StateofConfusion · 27/05/2012 19:44

Thinking of you goth ((huggs)) xx

JaffaSnaffle · 27/05/2012 20:29

Hi goth, I just wanted to say hello and welcome you to the thread. Now as Manda is busy fighting off the measle pox, I am going to put her vitamin hat on, and bang the drum for b vitamins.

Some people take them all the time, but I took them after my miscarriage in January, just for a few weeks. They are supposed to be very good at getting your cycle back on track, for improving your egg quality and for evening out your cycle, increasing your luteal phase. Do you chart at all or use ovulation predictor kits? I am not a charter, so would have to defer to others here, on that but just wondering how much you know about your cycle.

It is difficult to tell with all these things, but I did get pregnant after my miscarriage, back to back. How much was luck, the vitamins, or just my own fertility I will never know, but they were part of the picture for me. I stopped after my BFP, because they are megadose and I am a bit anxious generally. Manda would do a better job than me, and give you the research links, but thought I would mention them. You can get b50 or b100 at holland and Barrett.

Other than that, I just wanted to say I am very sorry for your loss. It is a bereavement, and completely normal for you to be down.

Happy birthday marbles!

State, I hope you are alright. Thinking if you.

tiago try not to worry about sneeze pain. I had a cough a few weeks ago, and if I didn't brace myself properly, it really tugged. I mentioned it to the MW, and she said it was ligaments, but she also said try to support yourself if you can, just hold your tummy.

I am doing pelvic floor exercises after a bit of stress incontinence Blush. With DD, I was unaware of my pelvic floor, but now I know what I am missing. Had a few 'was that the baby?', moments, but still not sure about kicks. Have scan on Tues, which I want to be over. I am hugely relieved after heartbeat on Thurs, but still have niggling doubts.

Hello to all who I haven't name checked! X

JaffaSnaffle · 27/05/2012 20:31

PS, we need a new thread.

MarthasHarbour · 27/05/2012 21:12

MissC i just read my MIL reply and i apologise as i did sound a bit smug there in comparison to your crappy run-ins Blush

jaffa that post could have been from the good old bird manda herself! (she will kill me for calling her an 'old bird' but she has other things on her mind so i think i got away with it Wink) but i think that would be good advice for goth to consider, even just for a couple of months Hmm

marbles it is your 30th tomorrow?! Well if that aint an excuse for a celebration then what is?!

Right this is a big party so you will all have to help out with the food, blue is the usual culinary queen but she is indisposed at the moment in-the pub looking after the gorg Maxwell

MarthasHarbour · 27/05/2012 21:12

Any of the TTCers care to start a new thread?

StateofConfusion · 27/05/2012 21:18

I'm ok, nothing to actually cause 'real' concern just my impending scan on wednesday, I feel like I've 3 days until this pregnancy is over iyswim.

martha I make mean cupcakes and have jubilee cases and decorations ready, ill run up a few hundred for the metallers jubilee :)

kirrinIsland · 27/05/2012 21:31

GPB congratulations on your scan, fab news :)

Jaffa I've had a bit of the same problem Blush but I'm lousy at remembering to do the exercises. I also got away with it with DD.

state thinking of you xx

goth it took me a good while to come to terms with my first loss - it does take time. I also went back to work soon after, as I felt that it was best to keep busy. I think it was the best thing for me.

MumTumWanted · 28/05/2012 06:59

Morning all

Congrats to blue and baby maxwell so delighted for you both xxxxx well done blue 3 days eeeek!

Boris thinking if u Hun xxx

State have everything crossed for u all will be fine

Martha yay for extra scans and great mw

Yikes hang in there xx

Sorry for not name checking others will catch up I promise Blush

Have been kept extremely busy all weekend by well meaning dh and mum and by dd to so that's really helped. Obviously though the ga drugs have finally worn off as sleep is again eluding me in place of feelings of overwhelming sadness at no longer being preggo and metalling intensely with certainty that our karotyping test results are going to be bad and I will never have another child Sad
And in another punch whilst I'm down gp office phoned Friday ( a mere 4 hours after I had been there in the morning and they gave me an appointment to see the rmc specialist in 6 weeks time) I get a phone call with dd in earshot so I couldn't say much back informing me

We have cancelled your rmc appointment as it was just a general gynae appt and u need to see the specialist they will be in contact in due course but if u havent heard in a weeks time let ys knowAngryAngryAngry

Now if this was the case fair enough I'd be pleased they spotted the error and eternally grateful u didn't wait the six weeks attend the appointment only to find I have to wait another six weeks don't hAve time for this I'm 34 desperate to ttc again and want to start ASaP but what's made me angry is all the paperwork I had for the appointment clearly said rmc clinic with the consultant named as the specialist I know us the rmc and early preg guru in my area!!!! AngryAngryAngry as i couldn't question any detail as dd was listening i just had to mumble ok and replace the phone whilst steaming......My plan of action is to do the school run this morning dd is 12 but live in rural area and public transport is about once a month! and be on the phone questioning WTH is happening as soon as they open the phone lines ..... Wish me luck ladies gps reception have a reputation for a reason ......

Congrats to all the others with fab news I didn't name check and s I'm not actively ttc will leave the new thread to a braver lady than I another ttc this time xxxxx

leedy · 28/05/2012 09:44

Congrats blue! And now off for another *$!# blood pressure check...

MarathonMama · 28/05/2012 10:25

Hello ladies! I thought I'd have a little lurk for old time's sake and I see that there's loads of really exciting news.

Blue Massive, massive congrats on the birth of Maxwell, hooray! Hope all is going well?

Manda Huge congrats to you too, a lovely sleepy DS, so cool Grin Hope everyone recovers from the lurgy soon though.

Last but not least I'm sooooo excited I can barely speak... Martha/ Summer, you champ! Your news has made my day. About bloody time too Grin Congratulations lady!

All is well with me, DD2 is 10 weeks now and doing really well. She's so chilled compared with DD1 when she was a baby. DD1 not so sure though, keeps trying to pull DD2's limbs off so can't leave them in a room together. It sounds funny but it's actually quite scary.

Anyone heard from MissGiraffe or IQ recently?

Right, I'll leave you all to it, was quite emotional reading the thread again, it was such a source of support for me through such a difficult time. Good luck to everyone and enjoy the sunshine Smile

PieMistress · 28/05/2012 11:16

Hi marathon

So 2 girls and 2 boys so far graduating! I was also wondering about missg, eve34 and baby, I hope they are ok. I think they are all due about now if I remember rightly?

I wonder if there should be a grads thread on from this one? There are quite a few buns in the oven due from the metallers!

Great to hear from you, stay in touch!

x

gothinrecovery · 28/05/2012 13:15

Hi,

Thanks for the advice re the B vitamins. I'm already taking some pre-conception multivitamins. Not temping as it all got too much of a faff. I have used OPKs before but tbh I pretty much know when I ovulate anyway - have a pretty much clockwork cycle.

Back at work but just feel so down, can't help feeling this was my last chance. :(

MarthasHarbour · 28/05/2012 13:16

marathon! mwah mwah how ARE you? have you had your LO yet? I am 6 weeks now and still a bit perplexed Hmm about it all, i keep thinking it is all going to go pear shaped any minute - then i get excited again!!

and mumtum i have 'foot in mouth' disease again i see, with my post about the TTCer's starting a new thread. I will nip off and start one.

MarthasHarbour · 28/05/2012 13:21
