Confused by all the TTC talk? OPKs? Taking your temperature?! Then this is the thread for you! We want babies the good old-fashioned way - through drunken, spontaneous shagging at any time of the month Grin. All you need is a man, Wine, ramekins and a batch of cheapo pregnancy sticks, and you're good to go! (Shag-capes and actual Sex optional)

The group is so successful that you can see the results for yourself in our graduates thread full of mamas who JSed their way to motherhood. Getting a BFP within a few weeks is known as "doing a kitten", and due to the secret and magical powers of the Just Shagging thread, this happens from time to time.

We have our own TTC language - EWCM is now known as "pant snot", AF is now "ERTD" (Evil red tide of DOOM!), OV is ovulation, and of course, JSing is Just Shagging!

Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex Wink

Old thread is here if you want proof it works!

turnips are really albino beetroots

really?? I never knew that

babylann · 22/05/2012 15:10

Also growing things in the garden at the moment. I've got fledgling tomato plants in the window sill, amongst a sea of homegrown herbs. Outside I've got salad greens, potatoes, onions & shallots, runner beans, peas, carrots, cabbage, blueberries, peppers and chillies making their way, very slowly, to my dinner plate.

At least all this waiting for these things to grow is reminding and preparing me of pregnancy, and how bloody slow it is. The first few months are okay, cause you're just a normal person, you've not told many people and you don't even have a bump! The second trimester you start to notice that you've been "pregnant for ages now" and remember lovely things like Wine that you can't have anymore. The third trimester - I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy! Especially not when you go 2 weeks overdue. I have never known a slower passing of time, ever.

We think we're doing a lot of pant rummaging now Wink I was constantly investigating for a "show", wondering whether my waters broke only to find perfectly dry pants, etc., in those last 3 months. JSing was replaced with desperate, "get-that-baby-out-of-me" shagging and membrane sweeps... Ah, we've all got an exciting road ahead of us Grin

In other news, I just listed my first item for sale on ebay. Scary!

Hi everyone - congrats on the vomiting bugsy.

My JSing seems to have come to a halt since abandoning the science bit. Maybe he liked the science? I know he couldn't wait to do the fertility test he ordered from Amazon! This cycle I have to hope that I have ovulated super early or he has long life sperm to even suspect I'm pg.

MuddyWellyNelly · 22/05/2012 16:19

I don't know kitten but it looks like it!! I didn't know what a beetroot looked like till I grew my first couple harvest.

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 22/05/2012 17:34

Woman DS is 5.5 and DD is 2.5. Would ideally like a just-3-years age gap so best get on with it! Think me may JS tonight despite the fact that I'm no where near a helpful point in my cycle...trying to convince my OH that my new found interest in JSing is NOTHING to do with TTC Grin!

Persuasion · 22/05/2012 17:40

Welcome chocolate and guineapig. I think we are all also obsessed, just trying to focus it on the JSing instead of more technical methods!

I'd like to second 'shagging like something' as a phrase. I'm doing my best but it's amounting to once a day, occasionally twice and DH doesn't know what's hit him!

SunshineandChoccy · 22/05/2012 17:43

teddy super congratulations for your BFP

Need to catch up on all the new updates but wanted to post something before the opportunity raced right past me.

Welcome to all the newbies and hello everyone

mandasand · 22/05/2012 17:48

beautifully sunny here :)

really nice plan, woman, to share a bit of your best friend's garden. I'm sure you can do stuff to improve the soil ... erm, not sure what though ... maybe mix in compost?! 15-year wait list!! bonkers. off the top of my head there are six allotments sites within a mile of our house - didn't realise we were so lucky. our lottie has got lots of charity stuff happening too and a big festival in the summer. love it!

there's a lot to be said for growing tatties, muddy! we've got three or four sorts in but have forgotten which is which :)

babylann nice selection of veggies :) like the analogy with pregnancy too.

kitten, thanks for the encouragement re shed-shagging! most of the peeps are retired and get their digging done in the morning, so often we're alone in the evenings and, as I keep saying to DH, it only needs to be a quickie!! (It would have to be - it's a v. small shed!) Hmm, perhaps tonight?! Will report back! And yes come over for strawberry smoothies, hehe! Wine (-ish). they are so lush. we put oats in (after seeing Hugh F-W make his 'thickies' on tv) and even (when we can be arsed) make our own yoghurt (which makes us sound a lot more like the couple from The Good Life than we really are!)

MuddyWellyNelly · 22/05/2012 18:40

I know manda but they are now pernicious weeds! Every year I dig them all out, except clearly I don't so they start again next year! So much for crop rotation.

