Does what it says on the tin: if you're TTC or pregnant after miscarriage, this is the place for you!

Hi ostrich I'm sorry to hear about the bleeding but in your position id call epu. If its ur third mc they will send away the products of conception if you have an erpc as they can remove it all in a sterile environment. If u mc at home they rarely can use anything u catch sorry tmi. If they can send it away one thing they will test is for blood clots. Easy to test for and one of the simplist thing to correct in case of rmc ( baby aspirin 75mg from next bfp) other than that question wise I'm not sure but hope that helps a little xxx

Off for another scan myself today. Just can't accept that I've mc when I've had no pain no bleeding still have full blown symptoms and the three scans I've had have shown the sac etc to all be complete with no sign of collapse only issue being unable to find the heartbeat. Have in my head I need to know measurements exactly from last week to today so I can rest assured in my mind there had been no further growth then and only them do i feel I can go ahead with the erpc tomorrow with no doubts as I currently have Confused

Hetty any sign of ov ?

Ostrich78 · 22/05/2012 22:29

Hi MT,
How did it go at your scan? X

Good point about mc outside of hospital but I don't want to go in yet - don't want the disappointment and to go through the surgery just yet. I didn't mc naturally in the other 2 so feel I should be able to hang on till Friday.

Just reset my password so I am posting from my phone whilst in bed!

HettyTurner · 23/05/2012 22:38

Hi Mumtum thanks for asking about me. I think I did ov last week, but my cervix has been all over the place (litterally, TMI!) normall it is very low after ov, but had sore boobs and no CM so hoping I did. Due to test in 1 week if no AF by then, but have little hope as we only DTD 3 times this month, whoops. With my blighted ovum the sack and placenta grew like normal so I was still chucking up every morning until I had the mc.

ostrich sorry to hear about the bleeding, I'm hoping that it's nothing but I think you should go to EPU too x

I'm quite enjoying this forum being just the 3 of us, but I hope we get some good news here soon (Ostrich I'm hoping it's you).

Ostrich78 · 24/05/2012 12:05

Hetty - Im quite impressed that you and your cervix are so familiar with each other!

Im waiting to see the doctor at the epau, got to work this morning and started to bleed quite heavily. Scan showed a mmc. I didn't eat this morning so I might be able to have the surgery today.

MT hope you're ok xxxx

Ostrich78 · 24/05/2012 20:22

Hi ladies, just got home. Had erpc and they are doing tests on the products. I feel remarkably fine, and looking forward to getting horrendously drunk tomorrow. Im sure Ill have a hormonal crash soon though. I have an appointment on 18th July with a specialist and should have my results by then, in the mean time they have suggested I don't fall pregnant.
xx

MumTumWanted · 24/05/2012 21:04

I'm sorry ostrich glad u feeling ok at the min though hopefully you will stay upbeat Smile

had my erpc yesterday and to be honest I'm in a fair amount of pain but the pain relief they prescribed puts me straight to sleep so reluctant to take it as life goes on and still have 12 year old dd to take care of who doesn't know what's happened Confused

Ostrich78 · 24/05/2012 21:45

MT, sorry that you're in pain x hope you get some decent pain relief, at least you can take some and go to bed soon x Hope you're holding up ok, Im not working tomorrow so will be around (and checking in) if you need to talk/type x big hug x

MumTumWanted · 25/05/2012 08:41

Morning ostrich how are you this morning?

My pain seems to have subsided ( I wonder if some of it was actually a little self indulgent wallowing as dh was at home yesterday looking after me so I was able to wallow in pain and misery whereas today I have had to get on with getting up doing the horses and school run etc. ) Though I do feel shattered again now and a bit wobbly too.

Hetty when do u think u will test ???? Have everything crossed that u will be our lucky lady Smile

Ostrich78 · 25/05/2012 09:26

Glad your pain is better today MT x You have horses? Wow, hopefully they'll keep you busy along with your 12yo and dh x Im feeling unbelievably ok, no real pain just dull aching and period type feelings but Im looking forward to doing some light gardening and catching some rays! Also going out to have a couple of drinks tonight with some friends that knew.
Had real trouble sleeping last night, think I got off about 2 ish then up at 6 with my ds who is at nursery today. Maybe the power nap I had for surgery was good for me!!

