bugger fingers crossed and hold on to hope lovely. boobs change all the time... and lots of people have recurring spotting - brown blood is a good sign eh?

My best friend had pads and pads of red blood at 13 weeks and was just one of those things, she is now 37 weeks.

xxxx

Just a quick check in to give bug a squeeze and I'm thinking of you xx

JaffaSnaffle · 02/07/2012 12:51

bugger, I am so sorry you are going through this worrying time. I really hope it is just a little bleed, nothing dreadful. I can understand why you are worried. It is such an anxious time in its own right, without bleeding. Thinking of you. Can you get a scan?

also thinking of you moomin. have you got your appointment? Hope your bleeding had gone away too.

I am a bit better today. In fact much better, which us a big surprise considering I hardly slept. Feeling much more focused on what is happening now than the past, so that helps. Also got my appointment to see perinatal counsellor, not fir weeks, but still helps me think something will happen.

MrsPear · 02/07/2012 15:07

Hello everyone

Bugger and moomin i hope you can get scans for reassurance

Jaffa glad you are feeling better today.

Big wave to everyone else [hands out apple pie as that is DS decided he wanted]

I had another scan today. At the cervix clinic. Baby is still there with a heart beat. I am 14 weeks +1. My cervix is not as bad as they thought. I have 3 options a stitch (improves my chances to go full time by 40%), pessaries until 34 weeks (improvement about the same as stitch) or do nothing. Got to make another appointment to see my consultant ASAP. No luck in getting hold of anyone so far.

MrsPear · 02/07/2012 15:48

Good luck for tomorrow bugger

I have no idea wilde i still can't get hold of anyone to change my appointment. DH is useless at making decisions at the best of times. HELP!

Moominsarescary · 02/07/2012 16:52

No more bleeding but I can't even get into see the gp until tomorrow!

Good luck bugger glad you've got a scan booked.

pear I have the choice of a stitch or waiting to see what happens, pesseries didn't help the last two times I had them but I guess it depends what the problem is

backwardpossom · 02/07/2012 17:19

moomins are you able to bypass the GP and just phone the EPU yourself? x

Midgetm · 02/07/2012 17:20

Bugger So sorry you are having this shit time. I know it doesn't matter that it is brown blood when you have past MC history - we remember what happened last time and assume the worst. mine have previously started like that too. However - when I had brown CM this time I totally feared the worst and yet here I am still hanging in and close to viability did I say that out loud? So what I am trying to say is it aint over till the fat lady sings and I have not yet sung. Here's hoping that you get an ERPC referral as quickly as possible to end the angst of not knowing. In the meantime be kind to yourself and try and remain as positive as possible in the circumstances or just don't drive yourself totally mental and stay away from Dr Google

Jaffa So glad you are feeling better - the highs and lows can be exhausting. At least you recognise why though and are doing something about it. Dr Midge thinks this stands you in good stead.

Moomin Any joy on a scan? GP is a waste of time in these kind of scenarios but do you have to be referred? A lot of EPU's are self referral these days. Good sign that there is no more bleeding.

MrsPear Wish Dr Midge could offer you advice on your dilemma but I was off med school that day with a hangover. If you go the 'do nothing route do how close an eye do they keep on you to see if it deteriorates over the course of the pregnancy?

I have my scan to check on the band this week (fold not band, fold not band). Have been googling myself into extinction with questions for my consultant. Having me as a patient must be exhausting.

Waves at everyone and offers up a slice of gluten free pizza then quickly snatches it back as I am very hungry

StateofConfusion · 02/07/2012 17:56

Glad your feeling better jaffa I keep getting rather overwhelmed too by moving, car selling/buying and everything else I have to 'do' this year, I sometimes have to step back, and remember how much better it is than last year and breath.

Fingers crossed for moomin and bugger

I've no advice mrspear but good to hear baby is still well :)

Well 15+2 here Shock tired, nauseaus --grumpy as fuck-- weird eating habbits and headaches. Bundle of joy I am!

StateofConfusion · 02/07/2012 17:57
Grin
Midgetm · 02/07/2012 18:13

Bloody DD ate some of my pizza. Humph.

Moominsarescary · 02/07/2012 18:14

Well I just phoned the maternity assessment unit as it says you can self refer and they told me to go to a&e! Well I'm not doing that

Midgetm · 02/07/2012 18:19

A&E is indeed a grim place - why you have to go there is beyond me. They do like a procedure don't they? Ours you go straight to EPU unless out of hours. Maybe keep it as a plan B if bleeding worsens or you get pain?

