mumtum, that sounds like a less than pleasant experience but at least it's over now - hoping you make a swift recovery and get lots of looking-after.

Also v exciting for blue!

JaffaSnaffle · 24/05/2012 12:25

Go Blue! Fabulous news!

Hope scans go well today for yikes and gpb.

Having huge metal before MW appointment and have convinced myself that there will be no heartbeat. I just feel like this is some sort of threshold that I won't get past.

YikesHereWeGo · 24/05/2012 12:28

mumtum - sorry about the hideous hospital-day yesterday, things can only get better from here though, wishing you lots of tlc.
good luck indeed blue - can't wait to hear all the gory details very soon.
goth - good to meet you, you're definitely in perfect company. and thank you for asking about 'WTF' - I only knew the sweary version before you asked.
pebs - us lot have to get good at "happy smiley faces" whilst thinking slightly less benevolent thoughts Wink, unless of course they are for others on this thread in which case we are genuinely happy!! (Am I allowed to say that?!)
manda - wow, time does indeed fly! I can't quite believe it's been a week already.
I've just got back from hospital, it was all fairly straightforward, I got my piece of paper with "complete miscarriage" on it, and surprised all the hospital staff by looking really pleased with myself. I think they thought I was on drugs.
I casually asked when I could try again and got the "wait for AF" response, but when I again casually asked "but what if I got preggo straight away" the mw said it wouldn't really matter and I should just go for it if I wanted to. I then spoke to another mw who gave me a stern look, said I should defo wait for AF and told me to be very careful on honeymoon. AS IF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So am officially on the WTF cycle and going to be as naughty as possible this month and see what happens. Wink Blush

YikesHereWeGo · 24/05/2012 12:29

BlueCrane · 24/05/2012 13:33

Frustratingly still at home...things slowed right up to a stop probably because I had to lie down and have a nap due to lack of sleep last night but have done the ironing and am back to bouncing on my ball and hoping they'll pick back up again, at every 7min at the moment! Very much just want to get on with this now!

manda so sorry about the measles outbreak...what a nightmare in this heat as well! Has DF escaped it? Can't believe it's a week since you were 'pushing' either!

Big bouncing wave to everyone else...sorry for not doing a full name check!

JaffaSnaffle · 24/05/2012 16:08

Hurray! Hurray! There was a heartbeat! I'm 16 weeks with a baby with a heartbeat! And I know she is a girl, with no chromosome problems! We are sitting in the garden having celebratory ice creams.

blue, this is a hot day for a labour. Thinking of you x

So sorry to hear about measles Manda. c

PieMistress · 24/05/2012 16:25

That's brilliant news jaffa go your baby girl!!

Hope you're doing oksy blue

I'm not doing very well with a bump in this heat, am having to wear flip flops in the office as my ankles and feet are really swollen!

Had a consultant appt on Tues and was given a date for my CS - only 4 weeks away!! As DS got stuck and they couldn't get him out with forceps they are happy to give me an elective this time (especially as baby is measuring bigger than DS).

When is your MW appt martha?

Hope life in the manda household isn't too measles ridden? xx

Love to all, Pie x

BlueCrane · 24/05/2012 17:02

jaffa fab news Grin so pleased for you!

pebs feel for you at work with bump in this heat...not fun!

Then again i must say contractions aren't the best either in this heat! Just resorted to having some paracetamol as they're getting pretty strong now...think we'll be going in soon...

leedy · 24/05/2012 17:37

Awww, brilliant news Jaffa!!

StateofConfusion · 24/05/2012 18:11

Great news jaffa

Good luck blue

WhyAlwaysBoris · 24/05/2012 18:53

pebspop · 24/05/2012 18:56

Blue I will let you off this time as you are in labour! But it's pie at work with bump - not me. Wish it was!

Glad to hear your good news Jaffa!

Midgetm · 24/05/2012 20:22

go Blue go Blue go blue got everything crossed for a birth like shelling peas.

jaffa you are still pregnant. Hooray for lovely little heartbeats. If you are anything like me that could stop you metalling for at least a week.

BlueCrane · 24/05/2012 20:23

So sorry pebs that must've been so tough to read...really realy sorry!

Back again from the hospital Blush lots and lots of Ian and contractions but not even dilated at all yet...

Midgetm · 24/05/2012 20:54

Oh bugger Blue

JaffaSnaffle · 24/05/2012 21:06

Come on little baby bluecrane, and keep going blue ! II hope things gather speed for you, (without extra pain), and that you get to meet your little one soon. Have lots of ice cream xxx

Thank you for all your congratulations. I feel like I am breaking through my own barrier. The only time I got this far was with my DD. I told her about the baby today, and she asked whether they would be able to go and pick daisies with her.
I have been in two minds about whether to tell her, but she has been clambering all over me and gives a lot of rough love. In the balance, I hope it is for the best. She will be at quite a few MW appointments, and she is so switched on, I can't keep much from her. And she seemed quite pleased at being a big sister.

Munchin · 24/05/2012 21:25

Sorry ladies I don't post here that often but have been following your stories.

I just wanted to say I am delighted for you jaffa that all went well at your scan, it must be such a relief. So sorry Mumtum it really is an awful experience. Sorry to hear that you mc Yikes hopefully you get lucky soon. To all pg ladies and new mums wish yous well.

I suppose I am now in the WTF cycle but not ttc yet as on an antibiotic!!!

YikesHereWeGo · 24/05/2012 21:42

"she asked whether they would be able to go and pick daisies with her" - that is just sooooo adorable Jaffa! Love it!

Thanks Munchin - today's the start of ttc'ing again so a new page for me :)

kirrinIsland · 24/05/2012 22:47

Jaffa that's brilliant news, what a relief. And your DD's response was lovely :)

blue how very exciting - fx'd for a sneeze birth. Hope things get moving soon.

manda it's all sounds a bit stressful in your house at the mo, to say the least. Hope everyone is feeling better soon and you manage to get some sleep at some point.

I had a scan today - 16 weeks - as they need to check the head and spine due to my previous history. All looks well so far, which is a huge relief :) I was hoping they'd be able to tell me the sex but the baby wasn't staying still for a second - so she couldn't even take an educated guess!

Midgetm · 25/05/2012 06:41

Nice one kirrin

Manda hope things are better in the house of measles and the new born. I hope at least you are managing to get some rest in between the chaos,

TitsalinaBumSquash · 25/05/2012 08:05

Morning everyone Smile

Sorry for radio silence here, I'm lurking and keeping an eye on you all. Smile
Little bean appears to be still doing ok 15 weeks today.

Don't have time to name check (I'm running slightly an hour late!)

MumTumWanted · 25/05/2012 09:24
