Confused by all the TTC talk? OPKs? Taking your temperature?! Then this is the thread for you! We want babies the good old-fashioned way - through drunken, spontaneous shagging at any time of the month Grin. All you need is a man, Wine, ramekins and a batch of cheapo pregnancy sticks, and you're good to go! (Shag-capes and actual Sex optional)

The group is so successful that you can see the results for yourself in our graduates thread full of mamas who JSed their way to motherhood. Getting a BFP within a few weeks is known as "doing a kitten", and due to the secret and magical powers of the Just Shagging thread, this happens from time to time.

We have our own TTC language - EWCM is now known as "pant snot", AF is now "ERTD" (Evil red tide of DOOM!), OV is ovulation, and of course, JSing is Just Shagging!

Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex Wink

Old thread is here if you want proof it works!

Congrats something!

And congrats frying for joining Slimming World, hope it helps to loose the weight...although you do realise you'll loose it all & then get pregnant Grin
Sorry your MIL was late, my mother is useless when it comes to time keeping, if she says she'll be here at 12 what she means is around 3-4. I feckkin hate it & have fallen out with her over it.
we didn't js last night either, apparently 'working' is tiring so we're probably not going to do it until Monday (DH has a long weekend at work)...I know it takes only once to get pg, but sometimes I feel like everything is working against us!

south, it feels like it was, I take tranexmic acid for heavy flow ERTD so have no idea (the pills stop/slow the blood flow! yay!).

AWomanCalledHorse · 15/06/2012 10:49

*lose not loose! Blardy idiot!

livismum · 15/06/2012 11:04

Congratulations something I've been lurking to pounce on any recruits for our antenatal thread! Can't link as I'm on my phone but it's called Shagged out Viroids volume 4!
It's still quite quiet so all you other ladies get shagging and hurry over please! Smile

southlundon · 15/06/2012 11:22

Hi again Livismum - hope all is well?

Frying I'm sure you'll do it. Just think of all that extra energy you'll have even losing a fifth of that :) I've done weightwatchers a few times but never SW it's all green and red food isn't it? I need to lose 2 stone but I keep thinking I'll hopefully get pg soon and then it won't matter even though I've not lost what I put on with DS

Woman I've never heard of that but then I've never been burdened with terrible ERTD like you have been. I take it it doesn't affect TTC?

Persuasion · 15/06/2012 11:41

Congrats something hope it works out this time. Good to see you too livi, I hope all is going well?

south I don't think it's odd at all, I feel like I know you all, even though you're all probably completely not what I expect in real life! And have my fingers crossed for you Smile

dysgu I also end up JSing much less in the 2nd half of thr month, we're going to try really hard this time to keep going, just in case we're petering out too early which makes it not really JSing at all but I'm ignoring that

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 11:46

Thanks everyone! Will come and check the thread out!

fryingpantoface · 15/06/2012 12:28

Hi south

it's not just green and red, there's one called extra easy which is what im doing. Means I can have my roast dinners without using any syns.

I have to admit that today isn't easy, ours still my first day! We get paid in two weeks so I can't throw myself into it. Also, my approved food delivery came today, with it was pringles, creme eggs, and frisps along with other stuff.

I'm trying to keep strong and I've written the syn value on each thing hoping that helps. You get 15 a day, so if I've got syns left tonight I will treat myself

Dysgu · 15/06/2012 13:03

I am off work and in bed ill although it seems it might stem from an allergic reaction - all blotchy, hot and cold and nauseous.

Still, it did give me the opportunity to ask the doctor about the likelihood of conceiving DC3 and she says there is no reason why not although to expect consultant care due to two previous prems. I argued against it last time as there is no reason my babies arrive early and taking extra time off and sitting around the hospital just makes my job even more stressful. Still, we will cross that bridge if/when we get to it.

So no JSing for us this week but I hope we got in enough in the first 2 weeks of my cycle. I don't think DP has made the link yet! Maybe we can pick up the JSing again this weekend if I am feeling better - it being father's day and all!

Congrats something although not sure I envy you having two quite so close in age but then, I too have blanked out most of the first year of both my DD's lives with the nappies, sick and all the tubes we started with! Hope it all goes well for you.

southlundon · 15/06/2012 14:18

Oh Dysgu that's rubbish - hope you feel better soon. Did the Dr have an idea what you could be allergic to? Have some Thanks and a Biscuit

Am trying to keep my mind off the fact that ERTD hasn't arrived. I really can't entertain the thought that ERTD won't come but I will PIAR tomorrow morning if it comes although I bet it will say BFN and then arrive just to spite me

(Gosh I do like to use the strikethrough thing a lot don't I?!)

southlundon · 15/06/2012 14:19

And Frying what do you mean by approved food delivery? Are you in the Forces or on Antartica or something? Grin

AWomanCalledHorse · 15/06/2012 14:47

south approved food, sells close to date/out of date food which is still good to eat for cheap prices.
I started taking the pills on the last ERTD I had before conceiving DS so they seem to be alright! although I have considered if it's worth going a month without them, will have to be when DH can get time off (ERTD is usually so bad I've never worked/gone to school a day of my ertd my entire life).

