Confused by all the TTC talk? OPKs? Taking your temperature?! Then this is the thread for you! We want babies the good old-fashioned way - through drunken, spontaneous shagging at any time of the month . All you need is a man, , ramekins and a batch of cheapo pregnancy sticks, and you're good to go! (Shag-capes and actual Sex optional)

The group is so successful that you can see the results for yourself in our graduates thread full of mamas who JSed their way to motherhood. Getting a BFP within a few weeks is known as "doing a kitten", and due to the secret and magical powers of the Just Shagging thread, this happens from time to time.

We have our own TTC language - EWCM is now known as "pant snot", AF is now "ERTD" (Evil red tide of DOOM!), OV is ovulation, and of course, JSing is Just Shagging!

Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex

Hmmm, I think ERTD may have snuck up on me without me even noticing (how very careless of me ) Unless this is the small amount of bleeding that you can get around the time ERTD is due when you are pg, it looks like I could be out this month.

DH was desperately holding out for a BFP this month as he has agreed we will only drink at weekends give up drinking if nothing happened this month. I think that is a measure of how desperately he wants to avoid the wank clinic :o

Not as sorry as DH will be frying!! at the moment it has stopped and was only a small amount of discharge. Ify ss are right I would not be due till the end of the week anyway so who knows, I have left DH to enjoy his potentially last beer in blissful ignorance :o

Hope its not ERTD top, you deserve a break! You really will be going to extreme lengths, are you sure you are ready to expose your dh to such hardship as givng up the booze, and then introduce wank clinic! (poor guy) How long have you been trying?

My DH has been saying May is a really nice time of year to have a baby and would be ideal, so that gives me ... 2months[?] for a BFP, no pressure then!!!

practicing DH and I have been TTC for around 3 years but very much in the JSing sense and a lot of the time circumstances made it impossible anyway. I went to GP a few months back after scaring myself silly with a box of OPK's and got a basic all clear, the next step being the wank clinic. Poor DH is so desperate not to pay a visit he will try anything first! In any case, his extreme relicness means that we have decided there will come a point where we will call a halt to proceedings (he does not want to unexpectedly become a father at 75!!) Before that though we want to ensure we have given it our best shot, if we do that and nothing happens then it was obviously not meant to be :(

Oh, and it definitely is ERTD (the bastard!)

so had some pains last night and had an emergancy scan. im not as far as i thought i was as there was no sac visable yet just the thickened lining of the womb. my pregnancy test is still positive and my womb lining is thick so thats both good signs. have another scan today.

A question for you all; My ERTD is due in 5-7days, I did an OVstick (DH bought a box of 30, figure I might as well use them!) earlier & got a positive for ovulating..is that a 'normal' cycle?

saw a teeny tini gestational sack!! about 4-5 weeks closer to 5. being re scanned on the 9th!

woman you can ovulate twice in a cycle you can get positive opks before ERTD comes but pregnancy can also give positive OPKs

Top, had no idea it had been such a long ol' slog for you, completely understand your plans now. Sorry to hear about ERTD, the bugger! Feeling a bit bad mentioning the hopeful short term time span for us, after 3 years, you wouldnt care when baby came. Well done for sticking with JS, alot of others would have gone onto more calculated methods by now, well done for remaining chilled!

Something, exciting news, and to think most women wait a whole 12 weeks for a scan, you have had 2 already! You are not still POAS surely?

JS remaining optimistic here, were going for EOD but have managed every day so far since Sunday Will see if DH is up for it can get it up again tonight.

Had the packers in yesterday so surviving on the bare minimum of stuff Still hoping for an Immaculate Conception and I'm probably the only one praying for ERTD! I keep worrying I've gone through early menopause whilst BFing :(

practicing and frak thanks for the awe!!! TBH the first couple of years was just no contraception and see what happened (or didn't!) To be fair, running a pub is not at all condusivebto a relaxed and healthy sex life, let alone TTC.
A quick skulk around on the fertility threads will show how fortunate we are, I have DS who as you know DH is in the process of adopting, and DH has 2 grown up children and grandchildren. So many people never get a fraction of this, I can only be grateful for what we do have, rather than what we have not managed to have.

So once ERTD is over, we will cut the drink right back and perhaps even try charting or similar. We are yet to decided on a te scale but once we do that will most likely be it, the constant pressure every month is becoming very hard to continue and I firmly believe that what will be will be ( just hope it gets a bloody move on!)
Off to wash and iron my shag cape so it is in tip top condition for the next round :o
