Our last thread reached 1000 posts so i hope you have all found your way here! I have steaming hot chocolate croissants (or as my colleague said 'chocolate pasties'), blueberry muffins, grapefruit segments and hot buttered toast for brekkie!

Settle into the mosh pit, we have special VIP area's for those on the 2WW, the new bumps metalling with segregated areas for the first/second/third trimesters and the club class cocktail bar for those who have just got AF and can get-pissed let loose for the first two weeks!

Just wanted to pop in to say 'yeah' to Missc for your little coffee bean wriggling away! And again for far on your bfp and mad dash to get your injection...try to stay positive about it if you can though I know it's not easy!

project yes, the 'metalling' came from a typo of 'mentalling' a thread or so ago when one of the thread members was on hols and trying to keep in touch on their phone...it rather spiralled and now we have a full on mosh pit for head banging, 'metalling' at all stages post MC, through the WTF cycle, TTC, 2ww's and on into the stresses of early pregnancy following MC!

Must get back to work as I am determined to finish this last project well before I go off on mat leave which is requiring extra concentration as I think beany is eating my brain cells in between kick boxing sessions!!

oh far thats brilliant congrats!

i did an IC about an hour ago and reckon i got nothing, they are the work of the devil as i cant work out whether there is a faint line or if it is where the tape ends IYSWIM. I honestly reckon it is the tape but will check again in a coupla days. I reckon i am only about 8dpo anyway.

pebs the one in Altrincham is pretty handy if you work in Mcr as you can get the tram - but am sure there will be more in North Mcr.

Right am dosing up DS and sending him to nursery this afternoon, i shall then do a spot of Sainsbo's shopping followed by a Starbucks - and he WILL be fine, i WONT get a call from nursery!

Yep - 'Metalling' is a typo of Mentalling, ie getting all worked up etc etc. I forget myself sometimes and use it in RL for other things!

farfalla excellent news!! congrats!! is clexane heparin? im supposed to have heparin from 6 weeks but didnt get in for my 9week MC as they had 'misplaced' my notes so i was referred to the wrong unit

Far Woohoo! Of course it's faint at 9dpo! Nothing to worry about there. What test did you use And are your injections daily? Will DH be sticking you in the arse, so to speak? (and it's not even Friday!)

Bonz Well, your chart is ot exactly text book, is it? But if you were ill for a few days from the 17th and were waking multiple times in the night then that probably would have affected your temp. As you will no doubt know, you're supposed to take it at the same time each day and after at least 3-4 hours straight sleep.

Taking into account the limited info on your chart/no previous charts to get an idea of whata is normal for you (do you usually jump from L to P on the monitor?) cd16 looking likely but Cd22 a possibility too. I'd probably plump for 16 at this stage - more temos will be telling, of course.

martha here is hoping that line gets darker for you. I gave up on ICs for the same reason I always got sort of smudges and they annoyed me.

manda I used first response, I think they and the superdrug ones are the only ones that can really detect so early aren't they? Injections are daily and into the tummy, I will be doing them I think as DH is a bit squemish and I am not at all. They don;t half sting though! Poor DH he was sooo hugover from a big work night out and I sort of assaulted him with the test as he was coming out of the shower. He is being very cautious as am I. Praying for 3rd time lucky.

marbles clexane is indeed heparin, I made them give me the prescription pre pregnancy so I could file it straight away, how crap that they lost your notes! But at least you know what to do for next time.

glad your taking heparin from 6 weeks as well marbles i was slightly worrying then that this wouldn't work and i would have to do the mad dash like far next time!

far what is your clexane for? what are the injections like? do they really hurt?

Mine is for impaired fibrogenic response , it came up on the TEG they did at St Mary's, basically I do not break down clots quickly enough. treatment is with heparin (not aspirin, I wish!)

It was not too bad, it stung a bit for about a minute, now fine and no bruising (yet) Apparently it gets better and to be honest, I would be willing to do anything to get a baby! The injections are very easy, pre filled and sprung loaded so the tip sort of retracts back once you have finished. The nurse did it for me today though so first stab at solo stabbing tomorrow am!

sounds easy enough then. i was expecting a proper needle which would be tricky to use. do you just stick it anywhere in your tummy?

farfalla glad you have had your first dose a little tip to help it hurt a little less...in the place you are going to stab, pinch as much skin together as you can (easier if you have a belly like mine...not so much if you are really skinny though) twist it a little so its taught and inject in that area...it really does hurt less (called a Z-track manoevre) and it spreads the medication over that skin area (under the skin) and minimises stinging too

far yep i agree, once these ICs are finished i am not getting any more i honestly think it was a 'shadow' where the tape overlaps IYSWIM. Yeah it was a 'sort of a smudge'.

