So here is another thread. Good luck everyone! baby dust everywhere!

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 18:01

Thanks Nicola, Ive kind of come to terms with BFN now :-/ and as you say just need to get better! I'm certainly more knowledgable for next cycle! Weird about your spotting. They do say it takes a while for our bodies to go back to normal...I didn't want to believe them!

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 18:02

Oh, and hello to my big sis, who's been lurking today

Say hello to everyone, even though you're not TTC any baby, let alone your first! :-) xx

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 18:06

Me neither, Newbie. Seems about right though :-(

Just want to stop with the weird internal sensations and nausea now though.

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 18:14

A bit odd? Or is she going to write a book on us and make millions Grin

Pinkie29 · 06/07/2012 18:22

Just popped in for a lurk and see another bfp Smile congrats Maclairey! Hope everyone is well, is kick still around??

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 18:22

Not odd...just reading all active threads to kill time :-) Told her to say hello.

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 18:24

Oh, and excitement about us TTC too!

mrsbugsywugsy · 06/07/2012 18:34

Pop how scary for you. I have been getting sharp pains on either side of my lower abdomen, apparently it is just your uterus stretching and it normal. Sometimes it happens when I cough, or roll over in bed, other times at random.

Congratulations maclairey!

letsdothisthing · 06/07/2012 18:42

Congrats maclairey amazing news, hope you have a fab weekend away sharing your secret :)

sorry about bfn newbie may still be early like others have said but if not, you seem really positive about next cycle! Think my testing may be more like early August too rather than 31st July but as this is cycle 1 am a bit clueless really still at least we can do the 2ww together if it hasn't worked out for you this time :)

letsdothisthing · 06/07/2012 18:43

Sorry to hear about your BIL's mother Nicola... and a big hello to your big sis :o

DulcetMoans · 06/07/2012 19:12

Kick hasn't been here for a while pinkie but I've seen her in other threads. She started one about diabetes and TTC in conception so you could find her there.

Sorry about BFN newbie but it's not over yet.

Jeez pop, how awful! Glad you're ok and how nice to have an early scan!

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 20:04

Lets yeah there are too many good things to look forward to for me to let this cycle get to me! It is still early days TTC, only cycle 2 and still havent received first AF yet post pill. Maybe see you at the 2ww :)

Big wave to Nicolas sister out there :)

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 20:10

It's far too early for us to get down about it really! Even though a BFN at the end of the month is gutting. Patience evaporates as soon as you start to TTC though :-/

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 20:19

Nicola I don't think I started with patience even before the start :) You're right though, it's not like we're on cycle number 8!

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 20:36

Well, yeah, I've never been one for patience! I am worse now though :-/

Christelle2207 · 06/07/2012 20:42

Brilliant news on the BFP!

Sadly AF made a very nasty entrance on Wednesday and I was gutted, had a bit of a cry etc. mostly because it came on day 25, 9dpo which I know is too short a LP to sustain pregnancy. Gobbling down the b6 has not helped at all yet. The only good thing about short cycles is that they come round again quickly so still could theoretically get a July BFP.

Anyway am feeling better now, esp as we have first appointment with fertility clinic in 2 weeks. Not got high expectations but will be good to feel like I'm doing something, and I think stressing about getting pg may well be having an effect on my chances and really hope by seeking help I can relax a bit more.

Had a meeting today which actually ended up discussing breast feeding. I left the room to leave them to it. Fed up of "your turn next" type comments!!

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 21:08

I'm sorry, Christelle :-(

How long have you been trying?

Good luck at your fertility appt.

Christelle2207 · 06/07/2012 22:06

Thanks.
Since October.
A lot of ladies on here seem to get pg very quickly, and/or have dc already clearly I don't fit into either group! Hope you're in the former!

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 22:15

I hope so too, but there are no guarantees. And I've felt properly odd this week. But if it doesn't happen quickly, there are at least others to talk to about it.

LisaC2611 · 06/07/2012 22:29

Christelle I feel for you.

I came home tonight and had a good cry on the hubby's shoulder as I set myself up for a fall this cycle. I haven't been trying as long as you, but I really thought we would hit the jackpot this cycle and all I've felt for the last few days is af like symptoms, plus af is not due until next Thursday, but I know she's on her way. I feel like my age and weight is against me and that its just never going to happen, plus I won't be able to do anything about it because the doc will just send me away to lose weight.

I think its a case of when you want something so bad and it doesn't happen you get so down about it. Plus all the comment about it will be you next get wearing after a while. We've only been married 6 months (nearly 7) and everyone expects you to jump on the baby wagon as soon as the ring hits your finger.

We're all here for you though if you feel the need to chat/vent.

Christelle2207 · 06/07/2012 22:47

Thanks, it's shit isn't it. Last two months I've even had the strange taste in mouth thing, was so hopeful!

On another note I lost weight some years ago, dieting was a nightmare, it was the exercise that did it, started off running for 2 minutes on the treadmill I've now run 3 half marathons. Running's not for everyone but I know loads of others who've had success with Zumba for example. I'm pretty fit the days and I love feeling that way. Hasn't helped me with TTC but bet it helps loads of ladies out there.

Newbie2 · 07/07/2012 00:05

Aww Christelle that's sad that TTC made you feel so down. It's such a roller coaster of emotions but it sounds like you've managed to get into a fertility clinic quick to help you along. It doesn't help that we have so much info at our fingertips (google)...I'm sure it makes us more stressed even if we feel better at the time for knowing (think we know)!

Lisa I hope your DH cheered you up! My DH doesn't like me getting upset about TTC because he feels it adds more pressure...I know he's right but it's so easy for him to say it!

Newbie2 · 07/07/2012 07:40

Right, had to dig around for the list but eventually found it. Thought we'd start the day with a positive outlook. Anyone else want to join the list?

Nicolahazel - Cycle 2 - BFP 18 July

Newbie2 · 07/07/2012 07:46

My mum told me last night that she was 4 months pregnant when she realised she was pregnant with my sister. She didn't know because she was still having periods as normal...how weird is that!

NicolaHazel · 07/07/2012 08:17

My friend's mum was the same with both of hers. Odd, isn't it?
