The old thread be a'full, this thread be a'new!

Does what it says on the tin: if you're TTC or pregnant after miscarriage, this is the place for you!

Hello! Please can I join you I have just left the October 2012 babies Sad. MMC last week at 13 weeks, just waiting for the bleeding to stop. Do you think I should get a BFN before starting my fertility monitor again??

Sorry Ostrich, it's a bugger isn't it.

TomboyWife · 18/03/2012 21:38

Hetty welcome to the thread, even if it's not the thread you wanted to be on. Sad We're all in the same boat here.

I'm not sure how well fertility monitors work in the immediate aftermath of a miscarriage your hormones are likely to be massively out of whack but in general it's not a bad idea to POAS after two or three weeks and make sure you get a negative. (I was still getting a faint positive after two weeks, but was negative after three.)

Oh, and sorry about the BFN Ostrich. Sad Hopefully next month is the lucky month for both of us.

Thanks ostrich very excited Bout the wedding only 6 sleeps till we fly yay which is fab news as af arrived todayAngrySad and it's nice now to be able to know one way or another and should mean lots of fun trying for a honeymoon baby and no metalling whilst I'm away so positive thoughts I guess. Sorry about your bfn we can be cycle buddies next month instead x

Hi to the other ladies how are we all today ??

MumTumWanted · 19/03/2012 16:11

And fx for u to next month to tomboy x

Ostrich78 · 20/03/2012 13:11

Thansk ladies x

Hetty so sorry to hear about your MMC, hope you're doing ok x

MumTum sorry AF arrived, at least you can have shit loads a few guilt free glasses of champagne while you're away and you get to make a honeymoon baby, ahhh. 5 more sleeps to go! Have an amazing time xx

AF still hasn't arrived which makes it 33 days since the first day of my last af (what's the short name for that?). I will test tomorrow (should wait until the weekend) if it's still not here so I've not lost all hope!

MumTumWanted · 21/03/2012 15:36

Ostrich ..... Any news yet Hmm

HettyTurner · 21/03/2012 19:52

Evening ladies, enjoying the biscuits - thanks mumtum

I got signed off work for another 10 days, and if I still feel anxious I can get signed off for more and I was offered beta blockers (which freaked me out a bit). But I was glas that I don't have to worry about going to work yet.

Does it sound normal for the bleeding and cramps to almost fade to nothing and then start again for a bit then fade again? I keep thinking it's almost finished and then cramps start and bleeding gets worse again and I have a big emotional wobble.

Ostrich, any news????

Ostrich78 · 21/03/2012 21:12

Hi Hetty

Ended up testing last night - BFN boooooooo! But still no AF so 34 days sfdolaf...... DB and I are having a romantic break in Brussels for the next few days so I'll attempt to save testing until Sunday if af still isn't here.

Hope you're doing ok and not too anxious, sounds like resting (and not working) will be good for you. You're bound to be emotional as your hormones are all over the place but I guess it's not being helped by not knowing where you are cycle wise x Did you ask the doctor about the on/off bleeding?

hugahuddy · 22/03/2012 20:31

hi there, sorry been busy on an ovulation induced sh*g fest! 2ww now and enjoying a calmer feeling as was really nervous last moth when af was due, watching carefully and obviously over sensitive about what was going on inside as was convinced i was due a bfp! trying to be nonchalant but know i'll pas before due date!!!

TomboyWife · 24/03/2012 10:58

Morning ladies, and sorry for being scarce this past week. Too much social life means too little MN time.

Ostrich sorry about the second BFN. Have fun in Brussels and hopefully you'll get some clarity when you get back.

hugahuddy good luck with the shag fest!

Still no AF for me, but I got another BFN this morning and now I'm getting really impatient for next cycle to start. I haven't been really properly regular since my MC 10 months ago, so goodness knows how long I'll have to wait.