Well i dropped DS off at nursery and he cried and cried, they are so good though they said just to leave him and ring back in an hour. So i rang back and he was still crying. Just not like him so he is back home watching the Mr Men show and i missed out on my afternoon at Sainsbo's/Starbucks of-course the wellbeing of my PFB is more important

I am having a little metal, a sort of Bryan Adams metal rather than full out thrash, but here goes. I am in the wtf cycle so god only knows, but I thought I might have ov last Friday, ewcm, so we swi on the off chance. Now I am ill, with horrid lurgy, with achey joints and sandpaper throat. I can only cope when dosed up on paracetamol. So am I doing harm here, if, and realise it is a big if, I am pregnant?

jaffa paracetamol is fine. Current advice is that nurafen is too if only taken occasionally in first and second trimester. Though I wouldn't risk that. I've been really unwell during 2ww this cycle and last and have taken paracetamol when I had a temperature.

Jaffa oh poor you. I am also in the wtf cycle and my head is so mad i can not possibly imagine feeling physically poorly as well. Don't know about the paracetamol, i'm afraid, but just wanted to send you sympathy.

Oh and far congrats!

jaffa paracetamol is fine and actually the impact of it reducing any high temp and making you feel better can only be a good thing.

marthas post MC I also decided that I really despised using IC's, though they were still a handy pee stick to use as a pre-cursor to using an expensive one if I thought there was a line...but they are always sooo faint it's v frustrating! But then at 8dpo it's still quite early. Sorry to here your DS is ill...hope Mr Men helps!

Not sure what I'm doing on MN right now...just been asked to urgently look at something from a previous project due to management lack of communication about Client asking for some info a few weeks ago and which I can't remember where I was up to or what I was doing so think it's an obvious procrastination of the inevitable mess that this project is and which I somehow have to sort out in the next 2 hours as I am off tomorrow

martha fingers crossed. I must be the only one here who has only ever used ICs. I'm too tight for the expensive ones, yes I've only ever had faint lines but I've only ever tested early with them (BFP with mini-toe at 11DPO, BFP with coffee-bean at 12DPO) so I don't know any different! Really hope you get a proper line in the next couple of days!

I was taking paracetamol last week jaffa at the advice of these lovely ladies and everything seems fine.

I have to say I've always gone straight back to normal after MC but I'm lucky not to have had any retained products or surgery with either, and because of having examinable placentas both times I could be fairly sure none was missing. But I did conceive DD in my first WTF cycle so I can't say they're all bad!

I am in half-metal mode pretty constantly right now. Analysing each tiny little symptoms or lack of symptom and driving my DP crackers, questions like 'do you think we'll get a baby this time? 'yes' 'why?' 'FGS Coffee because there's no point in thinking we won't ' Oh and lots of musings on bumpage/lack of bumpage boobage/lack of boobage feeling sik, feeling hungry, every symptom you could possibly worry about, I'm worrying about it.

Can someone just knock me out and wake me up in a few months?

I am in a v.good mood today as they have literally just changed our maternity policy from SMP only (so 6 weeks at 90% then £125 a week) to 90% pay for 26 weeks (then SMP). That will made a huge difference as we were going to have quite a financial strain with losing my income on mat leave! One less thing to worry about!

martha I didn't get a bfp till 10 or 11dpo this time around. Fingers crossed your line gets darker :) :) Have they said what you need to do with your next bfp? Will they see you straight away because of the CPs and MC?

missc I am trying not to write weeks or anything ahead in my diary, ignorance is still bliss for me at 22w!

Just to echo everyone else's lovely words, Hooray Far that's brilliant news! You are a brave lady embarking on the injections - but as you say I think we all just do what we need to do don't we, it's what being a mummy is all about! (doing what needs to be done, not injections obviously that would be rubbish )

Well it has been such a lovely day down in these parts, you could almost believe that Spring is around the corner! It really made a difference to my mood anyway, and everyone I encountered today seemed to have a smile on their face

jaffa paracetomol is fine, and why dont you also try junior aspirin? i have that in the cupboard ready as it is one of the old wives tales that it can help thin the blood and help stop MC...

pie and blue i am not sure it was a line or even in the right place but it is early i know, they wont do anything different in my area, i am a postcode lottery victim, in that they just send you off after a MC and tell you to try again after a month... they wont even give me an early scan - i am just a number you see. i am going to get a private scan at 9 weeks next time, it is only about £75-£100 money well spent i say!

It's a shame we can't all club together for Mosh Pit scanning machine so we could take turns to have a scan whenever we bloody well liked

Of course, it seems the NW would be hogging it though!

I voluteer to train as a sonographer, and go on tour with the scanner but I bagsy not doing dildocam - someone else can train in them, please and if that person can also bake mores the better as I can't and we really need cakes when scanning, don't we?

I started bleeding again today, and getting a wierd ache in my side, called the EPAU who said just come in tomorrow as planned. So I'm assuming it's all over. Better to find out at 6 wks than 12wks. Though saw a friend today, who had loads of bleeding and cramps at 8 wks and everything was fine. But I can't get my hopes up

martha can't believe they won't give you an early scan!! Shocking! My hospital were very kind last time, several docs and nurses said come in for an early scan next time. Though it doesn't look like I'll even get that far this time.
