flour hi, yeh just let me know down the line if you wan details re cough meds,hopefully you will figure it out without! Actually it is common to see more than one 'patch' of EWCM, which just confuses things even more. If you want, this Q and A link www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/ has some info. In reference to your 'show me yours' comment, I actually saw some pics of the different types the other day! Not only do people show off their CM - they put photos on the internet. It hurt my eyes a bit.

My sex and hope combo are pretty rubbish this morning. My temp chart is the only 'method' I have for ov, (rubbish pant snot, cant wee on sticks, cant find cervix); its a new thing to me but was finding it pretty useful and with a regular pattern with a temp rise within a small range each month....

Untill...I read a paper that said BBT is a bit pants and we might not be seeing the true ovulation day. WHAT NOW? Okay, conceeded that sex should be taking place over a longer period during the cycle (I always 'give up' at the temp rise) and perhaps not treat the chart as the whole truth bout the world. Hey perhaps stopping too early is where we where going wrong? Sex last night did not "go as planned", some kind of extra offering this morning didnt work out due to awaking toddler. Well you can but try right? NOW, fertility "friend" claims i maybe ov-ed (perhaps it's always a dotted line) last weekend. WHAT NOW? On CD 8? Really?

TTC is not the place for a control freak, I didn't even know I was a control freak, maybe it made me into a control freak?

Ok I'm going to try and forget about it for a bit. Oh, great I have a job intereview today for a job I don't really want, with a friend on the interview panel. Super, that should do it.

Purple I am inclined to agree with you. The first temp was high regardless. I think it's a case of watching and monitoring over the next few days. I have read that sore boobs could be an indication of progesterone. Here's hoping :)

I am a bit bad at the no booze thing through the whole cycle and I cant say Ive never really noticed any 'freak' temps based on this. This cycle I want to just dump my calandar - first time I just "don't believe" its correct, but also I don't want it to be which can be a powerful thing on it's own. Last month I was "pregnant" in the manner of paying so much attention to my body that the information was easy to find. Also I believe I should be preparing for interview. Put a jacket on to put myself in the right frame of mind, and here I am back on Mumsnet...

Moo I get really hurty nipples just after when I think I might ovulate. Didn't notice it before ttc at. The last 2 loong cycles i've had while ttc they've been sore for about a week in the second half, gradually fading and completely back to normal by the time AF turned up. Not sure if I had chemical pregnancy or not but AF was 5 days late and had the boob thing.

After much frantic googling I found that its really common to get sore boobs after ovulation right up to AF. So, sounds like you may well have ovulated!

You and I are on the same cycle day and when I put it into mumsnet calculator my due date would be christmas day too! Fingers crossed. That would be the best xmas present EVER.

But a bit pants for DC who will forever have "Merry Birthday".

Am late on my way to work as had to talk to the builder and then was so engrossed in mumsnet missed my stop and am now waiting on freezing platform for the next train. Bring on the long weekend!!

flour aside from the link I sent you I also read that EWCM and cervical position change in relation to estrogen levels, these levels are good markers of the approach of ov, but estrogen can go up and down at times other other ovulation. Will send cough info after bloody interview.

Flour how cool is it that we are on the same CD do you know if you have ov'd yet? Yes, Xmas Day bobba is not ideal buuuuuuuut, I reckon i would be overdue anyway so thinking more a late Xmas bobba instead.

My CP is high and closed which can only be a good thing and I am feeling a little crampy. Hmmmm. Would be so amazed if not only did i manage to lay an egg but also get pg, the month I have my HSG!!!!!!!!!

Moo my boobs hurt from after ov until af arrived. I never noticed it until I started ttc but they def ached for a good couple of weeks and then faded out just before AF. Glad the temps have stayed high, it all sounds good for egg laying.

Flour the month we got our BFP was when I threw out the temps, didn't swi enough and did not feel remotely pg - not even any hurty boobs. I was so convinced we were not pg that I was 4 days late before we tested! Don't give up till auntie sings :) From memory the cough medicine begins with a R - not sure that helps much, will have a google.

No news here. Still feeling sick, got quite bad in the hot bank in town and had to leave to get some fresh air but no actual vomiting. The only time I don't feel ill is when I'm eating although I only fancy very specific food and that can change after I've actually made said meal . I'm going to be the size of a house

We have a wedding to go to tomorrow so more pretending to drink and making excuses for going to bed early.

No scan date yet but got my booking in appointment on the 18th (first day the kids are back after easter holidays!)

Afternoon, interview fairly painless, (in summary) got the job, don't want it, will do it anyway.

The deal with cough meds: a drug called guaifensin thins mucus in lungs but also, so it goes, in the rest of the body. I believe, but check, that Robitussin is the brand in the UK (don't live there). Thick mucus is rubbish for baby-making. Some cough meds have other drugs like antihistamines which are drying so it needs to be only guaifensin. Take twice a day, as if you had a cough, a few days leading up to ov. Some people think it's iffy, becuase it is a drug and all, which I can understand then again not really crack right? If you google 'guaifensin conception' you'll find a bunch of views.

In other news: in the world where I avoid the obvious (my chart and rubbish not-getting-pg history) and have ov'ed when I think (based on...well ermm) and got pg, and it sticks...I'm due, yes indeed,....the 25th of December.

Robitussin was the name of the cough medicine I was thinking of - thanks purple. It has been mentioned on prev conception threads that I was on before meeting you lovely ladies. I would google a bit before taking it though.

My tummy feels really off, the problem is so does my OH's and my 2year old crapped his pants which he never does. Of course this isn't a stomach upset, this is a baby in the making....clearly.

I feel upset in the tummy too and nauseous but at only potentially 2dpo I know it's not likely to be pg related and more likely something dodgy I ate.

I am craving hummus and pâté though.......

At the risk of TMI I had the most EWCM I've ever had today. Unbelievable. Sadly DH is poorly and can't be persuaded to dtd! :-(

I did have it 4 days go so it may not mean anything but I feel we should probably DTD at least when it's there... Am hoping he'll feel better tomorrow.
