Confused by all the TTC talk? OPKs? Taking your temperature?! Then this is the thread for you! We want babies the good old-fashioned way - through drunken, spontaneous shagging at any time of the month Grin. All you need is a man, Wine, ramekins and a batch of cheapo pregnancy sticks, and you're good to go! (Shag-capes and actual Sex optional)

The group is so successful that you can see the results for yourself in our graduates thread full of mamas who JSed their way to motherhood. Getting a BFP within a few weeks is known as "doing a kitten", and due to the secret and magical powers of the Just Shagging thread, this happens from time to time.

We have our own TTC language - EWCM is now known as "pant snot", AF is now "ERTD" (Evil red tide of DOOM!), OV is ovulation, and of course, JSing is Just Shagging!

Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex Wink

Old thread is here if you want proof it works!

Oh thats nothing.. the other day i had for breakfast beans on toast with a poached egg, for lunch i had shepherds pie and chips (dinner size) then for dinner i had spaghetti carbonara.... in between that i had toast, a bag of crisps, a yummy foxes biscuit bar thing, an aero AND some fruit. and i woke up starving the next morning.
One of the reasons i was convinced i was pg... but like i said its still early days i know i tested early so i shouldn't be disheartened just yet.

alwyn · 09/06/2012 10:55

God help me if I get increased hunger as a pg symptom!! I won't be able to afford to feed me!!!

Pinkie29 · 09/06/2012 11:12

Amaze I was starving and shattered even before my positive and I've woken up at 05:30am everyday since!

somethingwittynot · 09/06/2012 11:16

amaze how early were you testing? with DS i was weeing loads and hungry. now im just hungry and shattered. probably due to DS Grin

AmazeballsSuperFandango · 09/06/2012 11:43

I'm only 9 dpo which is early so i'm not out of the running... i'm just being emotional.
I should stop listening to Damien rice really

somethingwittynot · 09/06/2012 14:04

yeah im sure i read on this thread you dont implant before day10? this is why i never test until im late

alwyn · 09/06/2012 14:26

2nd day of POAS and still no OV. Again, still not surprised as only CD9.

somethingwittynot · 09/06/2012 14:54

how long is your normal cycle? as ive been reading about opks but never used them you start using them depending on your cycle length

alwyn · 09/06/2012 14:57

I'm not sure. Been on pill for a while and been bang on 28 days all along. On that basis it would be CD11, but as this is first cycle off and I've been on some sort of contraception for the best part of the last 2 decades I'm just really testing as a research project Grin

somethingwittynot · 09/06/2012 15:00

yeah it might take you a few cycles to settle back down into full reprodictive swing. ive never been on contraception in my life so i have no clue Grin

southlundon · 09/06/2012 15:39

Well hellooooooooo everyone!!!

Sorry I've not been around for a week (bank hol and work have got in the way) - and so much has happened!

Welcome to the new ladies although all this talk about testing for surges etc makes me want to run away screaming and congrats to Pinkie. Really very sorry to hear about your early MC LH :(
Good luck Amaze - it really is too early to tell so I hope ERTD doesn't come your way.
And bye to Lolly too!

Not much to report on my side. ERTD is due on Tues and I have no reason to suspect it won't grace me with its presence. We did JS vaguely around OV time but who knows eh?!

Hope you all had fab Jubilee weekends too. We had two big parties (one in the village and it was sunny and one in our street when it rained but we still stayed out under giant umbrella things till 9pm singing karaoke Grin

And I just love phantom symptom spotting. Even though I know it leads to nowhere. It is just fun to dream!

somethingwittynot · 09/06/2012 16:17

standing under giant umbrells singing karaoke sound just my thing! Grin

alwyn · 09/06/2012 18:02

And mine something!!! And luckily for when I am pg I don't even need alcohol to get up there!

somethingwittynot · 09/06/2012 18:34

me neither!! im a loon Grin

well we had proper sitting from DS today! Grin

southlundon · 09/06/2012 18:46

Well done Something's DS! My DS is currently sitting next door in the dining room fake-crying because he doesn't want to eat his cottage pie. It's rather loud and is doing my head in but I'm more stubborn than he is so I'm sitting it out...!

Will definitely need some Wine tonight...!

alwyn · 09/06/2012 19:27

Well done something's DS!!!

And I remember that from last night south - we were over at a friend's to watch the football and have curry and her son was all "I want my Mummy" for about half an hour when he had already been put to bed. Menace.

southlundon · 09/06/2012 19:44

Alwyn you have all this to look forward to! Grin

To be fair, I'd never call DS a menace - he's an absolutely Lovely polite little boy but sometimes we have food battles (he's a right veg dodger) but I'm learning to disengage. Needless to say, I won tonight's battle

Something my DS starting sitting on 17th June 2009 at about 24 weeks. I can't remember the dates of his first steps, tooth or anything like that but I remember that one :)

alwyn · 09/06/2012 20:08

I call him a menace affectionately :)

He's just a normal nearly 3-year old boy! And I love him to bits!

My friend says I can have him for a bit - I always decline and say I'll practice on my own Grin

somethingwittynot · 09/06/2012 20:20

haha im a proud mummy Grin

Pinkie29 · 09/06/2012 23:08

Thank you south long time no see!

AmazeballsSuperFandango · 10/06/2012 06:11

ok...i think i might throw up with excitement

I can see where the line would be,
its not a line so much as a shadow but unless my eyes are playing tricks on me its there, very very very light... i think.
I shall try again tomorrow.

southlundon · 10/06/2012 07:53

Ooooh Amaze.....

AmazeballsSuperFandango · 10/06/2012 08:03

Ok so what do i do now.... i should probably get out of bed or ummmm.... ahhhhh

southlundon · 10/06/2012 08:09

Nah, stay in bed and enjoy the moment! Grin

somethingwittynot · 10/06/2012 08:36

if its a shadow more than a line it might be an evap. just keep testing. told you, you would be doing a kitten!
