Confused by all the TTC talk? OPKs? Taking your temperature?! Then this is the thread for you! We want babies the good old-fashioned way - through drunken, spontaneous shagging at any time of the month Grin. All you need is a man, Wine, ramekins and a batch of cheapo pregnancy sticks, and you're good to go! (Shag-capes and actual Sex optional)

The group is so successful that you can see the results for yourself in our graduates thread full of mamas who JSed their way to motherhood. Getting a BFP within a few weeks is known as "doing a kitten", and due to the secret and magical powers of the Just Shagging thread, this happens from time to time.

We have our own TTC language - EWCM is now known as "pant snot", AF is now "ERTD" (Evil red tide of DOOM!), OV is ovulation, and of course, JSing is Just Shagging!

Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex Wink

Old thread is here if you want proof it works!

Come join us!

Hello

Just checking in - been busy (half term!) but my ERTD finally arrived - bloody pill really messes my cycle up for ages - think I got to about 45 days before arrival!!! And the minute I realise it hasnt happened it seems to just wait until i have POAS before finally making an appearance - sooo frustrating but having been here before I knew I was defo not pg - 4 years trying for DS1!

But well done for all the BFP's since I last was on here - sooo exciting!!! :)

somethingwittynot · 11/06/2012 18:36

soooo tired would love to crawl into bed right now.....

southlundon · 11/06/2012 19:09

Something - go on then, have a nap! :)

I definitely think ERTD will be here tomorrow. I am in my normal day-before-ERtD utterly pissed off mood. Sky has just packed in halfway though the footy, DH is down in London for work and when I tried to tell him about the problem he kept saying he couldn't hear me, so I snapped and said why didn't he leave the bloody pub then so he could actually talk to me and say goodnight to DS.

And now I am starving but although there are lots of ingredients I the kitchen, there is nothing I can do quickly and just for one.

And I have to work again tonight.

Fucking fucky fuck fuck.

Hello everyone - we have been away for a week so I have about 5 pages of this thread to catch up on.

Here: there was lots of JSing whilst away (perhaps we have conceived DC3) in someone else's bed!)

AWomanCalledHorse · 11/06/2012 20:37

Dysgu! Welcome back...hurray for JS!

south, hope Sky came back on & ERTD comes & goes quickly...boo work!

River, hope your cycle is back to normal soon.

We've start to schedule JS (keep on putting it off as one or the other is tired)..hope it doesn't make it boring!

southlundon · 11/06/2012 20:44

No, Sky is officially buggered :(

Right, have been putting off work and sitting on the Internet (story of my life) so better go and do an hour or two then bed.

If you see me on here again tonight, you have my permission to shout at me to get working!

Persuasion · 11/06/2012 22:13

Hi guys. I'm been away for a few days recovering from my mini ERTD related breakdown [melodramatic smilie needed] and had about 5 pages to read! Congratulations on all the BFPs, very exciting!

Like a few of you we're also trying for every other day this month. I am DETERMINED not to get my hopes up. Strangely as each month goes by I seem to symptom spot less but be more gutted when ERTD arrives.

Still, this is the good part of the month so shag capes it is Grin

Stupid phone, didn't mean to send it twice!

somethingwittynot · 11/06/2012 22:17

i would of loved to go for a nap but DP s being a twunt and flounced into bed and one of has to look after DS and do the cooking and the cleaning and the tidying and washing and the drying and the ironing while someone else just sits on their fat arse all day or sleeps. twunt.

southlundon · 12/06/2012 09:39

Grr bloomin DP Something. Hope he's been more helpful this morning.

ERTD hasn't arrived but my insides feel like it's already started so it'll not be long I'm sure. I'm more annoyed than anything, not too upset. It doesn't help that I cycled DS to and from preschool this morning for the first time and I am so unfit it has made me feel sick! (You know when you get so out of breath you do feel like you're going to vom? Yes, that :( )

Right, back to work. I finished at 00:30 last night/this morning but it wouldn't have been so late of I hadn't have been faffing on MN in the day

topbannana · 12/06/2012 20:12

Well ladies, we are in the car on the way to France and I am beside myself with excitement :) My shag cape is carefully folded and stowed in my bag, I cannot wait!!
Keep up the JSing, no slacking while I away :o
Au revoir!

southlundon · 12/06/2012 20:22

Hawheehaw Top!! Where are you going to?