On a more JS note I'm beginning to realise the reason old gimmers like me can't get up-duffed is not because of faulty equipment. It's just that age means you'd rather be sleeping than shaggingHmm.

somethingwittynot · 22/05/2012 18:46

well the people buying the pram where utter time wasters so thats going back on ebay along with my tt breast pump.

we had a lovely shag in the park whilst DS was sleeping in his pram Grin

In the park? In broad day light? With dogs n runners n bugs n ducks and everything? Hats off to you, lady!!

Well jel of all this growing going on. DP is dabbling but I am useless! Hoping for a bit of strawberry smoothie action this yr, though. Yum.

Feeling shitty today. I can't help convincing myself it will be this month. It's sending me insane. Really. I was convinced i'd ov last week. Now today I get more Ewcm. I had a melt down- tears and everything as I am now worried that i am not ov at all or I might have PCOS. Even writing that down sounds daft when I have very little evidence to base this on- Esp as my supposed pant snot seems to have dried up now (nice).

I am annoyed with myself for getting so worked up about all this. Bad day Sad

Fraktal · 22/05/2012 20:41

One of the best shags of my life was in a park, in March at night so flipping freezing! Those were the days when we were shagging like something Wink Loving that phrase.

I'm so jealous of the allotment talk. I wanted our next house to have a garden but an amazing townhouse with courtyard came up... Next next time Grin and then I can grow things too, but you can keep your potatoes and tomatoes!

Rivergirly · 22/05/2012 20:45

argh is having a tough week this week soooo overdue my ERTD now - not that i wish it upon myself - but know I am not pg and still no ERTD - just wanna it over with now so we can get back to jsing!!! :(

Feeling really bloated and uncomfortable - just get it over with please - the joys of coming off the pill again - only been a month and the last time I came off the pill it took forever for my cycle to sort itself out!!!

babylann · 22/05/2012 20:46

Can't do public sex :( Conditions need to be quite perfect for me to enjoy JSing, I would get no pleasure if I had even a tiny worry in my mind and being caught and arrested would be a massive one!

OP posts:
Rivergirly · 22/05/2012 20:52

lol I would be the same - too worried about being caught to actually enjoy it!!! lol!

somethingwittynot · 22/05/2012 21:18

oh yes we did! with football players and dog walkers! Grin eeee im so excited going horse riding on friday for the first time since my BFP!

babylann · 22/05/2012 21:30

Hmm... CD18 but twice today I've felt crampy and periody... Not good!

Pinkie29 · 22/05/2012 21:31

Haha brilliant! my best outdoor shag was in a field after a night out, we nipped in then it started pouring down with rain thunder and lightening Grin

Okay, so we christened the shed down the allotment about half an hour ago! Hilarious! Not the most comfortable shag of my life but we did it, wayhey! Not quite as risky as in the park in broad daylight, but still for us old-timers not bad at all! hehe! :)

StuckInTheFensAwayFromHome · 22/05/2012 22:11

Well a quick hello... V happy to read about some bfp's on the thread...
I've been sticking to my plan of every other day for JS and I think I'm coming up to the right time to up it to every day!!!! So I too will be trying to 'shag like something'!!!
(oh and on the topic of public/outdoor sex I'm for it! Adds a naughty thrill!!!)

AWomanCalledHorse · 22/05/2012 22:46

We can't do any public shagging, DH would never risk his job for a bunk up even with the bunkalious moi
mandasand, shed sex!! Yay!

lolly and river, hope you both feel better soon x

Guinea, ooh! Do you think you're likely to stop at 3? I would love to have a Duggard sized family (reality tv show family with 19 kids) but I don't think we can afford it!
I'm sure your OH won't mind extra sex!!

baby good luck eBaying! I sold loads last year then gave up because I'm far too lazy to trek to Post Office!

something, boo to your eBay timewasters. I think I'm going to give all the unwanted baby stuff to the local Womans Refuge.

A question to everyone; how different is the number of kids you're likely to realistically have compared to your dream if money/career/age/health/etc was no object?

chocolatehippy · 22/05/2012 23:23

Manda yes do try it out! Thanks for the warm welcome ladies! And wow on all the allotment treats. We currently have coriander, chillies, basil, eggplant, passion fruit and spring onion going in our little veg patch.

woman i'm one of 4, as is my husband so have always dreamt of having the same number of kids as i just LOVE being part of a big family but realistically it may just work out as 2 or 3. We're TTC#1 right now. I think i would probably try soon after #1 comes along and then take a break.
