Congratulations tits!

mrsclaire that's terrible, don't know why they couldn't have just told you

pebs I know it doesn't help to make you feel better but I worked in a nursing home when pregnant with ds2 and caught quite a few falling grandmas x

grand welcome snd sorry for your losses, fingers crossed they can give you some info as to why it's happened x

martha do you think you can perfect that gift of yours and tell us when to dtd x

Maybe a bit tmi but since ds3 was born when I ovulate the pain has been pretty uncomfortable (tmi) I feel like I've got a stick up my bum, doesn't realy put me in the mood to do any swi. Has anyone else had similar?

I thought at first it was due to having a baby and my hip to hip csection scar, I ovulated once between ds3 and ds4, and think I'm on cycle 5 since I mc him and it doesn't seem to be getting any better.

Although I guess thinking about it I had a pretty complicated csection and it was less than a year ago so maybe it is that? X

Midgetm · 09/03/2012 19:32

Laughing at moonin catching grannies but yes I do get a weird feeling like that. Never found the words to describe it but stick up bum is a good as way as any and I agree it doesn't make me feel up for it either. It makes me feel like I want a pooh.

gran so sorry that you've been having such a hard time. An infection is just taking the piss. If it helps at all I manged to pick one up from a natural mc too, which I also thought was mother nature taking the piss. Really good news you have a referral. I am at st Marys and they are so perky an positive they scare me. Sometime it is a simple thing that reaps so much havoc in our lives. Take care and give yourself time to recover x

Moominsarescary · 09/03/2012 19:49

midge, one just launched herself forwards and I was so used to catching them! I didn't even think. Glad I'm not the only one to have the bum feeling, realy don't want to go doctors and explain that one.

MandaHugNKiss · 09/03/2012 20:12

Gosh, you've just broken a memory of when I used to participate in the long lost sporting tradition of throwing and catching Grannies I had plenty of shooting pains up my backside following my loss. I put it down to things still settling down, perhaps still kinda swollen and sure enough it did wear off eventually. Actually, if I'm completely honest I convinced myself for a while there that I had developed endo (Teddy was delivered with a clot the size of a football around him, truly astounding how big it was, and I convinced myself that blood and endometrium had probably forced its way up and out my tubes, too, and settled where it shouldn't...). But considering it settled down it was more liekly just that - settling down. I thnk we forget, sometimes, when we feel the psychological effects of a loss so acutely, that it is a physical process too. And we perhaps don't give ourselves enough time to fully physically recover.

nasara · 09/03/2012 20:23

Hi everyone. Just been peeping through the thread and it looks a cosy place (apart from the granny throwing...?!), so I'm pulling up a chair with chocolate in hand, and more to share. I had an mc 3 weeks ago, was 7 weeks along. We saw the hb at 6 weeks, so thought all was fine despite the spotting... Anyway, hoping for a sticky rainbow bubba soon.

JaffaSnaffle · 09/03/2012 20:39

grand, I am so sorry, and also for the infection which just draws it out even longer.

I am having a massive metal here today. I bought my mum some aromatherapy bubble bath from Neals Yard, and sniffed it today. One of them has juniper in, which I have since found out is banned in pregnancy, is some sort of abortificant... I rang the epu and they said it should be fine because I haven't used it, only sniffed it once. But ibam still terrified. Then they said, stress is much bigger issue and that I should calm down. Well this made me worry about my 17 week mmc. On the week the baby died, I was very stressed at one point. I have no explanation for what happened, and sometimes I think I will live my whole life casting around for things to blame myself for.

I know I am tired, I am also under a lot of pressure because we have sold our house and cannot tie up anything on the house we want, no other decent alternatives where we live ... I know I am not rational and yet I am so worried.

pebspop · 09/03/2012 21:28

Jaffa try not to worry about sniffing bubble bath I am sure it can't do any harm.

When I had my second mc at 20 weeks we had a major shock in our family and that made me think the shock and stress had caused it. The midwife who came to visit told me about all the women who were pregnant when their partners died in 9/11. I think she said there were 50 in total and they all had their babies so I don't believe stress can cause mc now.

