Right, I bit the bullet and started the new thread. Hope it's OK. Here's to mucho more laughter, tears, support, tea and biscuits! xxx

Hi all. Sorry to hear about your struggles ladies who've had miscarriages/ectopics recently. It's never going to be plain sailing getting over something like that. I hope you're all being good to yourselves and getting rl support.

I wondered how this thread was still working, and whether people felt it was too. I really like you guys and I have followed your stories for coming up a year! I don't have a problem with hearing about your 'woes' as you put it, but I do tend to lurk more than post now, because I'm aware that complaining about pregnancy woes will be the last thing ttc-ers want to hear! It's tricky!

Anyway, I have a confession that no one could be envious of. I have an enormous , painful haemorrhoid! Blush It hurts so much! The normal creams aren't touching it. The only thing that seems to ease it a bit is a bag of frozen peas applied... Oh the glamour!

Still, have my 20 week scan on weds, and really looking forward to that. Haven't bought any baby stuff yet, waiting till that's all ok and then it's green light to go shopping!

Hope you're all ok xxx

Festie please don't feel you can't share the ups and downs of your pregnancy here with us. We started this together and god dammit we'll finish it as well.

I enjoy listening to the stories, it gives me an insight into what I have to look forward too Grin and those of us left, we will get there.

Please stick around, we are all here to support each other.

Sorry about the painful bottom. Haven't got any magic remedies, just Brew and sympathy Grin hope it clears up soon!

Wow, 20 week scan, can't believe how quick that's come around!!

Disco good to see you. Hope you lay an egg very soon and catch it good as well Grin

Countmyblessings · 15/05/2012 00:36

Thanks for the support, feeling very fragile and in a way feels strange to post on the same thread i shared my BFP and then my loss!
def don't want to bring the thread down or stop those pregnant posting, so I'm going to go, I really do hope that those still looking for the BFP will get it soon and those who are pregnant I hope all will continue to go well and all the best!
Thanks for all your support, hugs and great advice! X

iloveberries · 15/05/2012 09:24

Hiya festie! hope your 20 week scan goes well!

I have no problem with all you ladies posting about your pregnancies on here at all as it's nice to know they're going well and we have been following eachother for some time as moo says but I hope you're not offended if i start another TTC thread for those who are still TTC. I like coming here when I'm feeling strong etc but when I want to talk about TTC and am feeling low I don't want to read about how everyone told their family they were pregnant/how bad ms is etc. It's nothing personal and I hope i have articulated that well enough that it comes across how I mean it!! I am o happy for you all but sometimes we need a safe place with others who are going through similar to us at the same time. Much like you guys should definitely feel you can talk about the excitement of your pregnancies without feeling guilty! (festie we all remember what you've been through and i am so happy things are going well for you :) )

Personally I only dip in to this thread when i know i can 'take it' but i don't think that's any reason to stop it! I wish you ladies all the very very best!!!

count, moo, disco - perhaps we will meet on another TTC thread?

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 15/05/2012 09:29

Berries I completely understand where you are coming from. I am more than happy to continue my TTC journey with you guys on a different thread; at least we can then dip in and out of this thread to see how everyone else is doing.

We will get there - and I can bore you with how my body is not playing nice Grin

festiemum · 15/05/2012 10:04

count, berries, moo - I completely and utterly understand. Do keep us informed though, if you feel you can! xxx

Purpledragon · 15/05/2012 11:40

Hi, back with my llamas to say hello to all. Also with a new cycle. Hmm. It marks the end of my three cycles of serious temping, supplements, healthy eating, hydrating, looking for pant snot and generally raising my expectations. I'm going to keep going for another three, perhaps with some tests for old women to see if I'm wasting my time or not. I'll pop in for a Brew every now and again.

Lilliana · 16/05/2012 07:24

Hi everyone, I'm sad this thread is winding down a bit but completely understand, it was getting a little tricky but having 'known' you for the last year I would still like to know what is happening with you all and how everyone is getting on.

Guess I'm going to have to try my a-n thread again and see if some people have dropped out so I can keep up with it!

Count, Moo, Disco, Purple and Berries I so hope you get your BFP's soon, the clomid works (if you even need it!) and all job and house moves go well.

Moo good luck with the interview today, I'm sure you will be great and hope you get it.

festie so sorry but no advice (although a little sympathetic chuckle at you holding a bag of peas to your bottom!) Hope it eases soon x

Hope you all check in now and again and let us know how things are going x

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 16/05/2012 08:56

Lil not going for the job now, have decided that i am more than happy where I am.