Hetty - oh yes, when will you test? Fingers crossed for you, some good news is much needed I think x

Hope everyone else is well too x

MumTumWanted · 25/05/2012 15:29

Oh have fun tonight ostrich and make sure your friends take good care of u

Horses are my dd passion and I get roped in still it passes the time !

Just got my appointment letter for the rmc specialist for 3 rd July seems like so far away I'd hoped to be ttc again by then but have been told not to Sad guess it makes sense really just so frustrating Confused

Ostrich78 · 25/05/2012 17:59

Its hard, I was thinking the same - I don't want to waste time but I guess they're going to take more bloods so need you not to be preggers. Glad (in a way) that we're going through this together MT - Obviously Id rather we weren't xx hope you get to relax x and at least we don't have to worry about ttc for the next few (6 to 8) weeks, its actually taken a weight off my shoulders tbh.
Enjoy the rest of your day x

HettyTurner · 25/05/2012 22:19

Oh Ostrich and Mumtum, sorry you've both been having a hard time xx

Due to test Wednesday, not got many symptoms sore boobs every so often.

Ostrich78 · 26/05/2012 17:00

Will be checking in on Wednesday Hetty, fingers crossed that you get a bfp!!

Had a good night out and didn't feel rough this morning which was a bonus - I guess the last month of zero alcohol was v nice for my liver.

Hope you're managing to enjoy the weather MT x

HettyTurner · 28/05/2012 01:27

Right, it's flipping 1am and I was stupid and tested just before bed and.... BFP (well faint but came up stright away)

I am totally freaking out, I was shaking and everything. It's with a Boots own brand so not even a super early senitive one. I just so want it to become a real baby and and so scared that it won't be.

Going to try reading my new book to see if that helps, pray/hope/send sticky vibes please ladies x x

MumTumWanted · 28/05/2012 06:41

Oh Hetty congratulations darling xxxxxxx bring on the symptoms and the mentalling that us wonderful news xxxxxxx

Ostrich how you doing ? Hope y enjoyed your weekend

I had a very busy one thanks to my dd looking at a possible new pony and then an all day xc show on Sunday standing in an open feild stupidly with no sun cream on means I now have lovely sunglasses ran linesBlush

I'm amazed my bleeding isn't to bad at all last two mc were natural and a darn sight more gory so if this I am thankful xxx

Doc signed me off for a week after the erpc so Ive got another few days off before I have to face work which I'm grateful for

Have a good day all xxx

GrinSmileGrinSmileyay for hettys bfp !!!!!!

Ostrich78 · 28/05/2012 08:22

Congratulations Hetty!! Wishing you a very sticky bean xxx such nice news to have on a lovely sunny morning.

MT, glad its less gory for you this time round, I had erpcs everytime so no idea of the natural way. Did anyone mention testing to you? I told everyone I saw that this was my 3rd and wanted all the tests available. I also joined a recurrent mc thread on the mc board, there's a lot of brave ladies with happy outcomes and lots of testing experience x

Nice tan lines - at least you have a few days to even them up!!

Take care of yourselves x

HettyTurner · 28/05/2012 19:11

Hello lovelies, MT your weekend sounds lovely, we went to the zoo for DD 2nd birthday and it was wonderfull - although I have pink shoulders with mega strap marks to add to your sunglasses tan!

Was so stressed at work today, on serious knicker watch. Did a digi when I got home and it said pregnant! Feeling a bit more relaxed now, I am currently pregnant Smile.

MumTumWanted · 29/05/2012 22:23

Evening ladies hope you are well ??

Ostrich can you post a link to the recurrent mc thread I'm daft but I can't find it BlushConfused I'd really like some insight into the testing now. My erpc products have been sent for karotype testing which is good I think ! Maybe there will be some answers there and I've now been referred to a rmc specialist via the hospital so though it's now preventing me from ttc until we have seen the consultant I think it's great that I may get some investigation .... Just more damn waiting though for the appointment AngrySad

