Yikes. Have killed fred.

On day 4 clomid and the insomnia strikes again. I'm sure this happened around ov last month. Sigh. Maybe my menkulling about progesterone was all rubbish and I've just got insomnia. And I've got a cold. All winter, fine, get to spring and bam! Sore glands, yucky throat, sore joints etc.

Grump grump grump grump grump grump

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 24/03/2012 07:39

sink I think everyone just went to bed!
Where does day 4 of clomid put you cd wise? Sorry to hear you're coldy and not sleeping. I prescribe regular paracetamol and drinks of hot lemon and honey. Have you tried anything OTC like nytol or rescue remedy for sleep? Helped me when I have trouble sleeping.
I feel ill now. For the last few days I've had pain and fatigue. Now I feel proper ill, been sick a few times, nausea coming and going and just generally ill, like head spinning symptoms. Certainly getting worse - hope this will push docs to investigate further.

OP posts:
sinkingflameofhilarity · 24/03/2012 07:47

Hum.. Ok, that's maybe a better reason. I've been up for hours Sad, didn't realise how early it was. Blush

Cd4 clomid has me on cd5. Early doors. Am on paracetamol, but really dislike lim sip etc (to husbands horror- he loves the stuff). Can dose up now though. Thanks for the reminder.

Sorry you're feeling poo. And on a sat. Docs should be round soonish though (even if you are in the back end of nowhere gyne ward). Hope something gets sorted. It's so much easier to have an identifiable problem isn't it.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 24/03/2012 08:18

Yes I've been promised a visit from the on call team sometime today and they'll probably do more bloods. I'm on clear fluids only now but that's fine cos I'm sick when I eat.
I'm not keen on lemsip but I like to put a slice of lemon in hot water and add a teaspoon of honey. The lemon gives you vit c, the honey soothes the throat. Far cheaper too and of course you can have as many as you like, whereas because lemsip has paracetamol it's only 4 hourly.

OP posts:
sinkingflameofhilarity · 24/03/2012 08:38

My dad used to make me hot lemon cordial with honey when I was little and poorly. Remember not liking it then, but I must have been 7/8 max!

Should I keep my fingers crossed that you get to theatre today? Not sure what's better- feeling a bit better but no answers, or have an op find a prob and sort it. (of course, op but no diagnosis/no better not a great option...)

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 24/03/2012 09:10

No I feel the same! If I need the surgery, I'd rather get it over and done with, but equally don't want surgery for nothing!
Well I've managed to shower this morning so at least I feel fresher. Now I'm getting dressed in an outfit I'd normally wear out in town! MSB picked up clean clothes for me Confused better than jammies all the time I guess...

jewelsandbinoculars · 24/03/2012 10:20

gawd faithy hope they sort you out soon.

In boat news I have been up for hours. It being springlike, the birds have all got the horn and the geese have been gangbanging directly outside my bedroom window since about five am. They are neither shy nor retiring lovers, geese. And they seem to have a pretty fluid concept of consent.

Was boat a typo? If not, do tell more.
Well I've been reviewed. This doc doesn't think it's my appendix. Now on a ?renal colic ?exacerbation of ibs. Now I've lived with my ibs a long time and it's not that! It's totally different. He also queried ovulation pain because I'm cd15 - even though the problems started pre-Droid and the pain started cd2 idiot I know ovulation pain too, and this isn't it.
So he's prescribed some more meds to help with my bowels some of my drugs have a constipating effect and they'll keep monitoring me. May rescan me Monday. Just had MSB and my sister visiting which was nice but I'm shattered now. I'm feeling quite sorry for myself :(

OP posts:
Northey · 24/03/2012 20:43

How are you feeling now, faithy? What news? It's good, I suppose, that they are thinking widely about what it could be. Less good if they are not taking you seriously when you tell them that it's not ovulation pain etc.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 24/03/2012 20:54

I've had a better afternoon. Got some sleep. Had an antisickness injection which, while unpleasant to receive, did it's job and I kept dinner down :) MSB said I had more colour in my cheeks. Pain just starting up again - they're bringing me drugs in a min - but I've been pain free most of the afternoon which is great.
I've been looking at Dr Google and I think renal colic fits - the pain description, nausea and vomiting, low grade fever. Also it doesn't always show that well on ultrasound scan...reckon I'll be waiting til Monday for a review unless I deteriorate tomorrow.
What you been up to today then?

