Confused by all the TTC talk? OPKs? Taking your temperature?! Then this is the thread for you! We want babies the good old-fashioned way - through drunken, spontaneous shagging at any time of the month Grin. All you need is a man, Wine, ramekins and a batch of cheapo pregnancy sticks, and you're good to go! (Shag-capes and actual Sex optional)

The group is so successful that you can see the results for yourself in our graduates thread full of mamas who JSed their way to motherhood. Getting a BFP within a few weeks is known as "doing a kitten", and due to the secret and magical powers of the Just Shagging thread, this happens from time to time.

We have our own TTC language - EWCM is now known as "pant snot", AF is now "ERTD" (Evil red tide of DOOM!), OV is ovulation, and of course, JSing is Just Shagging!

Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex Wink

Old thread is here if you want proof it works!

Oh dear, Amaze, that's not good!

And thank you. :-)

It'll be a miracle if I get pregnant I'm so stressed about life, the universe and everything right now :-(

AmazeballsSuperFandango · 06/06/2012 22:48

I know how you feel apart from uni. do you know whats great for stress.....a good old shag. not a swi a good old snoggy pash shag Grin

Pinkie29 · 07/06/2012 08:04

Aww Nicola bless your mum, must be hard to see her go through that Sad

I'm still debating if I'm going to tell her today, might wait another week or two

NicolaHazel · 07/06/2012 08:13

You'll know if the time is right when you're with her. :-)

And it is, but I'm sheltered from it as I'm 170 miles away. It's difficult not having daily contact like I used to though. :-(

minervaitalica · 07/06/2012 11:48

Nicola - best wishes to your mum and your family. A GC may help her out of this, who knows!

Pinkie, I know what you mean: I had the same problem. I felt embarrassed so I started muttering nonsense... so she guessed Grin .

Anyway, today I went to a clinic to finish some tests my ob-gyn had asked me to do. This included a vaginal swab test. So the midwife inserted the speculum, got on with it, until my pelvic muscles decided to somehow "throw" the speculum out. It literally jumped out of me and landed a couple of meters away. Blush Midwife (bless) smiled and said "oh don't worry that happens etc etc" and got on with it. So those Kegel exercises actually work girls Grin

RIBS · 07/06/2012 13:16

Wow minerva Thats some talent! You ever thought about going on BGT with that trick??? Or taking it to Amsterdam at the very least. Grin

Congrats Pinkie I think I said it on the June thread but not sure so il say it on here anyway. I told my mum when I pg with DD and she said she knew. I just looked diff. Yeah sick as a bloody dog and bad tempered. Honestly, with the last failed pregnancy, I just didnt feel ill enough, it just didnt feel as real as I did with DD so I cannot wait to get my BFP and feel sick sick sick. I will not complain (much).

Sorry about your mum too nicola it must be worrying especially if your a bit of a distance away from her too.

I couldnt DTD last night, we had out neice staying with us. EWCM dried up last fri and boobs hurting now so I am out of the fertile time anyway, do you reckon? Will be js tonight anyway tho.

Pinkie29 · 07/06/2012 13:45

Thanks ribs (again possibly) Smile I don't see mum a great deal due to our work patterns so don't think she's know just by looking, I just look a bit tired and washed out atm, when does this 'glow' start?!

AmazeballsSuperFandango · 07/06/2012 13:48

ribs No harm in a bit of rumpy pumpy just for the fun of it and if it gives you a BFP then woo.

I feel rotten today im in worse form than i have been all week and so tired i could sleep for the rest of the week, im a spotty mess which i never am and i have a pain in my head to beat the band...

Minerva i think i may have seen that trick in thailand a few years ago :)

Oooh Amazeballs That sounds good to me. The shitter you feel the better IMO.

pinkie Im still waiting for my "glow" to start and DD is nearly 4 yrs old. My friend is 13 wks today and is far from glowing - she looks like death warmed up still. Im very Envy tho.

AmazeballsSuperFandango · 07/06/2012 14:26

Im just worried that im convincing myself into symptoms if you get me.

Like im only 8dpo now and i feel like a bag of crap

RIBS · 07/06/2012 14:43

I know, I did that a few months ago, its soul destroying and ERTD was late. At least if you feel crap and your up duffed theres a reason for it, not just that you feel crap!

Think im just a couple of days behind you. Think im around 6dpo, but not really sure, as not using opk.

Frakiosaurus · 07/06/2012 14:58

Congrats pinkie

Amaze this is why we do not symptom spot you can drive yourself crazy convincing yourself that you are and then ERTD shows up and destroys you. JSing is about the fun of it without the stress in theory

RIBS get that shag cape on!

AmazeballsSuperFandango · 07/06/2012 15:17

Well this is the first month i have symptom spotted as im feeling so odd. But then i think is it wedding stress or work stress or ummm just me being a crazy woman.

Dp did something very odd last night and this morning he rubbed my belly when saying good night and good morning... i have not shared my symptom spotting with him...

maybe i need a good old js to take my mind off it :)

RIBS · 07/06/2012 15:28

Gonna get it from the bottom of the cupboard and maybe a sexy pair of undies. Not usual white grey worn out work ones. Grin

AmazeballsSuperFandango · 07/06/2012 15:32

i tried sexy undies yesterday and had to remove them as they were trying to climb up my bum all day so he didnt get to see them on :(

NicolaHazel · 07/06/2012 18:02

I don't bother with sexy undies...don't stay on long enough to matter!

AmazeballsSuperFandango · 07/06/2012 18:26

I was going to tease him through the day but they were to far up my bottom to be sexy.

Would i be totally out of order to punch my bil in the face for his incessant clicking... its driving me MAD

lollypopsicle · 07/06/2012 19:10

Evil Red Tide of Doom ( full title necessary) is finally here. This cycle has taken forever. Glad it's behind me now. Decided to step things up a gear this month and try charting. So Won't be posting here much as I'll feel like a bit of an imposter. I'd love to be laid back enough not to symptom spot or care about when I ovulated, but I'm at the point where I need to feel like I'm taking some control.

So best of luck ladies, I'll be lurking to keep up on all your BFPs xx

Hi alwyn

Another first cycle TTCer :-)

Welcome!

AmazeballsSuperFandango · 07/06/2012 21:49

Welcome alwyn lets hope your stay is short but sweet.

alwyn · 08/06/2012 08:33

Thanks nicola and amazeballs - I hope it's short too!!

topbannana · 08/06/2012 09:57

Welcome Alwyn!

A slightly TMI character for you wise ladies.... When the proper pant snot arrives, does this mean you will/ are or have OV'd? I read somewhere that it is like that because it is easier for the sperm to travel through so presumably you have OV'd and the egg is trundling gently along the tube to its final (hopefully!) destination.

Whichever way, the possible MC last month has chucked everything out of line so I think I am OV'ing before holiday- dammit!! Angry

AWomanCalledHorse · 08/06/2012 10:02

Welcome Alwyn!

lolly, lurk away! Good luck with the charting, if it works you must share the secrets!

Amaze, I don't bother putting sexy underwear on until I know he's in the house & we're about to JS...too un-supportive otherwise! Grin

top, I haven't a clue! Hope you get back to normal soon.
