Boris, I wrote a message for you last night, and have realised it has not posted. I hope everything is going ok for you, and that you are not having a lot of pain. I had 1-2 days of heavy bleeding, a few more of AF style bleeding, and then about a week of light bleeding. Then I had pink CM. I am thinking about you.

PieMistress · 26/05/2012 13:40

Congrats blueon the safe arrival of your wee boy maxwell !! Whoop GrinGrinGrin I hope you are able to get some rest now

Wonderful news blue welcome little baby Maxwell. You guys can definitely start the Graduates thread now surely with three six of you Grin

Cor fancy the metallers having a grads thread. Feel all proud inside and maybe I get to join it in a few months huzzah

Sorry to hear it's starting Boris but agree soonest mended. Keep us up with how you're feeling. I'm sorry I don't know how long early ones take as I'm prone to the later ones.

Glad it's over mumtum and you're recovering.

it's not too much to ask leedy it's one thing after another I know, the metalling never stops. Hang in there. FFS to the journo. I hope you emailed back and they had the decency to be Blush

Glad to hear about the early scan martha yay for being pregnant today and a tiny beany in the right place!

I know what you mean kirrin I feel like a bloody whale with fat bits where fat bits should not be. I have put on just short of a STONE and I'm only 25 weeks Blush I don't even know how it's possible except for all the sandwiches

confused fingers crossed for 15DPO!

Good news jaffa Grin

ConfusedMumDotCom · 26/05/2012 15:24

Congratulations blue, welcome to the world baby Maxwell.

MandaHugNKiss · 26/05/2012 15:36

Yaaaaaay, blue and hurrah for your little blue bundle maxwell house Brew Grin Hehe, actually, the first Maxwell that came to mind was the r'n'b singer of the 90s(?) - inspiration for the name? I actually put Max on the table for this bub but it was vito'd by DF. Hope you got through it all as intervention free as poss - would like to hear some details when you're up to it (or a link to elsewhere if you have posted it somewhere else!). Much love to you all, La Familia Blue

marff glad you got one of the good 'uns in your midwife, and yay for extra scans that are reassuring!

Not really got time for posting - House of Measles continues here in SW London, with alarming developments of temp of 40.3 for ds2 (had to use suppositories in the end to bring the temp down) and literally zero sleep last night as ds1 cried and called out all night from the intense itchiness of the rash (of which his is horrendous). Scaring myself with stories of encephalitis and other serious complications. Dr back out to us this morning with a prescription for a sedating antihitimine so DS1 sleeps right now. DS2 also itchy and slept maybe 2 hours last night. Ironically, the newborn still sleeping like a champ. O_o At some point soon we'll be through this my babymoon ruined and I can finally rest and get to know my beautiful stranger!

ps midge your incredible autocorrected post was tres amusing. weird sense of humour

MrsPear · 26/05/2012 17:20

Huge congrats to Blue on the birth of baby Maxwell - 3 days you poor lady!
Martha glad you got an early scan and all is well. DH wants us to have one as the NHS one isn't for another 4 weeks. Also i have had spotting although i am trying to bury my head about that as hospital/doctors don't want to know
jaffa congrats on the successful 16 week appointment
borris sorry that it has started; my normal mc lasted a week with a another week of panty liners
Oh mumtum i hope recovery is going as well as can be.
misscoffee i gave birth at 30 weeks and i had put on nearly THREE stone at that point - feel better?! Grin
Hi to everyone else i forgot.

MrsPear · 26/05/2012 17:20

Manda hope the kids get better soon - well done on even managing to post.

ConfusedMumDotCom · 26/05/2012 17:44

yikes blooming iPhone deleted the end of my post I forgot to say, no problem about laughing. Looking back through the thread it does seen very daft of me Grin I'm definitely waiting until I crack again Wednesday now. I've some lovely new white undies which should tempt AF out! Best of luck with the wedding, so exciting!

MarthasHarbour · 26/05/2012 22:04

blue congratulations!!! well done you for surviving this heat too, and welcome to the world little Maxwell (i LOVE that name!).

manda i am so sorry you are having to deal with a lurgy ridden house, and how Angry that DS1 and DS2 are keeping you up at night whilst the delightful DS3 is sleeping like, well like a baby! How is DD? Is she any better?

MrsPear i can honestly say i was taken aback when the MW phoned the EPU as i really thought she would advise that it is just breakthrough, but she really was lovely and quite pushy with the EPU when she phoned can you afford a private scan? they are around £75 in our area and we were intending to get one but wont now as i am having an 8 week one.