Dysgu, hope you're feeling better soon [tea].

frying, good luck! What we do is not buying junk with the food shop, if we want something we have to walk to the high street for it (a mile away).

The more I think about it, the more I'm glad I've not got a BFP yet (just because I think taking care of DS in the 1st trimester would be hard)...I would however like one this or next month!! Grin

StuckInTheFensAwayFromHome · 15/06/2012 14:59

oooh congratulations something you may have inspired me to up my JS'ing. We had a lovely sesh last night so technically today is a 'day off' but I'm feeling quite horny and might have to jump on DP when I get home!

'waves' at everyone else and shakes a shag cape at them Grin

Dysgu · 15/06/2012 15:18

This month would be a good one for me to get a BFP too - the due date would be the beginning of march so the baby would be unlikely to arrive in the wrong year and would be at least a small gap between birthdays for DD2 and DC3 (thinking-it-through-too-much emoticon).

I have a nut allergy - peanuts especially but also almonds and it may be something in a new shampoo I used although there is nothing obvious in the 'ingredients' of the shampoo but maybe one of the chemical names could be the problem! This is the first day I have had off work in years - I cannot remember the last day I had to take off.

horse thanks for the offer of tea but that would make me feel worse - I can't stand the stuff. I have ginger beer next to me to combat the nausea and I took paracetamol which seems to have helped my head a bit (I am usually much better with ibuprofen but fingers crossed this JSing may have been successful so...)

southlundon · 15/06/2012 15:41

Blimey Dysgu, shampoo can set you off? You poor thing.

Stuck I now have a picture of someone 'shaking a shag cape' in a funky 60s-type dance like 'shake your tail feathers' but flapping a cape out to one side while shimmying. Confused Grin

Woman that's horrendous. I can't imagine having to have 'that' conversation with new employers each time you change job :(

southlundon · 15/06/2012 15:43

Oh wow I've just looked at that approved food site. How have I never heard of this before?? This might have to replace my addiction for Lidl bargains Grin

fryingpantoface · 15/06/2012 15:59

It's a brilliant website. I caved and are pringles and jaffa cakes. Can't believe I fell off the wagon on day one! Spoke with my leader person who said not to beat myself up.

Still feel tight! I'm a boredom eater.

Still, DH has said we can js tonight, before his mate gets here at half six. So it'll be a quicky

ChildOfThe1980s · 15/06/2012 16:05

Big congrats something !

Thanks Woman I guess I have been PG before, so everything does seem to be in working order, though I am a fair amount older now.

south I am due on today I guess (CD33), but am going to hold off till ERTD comes, til Monday I think.

Does anyone else have boob-issues? I.e. do you get weird pains through the month that make you think you're PG? I've had sore and full-feeling boobs for two weeks, but they're fine and feel smaller again today. I guess my hormones are confused.

ChildOfThe1980s · 15/06/2012 16:07

Meant to say fx for your testing tomorrow south

something what CD were you when you POAS?

southlundon · 15/06/2012 16:12

Thanks Child (even though I don't know what 'fx' means)!

Frying - work out how many calories are burnt off in various JSing positions... I bet woman on top is the most!

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 16:13

Well based on my last cycle ERTD was due today but I had a faint positive on an Internet cheapy last. Night I tested on first response this morning and BFP and tested on superdrug this afternoon and BFP so for me I got my My BFP on CD 31

fryingpantoface · 15/06/2012 17:01

I hate being on top, keep thinking about his view, apparently its a good one, but if it cancels out the jaffa cakes I'll do it!

AWomanCalledHorse · 15/06/2012 17:24

Oh no Dysgu! , hope you feel better asap.

south, it's a great conversation to have! I've only ever had male managers/HR people so they accept it & try not to hear what I'm saying about 'womens problmes' Grin

Fingers crossed (FX south) for everyone testing soon. I'll see how I feel in a week or so, I remember my mum having monthly bleeds when she was pg with my youngest sister (so she fell off the chair when DR told her she was 4months pg!).

What does CD mean? Conception Domini? Cake Day? Mmm cake.

I think standing up would burn alot of calories....although with DH almost a foot taller than me it's not for us!

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 17:47

Mmmmmm cake! CD is cycle day if I iced when I thought I did I 13DPO =BFP for me

babyjames · 15/06/2012 18:48

Hello there,
Can I join this thread please? I have been lurking for a while now and reading all the posts. I have one DS who is 2 (27months) and DH has now agreed that we can have a second although he did say we should wait til after Christmas to try he is not complaining when we JS!

AWomanCalledHorse · 15/06/2012 19:37

Welcome babyjames!! Woohoo on your DH agreeing to try for another, how long have you felt 'ready' to try?

Thanks for explaining that something!
