Confused by all the TTC talk? OPKs? Taking your temperature?! Then this is the thread for you! We want babies the good old-fashioned way - through drunken, spontaneous shagging at any time of the month Grin. All you need is a man, Wine, ramekins and a batch of cheapo pregnancy sticks, and you're good to go! (Shag-capes and actual Sex optional)

The group is so successful that you can see the results for yourself in our graduates thread full of mamas who JSed their way to motherhood. Getting a BFP within a few weeks is known as "doing a kitten", and due to the secret and magical powers of the Just Shagging thread, this happens from time to time.

We have our own TTC language - EWCM is now known as "pant snot", AF is now "ERTD" (Evil red tide of DOOM!), OV is ovulation, and of course, JSing is Just Shagging!

Viroids is our name of choice, the reason is long since lost in the annals of time. If you really feel the need to take a test, Gu Ramekins are what all the classy birds are using. And of course, drinking is essential. Sometimes, we even remember to have sex Wink

Old thread is here if you want proof it works!

Welcome WhiteAS, hope coil extraction wasn't too painful!

SunshineandChoccy · 30/05/2012 21:44

Waves at whiteankle join in the fun

It just dawned on me that this current thread was started by babylan Grin......bows down and chants oh hail to babylan and also congratulations on the BFP fingers crossed the test lines become darker

Oh dear oh dear south how much more writing do you have left??

Frakiosaurus · 30/05/2012 21:57

Congrats baby

If I lie naked on the bathroom floor with hairdye until DH gets home I'll be there a long time. And might scare the nanny, who is usually the one who helps me due my hair Wink

AWomanCalledHorse · 30/05/2012 21:58

frak, you made me wake DS up! Grin

My DH is home in about 30mins so I suppose I should go lie on the floor now....

babylann · 30/05/2012 22:03

Sex on the bathroom floor wasn't something we usually do either! But DP suggested it and I was almost naked anyway, it was bloody boiling hot so I was just in my underwear... Just threw down a towel and got on with it!

Tell me how it goes Grin

Persuasion · 30/05/2012 22:19

Welcome white

Congratulations babylann!!! Thread starting clearly is lucky. Our bathroom is tiny, so I'm not sure we'd fit on the floor to JS! Do you think being half in the bathroom would work? The problem then is how to shut out the cat, DH gets performance anxiety if anyone is watching Grin

Practisingparent · 30/05/2012 22:20

Congrats Babylann, any symptoms we can all start spotting madly? Wondering whether its worth me prostrating myself on cold bathroom floor, is it a good look?

I think i may have ovulated in the last few days, so probably no point now, however in the spirit of JS may settle for the bed!

Welcome whiteankle and amazeballs. it seems like a lucky thread!

lollypopsicle · 30/05/2012 22:32

frak I understand your dilemma- my mum usually helps me dye my hair. Not conducive to a good shag sesh Blush I'm doomed! Grin

Welcome newbies.

Waiting for ERTD to arrive. No sign yet but not getting excited until at least Monday. Don't feel very lucky this month.

On the plus side, got a week and a half off now. Girl's night out and maximo park gig next week. All good Smile

babylann · 30/05/2012 22:36

Symptoms I have spotted so far are "pregnancy cramps", painful boobs, tiredness, crying at someone going home on The Voice and just a "feeling" Wink

They're probably mostly in my head. I've felt nauseous ever since I found out too, but I think that's just shock!

OP posts:
lollypopsicle · 30/05/2012 22:44

Based on those symptoms, reckon I'm def preggo too! Oh how I wish it was that easy!
I'm sure they're not in your head baby as you have a BFP to prove it. I, on the other hand, have no such excuse Confused

somethingwittynot · 30/05/2012 23:40

waiting in a&e with DS could be a loooong night

babylann · 31/05/2012 00:24

Hope he's okay?

thankyou hes sleeping lots but he obviously needs that to get better. a feeding frip might be starting soon as hes not intrested in food

minervaitalica · 31/05/2012 09:52

Congrats Babylann! The thread obviously works Grin . We need baby dust from you now. I never had a strong line in my pregnancy tests with DD though, but she is still here!

I went to my ob-gyn yesterday to have a full MOT before we get serious about this (DH away 5 nights a week at the mo so chances are on the slim side) - and had a good chat about everything, age, risk of prematurity (DD was very early). She gave me the all clear on the basis of what she could see(ultrasound) but I am also having a whole load of routine tests to ensure there is nothing off kilter. Given that DD was a bit of a surprise last time, all this planning feels very grown up (I am ancient BTW); I suppose it's a way to burn some time before we move back in together and get going.

babylann · 31/05/2012 10:13

I've done another two tests today Grin Don't think it had quite sunk in!

So, I guess I should depart soon. Where do I find ze graduates again?

OP posts:
southlundon · 31/05/2012 10:24

I think you should post a photo of a BFP Babylann so that we all know what we're aiming for!

Grin
RIBS · 31/05/2012 10:24

Oh my Goodness something You must be worried to bits, poor little guy. He's obv in the right place and will be soon back to normal, no doubt pulling your hair and keeping you awake all night, after all the slppe he's had. Im thinking of you. [hugs]

Glad you've god the all clear to commence jsing min I know what you mean about the feeling grown up. Im 35 whispers nearly 38 and dont feel grown up at all at the best of times, I couldnt believe it when the hospital just let me walk shuffle out of the hospital with my new born. What were they thinking!!

No bathroom action for me last night, we were all nackered. I will be jsing tonight. I think I might go for some kitchen action over the dog crate and get DP to lug me upside down to the lounge so I can watch tv with legs in the air for half an hour. Grin

I think i am or about to ov, if last months anything to go by. I caved an did an ov test the other night, it was neg. Im glad too, I dont want to be checking the dates and stuff, im embarcing jsing. Had a bit of ewcm for the last few days, but also creamy and sticky bits. Ive basically got the full range. FFS!!

Welcome newbies.

AWomanCalledHorse · 31/05/2012 10:49