My parents still dont know yet, in fact no family have been told, we are seeing one set of the ILs next weekend so will tell them then, and seeing my parents a couple of weeks later. I want to get some serious moshing out of the way before we tell.

waves to missc you are 25 weeks Grin high five to you lady, you are nearly on the home straight now Smile

MarthasHarbour · 26/05/2012 22:06
MissCoffeeNWine · 26/05/2012 22:22

Home straight? Eek. Doesn't feel like it. Still feels very precarious. Maybe I m destined to metal to the end. Although I had a small freak out the other day when I checked in here and realised I can't metal about miscarriage any more because I'm too far on if the worst happened.......what a messed up head I must have! I'm wary of feeling safe I think, both my lost ones went just when I'd started to feel when I felt safe and relaxed....after the NT scan the first time and after the 16 week heartbeat appointment the second time. So no feeling safe again! Nope! Although I am now making arrangements to drop work and arrange cover for my clients and so on to give me some mat leave. I'm looking at going part time soon, then taking about six weeks off and going back part time after that. One of my contracts ends next week and I can't take another on so I'll be a part-timer next week whatever happens, feels a bit like mat leave already! LittleMissCoffee is engaged with learning kung fu and kicking the crap out of my insides on a daily basis - she's certainly a strong and spirited, energetic little thing and I'm ignoring the fact she already likes to stay up all night....

manda it sounds horrendous, you poor poor thing and all your DCs :( I really hope you have lots and lots of help, you sound utterly fabulous and cheery though, which is amazing, but make sure you rest as well!

mrspear well I suppose, I don't know Blush It feels like a lot as I had put 13lb on with DD by the time I was at 42 weeks. This time 25 weeks and 12lb, makes me wonder how much I have still to go! Still, it can all come off, right?
eats third kitkat

You're doing a great job rocking those cribs martha you're a natural. The hand that rocks the cradle moshes hardest eh? Good luck with the in laws. ARe they the type to go ga-ga over baby announcements and remain resolutely CERTAIN that it'll be ok even in the face of caution (like mine who think of MC as something that happens to 'other' defective people i.e me as none of their blood as EVER had one) or the type for quiet congratulations and a sensible head?

Sorry I've been having some right run ins with the ILs recently, my SIL and MIL specifically and been a bit stressed about them (even dreamt about them last night, urgh)

NoMoreMarbles · 27/05/2012 00:14

Congrats to blue!!Grin excellent news!!!GrinGrin

MrsPear · 27/05/2012 08:18

Morning! I think i am going to talk to DH about getting a private scan as he offered.

misscoffee yes all the weight did come off although i was lazy about it (took 2 years!) but when i saw the doctor about this pregnancy she said i was 9 6 which is fine for 5ft 6"

Anyway no bleeding, i am sooo tired and feel sick and achy - good right Confused

kirrinIsland · 27/05/2012 09:21

misscoffee I've put on about 7lbs and I'm 16 weeks. With DD I put on nothing til about 24 weeks and had only put on just over a stone by the end. I'm not too far off doing that already. I know I need to stop eating but I just can't seem to stop myself Blush

mrspear my private scans kept me sane in the early weeks. Tired, sick and achy sounds good to me!

Boris and mumtum hope you are both doing ok.

Tiago · 27/05/2012 09:47

Hey ladies and CONGRATULATIONS BLUE. So good to hear Maxwell arrived safely - though three days Shock eeep!

I am coming up to 17 weeks and hae yet to feel the baby move, so am just a teensy bit paranoid (even though I am perfectly away it is normal). I have a private scan on 6 June so I suppose we will find out what is going on then. I know there was a heartbeat a week last friday but the paranoia has grown doe to some quite interesting pain when I went swimming on Friday and sneezed. I assume it was all ligaments shifting, but t'was mst uncomfortable.

Currently enjoying the blazng sunshine, though am trying to avoid getting sunburn this time round...

GrandPoohBah · 27/05/2012 10:01

Another baby! Eee, how exciting! Congratulations Blue, well done :)

Leedy, I hope everything's going ok for you and it's over quickly and the journalist realises her foot in mouth comment and feels terrible about it for days.

So, we had our 12wk scan and it turns out that there's an actual baby in my tummy! They were fantastic and when I explained that I was terrified got me on the couch straight away to scan before doing the blood tests or blood pressure checks. It took about 5 hours for them to get all the measurements they needed as baby was having its own little disco in there and being awkward, so we had to go, have a drink and a walk, come back, do it all again...

