Poor you, no wonder your feeling stressed!

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 09/08/2012 16:22

Hi everyone, just checking in!

I seem to be having an extraoridinarily long af, if I include the 2 days of spotting either side (so far) then it's been 10 days... that's weird? I'm cd 8, anyone still on af at cd 8? (given that my cycles are approx 26 days???)

Cheese, the 2ww, dreaded and longed for and therefore plays harikari with our minds. Watch out for knee ache! Smile

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 09/08/2012 18:30

I Have some killer endo pain today. No point in going to the doctors, they will tell me pregnancy will help with the pain. No shit, Sherlock Hmm Anyone else here with endo?

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 09/08/2012 19:10

Not me Cheese, but I know someone, sounds awful. Do you get pain throughout your cycle?

Haylebop12 · 09/08/2012 21:15

I'm guessing I don't either cyz tbqh I've never heard of it!!
Really need to get pg this cycle because we can still go on hol next summer!! DH said so!

ChuckleMonster · 10/08/2012 19:12

Evening Ladies. Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine!!

We are having a very trying week with DD who has decided to use my school holidays to turn into the epitome of a terrible two (despite not being quite 2 yet!) Thankfully MIL is an angel and has been helping out so I can eat macdonalds in peace rest.

Hope AF buggers off soon one so you can get back to business!! And hope the pain has gone now cheese, I also have a friend with endo and it sounds awful.

Time for more junk food a quick snack and then an early night I think!

booboomonster · 10/08/2012 23:44

Hey all soz 4 radio silence, been too damn busy!
Just popping in to say a quick hello & goodbye... I'm off on hold with AF in tow... booooooo!
Anyway, am going to make most of holiday sex week, in the full wine and shagging tradition!
Good to see you back foof!
Hope everyone well - one, that AF stops soon...
Hope to catch up on more bfps & positive scans in 2 weeks time. Xx

booboomonster · 10/08/2012 23:44

Hols not hold - damn phone...

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 11/08/2012 07:24

OH, who is not himself driven to have a child, actually instigated talk about a plan for sex week. Shock So I told him all the theory and details about what my body actually tends to do and explained the role of the opk stick god... and he offered up a very good plan. I'm totally stunned. Wonder if he wants to buy a new car or something... (Wink) We start tomorrow, AF willing.

Hope everyone's sex weeks have been good so far. Boo boo to your AF, hope your holiday is lovely.

Wild, was it Sheldonella who was into the shredding?

Sheldonella · 11/08/2012 07:53

Morning ladies, sorry I haven't been around much.

Wasn't me who actually did the shredding although I was considering it. I did do the couch to 5k, inspired by wilde.

Glad to see you all have your sex week plans in place, will keep fingers crossed for you :) one that is great that your OH is in on the planning!

Have a great holiday boo!

Hope the pain eases off cheese.

Things not going too well here :( I've had some bits of bleeding and called up the hospital about it yesterday. They refused to do a scan to find out what is going on saying it is too early to see anything useful. I'm 9 weeks now and am pretty sure they would see something. I got examined by a doctor who when she had finished just simply say "no, you don't meet the criteria for a scan" and that was all. This left me in floods of tears and she said I could speak to someone else if I wanted but they would just say the same thing. A nurse came and told me something the doctor didn't tell me - my cervix is closed but that there is no way I could have a scan. She then gave me some numbers for private clinics. I'm so angry.

ChuckleMonster · 11/08/2012 10:56

Oh sheldon, everything in the chuckle house is crossed for you. A closed cervix is a good sign. I won't tell you to try not to worry as I know from personal experience that its impossible to not worry about everything but I hope you are not too stressed and that you are being looked after at home. I am livid on your behalf because of your hospital experience. Fuckers. Doc sounds like a moron. Can you phone your midwife to get scanned?? Or your GP?

Haylebop12 · 11/08/2012 11:33

Or just go to a and e?
Sex week here is ok, started Thursday but strangely had tiny Spotting yday, unlike me but hey we shall see how ur goes!
Happy weekend to all!

icequeenkate · 11/08/2012 16:28

boo have a great holiday.

sheldon so sorry you are having this much stress. I would go to a&e as by 9 wks they could see everything using a normal ultra sound machine and a full ish bladder in my experience this time. I think the way you have been treated is shoddy and lacking any understanding. Go, make a huge fuss and refuse to leave til you've had a scan. Threaten them with reporting them to any authority you can etc. local newspaper would love to hear about this sort of thing etc.

Fingers tightly crossed for you. Hope the spotting stops quickly.

