Filled up our old one, I'll put our updated list on a separate post so that it's not a huge chunk of text at the top of every page.

Old thread here. Newbies always welcome, much as we'd like to hope nobody ever gets to this stage of TTC!

Just a wee update what do you think?

MuddyWellyNelly · 02/03/2012 21:46

What do I think? I think .... you are pregnant Grin

OP posts:
FatimaLovesBread · 02/03/2012 21:54

Definitely pregnant!! Congratulations izzy

izzybizzybuzzybees · 02/03/2012 21:55

I know!! Can't believe it you should see me and DH just now...sitting with massive grins on! I just took a digi and got a magic "PREGNANT 1-2"

I'm in Shock

Biscuitsandtea · 02/03/2012 22:00

Yay!! GrinGrin congratulations Izzy Grin

MuddyWellyNelly · 02/03/2012 22:01

Well if it's in writing, it must be true!!!

Wowee I really made a fertile thread

OP posts:
lisacn · 02/03/2012 22:05

izzy a big congrats to you :)

eurochick · 02/03/2012 22:53

Yay, izzy. You are most definitely pregnant!

fatima that's a great number. Woo hoo!

poutintrout · 03/03/2012 09:57

Wow izzy that is definitely one big fat pink line Grin So happy for you. Congratulations!

fatima That's a lot of eggs. Do we have an egg envy smiley!!!! Hope that you are okay today and that your sofa is drying out nicely!

cakes82 · 03/03/2012 10:32

Congratulations Izzy
Brilliant news Fatima

ladygee · 03/03/2012 10:36

Amazing izzy! There's no mistaking that line Grin . Huge congratulations - so very pleased for you.

And fatima wow, that's a whopping egg count! Fantastic. No wonder you were so uncomfortable, hope things feel a bit better this morning.

What a great start to the weekend!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 03/03/2012 10:37

Thanks everyone! I'm still in shock and starting to panic slightly as it was only 11dpo and line was quite good after peeing loads during the day etc and taking the test late in the evening...multiples?!! Shock

MuddyWellyNelly · 03/03/2012 10:57

Izzy Grin. From one extreme to the other! But then you really will have us doing this >>>>Envy as its clearly the dream of the 10+ers to get all our TTC troubles dealt with in one go Wink

That is a great result fatima. C'mon little eggies, fertilise Smile

Anymore spotting ladygee? Fingers firmly crossed for a no! Oh and thanks for the explanation on your 10 day LP, yes that now makes total sense.

Shagging continues in the Nelly house. Should have done it last night but Mr Nelly fell asleep pretty quick and I'm past the point of obsessing about timing. This morning will have to be good enough. We even did a non-TTC recommended girl on top Grin and I didn't once consider suggesting we switch to more baby friendly positions

OP posts:
izzybizzybuzzybees · 03/03/2012 11:16

I know nelly i'm actually nuts aren't I?!! Grin

Glad you managed some swi....i dont think it matters position wise etc as they get deposited very near cervix unless anyones poor DH is an unfortunate size Grin so the wee swimmers can swim from there!

MuddyWellyNelly · 03/03/2012 12:34

Yes, completely nuts Wink

I may have made that up then, about positions. I just thought maybe asking them to defy gravity was a little unfair Grin

OP posts:
eurochick · 03/03/2012 13:39

Nelly I always think the same and wonder whether it is worth wrestling Mr euro into a more gravity-friendly position for the finale!

FatimaLovesBread · 03/03/2012 14:17

Happy weekend! Seems this is a very fertile thread Grin

Fertilisation went well. Out of my 13 eggs, 10 were ok for fertilisation. And of them 10, 8 fertilised so we're v happy with that!
They've booked us in for ET Monday afternoon but will ring us on Monday morning to confirm or move till Wednesday.

I'm still in a bit of pain and uncomfortable but it's better than last night. Just finishing season one of gossip girl then I'm going to go to my sisters in my PJs to watch pointless and she's cooking for us Smile

MuddyWellyNelly · 03/03/2012 14:30

Fingers crossed for plenty quality embies and maybe some frosties too fatima

I have a feeling mr nelly would figure it out euro. He swears he hasn't been reading up, but I've noticed lots of deep penetration positions lately, I'm convinced they are chosen specifically! So once in a while I'll let him laze about on his back whilst I do some of the work Grin

It all seems rather fruitless from an Operation Baby point of view, but at least our sex life is still fun Smile

OP posts:
izzybizzybuzzybees · 03/03/2012 15:58

We did a dew things differently this cycle, thought id mention them.

I had heard clomid can thin lining and also reduce cm so i took baby aspirin from cd1 as its supposed to help lining. We also used preseed when we BD this month. BDing was quick as my back is still bothersome and i had my legs on DH shoulders at the crucial moment for fear of way TMI. I'm now dreading telling my work as i think it looks so bad being off sick and returning up the duff! But we honestly had the hardly any sex it was obviously just timed well with the clomid! Screws up my MRI plan tho!

