Morning everyone, good luck back at work today, possum
Manda denial ? Surely not!!! Good luck!

Well i tested (4 tests- that God Tits sent me extra)
I got 4 incredibly faint lines, so i dont know what the hell that means.
Today is day 28, last time i got much stronger lines and i tested two days early at day 26 cause i couldn't behave myself and wait
I don't mean fainter than the control, which i'm used to, but really really faint can only be seen if held up to the light and squinted at, and possibly just the mark on the test where a line should show???
I don't know if this means i ovd really late and so hcg has not built up or if it is a CP and already on the way out
AGGGGGHHHHH!
Have now made myself v late for work metalling
Will pay actual proper money today and buy a proper test for the morning.

I can't remember whose husband said ages ago up thread that he thought ICs were the work of the devil due to the the uncertain results, but my DH says to send him his regards!!!

Don't know how i'm going to get any work done at all today.

MandaHugNKiss · 17/05/2012 09:06

boris my love, a positive is a positive.

Now, I can't remember everyone's info lately (kinda distracted and all that... Wink ) but how many cycles are you from your loss? It seems quite common (so for that, read normal) for ov to be later in the cycles following a loss. Obviously some women ping right back on track with their cycles but most won't.

Get a good test and do it in the morning with your first wee of the day if you're wanting a result that is less ambiguous because this afternoon with may be too dilute/not held long enough (alternatively, if you must test later, hold your wee for four hours... and don't drink a crap load beforehand!)

Good luck, but it sounds good to me!

kirrinIsland · 17/05/2012 09:19

Wow Boris that sounds promising to me, do what manda says and test again in the morning, but a positive is usually a positive, so 4 positives.........

MarthasHarbour · 17/05/2012 09:20

oh oh boris a faint line is a faint line. you can join me, we can be term buddies! Hmm

seriously though, this sounds, well, positive. Get yourself a CB digi (wilkinsons do them for about £7 i think) and fingers crossed!

and as if my nerves couldnt take any more manda Shock

pebspop · 17/05/2012 09:35

boris, the ic's are always faint i think.

i was having a panic last time i was pg as they weren't getting any darker but it's just the way they are. I was pg with twins and they were still faint.

pebspop · 17/05/2012 09:36

good luck manda - it if happens today!!

MarthasHarbour · 17/05/2012 09:37

thats true actually pebs about the IC's - i did about three last week and they all came back completely negative, then the CB digi did its magic.

MandaHugNKiss · 17/05/2012 09:45

It's only the one person going on about the timing - eh, it kinda niggled a little but some people get caught up in details and...well, that's their perogative and mine to show them how they're not correct in their assumptions

As for packing DS2 off, it's not a good idea as although he had his MMR on monday afternoon it's not a guarantee that he won't still get measles. Same goes for DS1. So, we really need to get through early next week (although I was told symptoms could appear up to 18 days after DD's rash started, which takes us in to the following week). Although they don't need to be quarantined unless they start showing symptoms, similarly they need to be kept away from high risk groups 'just in case'... I just had a cry at DF that 'what if I end up having to stay in hospital for a few days? DS2 is gonna think I've vanished off the face of the earth (as he won't be allowed to visit me)' DS2 and I spend 99.99% of our time, day and night, together. The only night he's spent away from me was when I was in hospital last year and he didn't cope too well. Ugh.

But maybe I'll not deliver today. I mean, the braxtons I've been getting for the whole damn pregnancy, it seems seem a little... dunno, periody painy now. But that doesn't mean this is it. Anyway. I have the consultant at 11.30am today so maybe if I mention stuff they'll put me on the monitor/check it out and... ah, shoot. This could so be it. I need to pack a bag. So why am I MNing?

(watch me return later still totally pregnant and nothing doing Grin )

backwardpossom · 17/05/2012 09:55

Get packing Manda!! Good luck!

Back at work and bored already. Nice to see a different 4 walls for a change though. Got 29 stroppy 14 year olds about to walk through the door in 10 mins though so the boredom will soon go...

MarthasHarbour · 17/05/2012 10:27

oh you know i didnt mean that you should 'pack DS2 off' but i know you know that IYSWIM Confused

my DS was in a right huff with me when i spent a night in hospital during my MC last year, he wouldnt come to me for about 2 days as he thought i had abandoned him Sad so i do know what you mean.

its all hands to the pump then i guess! Grin

ConfusedMumDotCom · 17/05/2012 10:31

Good luck Manda!

