Argh, and be welcome to our new pirate Fred. Be finding yourself a parrot and a wooden leg and hop on board for the trip of a lifetime. Argh.
If ye be new and wantin' to join our motley crew, be filling in the BESHtionnaire application below. Argh.

  1. Do you like gin? (This is compulsory, you must say 'Yes')

  2. Men - are you a gold digger or a cradle snatching cougar?

  3. Baybee-making - to put a baybee in your tumtum, which hole do you use:
    a) weewee
    b) poopoo
    c) foofoo
    d) none, you just pray to the baby Jebus.

That's a "c", right there...

  1. Testing - when someone wonders if they should test for updiff (pg), do you:
    a) bellow 'POAS!' at them non-stop and punch them repeatedly in the kidneys till they wet themselves anyway.
    b) Sprinkle them with babydust and send them hugs and kisses on lickle baby angel wings.

  2. Is R2D2:
    a) an adorable robot from Star Wars.
    b) the source of all evil.

  3. Number of pets?

  4. Inappropriate (read: weird) crush of shame?

George Michael. He'd be off the drugs and on the straight and narrow ('scuse pun) if we ever met...

  1. Lesbian crush?

  2. What are your views on camping?

  3. How much money have you spent on sticks you then urinate on?
    i) Oh nothing, I'll probably catch first time and then get the doctor to confirm it.
    ii) Over 100 quid
iii) I opened an account on ebay solely for the purpose of purchasing sticks

Finally, tell us how you found the BESH and why you'd like to join us pliz.

dottie of course you're diffed already. That's exactly how it works! Dr Google says yes, clomid can make your temp increase....
Northey the hunger for you is obviously diffedness too!
I am slightly better I think. Slept better. Just got to get through today. Quiet morning in office before I go off to teach.

OP posts:
Northey · 15/03/2012 09:28

Oh for fucks sake. I saw a job advertised yesterday, went back to apply for it today, and it's been withdrawn. It was commutable from here and not too hideously below my old salary and everything. I am really pissed off and dejected now.

CaveMum · 15/03/2012 09:44

Oh Norf that's shitty. Can you send the company your cv anyway and ask them to keep it on file?

sinking of course we can menkul together. Droid is due here Monday/Tuesday. How bout you?

Dor, yup Clomid can definitely make your temp go up. The first 2 months I had no recognisable side effects at all, but cycles 3 and 4 have produced the most horrendous night sweats, waking up absolutely drenched. Luffly Hmm
Sounds like they'll be monitoring you quite closely, which is good. For some reason my NHS authority don't do mid-cycle scanning to check for follicles, they only do Day 21 bloods.

Looks like its going to be a luffly day here (East Angular) so I think I'll do a spot of gardening today.

Northey · 15/03/2012 09:49

I could try that, cavey, thanks. I am just miserable because I had got myself all psyched up to log on and do a good application, and then it was all for nothing.

I am off for coffee with a potential new friend later, so hopefully I will have cheered up by then.

FriendofDorothy · 15/03/2012 10:53

I am at jersey zoo and have been most amused to see two Andean bears shagging. Very enthusiastic it was too. I feel like a voyeur... Almost dirty!!

I was most amused to see a group of French schoolchildren arrived. Wonder how their teachers managed that scenario! :)

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 15/03/2012 12:23

Ahoy wenches!

Lovely day for zooing (and voyeuristic habits) and gardening. Both sound like excellent plans! Btw I think the french are much more okay than us about shapping bears... (That sounds really wrong, so I am leaving it).

And congrats on the immediate diffedness from sniffing clomid. Surely, if your temp is up already you are having triplets, dot.

As for me, I stepped away from the p-stick yesterday (as I realised there would be no X-ray and thus no excuse). Today convinced myself the droid was here, that I bought emergency rations on my commute to discover the damp feelings I had, were entirely imaginary. At least I am stocked up when it arrives, droid expected between tomorrow and Sunday, and no I am not menkulling about the lack of spotting, it will happen

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 15/03/2012 12:23

shapping is clear shagging and I have NO typing skills...

sinkingflameofhilarity · 15/03/2012 13:49

We knew what you meant drizzle, fear not!

I love the zoo. Well, I love Chester zoo. It's the only one I've been to, and that was only about 2 yrs ago

Cave, I'm due on Monday/tues as well. Lots of low womb like pain today. Good sign obv. And not constipation. No sir-ee. Have had to give myself a stern talking to about trying to poas today.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 15/03/2012 13:58

Go on sinking you know doing things with sticks is entirely pointless. So do it. You know you want to Wink

Menkulling here (dull job to do for work) and I convinced myself I could smell droid. Not yet. I spot for 24 hrs normally. So really that means it will arrive on Sat or Sun. As expected. (And that means my cd3 scan will coincide with my appraisal at work, not that it matter so much anymore, but I like my boss, and I think I have done quite well the past year).