GinSoaked · 03/03/2012 22:57

Lines, definitely lines izzy, congratulations!! That's such fab news, I'm really pleased for you! And yay another long term ttc pregnancy Grin

ladyg and fatima the in-laws are in Bradford. Is that near you guys?! fatima that's a great no. of eggs and fab so many have fertilised. Good luck for ET. And I'm loving the gossip girl medicine. Whenever I'm sick, I catch up with some episodes. Their pretty clothes and faces make me feel better!

ladyg Have you still managed to resist peeing on a stick?! Is Monday blood test day? Lots and lots of good luck!

Hi to everyone else and hope you're all having nice weekends.

We've continued our tour of ivf clinics, visiting Borne Hall in Cambridgeshire today. Wow, what a setting! It's basically a manor house in the middle of the countryside! And they gave us cake. I really liked it but it's not very convenient and they don't do mild ivf. However if the first mild round doesn't work, I'd like to do an egg share round there, if they'd have me as a donor. Now feel better for having a sort of back up plan!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 03/03/2012 23:16

Thanks Gin it hasnt really sunk in yet!!

Your plan sounds good :)

whatmess · 04/03/2012 08:05

Hi ladies, Great news Izzy Grin, Congratulations. Interesting what you say about the aspirin, the preseed and erm the other Blush. Very much worth noting.

That is a lot of eggs Fatima. I'm glad it's going well and wish you lots of luck.

Well, I've one day left of praying AF does not show up. So far so good, although I've had cramps for days now and they seem to have intensified overnight. The consultant will only go ahead if AF isn't heavy, so lots of praying that it doesn't start today. At 50 days since the last AF it can't be anything but heavy.

Read through all the leaflets the nurse gave me last week, including the bit which said abstain for a month prior to operation. Much good that bit of information is 6 days before the operation.

Well, might be a bit quiet for a while, more so than usual Smile. But will be reading and hopefully will have time to check in now and then. DH is off on a work trip next week. So I will have my hands full with dd.

kittysaysmiaow · 04/03/2012 12:24

Hello everyone, happy Sunday.

izzy you must be so excited! Did you get any 2WW symptoms of note? That's interesting about the pre-seed, we used it a while ago but as it didn't make any difference I put it to the back of the drawer with all the other TTC crap

whatmess fingers crossed ERTD stays away for another day. And if so very good luck for the op.

fatima brilliant news about all those eggies, not surprising you're a bit sore. I'm sure your embies are growing nicely. And your donor must be thrilled too, how lovely.

mrsd I hope your head is better!

nelly your sex life is fun???? Eh? Wink

gin the tour of the clinics sounds interesting, and posh. A bit different to the ones in Manchester! I guess in reality you need it to be convenient though. But it sounds like you've got a very good plan in place anyway.

ladygee are you still testing tomorrow? So much good luck, I'll be thinking of you.

Not much to report from the kitty household, just commencing week 2 of the 2WW so I will be listening to lots of relaxation downloads to try and get through the week without too much mentalling. Need to return the nosy questionnaire to the IVF clinic this week. Actually I'm going to have a lot on at work so hopefully that will provide some distraction. Hmm

Very excited at the prospect of a potential meet up with other 10+ers. I have to say that meeting lovely wine was very unscary, and I am quite a reserved person. It would be great if we could do something while you are over, mrsd. I'm happy to travel anywhere really, London would be fine.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 04/03/2012 13:35

Hi kitty i havent really had any symptoms at all. I am still only 13dpo though. My boobs are slightly tender but only when i prod them and i have felt that i have been peeing a lot more but thats not that unusual for me as i have an overactive bladder.

I didnt really think we needed preseed but alot of people on fertilityfriend had said that CM is very dry on clomid so i bought some and thought what the heck?!

I feel like my period is going to arrive any minute which concerns me. I will phone fertility clinic tomorrow as Im sure when we seen Dr last she had said if we did conceive they like to do an early scan to check for multiples!

I already have a GP appointment for Wed so will tell them then. I will also have to let my consultant at the mother and baby unit know as they will keep a close eye on me and provide prophylactic medication for immediately post birth which is forever away

A few friends have had miscarriages lately and with that in mind i'm so so scared!

lady good luck with the tests!

mrsden · 04/03/2012 15:40

wow, izzy that is a really strong line. Congratulations Grin. Did you have a follicle tracking scan, do you know how many eggs were released? How would you feel about multiples? I think it goes to show that clomid does work really well for women with problems re. ovulation. My gynae said that ovulation problems were the easiest to fix.

fatima what a fantastic number of eggs, well done. It's so lovely to think that you and another couple will have been so happy at the result. Do you know anything about the donor recipient? Does she know anything about you?

kitty my head is better, thanks for asking. I think it was just one of those stress head things. Had a busy day at work and didn't drink or eat enough. I'm loving the sound of a meet up. How would we organise it? London would work for me because I'll be staying in the south east. I'm guessing a weekend (sat?) might be best but I only really have one weekend free.

gin your plans sounds good. I think it always feel better once a plan is sorted.

euro I'm going to respond to your ivf thread in a mo.

mess I'm praying for you too that AF stays away.

Shock that you still have fun nelly Wink