OP posts:
hugahuddy · 24/03/2012 21:33

hello
I'm 3 dpo and feeling a bit funny in my womb but then most of my thoughts are 'do i feel funny in my womb' and this alone might be playing mind tricks, was never so 'womb focused' before this roller coaster! with 2 mmc behind us i feel like i need really strong symptoms to reassure me that my hormones are doing what they should be. am feeling a bit wonderful but that might be cos we had sunshine up north today!! last mmc in december so i'm hoping that there might still be some 'mumsyness' that can reappear quickly, does any of this make sense?!!

crap bfns, sorry to hear, i found last month when af appeared i concentrated on doing the stuff i won't do after a bfp, mountainbiking, going for motorbike licence and of course Wine! think i shouldered the dissappointment ok, although can feel me getting more and more impatient again. when i was pregnant last time i had af feeling and full on cramps, hit the gin as was fed up (only had one as was lightweight being off it for a while!) then nothing, then bfp! now i wait for more obvious sign of period.

Ostrich78 · 25/03/2012 20:25

Hi all,

Brussels was great, after being there for a few hours af decided to join us (bitch!!) though I did get an engagement ring very soon after so the disappointment didn't last long!!!!

Huga Glad your bits will get a rest now Grin, fx for the 2ww xx
I went white water rafting today - so much fun! Such a good idea to do things you can't do once pregnant.

Tomboy Booooo to the BFN x hoping af comes (if you really think she's coming?) so you can start trying again x it's so frustrating not knowing where you are.

Enjoy your Sunday evenings, I'm wiped out from today so I'll be off to bed soon.

Take care x

tedmundo · 25/03/2012 21:08

Hi please may I join in?

Finally got a bfn today after mc so am now ready to FTC again. I have a bumper pack of opks, a steely determination and a slightly nervous looking DH - ha!

I probably won't be lucky this month as I gather not everyone even ovulates the first month but if I hang out here some good luck MUST rub off hey??

Ostrich78 · 27/03/2012 20:49

Hi tedmundo,

Sorry to hear about your MC x I've heard ladies getting pregnant without having an af so you never know! Good luck x

A friend was told by her doctor that days 7, 9 and 13 were good for SWI - I guess ladies ovulate at different times but was a bit surprised at day 7... anyone else heard that or similar?

Hope everyone is well.

TomboyWife · 28/03/2012 20:57

Ostrich huge congrats on your engagement! Grin

Welcome tedmundo, sorry to hear about your mc but good to hear you're ready to try again. The first cycle after a mc is often a bit screwed up (hence the term WTF cycle), so don't stress too much if your body's a bit all over the place.

Still no AF for me. I'm pretty sure this month was a near miss or a very short-lived chemical pg, so I'm not hugely surprised I'm late. But all the same, would AF please show up so we can try again? Please? Sad

CollieandPup · 28/03/2012 22:47

Hope you remember me? From the mc and post mc ttc thread?
So lovey to know you're doing ok. I saw your post on thevother thread while back but by the time I posted you'd probably missed it. Your wedding is soon then? Soooo exciting! Good luck!

There's not so many familiar names on here anymore, but hello to everyone, sorry for your losses and I hope you all get you bfp's soon.

Is lily still on here?

Ostrich78 · 30/03/2012 09:30

Thanks Tomboy, I'm so happy!

I hope your af came x have you tried or are you trying anything like accupuncture or reflexology? I'm not sure about accupuncture but I know lots of people recommend it, I've only had a few treatments so far - it's not exactly relaxing......

Hello Collie, I think MumTum is in Barbados either married or getting married anytime now!

SWI time for me though DB/F! is out drinking tonight so maybe not the best timing..

lily06 · 10/04/2012 18:59

Hello ladies,

Sorry I've been absent for a while, decided I needed to try and occupy my mind with other things for a while (not that it worked!).

Huge congrats Ostrich that's lovely news, and so romantic while you were away too.

Mumtum I remember you from the other thread, I hope you had a lovely wedding and honeymoon, looking forward to hearing all about it.

Collie thanks for asking after me - how's life on the other side? Hope you are well.

Tomboy did AF finally arrive for you?

