Hello ladies!

So we have had our mc's... and are moving on and thinking about making new babies :) Hurray, hurray!

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 04/08/2012 15:14

Don't worry Hayle, I didn't think you'd looked up my due date, it's a very funny typo though!!

And my sincerest apologies, I'm sorry for my stupid assumption that your recent mc was your only one. I'm very embarassed. And I know young people can struggle and worse, but my age is an issue for me, I do wish I'd come to the idea of having a child when I was younger and had more time on my side. If I do get to have a child then I will feel lucky that I was able to do so much before having a family, but if I don't then I will be a bit of a bitter old woman I'm afraid.

How hard it must have been that your DD was with you when you got the news (presumably) of your mc.

Haylebop12 · 04/08/2012 15:20

No need to apologise, I've only had one mc but just never thought it would happen to me! It's one of those things you always think happens to other people!
It was hard with dd there but DM came to the rescue and the staff at hosp were great with letting me wait until she had been picked up before going into clinic. Although she's only 3 it's been a journey for us all and wee told her as much as we believe she will understand. She knows she's fonna be a big sister just not yet!
Not sure I would have had children as early ad I did if dd hadn't have arrived. Now the age gap worries me. DH IS 31 so he would have had another istantly!
Your age might not be on your side but there's nothing to stop you :-)
Having dd early means I've never been on a girls holiday, didn't go away to uni as I started uni when she was 8 months so there's plus and neg for either option!

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 04/08/2012 15:21

Ah yes, I remember that ov surprise you had Wild but neglected to take in the fact of the longer cycles. That makes sense as were once 2ww'ing at the same time!

I just cried at an olympic thing. A British athlete did her thing and the crowd went wild with support.

wilderumpus · 04/08/2012 15:27

aw i find the olympics quite moving too one.

hayle am sad you had your DD with you when you found out. they wouldn't let my DS in the room so had to go in alone and find out, though tbh I already knew it was tits up.

saying that, am off for a bath :)

OP posts:
onemoreforgoodmeasure · 04/08/2012 15:31

That's kind, thanks for that Hayle. And sounds like you had some good people around you to help. How far were you?

There are plusses and negatives to either side, and there can be a grass is greener efffect. For me, I was never ready and just thought maybe I didn't really want children. Then I met OH and 4 years later realised I could if I wanted to. I've just been very slow about this, I never prioritised it because I didn't know what I wanted in life. I should have left my previous relationship years earlier. Now I realise that I would love to have been a younger mother of a little family. As it is I'd be lucky to see a child through to the age of 40, unlikely to see a grandchild and if I do they won't remember me. Sorry guys, think I've gone all morose!

Yay the sport!!!

Haylebop12 · 04/08/2012 16:38

It was my 12 week scan I was told I'd had my mc at 9 weeks. No signs, if anything the signs were it was a healthier pregnancy than first one as my hyperemesis was extreme and was admitted to be

Haylebop12 · 04/08/2012 16:39

Put on a drip. Mil has just asked if she can take dd when she goes gone Thursday and we collect her Sunday when we visit up there got a christening. Result! Sex week is going to be gooood!

wilderumpus · 04/08/2012 18:05

ooh result on the dtd timings hayle.

so shit you had HG, I have only ever heard of the upside of that being you are surely pg :(

OP posts:
Haylebop12 · 04/08/2012 19:17

Tell me about it, everytime I went docs for help ie. drugs to help they always said "well at least it's the sign of a healthy pregnancy"
WRONG!
Tbh I was worse this time so maybe that was an indication something wasn't quite right!
Sickness sucks donkey dick!!

snowcloud · 04/08/2012 21:17

Hi can I join? Just started first AF after MC.

Haylebop12 · 04/08/2012 21:20

Welcome snow :-) everyone is welcome!
Sorry to hear about your recent mc. Was this your first pg? Are you going to TTC again?
I gave just had my first AF since MC so shag week starts next Thursday!

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 04/08/2012 22:56

Welcome Snow, where are you at with it all?

wilderumpus · 05/08/2012 10:22

donkey dick! My sil had HG and was hospitalised etc. she lost a lot of weight until it finally left at 22 weeks :( poor chicken. she had a baby though :)

I had a few waves of mild nausea with DS and that was it! all very boring and wasn't reassured by everyone going on about how feeling sick means you are pg! I felt content though, so was pretty sure my baby was ok.

welcome snow. so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you are doing ok.

