Argh, and be welcome to our new pirate Fred. Be finding yourself a parrot and a wooden leg and hop on board for the trip of a lifetime. Argh.
If ye be new and wantin' to join our motley crew, be filling in the BESHtionnaire application below. Argh.

  1. Do you like gin? (This is compulsory, you must say 'Yes')

  2. Men - are you a gold digger or a cradle snatching cougar?

  3. Baybee-making - to put a baybee in your tumtum, which hole do you use:
    a) weewee
    b) poopoo
    c) foofoo
    d) none, you just pray to the baby Jebus.

That's a "c", right there...

  1. Testing - when someone wonders if they should test for updiff (pg), do you:
    a) bellow 'POAS!' at them non-stop and punch them repeatedly in the kidneys till they wet themselves anyway.
    b) Sprinkle them with babydust and send them hugs and kisses on lickle baby angel wings.

  2. Is R2D2:
    a) an adorable robot from Star Wars.
    b) the source of all evil.

  3. Number of pets?

  4. Inappropriate (read: weird) crush of shame?

George Michael. He'd be off the drugs and on the straight and narrow ('scuse pun) if we ever met...

  1. Lesbian crush?

  2. What are your views on camping?

  3. How much money have you spent on sticks you then urinate on?
    i) Oh nothing, I'll probably catch first time and then get the doctor to confirm it.
    ii) Over 100 quid
iii) I opened an account on ebay solely for the purpose of purchasing sticks

Finally, tell us how you found the BESH and why you'd like to join us pliz.

Well my first month of Clomid and the shag dictator hasn't picked up any peaks! I have been for a blood test today which will test my progestrogen (sp?) levels which I assume will show if I ovulated or not. Is this right?

The droid is due on Saturday so who knows what will happen. Chart is here. Temps are still highish but a slight drop today.

FriendofDorothy · 02/04/2012 10:46

Hmm. I have just realised that the blood test should have been done on day 21 and today is day 23. Wonder if that will make a difference?

KatAndKit · 02/04/2012 10:55

The two days shouldn't make too much difference I wouldn't think. They should still be able to confirm ovulation. For a lot of people day 21 is too early anyway. It should be 7dpo so day 21 is the "right" day if you ov on day 14.
I'm not an expert on the temping thing though.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 02/04/2012 10:58

hey dor, The bloods may be slightly lower than norm if it's a couple of days late but won't make a huge difference. Yes the progesterone level will indicate ovulation if over 30. How long is your usual cycle? About 27 days? It might be that those bloods are rather on the late side...
Looking at your chart, I don't think the temp drop is too significant...it'll depend on tomorrow's temp.
I know little about clomid or shag dictators so I'll offer the lack of peak query up to others with more knowledge...
I'm so tired :( may as well stay in bed!

CaveMum · 02/04/2012 11:53

The Clomid is, believe it or not, helping! Prior to starting on it I'd had 4 periods in the previous 16 months!

HWHNN is back on Thursday and is home for 6 days, so I'm hoping I hold out on laying an egg till then. He can come home before then if needed, but it seems like a waste of his time (and petrol!) at the moment.

Well that's great - that's what it's meant to do! :) glad that it's positive for you! Ah yes, the travelling to hit the egg challenge again! So you need to talk firmly to the egg and tell it to wait! Grin
Well I'm watching Don't tell the bride and thinking just why? I know they get the wedding paid for, but it's always control freak brides! I couldn't do it!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 02/04/2012 12:19

Hey bugs I know what you mean though I'm 30 already! I wanted a baybee by the time I was 30. I'll be past 31 before I drop now. I know that's not old it just seems out of sync with my life plan which had been going so well meet a fella about 25, marry at 27, could of years the two of us then win a baybee! At 30 MSB and I were talking about ttc and I said how it's likely to be a 2013 baybee which is tough cos we started ttc end of 2010, he corrected me - it was Christmas 2009! Shock times flies when you're ttc....
I'd like to win a baybee without any more ttc now...yup I know that's not possible

I was another thinking id have reproduced before 30. And here I am freewheeling to 34 :(

FriendofDorothy · 02/04/2012 15:06

Me too... 30 was the latest I thought I would be... I am now 36 and feeling it

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 02/04/2012 15:25

I dunno if I'm miz or bored. Not enough energy to do anything about it. So bad I find myself watching Horrible histories. I could put a dvd on. I just can't be bothered to move....