I an feeling a bit dodgy tonight so have come to bed hope I feel better tomorrow Sad

Moominsarescary · 09/03/2012 21:31

I miss catching grannies, I worked there for 10 years

manda I think your right, I forget they say it can take a year to get back to normal after birth and I was pg for 20 weeks of that year. Not to mention the mc I had two months before getting pg with ds3. I guess my body has taken a bit of a battering.

Welcome nasara you've found a lovely group of people, hope your ok x

Jaffa I think blaming yourself comes with the territory, I constantly blame myself, stress, fil dying having a very young baby to look after and maybe I didn't concentrate enough on the new pg because of that I go for days accepting, but then I go back to blaming myself. X

Moominsarescary · 09/03/2012 21:34

And like pebs says sniffing some bubble bath is probably harmless

Also alot of hcps don't think stress causes mc, try to remember that x

TitsalinaBumSquash · 09/03/2012 23:34

Blush I went to the cinema with Dp, was really enjoying John Carter, then fell asleep! DP woke me towards the end because I was snoring! Blush

Off to Laaandan tomorrow, hopes can make the train journey without vomming! Confused

TitsalinaBumSquash · 10/03/2012 09:25

I have woken up with the worst burning pain down my legs, should I be worried? Confused

InsomniaQueen · 10/03/2012 10:49

Morning all - really need to catch up with all the mosh pit goings on.....bare with me this might be a long one!!!

Only 8 days until my due date.....can't believe I'm nearly there - after all the metalling, ups and downs I'm getting to the finish line. I'm already getting the 'any news on the baby' messages, thankfully as we didn't 'announce' its only family and close friends but I can't understand what part of 'estimated due date' people don't get. They have actually said "their getting impatient now" I could easily go 2 weeks over then how will they all cope....ha ha ha!! Grin

Huge congratulations to tits!! Soooo pleased for you - not really sure about the burning legs as I never had that. Hopefully someone else can come on and give you some reassurance!! Xx

martha hopefully your well timed SWI will pay off and yes you will need nerves of steel but you know we shall all be here to hold you back from the tests!!

moomins your ov bum pains are a new one on me - glad someone else has had it so you can feel that it isn't too odd!! Plus we don't really do TMI here....anything goes with us!! Wink

manda couldn't stop laughing about your suggestion to all head 'Up Norrf' to take a wee on marthas.....it does seem good but I think I'm sticking with my original idea of wee turning blue when you get pg - it would save us all a heck of a lot of money!!!

pebs sorry your feeling unwell - I felt like crap all of yesterday and called the mw assessment unit to make sure it wasn't a uti or anything. The mw was really nice and said I just had a "lergy" which I thought was brilliant - I always say lergy but have never heard a hcp use that term. A lot of the pg women I know have had the same thing so it might just be one of those things going round. Hope you feel better soon xx

marbles blister on your eyeball.....ok what the devil have you been up to?? Hope you feel better soon!!

blue how many working days left for you now?

tasmania how are you getting on?? Hope your still taking good care of yourself and resting where possible.

jaffa try not to worry yourself too much - easy for me to say - but really it isn't the worst thing you could do during pg and as for the stress my DH was in a war zone for 14 weeks of this and I'm a matter of days away from having this LO so I'm gonna say not to let that get to you too much. Have an ovaltine and put your feet up!!

missc how are you doing?? Counting down the hours and days I'm sure but hopefully your not feeling to stressed with it all.

tiago I know what you mean about the "this should have been me" feeling - but hopefully soon it will be you....keeping it all crossed!!

Welcome to all the newbies (there are soooo many of you) - hope you find this thread really helpful, its been amazingly comforting and a great place to rant, cry and celebrate! X

Big wave to pie, whatso, leedy and everyone else I've missed off.....bet there's loads of you - big apology!!

Still not heard anything from baby, really hoping she is ok!!

