About to start TTC#2 - does anyone want to come along for the ride?

Hi there,

So, DD is going to be 3 in June and I'm going to be 38 two weeks later. About a year ago I wanted a 2nd DC but DH didn't. I then changed my mind at Xmas.

DH has now changed his mind and persuaded me so finally we're in agreement and ready to go.

CD1 is due this week and then we can start.

Is anyone else ready to TTC#2?

I tried its really bad though so he just couldn't do it. Did it once yesterday and don't think will be able to tomorrow. I feel a bit bad asking tbh.

Ah well once on the first positive day should be enough, if it's meant to be!

You will have only had one batch of swimmers on egg day and it happened for you, you've given me hope!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 29/05/2012 00:00

Ah thanks cheese! Hang around and bring me luck with your pregnant vibes!!

thehomesecretary · 29/05/2012 08:18

Woo cheese exciting news! Very happy for you!
Hi to the newbies too!
Am on CD13 but feeling ov pain and have been spotting. Wonder if it's the agnus castus having an effect- I've never ov'd this early! Have ditched the sticks and temping this month though so I have no way of knowing for sure...oh well, best just keep SWI and crossing fingers!

Adayforthinking · 29/05/2012 10:30

Congrats Cheese - great news! Grin

My lucky thread is yielding fruit (or sticky eggs!!) - Yay!!

So, CD13 today, SWI for the last 3 nights and totally bored of it already. But told DH that we have to go for it every night until about Sunday and then can reduce down (to keep him happy...) to every few days. I'd rather not bother after Sunday but I don't want him to think we're only doing it to make a baby (although I am - LOL).

I don't use OPKs or anything so I'm hoping that just covering the days before and after when I previously OVd would be OK. Trouble is, when you've been SWI a lot, it's difficult to notice the EWCM if you know what I mean... I keep forgetting to temp aswell... I'll have to try and remember tomorrow.

Does anyone have bloating before OVing? I've been horribly bloated since about CD11 and I'm suffering with headaches every day, although that could be various things. It's all a bit odd and probably things that you don't think about associating with OVing etc unless you're TTC...

Anyway, hope everyone is having a lovely day. I've got Twilight 'Eclipse' on in the background today for background noise more than anything! Have a good one ladies. xx

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 29/05/2012 10:37

I never have anything but this month I was bloated and have had god awful cramps. But like you say, I probably would even notice unless I was TTC so who knows!

Home interesting to see what happens with the AC, why did you start it are your periods irregular?

Ive started taking B6 this month and have ovualted on Day 14 I think which is really where I want to be. See if it lasts!

EddieIzzardIsMine · 29/05/2012 10:49

Aday you'll be walking like John Wayne come Sunday! Fx for this month though...

Hi to newbies too!

I'm still in 2ww, just twiddling fingers time and wait for AF to rock up (anytime in the first week of June given the messed up cycle ths month)

somethingwittynot · 29/05/2012 12:10

how much b6 are people taking and what does it do?

jessi0343 · 29/05/2012 14:23

Hi! Newbie here! Can I join? DH and I have just decided to start TTC#2 (we have DD who is 1 year). Just had AF last week so this will be our first cycle trying. DD was conceived on our first try last time around so am hoping for same success here, but know not to expect it. Very exciting!

Congrats to cheese on your bfp! And good luck to everyone else!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 29/05/2012 14:28

Hi jessi good luck! How old is your first?

Fingers crossed for you, you have come to the right place.

So its too early for you to be going crazy yet and buying monitors and vitamins? I have been trying 3 months now, and I am in the full swing of nuttiness.

I hope you won't mind me lurking on this thread - I only had my first baby 10 days ago and I'm already dying to ttc my second. There are so many new babies-to-be on here that I'm sure it's a really lucky thread - hopefully if I do lurk, when I can try for my next baby (soon, I hope Grin) and start posting properly, it'll happen really quickly.
Congratulations to all the ladies with wonderful BFPs, and fingers crossed for everyone due to POAS soon.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 29/05/2012 20:17

Aw thanks peachen I felt the same I wanted another one the day after, thanks for giving us some more luck!

witty bang on the same!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 29/05/2012 20:18

Oh apart from your holding out till the 15th. I know I won't!

Bazzle · 29/05/2012 20:25

Congratulations Cheese!!

Have added my stats below, i am now on my 4th day of positive OPK's! Had strong OV pains yesterday though so am going along with that. Maybe a touch more SWI tonight, never thought i would see the day but DH is super tired with it all this month. Have been doing every other day (due to unpredictable cycles) plus the last 4 days it a row. zzzzz.

Bazzle · 29/05/2012 20:27

Wow Peahen that's quick! Congratulations BTW. Hope you are enjoying all the lovely cuddles :)

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 29/05/2012 20:30

I had 2 positive yesterday & the day before but only swi on Sunday. We are thinking of doing it tonight on the off chance but I can't muster any enthusiasm tbh!

Bazzle · 29/05/2012 20:32

P.s How many BFP's has this thread had??

jessi0343 · 29/05/2012 21:23

Wow Peahen! A 10 day old newborn and already thinking about #2! It took me a while to get over the shock of childbirth and recovery before I started to get broody again (nearly a year!)
Hope you're enjoying your lovely little bundle of joy!

somethingwittynot · 29/05/2012 22:23

ive been working things out and ive only had 2 afs in 18 weeks?! could this be why my OPKs are negative?! maybe i oving one month and not the next?

somethingwittynot · 29/05/2012 22:25

i was in HDU in critical care DS was about 5 days old and out of my mouth came " i want another" whilst starting on my 3rd bag of blood

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 29/05/2012 22:32

Can we have a pregnancy tot up. Can only remember a few, lots of people literally post once and get a bfp!

I think it's lots though.
