Confused by all the TTC talk? OPKs? Taking your temperature?! Then this is the thread for you! We want babies the good old-fashioned way - through drunken, spontaneous shagging at any time of the month . All you need is a man, , ramekins and a batch of cheapo pregnancy sticks, and you're good to go! (Shag-capes and actual Sex optional)

The group is so successful that you can see the results for yourself in our graduates thread full of mamas who JSed their way to motherhood. Getting a BFP within a few weeks is known as "doing a kitten", and due to the secret and magical powers of the Just Shagging thread, this happens from time to time.

We have our own TTC language - EWCM is now known as "pant snot", AF is now "ERTD" (Evil red tide of DOOM!), OV is ovulation, and of course, JSing is Just Shagging!

Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex

A friend of ours was letting DH cuddle her 6mo girl at church this morning. It almost broke my heart because he's amazing with babies and children and someone said to me 'ooh watch out South, DH is tying to tell you something!'. I felt like saying '*I AM TRYING MY BLOODY BEST THANK YOU VERY MUCH' but instead just said a quiet 'pleeeeeeaase' prayer...

south its so difficult isn't it? My biggest wobbly was when DH's grandson was born and I could not bear to see him holding the baby. I collapsed into a wailing mass and ended up not going- most unlike me I should point out

im kinda glade ive fallen out with SIL so i wont have to go and see a tiny newborn due next month. dont know what im going to do about the other baby thats due but thats not till novemeber hopefully ill be pregnant by then!

I'm sticking around for at least another month. ERTD has struck today - this was the first month where I thought there was a chance - made a real effort to JS every couple of days - although there was a damn gap while we stayed at my mums, so am hoping that was the reason rather than anything else.

Been having some lovely time with DP - feeling like we are in such a good place, and I know from the hug he gave me earlier today that I think he's as gutted as me that it's not happened. ALthough I guess that just puts me in the category of 'normally it takes a few months' but I would have loved to be able to do 'a kitten'.

So get this blasted ERTD out of the way and I'm on a shag mission. I do solemnly commit to jumping on DP every other day, making it feel fun and spontaneous so he doesn't twig, (we both get performance anxiety if there's any talk of babies before hand!) I think every day would be impossible to keep to and it might feel a bit too production line rather than fun...

So I have my mission, am donning the shag cape... Anyone else got a JS target for this month?

I'm just going for EOD!! And probably every day from now until I OV, then back to EOD in the 2WW.

I've just remember, unthread somewhere we started referring to JSing all the time (and in all manner of ways) as "doing it like something" I think, after our very own celeb-to-be Something!

If ERTD comes as expected on Tuesday, then next month I'll be trying for EOD but June is going to be very, very stressful for me work-wise so that may well not happen.

Stuck, so glad you & DP are on the same page! Good luck with your shag target, we're doing every other day too.
DH is working mad shifts over the olympics so I think July/Aug are no-no's for us...as we're probably not going to see him at all.

We had a nice JS yesterday morning and then today after I was all changed and made up etc for a birthday bash while DS was downstairs watching tv, waiting to leave. Naughty DH! He's gone to London for work tonight though and won't be back until late on Tuesday. Sob :(
