If there was ever a justification for being mememe! That's unbelievable! Poor faithy, what a horrid vague way to leave you in pain. Will they let you go home with the antibiotics?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 28/03/2012 11:43

I've had a little cry and got sympathy from my nurse. Yes if it's clear the antibiotics are helping I'm going to push to be discharged by Friday at the latest, then at least I'll get the whole weekend with MSB around. Reckon I'll take next week off too if I can get a sick note.
eur you sound much more settled about your treatment plan now, I'm pleased that you are :)

OP posts:
eurochick · 28/03/2012 12:30

faith I can't believe you might just need the antibiotics you thought you needed days ago! How frustrating!

I am kind of more settled now. I am sure if IUI doesn't work, in a couple of months time I will be on here kicking myself that I have wasted that time, but hopefully I will be in a better place mentally to start the treatment.

IUI seems like the logical step because we have fine sperm/egg/tube results. Also, one of KFZK's SAs came back with a viscosity result outside the normal range (cue much joshing about him having thick sperm and them saying to one another studpidly "where are we supposed to be going again?" "I have no idea. Oooo, look at the pretty light down there, let's follow that" Etc). The other two have had normal viscosity but from what I see of it, it is all quite, er, thick. So putting the good sperm in another carrier liquid might just help. I think I've also wittered on here (or maybe another thread) about wondering whether his jizz provoked an allergic reaction in me because when we first started to dtd without barrier protection, I used to get a stinging sensation deep inside. Again, using an artificial carrier for the sperm might help with that. It's all just speculation, but it has helped me talk myself into giving it a go.

KFZK seems more comfortable with it too. I hadn't realised how upset he was by the idea of having IVF until yesterday's appointment.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 28/03/2012 12:54

Well I agree in theory that surely if everything is in working order that surely simply putting KFKZ's swimmers closer to goal gives them a fighting chance?! It's not time wasting is it, because you're doing something and you're allowing yourself time to prepare for the ivf if you need it. Ivf is an invasive procedure with an impact on your body - you need to be ready for it and not feel rushed into it.
Yes, I am very frustrated to think I maybe just needed antibiotics all along. May not even have needed the hospital bed if they'd got on top of it quickly enough...but as my ex used to say you can't live your life on ifs, buts or maybes

I like that bugs. I also read once on the cheesiest of email forwards 'if he's brought you to it, he will bring you through it' which is terms of ny Christian faith has stuck with me.
Since it's such a lovely day and MSB came to visit me, we ventured outside first time in a week for me! :) I sat on a bench and felt the sun on my face. Only for about 10 minutes til someone lit up a fag ew . Then I insisted on climbing the stairs since the ward is only on 1st floor. Nearly wore me out!

Morning Wenches! Will I've moved from chundering over the side of the ship.
Been reviewed by a new the ship's doctors. He's convinced I do have kidney stones too small to see on a scan but all my.history indicates that's what it is. Said the antibiotics won't do any harm. I can go home when the pain settles, maybe tomorrow! I feel better in myself and slept much better too. I also feel happier that he's not just going back to infection diagnosis cos with an infection diagnosed it seemed pointless me being here all this time! So generally much more upbeat now.
How are you lot?

So so. Enjoying the sun but glooming about joblessness. I loathe job centre, which is today's chore. I think I am going to stop going because I hate it so.

Northey · 29/03/2012 12:45

Oh God, I'm sorry, that was so self-centred. Hurrah and hurrah for home tomorrow! And nice kidney stone doctor. Fingers crossed he is right and that everything is mended soon now.

I am also off to the in laws, bugs. I am on CD8 and am very... moist. That was A Sign last time!

Northey · 29/03/2012 15:44

Wheeee! I've just been told I can book my driving test! I may be barren, evil and selfish, but damnit I will be able to drive a car!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 29/03/2012 15:50

Hooray Northey! Has that cheered you up a bit then? Dare I ask how you're getting on with your maneuvers?!
My pain seems more tolerable. I just feel better in myself. My sister came to visit and said I looked better too. Must help that my conjunctivitis has improved too since I got eyedrops. Maybe I look less like an extra from Twilight now?

Northey · 29/03/2012 16:28

Manoeuvres are fine, except reversing round corners, which are the devil's own work. If I pass, I shall simply never do so, even of it means going in a gigantic circle via Scotland.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 29/03/2012 16:58

I never do a proper reverse round a corner! It's not needed in real life.
Suddenly I'm starving! That's definitely a good sign. Better hurry up with dinner. Been conditioned in hospital to expect dinner at 5!

I am a genius at reverse parking!

Feeling knackered today. Still no peak on the shag dictator so have to wait until I have a blood test next week to see whether I ovulated on the quiet!

Northey · 30/03/2012 00:16

Epilating is working wonders for me at edging in what was previously something of a disaster zone, bugs. When I was at school I used to hand-pluck, hair by hair. It was very painstaking and a bit weird.

At the in laws currently. Sometimes being in his childhood home turns AMNH into someone I can't possibly sleep with... Still, I daresay I don't present my most attractive face to him when we are at my parents'.

CaveMum · 30/03/2012 07:15

Morning chaps, sorry for the absence I've been über busy (tries, and fails, to sound cool) with my assignment and work. All done now!

Had a bit of a moment last night, got my marks back for my lady assignment and they'd only given me 33% Shock. I was so upset (cried for about an hour). When I read through the comments I just got angry. They'd marked me down for going over the word limit but then criticised me for not being more in depth Hmm. There were several other inconsistencies in the marking so I'm filing a complaint. All my other work over the last 2 years has been scored in the 60s and 70s so this one stands out like a sore thumb.

Anyway, Day 11 here and I'm now pering on OPKs again. No positives yet but the sechsing will commence tonight and, hopefully, last till middle of next week.

Hope you get discharged today Faithy Grin

I recommend the afro-bikini-style... much less time consuming!

Or, plait it and tuck it in!

Northey · 30/03/2012 07:50

I really like plucking things, bugs. I once plucked both legs (knee and below only) by hand.

cavey, that's awful. I know just how you must feel and it is dreadful. Is there an option to resubmit this particular piece, by any chance?

CaveMum · 30/03/2012 08:03

I'm not sure Norf, I'm filing a complaint via my tutor (not the person who marked it) to see what she says.

On the bikini line front I'm afraid I'm quite lazy. I get the veet out around ovulation time to tempt HWHNN, but am fairly unkempt most of the time Blush. Problem is I have very thick, dark eyebrow/underarm/leg/pubic hair and it is so bloody fast growing. I've finally got my eyebrows under control after several years of threading (which promotes finer regrowth).

Not much help, sorry!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 30/03/2012 08:08

norf I gotta confess, that's a tad weird! I'm well lazy with my bikini line, I just use hair removal cream when I think it could be seen - swimming, holidays etc. Went a tad drastic last time, felt rather naked! I surprised him for our wedding course he'd not really seen down there because we didn't have the sechs before we wed and got a Brazilian. He luffed it! But it was very sore after which put me off doing it again!
cavey that does sound suss, you're right to challenge it. Sorry it's upset you so much.
Well I'm hoping to be off today. Got through the night without needing painkillers! So I know I'm better than the have been. Wait for a review this morning, they may agree to let me go home. I finally feel well enough :)

OP posts:
Northey · 30/03/2012 08:09

I share your pain on the thick, dark hair front... I used to wax (laughing holloway at the claims that it could leave you hair free for 6 weeks - I barely lasted two days before the forest was back), but I started experimenting with epilating just before Christmas and am really liking it.

Northey · 30/03/2012 08:10

Hollowly.
