Welcome jo...
Sorry to hear your news. 4 mc's must be really tough going. So glad to hear your carrying on and getting on with it! I'm also currently waiting first AF after mmc. If it doesn't come by the middle of August I'm going to POAS in case I'm
Actually pg?
Having had healthy pg's before we know we can do it :-)
Hope to see more of you!
:-)

DanyTargaryen · 29/07/2012 17:54

Hello all. Lost DC2 at 6 weeks on 13/6/12. Just having a visit from AF so at least its looking like my cycle is back in the swing of things as I've come on at the normal time of month if that makes sense. Mind if I stick around?

joberg · 29/07/2012 17:58

Another sign of craziness, posted on this thread in the week after the m/c and have NO recOllection!!!!! Yikes!!!! (am clearly loosing mind). But have to go and check out GURUs posts now!!!! Wilde has been keeping me v. amused, totally relate to you!!!! Ha!

Haylebop12 · 29/07/2012 18:04

Welcome to you aswell dany!
Glad you have your AF, kinda jealous!! Never wanted it so badly!

DanyTargaryen · 29/07/2012 18:32

Hayle its freaking me out, don't know whether its my body settling down but I'm soaking through super plus tampons in 3 hours max each change. I had just started using super plus before but it was taking at least a bit longer before that happened.

Is that normal for first AF post MC?

(sorry for the tmi btw)

joberg · 29/07/2012 18:32

It is weird, actually wishing for AF, isn't it? I really don't know which way is up at the moment... Except that I never want to be pregnant again but that I am desperate to have another of our babies (they are soooo wonderful!)

Fwip fwip, where's my fwibble?(Jasper Carrott stylee)

woody17 · 29/07/2012 22:31

Hi everyone - was wondering if anyone could give me any advice?

I recently had a mc and am ttc. For the last few days I have been having quite a lot of cm - it's been very slippery and watery. Yesterday I had a tiny amount of pinky tinged cm and then a bit later it was browny when I wiped. I've also been having a few cramps and twinges. I just don't know if this means anything or if I'm just obsessing over nothing.

Dany I still haven't had my first af since mc but I have read on here that some people have had a very heavy af after a mc. I would maybe call your dr/nhs direct for advice though.

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 29/07/2012 22:55

dany i have just had my first af since miscarriage, and it was very very heavy, especially the first couple of days. I assumed it was my busy getting back to normal. But if you're worried I would see the doctor.

Hope everyone else is ok. I've just lost it at DH, supposed to be ttc and he is away tomorrow so had to do it tonight..... But he says he is too bloated from dinner, can we do it in the morning?! Had told him yesterday that this week will be shag week, so he knew the score Angry Think I an getting obsessed with getting preg ASAP, but it's the only way I think i will get over mc.

Talk about a head-fuck Sad

joberg · 29/07/2012 23:07

Dany will let you know when I get mine. I can't remember from previous ones. But I echo if you are concerned, go to see your dr.

Boo to headfucks cheese. My DH has just announced that he doesn't want to be ttc anymore and the resulting fight means he is now in spare room.

Not quite the Sunday night we had in mind, eh? Hopefully everyone else is having a better one and tomorrow will
Improve for us...

Haylebop12 · 29/07/2012 23:29

I also haven't had my first Af since MC but expecting the unexpected, which I've had to get used to!!
Boo to all those DH's who are being knobbish!

Haylebop12 · 30/07/2012 10:00

Oh good morning AF! I've been expecting you!
Everyone say hi to my AF!!

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 30/07/2012 13:02

Hi there! Never said hi to an AF before, usually just swear when she turns up Grin

Haylebop12 · 30/07/2012 13:27

I will of I have another after this one! I'm
Well and truly on the wine and just shagging away when it stops!!

icequeenkate · 30/07/2012 16:47

Afternoon all,

Just taking a quick break from watching Olympics on tv... It's been a manic few days again with a trip up to see the basketball live.

wilde I am SO sorry about the CP. What a totally rotten card to be dealt. I like your approach to the next couple of months - and looking forward to the Italian Riviera is a boost for Sept. Hope you are doing ok, well, you know what I mean.

Anyone heard from chuckle? Just looked up her last post and there's been nothing for over a week - is she still away I wonder?

Welcome dany, joberg - very sad to see you join us. But this is a positive thread where anything goes as long as it involves shagging and wine, preferably at the same time!

Dany my first AF after mc was horrendous. As in soaking through a mega plus type tampon AND and towel through my pants and jeans and onto the seat in Neros coffee. Could feel the tampon sliding out as I stood up and dragged 3DSs upstairs to the loo... It was light for the first day and then mega heavy for 3 then virtually stopped. I seem to remember Wilde having a similar experience. So I think much heavier than normal is not unusual. Although very unpleasant!

boo, one, sheldon - how are you?

Must go and cook tea watch more men in the gymnastics with gloriously muscled bods.

joberg · 30/07/2012 19:06

Hi AF!!!!!

Wine and shagging at the same time!?? Think of all the washing.... ;)

Haylebop12 · 30/07/2012 19:41

It's all good fun ;-)

DanyTargaryen · 30/07/2012 23:24

icequeenkate, thank you.