Love to all!! Xxx

JaffaSnaffle · 10/03/2012 10:51

tits, is it like a muscle cramp/ burn? I had this when pregnant with my daughter, but it only started after about 24 weeks. Someone told me to eat lots of bananas, and weirdly this helped prevent it. Not sure if this is the same thing though? Perhaps you could check with mw for advice? X

GrandPoohBah · 10/03/2012 15:09

If it's cramping, potassium (found in bananas!) should help. But try not to stress too much, just for your mental health (easier said than done, I know). I remain on the fence about stress in pregnancy, there is so much conflicting information out there. Are you doing anything fun in London, tits?

Thanks for the lovely welcome everyone.

Re: the bum pain thing - I don't think I've had that but during and after my recent MCs, I've found that whenever I bear down on the loo, or if I sit funny, it really really hurts what I think is my cervix. It eases off after a couple of weeks though, it's almost like it's bruised. Is that normal?! If you had a c-section under a year ago that might contribute though, it is major surgery after all.

So, today I am most excited as although I'm still on the WTF cycle, I had definite EWCM last night and an almost positive OPK - so DH has been getting very lucky, ruined only slightly by my greeting him last night with 'guess what?! My vaginal mucus thinks we should have sex tonight!'. I think maybe he'd just rather I seduced him or something...

TitsalinaBumSquash · 10/03/2012 16:44

I'm going to see Jack Whitehall then staying in a hotel for the night with DP, I'm feeling ok, just the crampy legs.

MandaHugNKiss · 10/03/2012 17:22

Oooh, you'll be some 5-10 mins up the road from me, then, tits - where I live is on the boarders of surrey, SW London and W London... If bananas will help your weirdy legs then I'm afraid, yes, we have no bananas. But I do have left over birthday cake from DD's celebration in Wednesday maybe that would help? Grin Enjoy the show but if you're 'standing' don't over do it, eh?

Ah, brain just refuses to get into gear today. Had very little sleep last night and need to get to the shops (DS2 turns 2 tomorrow!) but know it won't happen. Eh, not like DS2 is gonna realise anyway...so long as he gets to the park tomorrow he'll be having a whale of a time!

madaboutmadmen · 10/03/2012 17:33

Enjoy tomorrow Manda, we'll be having a party for our DS who will be 2 on Wednesday Smile

MarthasHarbour · 10/03/2012 18:06

sorry for not name checking as weekends are always really really busy for us, had a busy day with DS at the aviation platform at Manchester airport, he loved the 'big planes' then we were running round the garden like loons as the sun is out.

JaffaSnaffle · 11/03/2012 07:36

Happy Birthday, little boy! Manda, hope he has a lovely day x

InsomniaQueen · 11/03/2012 07:41

Morning all - if anyone is looking for a good laugh have a look at the 'amazon reviewers thread in discussions of the day. It made me cry with laughter and after a shitty night I damn well needed!!!

Hope everyone is well!! Xxx

PieMistress · 11/03/2012 08:18

Happy 2nd Birthday to Manda's DS today and for mad's DS on Wednesday!!

Hugs martha that is a lovely story and has warmed my heart (IYSWIM!!) X

tasmaniandevilchaser · 11/03/2012 09:51

ah martha that's such a lovely story!

manda happy birthday to your DS, hope you're all having a fun day.

thanks iq I'm up and down, making myself get up everyday, get washed, dressed and out of the house. It seems to be helping. TBH, I think more about my MMC than my ectopic, not sure why. I suppose he was more of a baby to me than the ectopic (I knew something was wrong straight away this time). I'm still worn out by it all, feeling dizzy and faint sometimes. Doc says it's normal for recovering from op and stress leading up to it, she calls it an 'emotional rollercoaster' - she's not wrong! Hope you're ok, not long now!!!

Fairygodmother1 · 11/03/2012 18:28

Hi, can I join? I MC 3 weeks ago, & already back TTC. We've been trying for almost 4 1/2 years. Had 2 suspected MC (no positive test result as hadn't tested so DR couldn't confirm, but the bleeding & pain this time tells me I have before).
One thing I have noticed is my LH evels are still showing up. Also last week between Mon & Fri I had a sharp pain on & off by my right hip. Coud it have been ovulation?
