Thanks mini I am only going to have one embryo as it's my first cycle and I'm under 35. I am not too worried now that I know they are waiting until Monday for EC, I reckon they'd have done it on Friday if they were really worried! Not sure what the levels are? They didn't give me any other info. So for now am gratefully counting down the days until my self-injections are finished!

bugsylugs · 25/04/2012 23:26

Badger great numbers good advice keep drinking that water
Sunnyg good news how has it gone? The clinic like yours advises you can go back to work after. I had more than a week off had kept lots of leave. I got a bit superstitious as 3 rl friends had successful IVF after resting for the week!!! 1 had had 3 failed attempts previously and another 1 both with returning directly to work next day. Gosh don't we do mad things?

EllieMcBellie · 26/04/2012 11:25

Eeeek just had my protocol through the post!! So will hopefully be stepping back on the roller coaster in around 4 weeks time :o

BadgerFace · 26/04/2012 14:20

That's exciting Ellie, what will you be on?

Scrummybumb · 26/04/2012 19:34

Hi everyone calling from the corner of my sofa.

All good here. Have had quite a bit of spotting and even a slight bleed on Tuesday which they have assured me is normal and I'm told could be implantation bleeding so feeling carefully positive.
Work hasn't been too demanding which is good, allowing me to rest. My clinic advises you to take the week after ET off. They made it very clear to me that even if I was working from home, I should take it easy. So I got DH to get me a breakfast tray to place my laptop on so I can work with my feet up Grin

Good luck to sunnyg Badger and ellie and waves to everybody else

Scrummy best wishes to you, stay calm.

Bugsy just rest if you can, I am not sure what works! IF you can take time off, I would, just to give yourself the best chance.

Sunnyg I am not sure what works, I had time off and it didn?t work for me but to be honest as I said to Bugsy - IF you can take time off, I would, just to give yourself the best chance.

Maplecake how are you doing?

Pocket I quite like the Zita West one. I wanted to write my own, but never got round to it. How about imaginig impplanbtation, reading up on teh Internet or in a book what happens and then talking yourself through it. When you said meditating do you think a religious type meditation would be good for you? Mediating on the words of Psalm 139, especially verses 13-16.

Psalm 139
The Message (MSG)
A David Psalm
1-6 GOD, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand.
I'm an open book to you;
even from a distance, you know what I'm thinking.
You know when I leave and when I get back;
I'm never out of your sight.
You know everything I'm going to say
before I start the first sentence.
I look behind me and you're there,
then up ahead and you're there, too?
your reassuring presence, coming and going.
This is too much, too wonderful?
I can't take it all in!

7-12 Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit?
to be out of your sight?
If I climb to the sky, you're there!
If I go underground, you're there!
If I flew on morning's wings
to the far western horizon,
You'd find me in a minute?
you're already there waiting!
Then I said to myself, "Oh, he even sees me in the dark!
At night I'm immersed in the light!"
It's a fact: darkness isn't dark to you;
night and day, darkness and light, they're all the same to you.

13-16 Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother's womb.
I thank you, High God?you're breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration?what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I'd even lived one day.

17-22 Your thoughts?how rare, how beautiful!
God, I'll never comprehend them!
I couldn't even begin to count them?
any more than I could count the sand of the sea.
Oh, let me rise in the morning and live always with you!
And please, God, do away with wickedness for good!
And you murderers?out of here!?
all the men and women who belittle you, God,
infatuated with cheap god-imitations.
See how I hate those who hate you, God,
see how I loathe all this godless arrogance;
I hate it with pure, unadulterated hatred.
Your enemies are my enemies!

23-24 Investigate my life, O God,
find out everything about me;
Cross-examine and test me,
get a clear picture of what I'm about;
See for yourself whether I've done anything wrong?
then guide me on the road to eternal life.

Hugs to you all.

Am I mad, just named my tomato plant Cassia!

Scrummybumb · 27/04/2012 07:38

Apologies, pocket meant to share my CD details with you. It's Maggie Howell i listen to. I find that it really works. I used to listed to it on my way to the clinic in the mornings on the train and now start my days with it. www.natalhypnotherapy.co.uk

Oh and badger my clinic also advises you to drink up to 3 litres of water and make sure you keep your protein intake high after EC to avoid OHSS. You may feel bloated after EC anyway and that can be normal, but it's the nausea and vomiting that are the signs that really say something could be wrong. In any case, you should not hesitate to contact your clinic if you are at all concerned as it really can be quite serious. And well done on getting such a good number! I hope you get to have a restful weekend

italian thanks for your wishes and thank you for sharing the psalms. I love that you have called your tomato plant Cassie - i hope she brings many fruits for you all!

Sorry to have kept you waiting girls, but I hope it's been worth it when I say it's a BFP! We're a bit shell shocked and I'm sure it's going to take some time to sink in, not to mention the worry that's going to kick in. But for now, we're very happy.

In true ARGC style, I'll be back for bloods tomorrow morning so no rest for the wicked Grin

Thank you for all your support and well wishes!