Was awful this morning. I am a bit wimpy and don't tend to put tampons in overnight but after this morning, well I won't go into too much detail but it was quite horrendous, I have heavy periods anyway but usually after day 2 they tend to level off a little. I'm already soaking through super plus tampons in 3 hours and have to have a pad in as well! Okay I'm going to shut up now I am being gross. Tonight I'm just going to brave it and stick one in (a tampon that is! :o)

GoodButNoMedals · 31/07/2012 08:56

Dany mine was really heavy for the first one too. I'm normally rather light and can get away with regular for about 4 hours, but was wearing super plus and changing every couple of hours first af after mc. Next one was back to normal (as normal as I ever get as I have pcos and am rather unpredictable)

joberg is your dp coming back round to ttc? Mine doesn't want to ttc either but that's not really a surprise to me as our last pg was unplanned, he wasn't happy about it and he was relieved when I mc (obviously he was concerned about me, but he was relieved the baby was gone). He seems to be a bit more open to the idea now it's been 4 months since the mc but his answer is still no. Now it's 'no, we can't afford it' rather than just 'no, not happening', so since I have a better, more realistic idea of our finances I can counter his 'can't afford it' argument. I'm feeling more confident about convincing him eventually but it's slow going.

Since I last posted on here (as GoodButNotOutstanding) I've gone from only having one friend pg to having loads of pg friends/colleagues. 4 other teachers announced pregnancies on last day of term and I spent Sunday pm at a toddlers party where the mum announced she was pg at the party and passed her scan photo round. I struggled really badly with that but I don't think anyone noticed as I was polite and offered congratulations, etc then cried once we'd left. I am happy for her but I want it to be me too.

Sheldonella · 31/07/2012 08:58

Hi all - just a quickie. Sorry I've not been on much, I've been curled up watching the Olympics non stop :) Welcome to the newbies but sorry to see you hear. My experience of first AF was awful too, so so heavy. The nurse at the hospital warned me about it but didn't warn me that the next two would also be quite bad. I think it takes a few months for them to get back to normal.
wilde Hope you are looking after yourself. Your upcoming holiday sounds gorgeous. I was lucky enough to be taken around some of Italy by an Italian friend once - it is a beautiful country and the food is amazing.
ice Hello, hope you are well. I think I saw chuckle say she was going on holiday.
one and boo Hope you are well too!

Sheldonella · 31/07/2012 08:59

Hi Good glad to see you have made some progress with DH. I really hope he comes around soon.

wilderumpus · 31/07/2012 11:27

hi all

hello new people am glad you have to come to our party, tho so very sorry you have had mc's. Mc's suck ass. Am feeling extremely bitter today so apologies, but in a few tubs of haagen dazs days will be back to normal :)

I am just popping in quickly as am actually working today :) Not ttc is actually a very wise idea, then hopefully when work has stopped stressing me out I will make a baby that fucking STICKS! have sort of realised over the weekend that maybe my ttc#2 journey won't be easy like I hoped, and I will just have to come to terms with the fact that it will take a while. I have decided I am in for the long haul though :)

woody with the EWCM I would wonder if the red smidge was ov bleeding? after mc I had this for two months, and a few other ladies did too? is that possible? means you are super duper fertile apparently!

aw good my chicken. My friend had her baby t'other day (same day as started AF for this cp) and I was heartbroken. such weird feelings. I will go and visit but not for a while. Sounds like you have had a shocker. fucking fertile beatches Grin

hey jo DPs are freaky deaky when it comes to ttc. not surprising really, coming here helped a lot as I would spraff here instead of to him, he really didn't want to know aboyut fertile times etc!

ice I have been watching a LOT of swimming. I do like a good swim myself but oh GOD a swimmers body is just a work of art...

dany sorry to ehar about your AF. Hope it has calmed down now. ice my post-mc AF was super light actually, though saturday I nearly passed out with it all. feckin CP bollocks.

has anyone here had a CP before? I am soooooo tired atm, wonder if it could be that?

anyways, so sorry for those what I have not namechecked. Oohone have you got a bfp yet?

Grin

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 31/07/2012 18:01

Just checking in quickly, Good, that sounds so hard having to sit there and look at someone else's scan. I'm constantly amazed at how much we all go through emotionally. I was out on Sunday and something similar happened and I instantly choked up, I think I dissociated as I can no longer recall what instigated it, I just thought "not here, not now" and choked it back down.

Hi everyone! I haven't got internet on my phone at the moment so am slower to check in. I've only got bfn's here. But I DO have an infection, a cold, and am super moody pmt so am being careful to avoid people lest I rip them apart with my bare hands... (should be back to normal emotionally soon!!!).

Haylebop12 · 31/07/2012 20:01

Two new 12 week scans on FB for me today :-( both 2nd baby

wilderumpus · 01/08/2012 11:17

ug hayle. I have hidden people on my FB who constantly update their feed with smug happy baby BS mardy cow that I am

ah one. what dpo are you now? come back proper soon!

I, ahem, have been thinking and now AF has gone and DH wants to dtd with me generally (like, for fun?! wtf?! Grin) we chatted last night and decided we will get back to baby making this month :) Since if we dtd and try NOT to make a baby that is just as tricky timing wise (am not going on BC for a month and we both hate condoms) and I will just be putting out when am not even randy (as am mostly up for it when ov'ing) we decided we should just carry on as normal. However, I shall not test early! dpo 13/14 I can test, and no squinting at lines. If my baby is there they will BE there! testing early, having a faint BFP and nervously waiting for AF is like being in limbo with a mmc :( and then you get AF and your world crashes in. If i don't test early I will miss all that crap.

and I do want a baby, and I know now that our journey is a little more complicated than I thought it would be. And I can expect more heartache but can also hope that out of every cycle ONE, hopefully, will make a sticky, healthy baby. Faint heart and all that.

chin up, moving on. and am working on my Phd really well now too! excellent stuff. Bizarrely 10 mins of work then lots of time off to faff, then ten mins again really gets a lot done!

hope you ladies are well x