Moominsarescary · 02/07/2012 18:57

I've never been told to go to a&e before, unless bleeding or pain got worse. I'll just ring the doctors again in the morning.

moo when I got bfp I phoned EPU as mc was only April - they told me to phone back at 6 weeks to book an early scan - to ring back in the meantime if any probs - am 6 weeks tomorrow but waiting until Friday to phone as mc was 6+6 fx -they also told me not to phone GP until after scan just shows every area is different (I'm by the in he East)

bug big hugs for tomorrow

state how are you feeling after your weekend??

oo00PIXIE00oo · 02/07/2012 20:01

Damn iPad I'm by the sea in the East! Lol

oo00PIXIE00oo · 02/07/2012 20:07

Ladies I have just had a look at the mosh pit stats and they are a tad out of date (IQ is still 36wks pg!)

If you are comfortable and ready please re-add your stats on here and I will put them altogether towards the end of the week x

squeakymac · 02/07/2012 20:12

buggers hoping scan tomorrow goes ok and its a false alarm fx. Same to you moomin hoping for reassurance

mrspear at least they've given you options I guess and allowing you some say rather than just dictating management to you? Hope you get appointment with consultant to discuss soon.

jaffa glad you're feeling better, you're still grieving while looking forward to the new arrival, must be very hard and confusing at times Sad

9+4 here and knackered! Horrible weekend of house moving combined with a long-planned night away with friends which was lovely. Told my 2 pregnant friends about my news as I wanted them to cover for me drinking-wise! Was much more emotional telling them than I expected, they each had a MC before a successful PG and are now on their respective 2nds so they were lovely with lots of good advice, I'm so glad I told them first. I'm sure everyone else guessed but were sensible enough not to say anything as we'd normally be a v boozy group when we get together Smile

squeakymac · 02/07/2012 20:18

Ooh and tedmundo huge congrats on the BFP! Knew you tested too early delighted for you {smile}

MissCoffeeNWine · 02/07/2012 20:33

Hello everyone I've just had a read through and a catch up as I haven't been on for a couple of weeks. Sounds like there has been a lot of news! Congratulations to all the BFPs and it's good to see those numbers-of-weeks inching ever higher!

I have my fingers crossed for moomin and bugger - hang in there. Great to see you TTCing pebs you can join me in the wonky uterus club. Nearly at viability midget I hope you'll be licking yourself good! How are you martha? I'm right there with you jaffa - I miss my little boy, he should be just over 3 months and finding his little fists :( But I do have my new girl who is pretty adept with her fists on my bladder. It's a tearing kind of feeling.

I had regular scans on my cervi mrspear but they were all fine, just sympathising on the regular use of dildocam really, it's quite the instrument. Which option do you think will be best for you?

To join the club, today I am 30 weeks pregnant Shock

It's all come on a bit suddenly, I've now got a noticable bump but a couple of weeks ago half of work still didn't know and were shocked when I told them, don't think you can miss it now though, it's like the baby doubled size overnight. I can only wear my stretchier clothes now and my jeans are out even with the hairband as my ass doubled in size too I'm feeling properly pregnant for the first time. I'm still not really in the buying things for baby camp, we've nowhere to put anything (nowhere to put a baby really) I've picked up clothes and some nappies but that's it so far. DD has been sorting her toys out and filled a box with toys for the baby - I didn't ask her to do that so it's very sweet.

I'm training someone up to take over at work from next week, I'm only in for several hours a week so that's why it'll take so long. Hoping to be all done by 39 weeks, I will be taking 6 weeks off before I restart very part time so I hope it's roughly on schedule.

I have my next midwife appointment at 34 weeks, it's s strange thing to have all the attention at the start of the pregnancy and not at the end. Seems a long time. I'm sure she'll want to talk birth at that one, which is a bit daunting. Still on for another homebirth but the practicalities boggle the mind a bit this time, I'm sure it will work out.

Anyway I hope all are well, and it's great to see the graduates back again - 12 weeks IQ where does it go and manda sorry to hear you've been in hospital for your DS but glad to hear he's getting better (if smellier).

Here I am for the stats:

MissCoffeeNWine: 1 MC @ 14 weeks 1 MC @ 17 weeks - DD1 (5) and 30 weeks pregnant with DD2.

kirrinIsland · 02/07/2012 20:58

moomin and bugger - got my fingers and toes firmly crossed for you both xxx

Kirrin: 1 top (anacephaly) @ 13 weeks - DD (18m) - mmc @ 12 weeks - 22 weeks pregnant with DD2
