Oh pop glad your ok. How worrying for you and your dh

Thanks for the info about the sides our bodies definitely intriguing things

Still know I'm out this month though so will just have to hope for a August bfp instead

Maclairey · 05/07/2012 22:38

Glad to hear you and your bean are ok Pop. You must have been so worried.

So the question is, do I use a FRER or a Superdrug test in the morning? I have both but not sure what would be best. Still not feeling confident but I guess I will find out in the morning. No sign of AF or any cm at all.

NicolaHazel · 05/07/2012 22:49

Hmmm...in that case I'm just not ovulating then Lisa. Not that great!

NicolaHazel · 05/07/2012 22:57

Though did you say you didn't get on with the cheapie ones, Newbie?

Popinda · 06/07/2012 05:58

maclairey any news? Did you test?

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 06:24

Nicola I always got a test line on my OV sticks. The reason I didn't like them is because the second line was always there. I could never work out if it was dark enough to tell me If I'd OV or not. Don't panic just yet because I've read that you can get faulty batches. How long are you holding your pee in? 3hrs or 4hrs? I thought you were doing your tests FTITM?

Pop she's probably not awake yet

So, even though my tests are not back yet I'm going to ring doctor and see if I can see someone as pains came back yesterday. I don't want to have a miserable weeked, especially as I need to sort stuff out for the move.

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 06:26

Well...no DTD last night as H2B came to bed far too late :-(

But, OPK advice needed: dark ish 1st line (not as dark as HPT control line) and second line that isn't faint, but isn't quite as dark. Is that still negative?!

And Maclairey, we need to know your result!!!!!

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 06:28

That's a negative. Keep going with the sticks though. How many do you have left?

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 06:28

No, holding in for no more than 2 hours and doing it after work. Today is first FMU test.

I've had faint 2nd lines, just nothing darker. Until today.

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 06:28

Ummm...a few. Not getting any more as I can't be bothered with deciphering them!

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 06:30

2hrs isn't long enough. Can you upload a photo?

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 06:31

The two lines are meant to be the same colour so for your sanity I might take that as a negative. If you're only holding pee for 2hrs that explains why they're not working.

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 06:35

Thing is, I can't do it at work, and then I pee regularly at home because I can!

It's gone 10 mins now, but will have a go in a bit! :-)

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 06:40

Understood, you would get funny looks carrying a tea light holder around the office Grin

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 07:05

I would! Photo up...so hard to get focus on these things!

I hope your doctor has news for you Newbie, as you must be so fed up. :-(

letsdothisthing · 06/07/2012 07:20

Morning all

CD7 in our house today, still not started OPK as don't ov till about day 19-21! Fx for Maclairey today! Wish I was off to Cyprus for wedding rather than going to work!

Sorry to hear about the hospital visit Pop, but like you say, at least you got some reassurance and will also get monitored sooner than you would have otherwise :)

Sorry you're feeling I'll newbie, hope the docs help today!

Nicola, do you think you've ov yet then, even though you're not getting on with the OPK?

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 07:35

Hi lets!

Yes, I think I have OV'd, judging by the spotting as it is apparently caused by ovulation in some shape or form.

I may not have been waiting long enough for the results, I think though.

Shame H2B decided that this week he wasn't bothered about DTD! Will be a miracle if it happens this month. Need to pounce later, I think :-)

letsdothisthing · 06/07/2012 07:40

Sounds like a plan :) and hopefully you'll be one of the lucky July BFP's before long but if not at least you have the CB trial to look forward to

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 08:07

Nicola hmmm that looks like a very similar line. I can see a small difference. It is a tricky one! I had something very similar but turned out to be 4 days too early. I don't think you're going to know for sure. Don't worry you've DTD so regularly I'm pretty sure you have lots of swimmers up there...remember they last for a long time like almost 7 days!

Newbie2 · 06/07/2012 08:12

Um where's Mclairey?

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 08:12

Tell me about it, Newbie...they've been getting darker!

Still feel I should maybe do it tonight, though we will definitely do it tomorrow morning. We will see!

This thread needs more BFPs please :-)

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 08:15

She needs to bloody show up!

Oh, I'm super hormonal...my BIL's mum died this morning, cried my eyes out on the train, even though I didn't know her that well. I'm upset for him though as he's devastated. :-(

MissMedusa · 06/07/2012 08:19

Nicola, don't worry so much about the lines on the OPK. It's all about the concentration of LH in your urine and if you're well hydrated or your LH levels are a little lower, you'll never get very high levels. I'm the same, I only ever get a very faint line for a day or two and then a darker line but just barely as dark as the test line when I test in the afternoon of the day of my surge.

Some women will always have a faint line throughout the month as the concentration of LH is always higher, I've never had that. What matters is the change in the line, if you didn't have a line before and now you do, it's a good sign, even if it isn't as dark as the control line.

Maclairey · 06/07/2012 08:24

Ummmmm its a BFP.

Am shaking right now!!

NicolaHazel · 06/07/2012 08:27

Wow! Congrats Maclairey!!

And thank you Medusa, that is exactly what I needed to be told :-)