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 15/03/2012 14:00

I cannot believe how terrible my typing is today. Maybe I should just give up, go home and watch telly rather than write documents, which are vaguely important. I guess I could use the spell checker

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 15/03/2012 16:34

I dunno I struggle through go to work for a few hours, there's shapping bears and everything! That's my favourite typo of the thread so far!
dot I'm glad you're having fun :)
Northey I'd definitely send in a cv and an expression of interest. Won't do any harm.
I feel rough. Thank goodness for painkillers and antibiotics. And weekends. Roll on!

OP posts:
sinkingflameofhilarity · 15/03/2012 16:41

Is it wrong I can't spot drizzles latest spelling mistake?

Please don't encourage POAS madness. I had to pop to the shop (for mothers day card- now sent. Phew), and it seems a test twin pack just dropped into my basket. I now have 3 (at least) in the house. It would be pointless and black cloud inducing

LauARRRRRaPalmer · 15/03/2012 16:42

Dark chocolate mint M&Ms!!!!!! Package just picked up, fank you fank you darling Norfy! (I was going to send some of my unused ICs but no return address...PM me & they're yours if you would like them)

Carry on, matey lassies Wink

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 15/03/2012 16:51

The mint m&ms were awesome, a bit like a cross between m&ms and after eights Grin
I believe the initial typo was the shapping/shagging. The latter was in her work rather than on Fred sinky. Now step away from the pee sticks! Argh to be sure it'll do you no good you wench!

OP posts:
Northey · 15/03/2012 18:21

Before I set myself up to receive a deluge of ICs, could you explain what they actually are :o I would hate to have to try to be enthusiastically grateful for something that turned out to be Incontinence Catchers...

AMNH is back from his field trip now, so I am back on the shapping wagon (oh it was a blissful few nights of just me and a cat and a copy of Zest).

lemon, loving the brazenness of "I thought I could smell droid!" Shock

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 15/03/2012 18:57

ICs I presume = internet cheapies?
I am luffing the idea of adopting shapping! No shapping for us til my insides stop screaming at me! Said to MSB yesterday I was sorry there was no shapping atm but twas ok, should be in tip top condition by egg laying time. Got accused of treating him like a piece of meat! Confused

OP posts:
jewelsandbinoculars · 15/03/2012 18:58

Shipmates?
I got a bfp. I dipsticked an IC this morning and got a line so faint I sort of thought I was imagining it, and then I did a superdrug test that was faint but real. And then I bought a CB digi and weed on it at lunchtime and got a 1-2 weeks.

Was shaky and cry-y earlier. And although it?s wonderful and I?m pleased I?m already a bit scared of MC again (it is v early I think this is 12 or 13 DPO), or of not MC and daring to start to believe in it and then having another dud scan. Haven?t told anyone in RL. Only person who knows is a friend from old fred. Will tell JJ after work.

For those of you inclined to the 2ww menkul, looking back my only real symptom these past few days has been a level of flatulence unbeknownst even to me. And the thing that made me start to wonder was being on the tube last night coming back from seeing new baby nephew and idly reading a cartoon in the Saturday magazine and it just making me feel so sad. Really troublingly, disproportionately sad. It was a car-fecking-toon. Although any of you guardian-readers, did you see the turkey monster cartoon under lucy mangan? Bloody hell

Anyway, I know lots of you have been going much longer than me and FWIW I have my fingers totally, totally crossed for you all. Hopefully mine is just the next in a veritable flood of wins just stacking up. Now?er?get yer tits oot?

KatAndKit · 15/03/2012 19:02

OMG OMG OMG bfp!!!! :) :) :) Congratulations :) :)

You are bound to be scared after a previous MC, it's a bloody long wait and seems like an eternity till you can find out till everything is ok. I recommend private 8 week scan to cut the first tri in half.

Now there have been two wins recently am hoping that a massive cluster diff is taking place.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 15/03/2012 19:05

Woo! Nekkid dancing time!

Seriously, it's understandable that you're nervous. We are here to support you and show you luff :) no apologising for a bfp! regardless of any woes we will be happy for a fellow BESH! Are you on a long day? What time do you finish?

Jewels!!!! Woot woot woot!

[gets out nipples tassles & feather boa]

Fabulous news Grin

Is now the right time to mention that I have had the flatulence from hell for the last few days? Confused
Honest to god it's awful: skunks have nothing on me at the moment!

[tries not to menkul even more]

KatAndKit · 15/03/2012 20:26

Oooh we are now officially on FartWatch for cavey !!
