Filled up our old one, I'll put our updated list on a separate post so that it's not a huge chunk of text at the top of every page.

Old thread here. Newbies always welcome, much as we'd like to hope nobody ever gets to this stage of TTC!

CONGRATULATIONS fatima. It really happened for you. So happy. What a fantastic birthday present.

Sorry everyone else is feeling a bit Sad so sorry about the stupid fibriodal shit wine. I really hope they can fix stuff up in the next lap and you will have a perfectly formed uterus again. So sorry for the crap meanwhile.

I am having work-stress and pre-IUI nerves. So not overly happy either. But very pleased for fatima all the same. I love hardwon pgs! Can we squeeze any more in, in this thread?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 14/03/2012 10:07

Quick well done for surving night 1 with friends+baby and good luck with the next few mrsd!

MuddyWellyNelly · 14/03/2012 10:34

Oooh fatima that is amazing GrinGrinGrin. I think we've had 4 BFPs now on this thread. Hurrah!

Nearly had an awful awful moment. Yesterday I called an IVF clinic and left a message. Today I had a voicemail on my phone, had a hunch it was the clinic calling back. I played it. Heard "hi this is a message for...." and realised it was on speakerphone!!! The whole office could hear Shock. I was frantically stabbing at my phone trying to get it off speakerphone before she said IVF etc..., which she did. About a nanosecond after I'd managed to shut it up. My whole office, including my two immediate line managers, very very nearly heard that I was calling an IVF clinic BlushHmmGrin

I'm still shaking!!

Will post properly later.

Happy birthday and happy BFP day fatima. Wow that is fantastic news. Congratulations, so pleased for you!

wine I am so sorry that you still don't have the answers you want and are facing more investigations. It really is rubbish and I feel for you. I echo what others have said about you always being such a support on here and wish that I could reciprocate your kindness and try and make you feel better. Sending you lots of love. X

ladygee · 14/03/2012 10:54

Wow fatima massive congratulations!! That is amazing news - and on your birthday too, perfect. Happy happy birthday!

Freedom ? I?m so sorry you?re feeling this way, though you are most definitely not alone. Anniversaries are the hardest. It sounds like it?s definitely time to go back to your GP.

Nelly ? Shock at your near disaster with the answer phone!

Sounds sensible to get all the tests you can on the NHS and then get the actual treatment privately. I don?t have any experience as to whether private clinics accept NHS tests but I?m sure I?ve heard others say they do as long as they?re fairly recent. Might be worth asking though.

Joycep ? the HFEA do seem to dismiss the immunes stuff out of hand, don?t they? But I know a couple of friends of friends who have had treatment and then had successful IVF cycles so experience would suggest there?s something in it. I guess you could go on forever and it literally might just be down to the fact that it?s not our time quite yet though God only knows when it will be

Gin ? I?m now racking my brains as to where you might work! I?d still be very much up for getting together. On the IVF list, I know it might feel like a waste of time but it might still be worth seeing what the NHS says. You never know funding might get opened back up again.

Wine ? I?m so very sorry, I can?t believe things are still unresolved for you. More tests and ops are not what you needed to hear and I wish that they had been able to give you some kind of diagnosis. Huge hugs to you, we are all here for you. Others have already said things more eloquently than I can but you have been a real rock for everyone on here so I hope we can offer the same support to you.

Mrsd ? glad you were able to survive the first night with baby and friends!

Waves to lemon too!

Day 3 at work for me and it looks like the company might be about to go under... welcome back hey?

minipie · 14/03/2012 11:23

No time for a long post but just to say

oooh CONGRATULATIONS to Fatima! and what a fab birthday present. So pleased for you.

wine so sorry to hear your lump is still a mystery. how confusing for you. I really hope all these procedures make some progress. Sending you a really big hug.

mrsden Grin at "cute but cries a lot". Despite all my broodiness I still find I like other people's babies in very small doses only. Enjoy the unbroken sleep when they leave!

Nelly well done at avoiding Voicemail Disaster! I am thinking along the same lines as you - try to get all the tests done on NHS and then off to private IVF. (NHS IVF waiting list is 2 years in my borough )

joyce Shock at your ex boyfriend's email. WTF??

pout glad to hear of your productive hospital appointment. I have my first hosp appt next week and hope I get someone like that!

Gin hope your scan goes well on Fri.

Lemon I think you should test given the X ray. being nosy, what is it that makes you nervous about the IUI?

sorry not to name check but hello to everyone.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 14/03/2012 11:46

Still lurking and spotted fatima's news....

Congratulations and a very Happy Birthday!!!!

x

Pixiepops · 14/03/2012 11:52

I'm lurking too Grin Congratulations Fatima! You too, Izzy! Such lovely news.

minipie · 14/03/2012 12:45

freedom

just wondered, have you had tests for PCOS and thyroid function and have you tried Clomid?

izzybizzybuzzybees · 14/03/2012 12:51

Thanks pixie still on shock! Have first midwife appt tomorrow and got a scan next week to see how many are in there! [Grin]

Pixiepops · 14/03/2012 12:58

Hope the appointment goes well tomorrow Izzy. I had mine last week. I've got another 2 weeks to wait until the scan though as in spite of my repeated reminders to midwife & consultant's secretary about the increased liklihood of multiples from clomid, it seems that no-one (but me) is that bothered. I guess I'll find out in a fortnight though! [eek]

Apologies for the hijack, ladies. As you were Grin

MuddyWellyNelly · 14/03/2012 13:16

Oooh for a minute there, I thought this was a common-or-garden Fertile thread! Suddenly lots of chat about scans and multiples all within a few posts Wink. It's nice to hear as its a reminder it could be us soon one day. Hello izzy and pixie

On that note, though, I appear to be spotting. Meh.

Gag ladygee fingers crossed for your company, and your job. Not what you needed after the last few weeks.

Grin at mrsden and the crying baby! Hooray for sleep Wink

Gag?? Should be Gah but even that makes no real sense, so pretend I typed Boo or somethingHmm

joycep · 14/03/2012 13:22

Fatima* - massive congratulations and happy birthday!! Do yuo feel pregnant or did you test thinking it was going to be a negative? And also am i right in remembering you had that grisly conversation with a nurse last year who told you you would never get pregnant or have children...was that you:? If so, two fingers to her!

nelly - i had exactly the same thing yesterday! I pressed play on a voicemail and it played it on speakerphone to the whole silent office ? ?hi this is John from the CRGH? as soon i managed to get it off speaker he mentioned the fertility open day that i have signed up for. I was shaking for a good 15 mins after. Thank god you got it off speaker before ivf was mentioned. Damned iphones.

lemon - i am sorry you are having pre iui nerves but i was utterly surprised how painless the process was. It is undignified yes but i just found it a lot easier than swi Grin. You ?ll be fine.

lady - the argc who are one of the few clinics to treat immunes alongside ivf apparently just know it works for their patients and don?t care to prove themselves to the hfea.

Hi to everyone else.

minipie · 14/03/2012 13:23

Meh and gah to spotting nelly.

And argh to your company's situation ladyg. eek. hope it's a false alarm.

whatmess · 14/03/2012 15:38

sneaking in while the guests have gone for a walk to say massive congratulations fatima. I should tell you off for testing early, but won't because it's such wonderful news.

And massive congratulations to you too biscuits. Sorry, I can't remember if you already have a DD or DS? Tell us all about Ethan (lovely name!). How was the birth? And waves to pixie and izzy. How are you both? I can't stand to hear pregnancy stuff in RL but with those of us on this thread it's different so please continue posting because I find pregnancy, birth etc fascinating.