Have a fab time. And I double dare you to find out what the French equivalent of JSing is to tell us on your return!!

Bonnes vacances [baguette] Wine [smelly cheese]

southlundon · 12/06/2012 20:38

I should add that I think I've miscalculated when ERTD is due and it should be tomorrow not today. So another day of waiting :(

How's everyone's days been?

RIBS · 12/06/2012 20:51

Hello all.

Have had a good day now that the sun has finally shone here this aft. Have been absent for a few days, busy busy at work, weddings, drinking and jsing. Should (hopefully) know by the weekend if all the JSing has paid off as Im still at it just in case. You never know!! Shag cape is still flapping in the wind! Grin

flyingsprocket · 12/06/2012 20:55

Amazeballs news on all of the BFPs!! Congrats ladies.

ERTD has finished to day and tomorrow I shall see my OH for the first time since Monday 4th. My shag cape is ready to go and this month is gonna be our month!!

flyingsprocket · 12/06/2012 21:03

Anyone else on here spend quite alot of time apart from the DHs? I think frak mentioned she did and horse I think you both work shift work right?

We are both away with work several nights a month and even though I have no idea when I ovulate (although I now know the significance of pant snot!) it's frustrating knowing that we could be missing out on important shagging time because of our jobs :(

topbannana · 12/06/2012 21:06

south we are overnighting in the Loire then heading down to the Auvergne. And OH agrees we should go skinny dipping (while he still has his faculties about him!) I am sniggering as I type this :o

southlundon · 12/06/2012 21:24

Oh gosh, overnighting in the Loire. How I would love to be overnighting in the Loire right now!

Flying, my husband has just got back from travelling for work. He went on Sunday 5:30 and got back 20 mins ago, back out 6am on Thurs till late Friday. Last week he was away from Tues 5am till Friday night. It was horrible.

These two weeks aren't that normal but he's a self-employed consultant for a professional firm and the way the market is, he just can't turn down work when it's offered to him.

Luckily we haven't missed any vaguely potential OV dates (although I'm still not sure I've pinpointed them) but I can appreciate how frustrating it must be. It better not happen next month!

Practisingparent · 12/06/2012 21:59

CONGRATULATIONS Amaze/Dunne! Great stuff.

I have been due ERTD since last Friday, but refuse to test till this saturday morning! I cant help getting slightly excited tho.... trying to supress it!!! Its DH'S birthday friday, would be lovely present!

Please someone dash my hopes so its not a huge dissapointment when blob turns up tomorrow.Sad

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 12/06/2012 22:31

So just got back from Norway and come to catch up on all the gossip...and all the BFPs it seems! Congrats all, amazing news.

My ERTD arrived after 2 weeks of lateness. Was actually quite relieved. I knew I wasn't pg but was annoyed at the lack of ERTD and BFP. Not sure when I'll be ovulating so just going to JS EOD and wait and see. After first month of trying I feel slightly less stressed about the whole thi

Just catching up on a week's worth of TV. Cried from the beginning to the end of Desperate Housewives!

southlundon · 12/06/2012 22:45

Practising, if it's your Dh's birthday on Frosay, and that will be ERTD one week late, surely you'll have to do it on Friday instead of Saturday???!!!

Best of luck Grin

Guineapigs, bad luck :( I remember reading something by Zita West (if that's her name - the fertility expert) who said that so many people who came to her with fertility problems actually just weren't having good, regular sex and not hitting the right time.

So EOD is good (hurrah for acronyms).

Right, still working. Best get on.

Frakiosaurus · 13/06/2012 07:56

DH is military so absences are par for the course. Made knowing when DS was conceived easy though!

The French equivalent of JSing would be QBer Wink well that would be the literal translation. French TTC forums are even worse than nethuns for Baby Dancing equivalents.

Frakiosaurus · 13/06/2012 09:32

Is this a symptom?

Going to supermarket, filling trolley, bag up shopping, realise that you have forgotten wallet, chequebook etc and can't pay...

southlundon · 13/06/2012 10:01

It's a symptom of something Frak, but it might not be pregnancy Grin

I'm wondering how you know the French equivalent of JSing and actually, what it is in full?