OP posts:
eurochick · 24/03/2012 21:00

Faithy I can't believe you still haven't got a diagnosis! Drs are never very good at accepting that you know your body well, are they?

I've had a nice fairly lazy day. We both caught up on sleep this morning. I am not looking forward to having an hour stolen tonight! Then we popped down to see my parents and showed them selected highlights of our (many) holiday snaps. And then we came home and KFZK made tempura prawns and squid from scratch. It was an experiment and it was awesome.

I wish this cold would cock the cock off though. It's been here for a week and a half now. I guess my superimmunity is finally conquered!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 24/03/2012 21:10

cock the cock off Grin
Honestly, although the pain and nausea are horrible, I think sometimes you feel worse with a cold! I for one am glad we're losing an hour. Getting so little sleep here, it's one less hour to get through. No starvation tomorrow either :) I think they should ct scan me Monday, I think that'll give the answer we need Wink not that I know better than the surgeon.
That sounds like a luffly day euro. Hope the cold eases off soon. I always catch one on a plane. Every time :( yuck.

OP posts:
Northey · 24/03/2012 21:15

Well done for keeping dinner down. Do they not review on Sundays? What is the treatment for renal colic?

Bad luck about cold, euro. But congratulations on KFZK's kitchen skillz.

AMNH is away all weekend (in addition to working very long weekdays). I am so lonely and miserable that I really can't bear it. Went off for a walk today and ended up in tears as I went. It's just droid woe, I know, but I feel such a fucking failure on every front.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 24/03/2012 21:27

They won't do anything til Monday anyway so I doubt they'll see me...treatment depends - assuming it's a kidney stone they can pass by themselves or they can laser them.
Droid woe is miserable. Ttc is a bitch and each Droid is a kicker reminding you of it. I prescribe Wine and chocolate.

OP posts:
Northey · 24/03/2012 21:53

Thanks for the wine and choc, faith. I will be ok after a sleep, I think. Just a bit of a crappy day. Are you thoroughly bored of hospital now?

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 24/03/2012 22:01

Yes I am. Even with free tv. MSB bought me a paper to keep me connected to the real world It was The Sun Hmm
I just want to get some sleep. Just had my drugs so hopefully I'll settle soon.

OP posts:
sinkingflameofhilarity · 25/03/2012 08:33

Sorry things still rubbish faithy.

What ever could MSB mean though? Keeping in touch with th real world? This is the real world. And you're here.

Ahem.

In other news, clocks going forward means I managed to sleep to the dizzy hour of 6am. Weak yayyy.

Northey · 25/03/2012 08:36

What is the time now, someone? I'm never sure if my phone does it automatically.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 25/03/2012 08:48

The MN time is right, I make it 8.45 north. Actually losing the hour was good for me, less night time to get through. I should have been doing the 10k this morning
Yes flamey when I talk to MSB, I feel like the only news I have is from here and t'other place

OP posts:
HaveALittleFaithBaby · 25/03/2012 08:50

Ps dreamt all this turned out to be because I was diffed :( gutted to wake up!

OP posts:
sinkingflameofhilarity · 25/03/2012 08:51

I think it's 8.50- I think the time on here is right. BBC says the same

Northey · 25/03/2012 08:54

Thank you!

Such a shame about the 10k, fee, you must be gutted. But no way can you do it in that state. Are you bed bound, or are you able to get up and wnder about a bit?

sinkingflameofhilarity · 25/03/2012 08:56

Xpost. Bad dream faith.

Sorry about 10km. If its any consolation, around here there are 5km at least twice a month, and a10km not too irregularly. Perhaps when you're better you could sign up for a belated run- don't waste all your hard fought training and sponsership!

Met up with friend yesterday. Is moving out tomorrow Sad. Stupid boys. Seems moved out for a week last year but never told us. bad friends.

Better news- lifelong friend preggers, straight off pill, had to have early scan as no idea of when conceived. And. I was delighted. Actually delighted. Didn't even want to cry. So relieved that I can be happy for people that deserve it

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 25/03/2012 09:07

Wow that's very positive of you sinky! I'm still working on that attitude.
I can move around north though I'm mostly in.bed because it's more comfortable and I'm so tired. Sit out for meals. Going to walk the shower when I've had my painkillers. Feeling ready for them now! I walk to the day room to refill my water jug a couple of times a day too I'm so rock n roll!
