Confused by all the TTC talk? OPKs? Taking your temperature?! Then this is the thread for you! We want babies the good old-fashioned way - through drunken, spontaneous shagging at any time of the month Grin. All you need is a man, Wine, ramekins and a batch of cheapo pregnancy sticks, and you're good to go! (Shag-capes and actual Sex optional)

The group is so successful that you can see the results for yourself in our graduates thread full of mamas who JSed their way to motherhood. Getting a BFP within a few weeks is known as "doing a kitten", and due to the secret and magical powers of the Just Shagging thread, this happens from time to time.

We have our own TTC language - EWCM is now known as "pant snot", AF is now "ERTD" (Evil red tide of DOOM!), OV is ovulation, and of course, JSing is Just Shagging!

Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex Wink

Old thread is here if you want proof it works!

Come join us!

Kittenkatzen · 06/06/2012 08:00

Wow pinkie you're up early! Any developments? Fingers crosses you're able to relax a bit soon....maybe even start to enjoy it?! Smile

horse we must have the same evil sense of humour - i'd have said no just for a laugh too Grin

Pinkie29 · 06/06/2012 08:08

I couldn't sleep kitten! Well tested again at half 7 two Internet cheapies gave a good positive result and cb digital says Pregnant 2 - 3 weeks Grin got butterflies when I saw the words! Going to ring the doc later and find out what the next step is Smile

Persuasion · 06/06/2012 08:51

Congratulations pinkie you have to believe it now!

Well ERTD got me properly today, and I have raging PMS so am feeling really grumpy but Angry not Sad today! Damned hormones. Anyway, today is CD1 of cycle 4, onwards and upwards Smile On the plus side I didn't waste any money on sticks this month.

Pinkie29 · 06/06/2012 09:34

Thanks Persuasion Smile I've just rang the surgery so on the midwifes call list today! Sorry the ertd got you!!

I left the test on the bathroom shelf for dp to see when he got up he came bounding in 'does this mean we're pregnant?!?!' obviously had to spell it out for him to believe it haha

BabylannShallFall · 06/06/2012 09:38

Congratulations!

Kittenkatzen · 06/06/2012 09:45

Awww bless your DH pinkie :) have you decided if you're going to tell anyone yet?

BabylannShallFall · 06/06/2012 10:18

Shagged Out thread is here for you when you're ready, Pinkie.

Recruiting for the cause as it's quite quiet over there!

Pinkie29 · 06/06/2012 10:26

Kitten - not yet think well keep it to ourselves for a few weeks then tell immediate family won't tell most till we've had our 1st scan.

Baby I'm not sure if I'm going to join a pregnancy thread thanks tho, I just think it might give me more to worry about if that makes sense? I'm sure I'll feel better once it's all sunk in properly Smile

minervaitalica · 06/06/2012 10:26

LH, sorry to hear your story... I hope as a group we can help you get back that smile (and back in the running Grin )

Pinkie - congrats! I suppose I should get myself a digital clearblue. Is it really worth it? Last time I just got cheapos, and only tested once or twice when I was reasonably sure of the outcome (I had some mild implantation bleeding, and really really painful piles which made it difficult to walk. That's how I knew first time. Romantic stuff eh?).

YOu know what though? Although the chances of pregnancy are zilch for me this month (I am already getting the spots I get pre AF), I m getting pregnancy symptoms just reading this thread! I swear I had flutters in my tummy right now. Repeats ad infinitum: will not test, will not test ...

BabylannShallFall · 06/06/2012 10:31

Sure, that's completely up to you! Just really struggled to find the link when I went looking for it, so thought I'd pop back and share it if anyone else got a BFP. :)

Pinkie29 · 06/06/2012 10:32

Minerva is af due? I only done the cb test because I'd already done an Internet one and got a +

Cb was £10.99 for two in boots

somethingwittynot · 06/06/2012 11:11

ive got internet cheapies and superdrug and FRER in the cupboard!

minervaitalica · 06/06/2012 12:46

yes, AF due saturday (ish). On my sister's wedding day unfortunately so I will look all bloated in the pictures. Darn.

I tend not to buy tests unless I actually "need" them otherwise I would test too early, get disappointed blah blah blah. I think it's going to become harder to abstain from testing as times goes by though...

Pinkie29 · 06/06/2012 13:41

This is the first month is bought a load, got a bfn 10dpo very faint positive 12dpo good positive and cb digital confirmation today Smile fx for you!!

AmazeballsSuperFandango · 06/06/2012 17:42

is 7 days dpo to early to test?

Pinkie29 · 06/06/2012 18:34

It's almost certain you'd get a bfn that early as apparently don't implant until after day 10? I got bfn day 10 and faint + day 12

SunshineandChoccy · 06/06/2012 18:47

Wahooo for pinkie so pleased to hear of another BFP on the thread Smile

LH I'm sorry to hear of your loss, stick with us and everything will be fine. Also men can sometimes have a hard time expressing their emotions which comes across as unsupportive even though I'm sure it's not the case.

ERTD got me on Monday so I feel a little down and as if I will never get a chance to realise my dreams!!! On a positive note though since I tried not talking about OVing the OH has been more keen to JS

How is everyone doing?

Oh yes south hope the hoovering is sending you on a high Grin

Practisingparent · 06/06/2012 21:49

Hi all.
Congrats Pinkie, thats fantastic! This thread is starting to get lucky...
Have just come off a very busy jubilee weekend. Had my sister and 2 kids to stay, and it was chaotic! Has actually made me rethink Having No2. Still JS but we are remaining pretty laid back about it. Have no idea when I OV and think Im a week away from ERTD, but not sure (not regular at the moment). Im fine either way this month.

Good luck Amazeballs.
Sorry Persuasion. Sad

Practisingparent · 06/06/2012 21:58

Also sorry Sunshine, but glad JS is looking up, keep going!

Pinkie29 · 06/06/2012 21:59

Thanks sunshine and practising Smile thinking I might have to tell mother tomorrow Hmm how does one go about it? Why am I scared to tell my mum I'm pregnant at 30?!

NicolaHazel · 06/06/2012 22:03

Awww...Pinkie, I think it's probably to do with feeling responsible for the life that will be a grandchild! And that you're confirming to your mum that you ARE having sex, ha ha!

Y'know..,.I think I need to start one of these threads next time, as there appears to be some sort of correlation between up-duffness and thread-starting!

Pinkie29 · 06/06/2012 22:15

Nicola I think that's it, she'll know I've had sex at least once haha! She'll be over the moon grandparents twice in less than a year but feel so nervous telling them! Hope my dad is at work then she can break it to him when he gets in Smile

NicolaHazel · 06/06/2012 22:32

I won't be able to tell mine at all if it happens...not til it's 'safe', anyway. My mum had a nervous breakdown a month or so ago and topics of conversation are limited right now.

I also wouldn't want to worry her until I'm well along the way, as if the worst happened I'm not sure she could cope at present.

AmazeballsSuperFandango · 06/06/2012 22:37

Oh im sorry about your mum Nicola
Im sure when you do tell her (when it happens)she will be delighted.

I wont be telling mine as she is a cow Grin