OP posts:
HaveALittleFaithBaby · 02/04/2012 17:54

I managed to move to watch Clueless two very enthusiastic thumbs up, fine holiday fun and actually cook a chilli for tea.
Now here's something interesting...MSB has rather slacked on the exercise front since Christmas. Last week he received the invite to his cousin's wedding. The prospect of seeing his family in two months has suddenly compelled him to exercise and lose weight! his grandparents are quite critical Helpful for me since I'm still motivated well will be when I can walk without looking like a penguin!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 02/04/2012 20:42

I'm a bit woe is me tonight. fed up on things being crappy. Waiting for them to turn around. but I am enjoying watching Hairspray.
Sorry for the bfn bugs :(

FriendofDorothy · 02/04/2012 22:25

Oh Cavey I get that. My colleague is due to become a grandmother in about 2 months time. She is 5 years older than me.

It took all in my power not to howl in front of her. I am more fucked off than a fucked off thing now when thinking about TTC.

Northey · 03/04/2012 07:02
CaveMum · 03/04/2012 08:04

Morning all [swigs rum]

Dor how crap about your colleague! At least my colleague is old enough to be my mum, and therefore a grandmother.

Another round of negative OPK tests this morning - CBFM and Internet cheapies, so it looks like I'm on for another screwy cycle [sigh]
On the plus side I am getting spotty (usually a sign something's going on) and there has been a bit of pant snot, so I figure it can't be too far off [laughs ironically]

FriendofDorothy · 03/04/2012 08:18

Morning all. It's my second wedding anniversary today and I don't think it will be the most romantic one ever. The Mister worked a night shift and is also on tonight so will be in bed all day and I think I will see him for about 2 hours tonight!

I nearly rode my bike to work today and I feel proud that I nearly did it. I didn't in the end though as my legs hurt too much from going to the gym last night!

FriendofDorothy · 03/04/2012 08:31

Actually I should have said, it is my second wedding anniversary and I just feel sad today because I really thought we would have a baby by now :(

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 03/04/2012 09:42

Well happy anniversary dor! I hope the couple of hours are enjoyable. It's our original anniversary too - 5 years since we got together! Can't quite believe it's been that long :) I remember before our first date maybe I'll be single for a while, maybe I'll never be single again! then telling myself not to.put so much pressure on it! Wink We'd been talking for three months online and on the phone so I knew him pretty well beforehand!
I have a nice day planned, one of my oldest friends (since senior school) is coming to visit me. Doubt I'll be up to doing much but it'll be nice to see her!

OP posts:
Northey · 03/04/2012 11:15

Happy anniversaries, faith and dor.

CD13, and I won't see AMNH till tomorrow. I know that past experience suggests I won't ovulate for weeks anyway, but I would quite like to be sechsing now in case...

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 03/04/2012 16:49

Ah, the 'just in case' sechsing, know it well. Been quiet the last few days...I know euro is keeping a lower profile. Who else is lurking in the bow of the ship?
My friend just left. I was so luffly to see her. We just sat and chatted and had some lunch. It's great when you can just pick up with old friends like that. So tired now though! Crawled back in bed!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 03/04/2012 16:54

Happy anniversary dot and faith!

I was lurking below decks, panicking about work and TTC in equal measures, so weaning myself off MN a little. Complete failure, but nevermind. I had an interesting collection of trigger shot side effects, but now into the second week they should (and have) tailed off. Oh and I drowned our possible baybee in gin, in true BESH style.

Lashings for droids, BFNs and bloody pg-ers types. It ain't fair. Good to see you are much better faith!