But. Definitely a baby. 1 in 17500 chance of Down Syndrome, everything looking absolutely fine.

At some point I'm going to have to come to terms with the fact that I may end up with a baby after all this...

PieMistress · 27/05/2012 10:29

taigo do you know if your placenta is anterior or posterior? That can make a big difference to when you feel movement. With DS I didn't feel him move until at least 19 weeks, nearer 20 and even then I wasn't sure if it was baby or not.

grand great results!!

So we have two boy babies and one girl baby so far graduating on this thread! How exciting!!

I,ve put on three stone so far!! A lot of that was comfort eating I first tri but nevermind!!

InsomniaQueen · 27/05/2012 11:18

Sending big congratulations from casa IQ to casa Blue - so pleased all your hard work has paid off and that little Maxwell is doing well! Grin

Manda sorry your lot are so lurgy filled - hopefully they will all start to turn the corner soon and then you can all enjoy the newest arrival!

Tiago I had a large (their words) placenta and it was at the front so I didn't feel anything until 18 weeks. Even then it wasnt the bubbles or popping that everyone described. Mine was more like the feeling you get when you run your tongue across the inside of your mouth with your cheeks puffed out. Hopefully all is well and your little one is just chilling out! X

missc I didn't feel safe until I held her I'm my hands, at that point I just thought "nothing can take you away from me now". She felt 'real' and she felt like she was 'mine' properly rather than a baby I'd just been looking at on a screen.

Martha yay for a good MW - their worth their weight in gold!! Also double yay for early scans!! Xxx

miniIQ sends her love to her fellow mosh babies, minimanda and mini blue, we nearly have enough for a band, just need one more!!! He he he

boris sending hugs your way!!! Xxx

Love to all xxx

InsomniaQueen · 27/05/2012 11:22

To all the original thread ladies - anyone heard from baby or eve?

They should be due in the next few weeks!! Xxx :)

gothinrecovery · 27/05/2012 11:23

Hi all,

Was hoping I would start to feel better by now but don't - need to face facts that it will take time.

I've been told that your fertility is increased for a few months after a mc - is this true? That thought's about all that's keeping me going at the moment particularly given it had taken years to get a BFP in the first place. :(

StateofConfusion · 27/05/2012 11:46

Just checking in, lurking mainly as I'm quietly preparing myself for the worst and metalling hard x

MarthasHarbour · 27/05/2012 15:08

missC thankfully my MIL is an ex midwife so she is really good about my moshing, she also ttc'd for 2 years before she got DH so she is an honorary member of this thread (and she is lovely too Grin) she was the first person i phoned when i had my MC and she gave really good advice.

DS got us up at 5.45am this morn Angry so DH decided that we might as well embrace the day and head down the allotment Hmm but actually once we got there circa 7am Shock there were two or three others there, it was a nice cool time of day, it was blazing hot by the time we left at 9am.

IQ i havent heard from baby or eve since last year, i wonder if they are ok.

to goth and state

WhyAlwaysBoris · 27/05/2012 16:15

Hello everyone, hope you are all having a lovely day in the sunshine.

ooh martha I am so jealous of your allotment, how lovely.

Goth sorry you are still feeling bad. This is a horrible, horrible thing that has happend to you and I'm so sorry. I think you are right, it does take time.

GPB brilliant news on the scan. A disco baby! Will be a lot of fun for you to have around the house.

MissC your inlaws don't sound very nice. (hugs)

Manda, hope the lurgy is passing by now, must be awful for them to be itching in this heat. I don't know how you are managing to juggle everything but you are doing a brilliant job.

mumtum thinking of you today and hope you are OK

State hang in there.

Thanks everyone for the support and info about how long your mc took.

I am managing OK at the moment.

hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. mine has been very niceSmile its my 30th birthday tomorrow so we have had alot opf family visiting and went out for a lovely meal last night with our parents (DH, DD and I) and DH surprised me by ringing in advance and arranging for an icecream sundae topped with candles to be brought out to me with the lights off and spotlight on me and all the staff and my family all singing happy birthday to meGrinBlushGrin it was lovely!!

happy sunday everyoneSmile

gothinrecovery · 27/05/2012 19:33

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

We are pretty much planning to start TTC again ASAP although given my age, and the fact it had taken 4 years for me to get pg in the first place there will be a serious amount of finger crossing going on.

Heading back to work tomorrow, doc thinks I should take more time off, but tbh better off there and trying to keep busy than sitting at home moping.

Hugs all round.
