Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 08:43

Mclairey just goes to show waiting pays off! And you didn't even have that many signs did you! Yay :)

Maclairey · 06/07/2012 08:44

Thank you so much. Still don't believe it really. Don't want to get too excited as its very early days. Now I need to figure out what to tell my friend who is getting married why I can't drink!

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 08:45

Nicola aw sorry about you BIL's mum. It's always sad when you know someone. Don't feel too glum though as it sounds like everything is on your side at the moment. Highly likely OV and swimmers waiting around...all good things!

MissMedusa · 06/07/2012 08:46

Congratulations Maclairey!

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 08:47

Mclairey do you need to tell her at all? I have lots of friends who have been disguising there drinking habits at weddings...even at mine in April

DulcetMoans · 06/07/2012 09:12

Maclairey, maybe you are on antibiotics, can't drink on anti-biotics! CONGRATUALTIONS though! Soooooo pleased it went the right way. You were so patient, you deserved it!

I'm not getting on with the sticks either nicola but then I haven't done the holding in wee, FMU either. I didn't think you had to with these but can't say i've read it properly. Never got anything more than the fainest of faint lines! Got accepted onto the Clear Blue thing this morning though so that's something to look forward to.

Right, who's next to test now?? Where's that list?!

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 09:15

Newbie on Monday. Otherwise known as tomorrow, ha ha!!

LisaC2611 · 06/07/2012 09:19

I got accepted for the clear blue study this morning as well

DulcetMoans · 06/07/2012 09:22

Did they say to you about keeping wee in the fridge lisa? Not sure how that will go down with DP! haha.

LisaC2611 · 06/07/2012 09:32

Oo no dulcet, just that I would have to collect samples and send them to them. Hmm not sure hubby is going to appreciate that! Will have a good read of the consent form before I agree!

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 09:45

Yeah, Bri may think I'm a bit odd keeping wee in the fridge!

DulcetMoans · 06/07/2012 09:54

Yeah, thats what she said to me. Sure it will be fine. She said they give all the containers and plastic bags. Hopefully going to be able to keep mine in the flappy bit of the door of the fridge. Keeps it out the way!

LisaC2611 · 06/07/2012 09:56

Thankfully hubby is buying in to the testing thing so hopefully I can talk him into this too. Let's just hope the stuff turns up soon my next cycle starts next week

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 10:02

What are they sending you? Sticks or CBFM?

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 10:10

I have docs appt this morning so I'll keep you posted. FX she fixes me!

LisaC2611 · 06/07/2012 10:24

They didn't tell me what they would be sending, just that it was a clear blue fertility product. Am hoping its the CBFM, but who knows

LisaC2611 · 06/07/2012 10:25

Good luck at the drs Newbie hope you get it sorted!

Popinda · 06/07/2012 11:20

maclairey congratulation! I knew you are in with the chance! Was this your first cycle of ttc? It's a strange feeling when you see that second line isn't it? Whe is af due? Which test did you do?

DulcetMoans · 06/07/2012 12:29

So many questions pop!

Hope you get some answers from the drs newbie!

mumbaisapphire · 06/07/2012 13:53

Excellent news Mclairey. And you thought it wouldn't happen. There's hope for us all. Regarding the drinking, I'd say that if it's a busy enough wedding then you would easily get away with it. Your friend the bride will be busy going from guest to guest to even notice...or is this where you tell us it is a quiet ceremony with bride and groom plus you and your partner for witnesses?! I think you should make yourself be seen with alcohol but not necessarily drink it. It's much harder when you are out for dinner with a small group and then you feel you have to excuse yourself. Good luck

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 15:17

Afternoon! Ok so I'll try and summarise my doctors appointment. Test results not bk yet (like suspected) however doctor now believes I had food poisioning from homemade sausage rolls back on 10th June (like I suspected) and gut has tried to recover on its own but has failed. Have been given 5 days of antibiotics (not as long as I expected) to help gut back to normal. Doctor looked up antibiotics and you can take with pregnancy (obviously like with everything still an unknown risk).

So, came home and did a CB test as wanted an answer before taking pills and still BFN. Going to start taking pills this afternoon. I think we can count me out the waiting list now. Good news is I'll be better for Ovulation time and doc told me this shouldn't interfere with AF or OV. So I'm looking more like a April baby which is fine, will be a lovely 1st anniversary present! And I'll next be testing on 6th Aug a week before we move house so that's exciting!

Popinda · 06/07/2012 15:49

maclairey what is your edd? Can you still join us in march thread? I hope so!
newbie at least now you know what were all those funny aches and pains you had! Fx for next month bfp!

You could still be pregnant, Newbie, don't give up yet!

And at least you're on the way to sorting the stomach problem too :-)

I'm still having spotting, which isn't good. Not meant to last this long. Hope it isn't some hormone issue. Feel most weird still. I'm seriously not keen on natural hormones!