Right loads to do. Will pop in and let you know how it's all going!

festiemum · 16/05/2012 10:05

What about us ladies starting our own thread in Pregnancy lil?

We are still in conception here!

I am soooooo nervous about my scan it's unreal. Dh doesn't understand at all. He thought I'd be really excited. I am, but mostly nervous. Bum grapes are getting better though! :o

OP posts:
coveredinflour · 16/05/2012 17:08

Hi everyone,

I totally understand why the TTC-ers might want to start their own, new, thread, I would really hate to make anyone feel awkward or bad and totally understand how it's hard to have people like me mention difficulties of ms when getting (and staying) pg is the goal. I hope my post on Sunday wasn't too hard for people to read.

I would still really like to know how you're all getting on though so will probably lurk to see. Really hope it all works out for you, especially when I know you've all been through such a tough time in different ways. I really am keeping everything crossed for you!!!

Festie I would definitely be up for a new thread in Pregnancy too. I've not got on with any of the threads there, like Lil I found them too hard to follow and, actually, I just didn't feel so comfortable.

I've just come back from the hospital as started bleeding a bit this morning. Seems to be OK but am obviously still worried and it's nice to have somewhere to share this kind of stuff as DH is great but I don't have a lot of people I can talk to about it in RL yet. :(

xx

Lilliana · 16/05/2012 18:19

Yep, would love to join you on a pg thread. Will be pop back here to see how the ttc ladies are getting on and keep in touch with people. Hopefully they will be able to join us soon on the a-n boards :)

Flour hope all is ok but must be worrying. Will chat on new thread x

festie have you started one yet?

Rusulka · 16/05/2012 18:29

Flour did you bump uglies recently? That's what caused my bleeding, and someone else's from memory too (although memory not good enough to tell me who).

Sorry to hear that the comfy old thread as was will be disintegrating a little, but completely understand for those still ttc, as I used to feel so narked at people coming on and announcing their BFPs then swanning off... and that was in the days before hanging around and talking about it all the time!

Really don't want to lose touch with you all though, so hopefully we can find some way of making it work...

I've spent the day in the garden since the sun was out, and strimmed the grass, then fought my way through the ridiculous undergrowth of weeds in all the borders (thanks, epic rain).
I've also drilled more holes in my new bookcases, so have managed to accommodate my little beading boards, while still leaving nice-sized niches for the two piggy banks I made myself and DH.
Oh, and I stuck numbers on the front door so the postmen don't get confused any more!
The house is getting there. S-l-o-w-l-y.

Got my consultant's appt on Monday, bracing myself for a telling off for not losing epic weightage as hoped, but trying to fit in as much 'exercise' as I can to see if I can lose a smidge before I go.
A week after that it's the midwife again, who hopefully won't weigh me, and beyond that, who knows. Antenatal classes booked for early July, but only get 2 two hour sessions. Seems a bit paltry to me, although my mum said they didn't get any, and it was just tough shit, get on with it.

Hope you're all ok!

Discolite · 16/05/2012 19:14

Bonjour everyone.

It is pity that this thread is changing but as we've got so many people at different stages now it is getting awkward. I would very much like the pregnant ladies to start a thread on the Pregnancy board as that was one reason I hung around on this thread when pregnant - the oct/nov threads etc were so overpopulated it was very hard to keep up with everyone. Besides, it means that when those of us still TTC actually make it we'll have somewhere appropriate to go to! Just make sure you post a link when someone does set one up please!

Having said that I hope we can all hop between the two boards a bit :)

Festie I hope that scan goes well and that your haemorrhoid pain continues to ease. My mum has suffered from them since having me and swears by drinking lots of water, makes things easier apparently.

Flour hope the bleeding stops asap.

Rusulka DIY goddess!

Right, I'm off to find Berries new thread.

2 months since the miscarriage today but not doing badly. Think I did my crying for it on Sunday if you see what I mean.

Waiting to ovulate is doing my head in now!

festiemum · 16/05/2012 20:56

Hi all! Had a stalk and saw the ttc-ers shiny new thread, so have started one in ante-natal clubs for the preggers ones. It's here

I'm still gonna be in here too. Don't want to loose touch with you lovely ttc ladies!

Had a lovely scan today, sonographer not 100%, but pretty sure it's a girl due to lack of meat and two veg.... Feel like I can start preparing for the new arrival now!

