Welcome to the 2.30 from Mumsnet Towers. The fillies have been groomed to within an inch of their lives and are raring to go.

Late entries for the race are required to locate and fill in the BESHtionnaire so that their form can be assessed.

Bring on the stallions!

Bugs I had next to no symptoms... hang in there :)

Northey · 24/06/2012 17:55

Now then, you know perfectly well that symptoms mean practically nothing in early diffage. Some people start morning sickness seconds after sex, and others don't have a single symptom till 20 weeks. The only thing that counts is the next scan. How long do you have left to wait, buggerlovey?

I know. Like I said before, it's a horrible balancing act between keeping positive and preparing yourself for the worst.

Northey · 24/06/2012 18:09

Still no bleeding, though?

LauraPalmerish · 24/06/2012 18:25

Wow, Euro - I'm learning so much through your experience. The people I've known who've gone through IVF haven't been very forthcoming with details (which makes complete sense), so this is all new to me. Totally understand about the hormonal business, though. I've never been good on synthetic hormones either - makes me even witchier than I am normally!

We've been having a very quiet weekend. I'm tired and emotionally up-and-down. I know I should be happy but I'm really down. Only 16 more sleeps to get past the same number of pg days I got to with the 1st mc (which happened at 71 days and after we saw a heartbeat Sad). I know I'll feel better if we can make it past that 71-day marker.

eurochick · 24/06/2012 18:34

I've got everything crossed for you, Laura & Bugs.

Norfy I'm not sure. I definitely have one more week of downregging until I have my scan to make sure everything is "switched off" and then more if it isn't. And then I think I continue with a lower dose of the downregging drug whilst I add the stimming drugs on top for around 10 days, or until my ovaries have grown follicles to the right size. So, it depends, but most likely about another 3 weeks. I suspect KPZK is removing all sharp objects from the house as we speak. He was rather worried earlier about going shooting again next weekend....

My horse is a glossy black (to match my mood) stallion called Fury. He's a bit twitchy and bitey, so watch out.

Not an easy time for the BESH all told.... euro I agree with bugs you are one hell of a strong woman. Try to be kind to yourself cheesy phrase but you know what I mean lots of long baths and chocolate. I too am learning. I realise I have leaned loads in the 18 months I've been on MN. Don't much about being diffed but know lots about how to get diffed know Hmm
bugs I'm glad to hear there's no bleeding. Hang in there. I'm thinking growy thoughts for baybee.
sinks I'm really hoping the new clinic are set up to advise you and support you appropriately!
I've had a luffly day, lazy morning followed by going over to see my friend. She was my housemate in uni and at one time she was all the way in Cumbria and I missed her loads. Now she's in Worksop so less than an hour from here :) we went for a long walk and a good old chinwag and put the world to rights! She always makes me laugh and I think the exercise and albeit infrequent sunshine have perked me up. Chill out tonight watching the footie with MSB.

CaveMum · 24/06/2012 19:44

Oh a down thread Sad

Gin and carrots all round I think.

Perhaps this will cheer us all up. One for the Cumberbatch fans out there Wink

Dammit, posted too soon.

Hello lovelies

Intravenous gin anyone? (dot, LP and Bugs I'm afraid the best I can offer is intravenous Ribena with a spectacular chocolate brownie on the side).

Euro/cavey - thanks for the 'assistance' info. Like LP says I know a few people who have gone through or are going through various assisted procedures but have never really known what they involve.

sinky hope this clinic is better. In my experience a lot of the NHS is shite unless you're a bit of a pushy middle class nag (geddit - nag? Not just a hat rack my friend). Well worth knowing what they can do and mithering for it, or at least an explanation as to why they don't do it, IYSWIM.

norfy Grin at medically sanctioned downtime. EOD is a lot! It's taking all my womanly wiles to keep HY interested. He's not used to so much action after all these years!

LP and bugs. Keeping hooves crossed for you both. Bugs for what it's worth excessive CM is a symptom! I had lots and its recognised by Dr Google...

faif sounds like a lush weekend! are you not far from Worksop? HY hails from near there.

I am so glad we're going home tomorrow. This place is gorgeous but it's so family friendly that at least 85% of all womenfolk here are diffed-up. Am so Envy I think I've developed new frown lines. Grrrrr

HaveALittleFaith · 24/06/2012 20:07

I'm in the shire of Lincoln humpity so it's only a quick trip down the A57 to Worksop :)

CamelKnees · 24/06/2012 20:12

Ahhh ok. HY's little village is the other side of Worksop from you. It's the smallest place I've ever been to. Proper one horse town. Ba dum bum psssssshhhhhh

alwyn · 24/06/2012 20:45

Love the idea of intravenous gin!!

I'm glad I'm not currently pregnant - the stress of this bloody football game is unreal. Oh well, here goes another 45 minutes of hell......

Northey · 24/06/2012 21:30

I went to bed at half time, alwynstardust... Watching football was interfering with my need to grope my buzzwams to check tenderness (minimal but discernible).

CamelKnees · 24/06/2012 21:37

Grin at the thought of Northey in bed gently tweaking the baps.

I swear to god I could swing from the fricking lampshade with a live grenade dangling off each tit and he wouldn't bat an eyelid right now.......

HaveALittleFaith · 24/06/2012 22:32

Oh no :(

HaveALittleFaith · 24/06/2012 22:57

Oh I've been in touch with rie for those who know her she says hi! She's just in the investigations phase but she's ok.

bugs, I have to rush off to work, but just wanted to say I'm crossing every finger and toe for you. I really hope you're wrong.

I'll try and drop in later to see how youre getting on.

Kx

HaveALittleFaith · 25/06/2012 07:43

bugs I'm in the same boat as sinky but I echo her sentiments. Sounds wise to take the time off

CaveMum · 25/06/2012 07:54

Oh Bugs, more support and hand holding here. I too have absolutely everything crossed for you. I know your scan is tomorrow but can you call them and ask for an emergency scan today?

((((hugs))))
