Welcome to the 2.30 from Mumsnet Towers. The fillies have been groomed to within an inch of their lives and are raring to go.

Late entries for the race are required to locate and fill in the BESHtionnaire so that their form can be assessed.

Bring on the stallions!

Sorry about the droid Faith [burys droid in muck pit]

Good news about your dad though Grin you must be very happy.

Oh faith that is tough! Fecking stupid fecking droid! I prescribe going back to bed with a cuppa. Is it due to brighten up weather-wise where you are? I always find it helps when the sun is out might explain why I've been such a grumpy cah recently

ShredniVashtar · 21/07/2012 08:35

Xpost, cave! Smile

HaveALittleFaith · 21/07/2012 09:21

Chose back to bed to sleep! Thanks ladies. Yes I do believe it's sunny out there shreds :) need to tidy the house a bit but I reckon I might actually garden!

Northey · 21/07/2012 10:26

Bastard bastard droid, faith. How rude of it to turn up early.

Sunny day here too. I am lying on the (still slightly damp) grass and contemplating things.

HaveALittleFaith · 21/07/2012 10:46

Sounds deeps norf. I'm vegging on the sofa with a giant mug of tea in my jammies watching shhh Dawson's Creek. Good grief, it's dated! I used to luff this show. The clothes in particular! I'm enjoying it, it's just.....a bit awful really. I still have a crush on Josh Jackson though Wink

Northey · 21/07/2012 11:38

It's only another way of saying I'm staring at the flowers and wondering what colour to paint my toenails!

Dawson's Creek! I was always too distracted by the really abnormally large head that Dawson had to be able to relax into it properly. Seriously his head blocks out the sun!

ShredniVashtar · 21/07/2012 11:46

Never mind Dawson's enlarged head, it was their enlarged vocabulary that always made me laugh! Seriously, what teenagers ever have conversations like that?

Hooray for sunshine! Have just tackled some of the bigger weeds in the garden. Tis shocking what's been happening out there these past weeks!

Off to the seaside later to spend time with the outlaws. Hopefully there won't be too much chat about DSIL who's about to have her baby 10 days after mine would have been due. It's a different branch of GFBW's family so should be more centred on sitting on the beach drinking wine and eating cheese!

HaveALittleFaith · 21/07/2012 12:02

Yes definitely a large head, very square initially although it seemed to stretch up as time went on. In retrospect, he has scary eyebrows! Ah just saw the first Joey/Pacey kiss :) I'm just pottering round the house tidying before I hit the garden now!

Northey · 21/07/2012 12:17

I have just been trying on a wedding dress I bought yesterday! I don't think I'm the type who looks right on wedding dresses. I have too much bosom and a bit of a thing about not displaying it in church. But it was scandalously cheap in the monsoon sale, so I thought I would buy it anyway, and keep it as an option.

HaveALittleFaith · 21/07/2012 12:23

Ooh exciting norf! I tried on lots of dresses before I found the right one. I kept seeing myself in the mirror and thinking that's not right. When I found my dress I looked in the mirror and thought I look like a bride!
Mine was quite structured to hold the ladies in place and boned so it kept my stomach in.

Northey · 21/07/2012 12:26

I am also hideously broad shouldered and loathsomely ugly so I feel at a huge disadvantage anyway!

Northey · 21/07/2012 12:34

I am hoping, naturally, that the purchase of a wedding dress will make me updiffed so I can no longer fit into it. I'm sure that's how it's meant to work.

HaveALittleFaith · 21/07/2012 14:05

But of course norf. Life is full of irony like that!

One third of the front of the garden hacked back in last hour and half but frankly (or should it be Frankel?!) it's too darn hot to do much more. I'm off into town a bit later for a contact check and to return some shoes. They're nude wedge heels but they're just too high and I feel like an idiot in them. I think they look like stripper heels but MSB was slightly less flattering. Just hope they'll say ok coz it's been over a month...

CaveMum · 21/07/2012 14:21

Oooo, any links to your wedding dress Norf? I'll show you mine if you show me yours.

Oh, and have a [fish slap] for calling yourself ugly.

Faithy have you watched Don't Trust The Bitch in Apartment 23? I luff it, 'tis hilarious. It's got James van der Shnooz in it playing a parody of himself trying to trade his way through life on his Dawsons Creek fame Grin

OP posts:
HaveALittleFaith · 21/07/2012 14:30

Yes I very much enjoyed it cavey! He's much leaner these days, isn't he?

Northey · 21/07/2012 16:33

Lean, but still massive of head...

Dress was sale stock, cavelina, and isn't on the monsoon website. When I'm a bit thinner I might put up a photo of me wearing it for you to laugh at admire. But I have just eaten practically a whole loaf of bread on my own, so am a bit too bloated for it at the moment.

Shoes sound nice, faify! Tell MSB to buy you some new ones if he doesn't like them and then keep the old ones anyway.

CaveMum · 21/07/2012 16:43

He was in one if those dodgy straight-to-tv sea monster films called Killer Squid (or the like). HWHNN refers to him as Van Der Forehead - he's not wrong Grin

In exciting news, I've managed to tag on to a visit to Frankel's stable yard next week. It's nigh on impossible to get a visit due to security, etc so that's very exciting. I'm then heading to Goodwood the week after to watch him race again [groupie]

OP posts:
Northey · 21/07/2012 17:40

You are such a groupie! Where does Frankel live, anyway?

CaveMum · 21/07/2012 17:46

He lives at Warren Place Stables in Newmarket? When he is retired to stud he'll move just outside the town to his owners Banstead Manor Stud

OP posts:
CaveMum · 21/07/2012 17:47

Don't know why that random "?" appeared!

OP posts:
Northey · 21/07/2012 20:13

Not that you're stalking him, or anything :)

HaveALittleFaith · 21/07/2012 22:11

You're like, ?, excited?

Grr my (relatively new chain has got tangled in a complicated beaded necklace from a friend. I've been trying to remove it for ages. I think the only answer is to snip it Confused

sinkingflameofhilarity · 21/07/2012 22:30

Grin I love your Frankle updates cave!

Can you not get MSB to try and untangle the necklace knots faife?

Just home, after a Looong day at work. Found the gin and tonic though, so in a good place at the mo.

Everyone enjoy the intermittent sun today? I enjoys looking at it out the window.. Envy

HaveALittleFaith · 21/07/2012 22:51

One is a gold. Jain. The other is like a big chunky thing with pearls all over it. It held in the middle by elastic. I can't get to the chain to pull it out because of the pearls. Nightmare. He says he will have a go tomorrow.

Sunshine was nice. I got a bit of gardening done and we had a BBQ at my sisters tonight but I was feeling like crap so we left early

Enjoy the gin sink.