Sheldonella · 11/08/2012 17:58

Hi chuckle, hayle and ice. I did think of A&e but I think they send you up to the EPU for scans anyway. I have booked a private one for Wednesday as I need answers now. I just can't believe this hospital, it's supposed to be one of the best.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekends.

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 11/08/2012 19:15

Ask (demand) to know what the criteria are for the scan. I think they have to tell you and when they do be seen or heard to be making notes of what they say. I just got in and we're popping out again or I'd google NICE guidelines for you. If the Trust has done something that goes against NICE guidelines, which I think most do because finaically they can't meet them and keep afloat, then you can complain citing the guidance and that should scare them into action. Ask to speak to the Chief Exec, email/tweet them directly, I know it sounds like over kill but in every example of that I've ever heard of the CE has caved immediately and paved the way. Argh, I'm pissed off on your behalf but have to run. Fx for you and will check in later.

LittleMissSnowShine · 12/08/2012 09:19

Hi ladies - wondering if I can join you?? Unfortunately I see some familiar faces on here from earlier ttc threads :( But glad to see everyone is ready to move on and try again.

I had mmc last month at what would have been apprx. 10.5 weeks. I'd had a scan at 7 weeks and although the baby was measuring slightly small for dates there was a heartbeat and all seemed fine. A few days later I started having a bit of light bleeding - it never got heavier but it lasted for about a week and when I went in for my 10 week scan it was bad news. Had erpc 10 days ago and just started dtd / ntnp last night again. Hadn't DTD in flippin ages because of early pregnancy nausea, then bleeding, then erpc so that was a bit of a novelty!

Feeling a bit nervous and apprehensive about it all, not helped by having moved house last week in the middle of having to go into hospital and with a toddler in tow but feel like we're ready to try again. So hoping for lots of wine and shagging xx

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 12/08/2012 09:42

Waves at littlemiss

I have a chest infection, get them regularly, mainly because if my asthma. Am in cd20. Didn't want to take antibiotics and steroids if i was pregnant so did a cheaply home test. I know I know. It was negative. Why do we lose our rational thinking?! Anyway taking all the drugs under the sun now so I can get some jobs done at home. Feel like death to be honest. And sound like darth vader with a rattlesnake in his chest Confused

Hope you're all doing well. Haw a good Sunday!

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 12/08/2012 09:42

*have not haw

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 12/08/2012 09:43

sheldon good luck for the scan, sorry the hospital messed you about.

LittleMissSnowShine · 12/08/2012 09:49

Waves back at cheese! Sorry to hear you're under the weather, hope antibiotics clear it up for you. I'm not really expecting for my cycles to get back to normal for ages, esp with the PCOS but I do have a good friend's wedding to go to in a few weeks, DS at the grandparents, me and DH staying at a hotel, we've all been friends with this gang for the last 15 years, since school, so it will be lots of Wine and carrying on. I will def be poas before the partying commences, no matter how unlikely it is that i'll be up the duff. Better safe than sorry etc

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 12/08/2012 13:29

How are you doing today Sheldonella?

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 12/08/2012 13:30

Hi Littlemiss, sorry to hear about your mc.

Sheldonella · 12/08/2012 14:40

Hi ladies, hope you have the same lovely sunshine I have here. I'm definitely feeling more positive today, weirdly because I feel pretty sick which has to be a good sign. Thanks for the encouragement one, I'm thinking of complaining about my experience. The thing I'm most annoyed about is the attitude of the doctor.

Hope you feel better cheese, chest infection sounds nasty.

WElcome littlemisssnowshine sorry you find yourself here but I hope you have some success soon.

LittleMissSnowShine · 12/08/2012 20:12

Sheldonella - Glad you're feeling positive and sorry you've had a bad experience with the dr. No sunshine here today, after a few gorgeous days....rain all day boo hoo

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 13/08/2012 10:58

Glad to hear you're feeling sick Sheldonella! I don't know if any of us are in Scotland but have you seen the thread linked to the petition for early scans and medical help following a single mc rather than waiting for 3?

Today is cd 12 for me and that thoughtful plan OH created fell apart because of the olympics. While I'm a little annoyed with OH I'm somehow not terribly bothered really. Usually I get faint lines on opks leading up to the bold lines indicating the surge, and I haven't got that so far. So either 1) when I've had these lines over the previous 3 months (during which I have not got pg) it perhaps wasn't a good sign and ov is going to happen in a more neat and productive way this month, or 2) I'm not going to ov this month. I feel ridiculously calm about it. The absolute desperation I've felt for the last 5 months is not here right now. Pheee Yoooo.

Hope everyone's having nice Mondays.