TitsalinaBumSquash · 17/05/2012 10:35

Good luck Manda :o

Boris - when I was using those tests, they didn't show a positive for me until I was already 5-6 weeks when CB had been picking up the hormone from 3 weeks so if you're getting them you must have the right hormones going on in there! :)

MandaHugNKiss · 17/05/2012 11:21

marff I know that you know that I know what you mean, if you see what I mean? :P Hehehe.

This will be my last update this morning, I promise...

I just called delivery suite as I think I'm losing fluid too (and I'm group b strep pos) so instead of going to see my consultant, I'm going to them. If it is my waters, then I will most likely have to stay and have antibiotics. I'm getting niggly 'braxtons' every 20 mins or so, so in all honesty, I can be indenial all I like but I think Things Are Happening.

I have packed a bag.

Also have a runny tummy... which is how it started with DS2.

Ladies, may you all be here in my shoes very soon! I'm not actually wearing shoes at the moment, but you know what I mean. THis thread is very special and I just wanna thank you all for...y'know. Everything.

I don't have smart phone although DF is trying to force me into the current times and get an iphone so won't be able to update at the hospital, I don't think. Well, maybe from his phone, I will.

(Oh, in other news, DD has emerged from her bedroom, and although still clearly ill has improved lots - she even smiled briefly!)

Poppyjen · 17/05/2012 11:41

Manda thinking of you and will be eagerly awaiting updates when you are able Smile Good luck Grin

QueenandKingMum · 17/05/2012 11:44

Hi there, can anyone help me with this? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1474805-4-weeks-post-m-c-today

bonzo77 · 17/05/2012 11:45

Nooooooo manda keep updating. we love for your updates. especially if we are talking a rolling birth update. you really do need an iphone you know.

boris the ic strips gave me one of those "am- i -imagining- it" bfps 2 days before af due. FR gave me a more visible one the same day, neither with fmu. i then did ic strips with fmu for about 10 days. the last one finally gave me a bfp that was nearly as dark as the control line. so i was over 5 weeks by that point. in contrast the fr i did at exactly 5 weeks gave me a bfp where the test line was much darker than the control. you can tell i am obsessed. i still have all the tests labelled and stuck to a piece of card. Blush.

posting from work. shit computer, very slow with bizarre keyboard that i cannot touch type on. will post again later.

leedy · 17/05/2012 11:46

boris, that sounds quite hopeful!

And ooh, Manda, keep us posted.

StateofConfusion · 17/05/2012 11:46

boris a lines a line... :)

PieMistress · 17/05/2012 11:57

Good Luck manda I will be stalking this thread for news of DS's arrival! :) :) xxx

TitsalinaBumSquash · 17/05/2012 12:32

I am weeping over here.

I have the results from NT tests 1:26805

After poor Jaffa's experience I had been worrying a lot more than I realised about it.

MumTumWanted · 17/05/2012 12:40

Fab news tits Grin

Go manda wishing u all in the luck in world hun for an easy labour xxx and glad dd seems to be on the mend Smile

Hi to the other ladies hope u are all ok today ....

Me? Metalling.....well not even metalling despite the small ray of wanting and hoping so much to be told oh look there's the heartbeat I know I won't so I'm dreading the scan tomorrow so much that I asked dh to come with me Blush I'm normally very independent and have been to the others on my own but the thought of sitting in waiting room for the third time on my own well I just don't think I can face it ... Least it's an early appointment though small blessings and all that Confused

leedy · 17/05/2012 12:50

Awwwww, brilliant news tits! Fingers crossed mine will be nearly as good next Tuesday.

YikesHereWeGo · 17/05/2012 13:23

Gosh there seems to be a lot of exciting news today. V excited for Manda! And I'd be getting very giddy if I were you, Boris.
Possum - hope first day back goes smoothly.
I've followed the suggestions on here and have ordered some ic's from eBay (bargain!) so fingers crossed for a negative result like Possum and Confused, shortly followed by a BFP. Yes, am thinking very positively today :-)

GrandPoohBah · 17/05/2012 13:49

Ahhh, so exciting! All of you! Sorry, my brain has melted so I can't namecheck but I'm watching and all excited for everyone.

I'm still feeling symptomy and stuff which is wearing but A Good Thing. 12wk scan next Thursday, it can't come quickly enough - I just want to know either way. Argh.

ConfusedMumDotCom · 17/05/2012 13:55

Yikes I could really do with a BFP. I forgot I wasn't Pg earlier, then I remembered, but it wasn't as sad as it has been.

I have strange twinges in my pelvic area. This is clearly implantation (and not wind). I don't even know when next to pee on a stick. I will try and hold out until 31 May. Anyone else testing around then and up for some handholding?