I am working again today! and WHY does my kitten think I am a scratchiing post when I am sat at my desk?! OW!

OP posts:
Haylebop12 · 05/08/2012 11:20

One part of me us going "get preg now! Get preg now!"
Whilst the other us saying "don't you remember how shit you feel for nine months! How the housework piled up!"
My house was a shit tip cyz I physically couldn't get out of bed! DM was coming over about 7am to get dd up and off to nursery. Bad times!
My mum is a saviour. Pretty much looked after dd 24/7 whilst I was in and out of hosp and DH working. I'm booking my hosp bed early this time.
Hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday. I'm cooking for the family today :-)

wilderumpus · 05/08/2012 13:30

did you have HG with DD too? so good you have a support network; DH and I are moving to the other side of the country to be back with his friends and family so we can have the same if/when we have no.2. (hopefully not for HG reasons though! you poor thing).

I just shredded and am knackered!

Really want a glass of wine! I think being on my own is making me feel rather holiday-like. I go to bed when I like, I eat what I like, I get up when I like... and now I want to lounge around drinking wine in the middle of the day!

Sadly I have a PhD to do, though have done loads today hurrah.

hope everyone is well, we are having a storm here!

OP posts:
Haylebop12 · 05/08/2012 16:02

It'll all be worry it on the end!
Yes I had HG with dd but didbt get admitted. Did with 2nd pg at around 7 weeks had a scan all was fine until told mmc at 12 week scan! So an early scan made me believe all was good :-(

wilderumpus · 05/08/2012 16:42

aw hayle that really is the problem with early scans :( I am going to try to hold out to 9 weeks then have an early scan for the next bubs, as most problems occur at 6 and 8 weeks...

trying to cat with a kitten scared of the thunder on one's lap is tricksy! might be my excuse to stop work for the day?!

OP posts:
Haylebop12 · 05/08/2012 18:31

I will try and get an early scan too, maybe 9 weeks ish as that's when I had my mc. Tough going!
If you've been working all day then give yourself a break! :-)

booboomonster · 05/08/2012 20:19

Hi all
Sorry to hear about your MC experience Hayle. Also HG sounds awful - I never really had much sickness in pregnancy - just the odd episode of sudden vomitting...

Anyway, I am feeling absolutely shattered - long week, horrid cold, late night, early morning with DD2. I also do not feel remotely pg - have come out in a right crop of zits as usual before AF comes, so tampax at the ready! I haven't even read through all the clearblue stuff yet and am slightly regretting it, but I am hoping I will feel more energetic tomorrow after a good nights sleep. If not, I can just send it all back.

Still very impressed with your shredding Wild - good on you. Also nice to see you didn't leave us!

No other news. Sorry been so sporadic on here - just ridiculously busy. Hope everyone very well xxx

woody17 · 05/08/2012 20:25

Hi everyone

Really sorry to hear about the time you've had Hayle

I think I might have ov this weekend - first time since mc but I'm not sure. Don't know if I just want to have so I'm convincing myself that I have...if that makes sense.

Haylebop12 · 05/08/2012 20:31

Was pretty shit after having a scan at 7 weeks and seeing the heartbeat do clear then going for dating scan and nowt! But I quickly realised nowt you can do and coming on here to help me get through the unknown helped me realise just how many women go through it!
What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, I think?!

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 06/08/2012 18:35

Sex week must have started -it's been almost 24 hours since anyone posted on here! GrinGrinGrin

Haylebop12 · 06/08/2012 19:02

Still for the MIL here do Thursday for me, plus added bonus of no DD!!

Haylebop12 · 06/08/2012 19:03

Got so grrr predictive!!

wilderumpus · 06/08/2012 19:23

chuckling cheese! Not here, I am manless Grin. Wednesday for me!

speaking of chuckling, hope you are ok sheldon - are you lurking or busy on an AN thread? hope you are doing a-ok x

boo I think I left for as long as it took me to draw breath?! hehe. I like ttc too much to EVER leave! (eek!)

saw my dear friend's new baby today - a week old! was very cute and looked just like his brother... didn't feel bad about it though thought I would, realised I just am looking forward to MY baby, but nothing to do with her. And she helped me loads through my mc. ho hum.

my family are back tomorrow night! am excited but also nervy about giving up all my lovely work time to being a stay at home mummy AND trying to work again! have been most spoilt and sleeping in until gone 9am, yum
