really on. Think I'm going to wait until Thursday, payday!

wilderumpus · 27/08/2012 19:41

I am bookish but also pretty loud little. I love my music, the louder the better! never really fitted into the phD scene so don't really have any PhD friends. They are just so academic!

that is really weird about the tinnitus. very annoying I imagine. Loving your use of the word 'alas'. we need to use this word more! Grin

go hayle. I don't want to test either, I just quite like thinking I am might be preggo :) I'll be more jumpy next week.

OP posts:
Haylebop12 · 27/08/2012 19:54

Yes Wilde, if no AF by Thursday I will test. Today would mean 28 day cycle as per pre-mc so allowing for cycle length to increase. I would like to test not but a bfn followed by AF would be but poop!

LittleMissSnowShine · 27/08/2012 20:08

Hayle - i get paid tomorrow so im predicting i'll crack and stock up on a few tests to keep in the house. Not gonna poas til fri tho!

Wilde - i have a couple of friends who, like me, just did phds in various subjects cos there was finding to be had lol met plenty of those scary academic types along the way too tho, put me off ever wanting to work in.a university, much happier in.community education.land for the meantime...even tho its a lot noisier!

ChuckleMonster · 27/08/2012 20:11

Boo for cold Wilde but hurrah for road trip round Europe. That sounds amazing. I am Envy i'm trying to convince DH to have a weekend in the lakes next summer and he is resisting!! Have you thought about where you would like to go? Will you be camper banning??!

I am amazed and impressed by the poas restraint on this thread. Makes me a bit Blush at my complete lack of will.power (no wonder my bum is getting fatter and fatter - I'm the same with cake!!)

ChuckleMonster · 27/08/2012 20:13

V v v v v vanning rather than banning. V.

Haylebop12 · 27/08/2012 20:25

chuckle it helps when your totally skint as!!! Desperately need fuel too!

wilderumpus · 27/08/2012 20:49

Am sick of universities little! Am not keen on teaching really though, teens terrify me :)

chuckle we would camperban it! and b and b it for posh sometimes :) Are thinking to drive through france, pop into northern italy and then croatia, then up via austria, through germany and finishing in denmark. Is just a rough plan, we quite plan to make it up as we go along. Isn't for a while yet! DH is leaving work to work for himself again when we move South to be with family early next year... so we thought well, seeing as we will be between homes and I will have finished uni and he will work for himself why not begger off for a bit and spend rent on jollydaying? we are travellers by nature so sitting still for so long after having DS has given us extremely itchy feet Grin

Arf I have no poas restraint and working from home does NOT help. Felt really symptomy today so am proud i didn't test as it is ridiculous, although part of me wonders if I could possibly be 8dpo and not 3... Bit of confusion there which messes with my head... but anyway, actually am just ill!

OP posts:
wilderumpus · 27/08/2012 20:50

hayle why don't you use internet cheapies? saves on your pocket it really does.

oh one I forgot to say, IC are meant to be super sensitive but they are renowned for not actually being all that. They stay faint for a while too when frer get stronger lines.

OP posts:
Haylebop12 · 27/08/2012 20:53

wilde I tend to get supermarkets own and if I get a bfp then go into to do a cb digi one :-) might have a look on Internet though :-) where's best? Amazon?

Lolcbcblemonlime · 27/08/2012 21:10

I bought some nhs type ones from amazon and they were quite cheap. I've never used those very cheap ones either.
As my name suggests I am a fan of cb Grin

Haylebop12 · 27/08/2012 21:24

Which is better 10 or 20 mlU?
I did read it somewhere.... But forgot

Lolcbcblemonlime · 27/08/2012 21:29

Think the lower the number the more sensitive but I have also read some of the cheap ones are meant to be sensitive and end up not being reliable.
When is af due?

Haylebop12 · 27/08/2012 21:32

Today, but after mc I'm concerned my cycle length has changed. I was 28cd before mc meaning AF due today as last AF started 30/07

Haylebop12 · 27/08/2012 21:35

Only had one AF since mc (23/06) so have no idea of cycle length!

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 28/08/2012 10:09

Any news?! C'mon, an feeling really positive! Grin

wilderumpus · 28/08/2012 10:47

news please ladies! how are you today one?

Internet cheapies: 10ml, home and health from ebay are most reliable for me. lower the nunmber the better.

childminder cancelled today (again) so not working and home with DS. which is lovely but ARG I need to work :( And I have his cold and am skanky manky!

OP posts:
Haylebop12 · 28/08/2012 13:09

Right, I got some cheapies on my way into work so morning for me! It's also my bday tomorrow. Fx!!
Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine (if you have it!)