Enjoy your evenings Wink

Ostrich78 · 30/05/2012 18:51

Hi ladies,
hope you're well x
Hetty, how are feeling?
MT - I've no idea how to post a link but was hoping if I tell you the name you could find it? Recurrent miscarriagetesting and beyondpart 5. Its something like that.
Same for me, got to wait until 18th July for my acute gyne appointment - not sure of the difference between that and RMC?
Im actually feeling a bit of relief as the last time trying to get pregnant was such a lot of stress x least we can enjoy ourselves a but x let me know if you can't find the other thread on the mc boards x
Take care x

MumTumWanted · 31/05/2012 15:31

Thanks ostrich I did find them I may well lurk and gather testing knowledge until my appointment . I'm guessing after I get the results from the karotyping from my last erpc I may need some stupid persons layman explanation of what it means . Wink. How are you today hub? I have everything crossed u haven't had to deal with that hormone crash you suspected x

Hetty how's things??? symptom spot alert anything yet Smile still so chuffed for u Grin

I'm just trying to keep busy busy and trying not to count the days away (8 days since erpc and wondering already when af will return really I'm sooo impatient!)

So daft to but by post op bleeding drew to a close yesterday. Only need a liner last night and this morning nothing so out of curiosity I poas this morning and no surprise within seconds it came out two lines I was devastated ( wtf !!!! Only time I will feel like this !!!) means the Hcg still very high in my system to be that quick and that bold still. I was hoping I would get rid of it quickly so af can return ... I'd so like to be ' back on track ' af wise before I see the rmc so that we can erhum get started straight away Blush

HettyTurner · 31/05/2012 21:16

MT I can't believe you did a test so soon! I did one 2 weeks after my mmc and it was stil BFP - don't do one again, just let your body deal with it way too upsetting. I decided not to and I was so much more relaxed. x x

I'm doing OK less stressed at least. Not much symptom wise, just sore boobs, really sore in fact. Oh, and I gagged when I brushed my teeth this morning. Did a CB digi conception this evening and it came up 1-2 weeks which is about right, I'm 4+2, but then was so annoyed when I read it's most accurate with FMU. That's £9 wasted... All other tests locked away until next week, and we're going camping this weekend so I can't even be tempted.

I hope the waiting until you see consultant goes quickly, what about starting something new to help the time go? It really helped me; I learned to knit when I was TTC DD and waiting for 3 months at a time to see the consultant, I had knitted a baby blanket and a cardigan, hat and booties set in that time.

Ostrich78 · 31/05/2012 22:18

Evening ladies,
Hetty - glad you're stressing less x sore boobs and gagging - yay!
MT, I was considering testing too but don't think I can face a bfp either, its only been just over a week x We'll get there x
When is your appointment?

No hormone crash yet so maybe it's not going to happen. Ive booked a reflexology session for a few weeks as I find it so relaxing (I wake myself up snoring!) and its good for regulating hormones so hoping that'll help with af.
I've stopped bleeding too - last time it took 3 weeks.... I've also developed a rash all over. Anyone else had this?

Hetty - have a great time camping, hope it stays dry gore you x I really want to take my ds, I think he would love it!!!

I was out last night with my db and had a few glasses of rose and may have drunken posted! I have a vague memory but no idea where! The shame.

Take care x

HettyTurner · 05/06/2012 17:53

Did you find your drunkem post Ostrich? You should take DS camping DD loves it, she was crying today when we took the tent down. We had a lovely time, it was cold but dry and the veiw from our tent was amazing. I was looking forward to doing some good walks but I had a bit of spotting on Sunday night so thought I'd better take easy. It didn't make any difference as AF arrived this morning Sad.

I was 6 weeks today, a week more than last time. So that's 3 in a row for me. GP didn't want to count the last one and I suspect she won't want to count this one either. I just have a feeling that my hormones are wrong, so I'm going to try really hard for a referral. I have PCOS and been trying for 15 months and had 3 mc's (even if 2 were very early) so I think I have a case to be referred.

Ostrich78 · 05/06/2012 20:18

Hetty, Im so sorry to hear this.
I feel really angry that your doctor doesn't want to count either. The fact you had a bfp means nothing? Hope you get referred, if she refuses maybe you could change doctors?
We will be camping this year as we're not going anywhere else, sounds like your ds loves it! How was the weather?

Big hugs for you x

Ostrich78 · 07/06/2012 18:00

Hetty, how are you doing?

I just read my post - I meant DD!

And thankfully I didn't post anything!