Welcome Tedmundo, hope this thread finds you a BFP very soon. Its usually much busier in here, perhaps its the easter holiday break.

Waves to Huga and Hetty

Nothing to report here really, got my hopes up last month but just another BFN. Due AF on Friday/Saturday, little bit of spotting today which I don't normally get, BFN though today. Will hang on til Friday now if I can before wasting another test. This is my third month on clomid, back to see the dr in May.

MumTumWanted · 16/04/2012 10:08

hi ladies , im home and battling jetlag !! collie and lily how are you both , of course i remember you ! lovely to hear fom you i hope you are both well? collie hows the little one doing ? Congrats btw .... lily did you test ? any news??

had a wonderful wedding and even better honeymoon but Sad to be back home and back to normality ( though i do have our english wedding reception this saturday for all thse that couldnt make it out to Barbados still to buy loads of stuff for, oversee decrations, set up gazebos, arrange sleeping accomodation for distant releatives and generally stressing out look forward to Grin

ostrich and tomboy sorry for your bfns, fingers crossed for next month.... but white water rafting ostrich im very envious of your bravery !

hetty tedmundo welcome im sure you will be very comfortable here Smile these ladies are lovely

as for me .... well i think we made a honeymoon baby !!!!! Grin Grin Grin i was due af the day we arrived home and needless to say as have a hopeless addiction to POAS i did when we got home and got a feint positive ! My cycles are short though ( 25 days) so the day i tested im sure i would only be 3+4 having had the 2 CP over the last year im still dubious so have left it till today when i shall be going to purchase a double pack CB digi... you know.... just in case .... cue mentalling over all the recklaess drinking eating and behaviour on holiday Blush

MumTumWanted · 16/04/2012 10:09

ostrich Huge huge congrats on the engagement !!!! How did i miss that !!!! Damn jetlag !!!!! congratulations to you both xxxx

Ostrich78 · 17/04/2012 12:28

Hi all,

Mumtum Congratulations!!!! And it would seem like another congratulations is in order too! Did you poas again? Lovely news and very exciting, hope you get over the jet lag fast so you can enjoy your 2nd wedding party.

Thanks for the congrats ladies x I'm very happy Grin. We are thinking about next Aug/Sept but of course it depends a sticky bean. WWR was so much fun.

I've been feeling very emotional recently, I really worked myself up about getting pregnant last month and when it didn't happen it was such a disappointment so I too have attempted to be laid back about it this month which seems to have worked as I'm not stressing like last month. Though I did very nearly burst into tears on the train yesterday as I'm CD 27 today (had to count the days as I'm trying not to keep track!) and was thinking if I am pregnant then I'll be worrying about mcing again Sad.

Lily fingers crossed for you Friday/Saturday x

MumTumWanted · 17/04/2012 15:29

Hi all

Thanks ostrich

I did indeed retest yesterday lunch time as soon as I'd brought the rest ( couldn't hold out to this Mornins fmu)
And got a resounding pregnant 2-3 on a cb digi was over the moon as the last cp within 2 days I went from pregnant 1-2 to not pregnant so that's mentalling reason 1 over with .....

Now it's onto waiting till I'm 6 weeks hopefully and trying to get a scan as the mc I had the bean stopped growing at 5 weeks I was none the wiser but mc naturally at 8 weeks cue mentalling now as I'm 4 + 2 I think now Smile

Ostrich78 · 19/04/2012 08:45

Congratulations on the proper BFP Mumtum!!
You have less than 2 weeks, hope the time flies x

TomboyWife · 19/04/2012 19:08

Congrats Mumtum!

Sorry I've been scarce of late. AF still hasn't arrived -- I think I simply skipped my last period. Sad It's been 2.5 years that we've been at this TTC thing, we've got nothing to show for it, I'm still not effing regular even ten months post-mc, the whole sorry situation is starting to weigh on me, and posting too much about it on MN has simply been making me worry about it more. So, I've been trying to look in on the thread every few days but not obsess too much IYSWIM.