Xxxx to you all xxxx

OP posts:
MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 16/05/2012 21:05

Ladies, def do not want to lose touch with any of you at all. You have all been so supportive and understanding BiscuitSmile

Festie yey for she-bean and glad all is ok. Hope the bum is getting better and if not then hope the peas are helping.

Flour sorry to hear about your bleed, as Rusulka said though, maybe you have angered the cervix somehow Blush hope it eases and you feel better soon Brew

Rusulka I'm really gonna miss those DIY updates, so will be doing some stalking of my own to stay in the loop!!

Feel like I'm losing old and dear friends. Makes me feel very sad!!!

Don't think any others would put up with our, ahem, frankness Grin

I'll be back soon Grin hugs to all

festiemum · 16/05/2012 21:22

Well, we can have the best of both worlds moo - a chit chat and news thread here, and more detailed threads in their respective places! I'm still gonna stalk you guys in the other thread!

Bottom much better, thanks!

flour have posted in the new thread about your bleed, but hope you are ok.

OP posts:
Lilliana · 16/05/2012 21:46

Ok, will go join Festies new thread but do feel sad about splitting up. Will def be lurking on the ttc thread as want to keep up with all your goings on (Your ttc thread will have as many lurkers as posters!) and keep this one going for our random chats and news.

Discolite · 16/05/2012 21:51

Great news on the scan Festie congratulations! Hope your DH is equally delighted.

I agree that now we have the best of both worlds which rocks. I'm no way going to lose touch with any of you :)

In non TTC news Jim the five month old puppy did really well at his kennel club bronze award class (sadly, I do get a glow of quasi-maternal pride). My work situation is getting weird and awkward as some other members of my department are basically trying to engineer a coup on on my head of department. Eek!

Moo staying at your current job sounds like a great idea, if you do really like it then an extra bit of money isn't worth it.

How is the bleeding this evening Flour? Hope it's ok x

festiemum · 16/05/2012 22:07

Hey disco -dogs are definitely deserving of maternal pride! I am a complete softly when it comes to my dogs! Well done Jim!

iloveberries · 17/05/2012 07:00

Congrats on the scan festie! glad all is well in there!
hope your ass gets better soon ;)
will keep checking in on you and when (get me, not if but when) i get my next BFP I'll post in here for sure!

Lilliana · 17/05/2012 07:15

Moo glad you are happy where you are, that is a huge thing when you think of the hours you spend at work and less stress is always giid for ttc.

Disco your work place sounds interesting atm! - do you like your HoD? Hope it doesn't get too awkward for you.

Flour any change with the bleeding? Was going to ask the same as Rus about whether you and DH been up to anything as have heard a few people have had bleeding after.

Lilliana · 17/05/2012 07:25

Moo I had a look at your chart (hope you don't mind I did say I would be lurking!) It doesn't look as good as last months which was pretty textbook but not nearly as bad as charts previous to you going into hospital. I don't think you are out yet as although not perfect, it does show a rise and there are lots of factors that affect your temping accuracy, remember you have done a lot moving house etc. Don't give up hope yet x

coveredinflour · 17/05/2012 08:58

Hi everyone, will head over to the pg thread now (and just lurk to check in on you guys on TTC thread).

Thank you all for your kind words and concern. Just to let you know, thankfully the bleed has stopped. Had a scan yesterday and the bean looks healthy with a good strong heartbeat. They couldn't see any reason for the bleed or to be concerned so fingers crossed it was just a one off.

And no, sadly there's been no DTD - Ru it was me that had the bleed after that last time about a month ago so I've been keeping my legs firmly crossed ever since. Poor DH.

Good luck to you all and hopefully see everyone in the PG thread very soon!!!

xxx

Discolite · 17/05/2012 10:35

Festie glad to know I'm not the only softy! Now I've got to work on him behaving as well at home as he does at his training class Grin. He hasn't been too destructive but I came home last week to find toothmarks in the plaster of the kitchen wall. Oops. At least it's mendable. I may wait til he's past his adolescent naughty phase though!

Lil I don't really like my HoD. We have to do a lot of team teaching together and he's a lazy so-and-so, not to put too fine a point on it! The department is run very sloppily. Having said that though, I don't want to be responsible for someone losing their job (the person is a good teacher, not just motivated). I'm hoping he finds a good job somewhere else and we get an organised and enthusiastic new boss.

Flour good news on the bleed, hope things go back to being boringly normal.

Berries of course it's 'when' not 'if'!

Ok, over to the other thread now.
