I've gone right back to my last epic post to catch up properly. I've missed a lot over the weekend!
bean I like your covert operations, did your DH notice the decaff? You've made me wonder which technique we should follow for shag week. Abstain for 5 days pre-ov, then SWI? Or SWI every other day for the whole cycle, (and keep it up between cycles)? Our motility and count were low, but not disastrous, so I don't really know. DH does tend to abstain himself most of the time we're not SWI. That's 2-3 weeks of infrequent SFF every month, could that cause SA issues?
Smegs so sorry AF has turned up, and that your PC is infected too! Can you not take it to a specialist to get it fixed? I know a bit about viruses, but not nearly enough to help from here. An expert may cost a bit of money, but if you really are in danger of losing your photos then it will be worth it?
People sometimes forget just how much of their life is stored on their computer. I recommend google or amazon storage for important things. Very cheap, and off site. I use google storage and Picasa, upload all my photos online privately, then I know they're safe, I can access them anywhere, and I have more room on my computer. I pay $5 a year for 20GB of fast, secure, and safe space with google.
Whim glad the kids are ok with moving to DC. Do you think they might get a bit worried nearer the time? I'm not sure how old they are, but I can imagine it might be a fun adventure right up until it becomes reality. What are your plans for DC? Will you be working out there? I love the scarflet! The yarn is lovely too. Could you donate your fabric to family or friends? or a charity shop as last resort? You can't just get rid of all that lovely fabric.
Sweetie I hope your day with the kids went well, it's a great age range - old enough to be fun but still cute. Heh, I love kids at all ages. My temperatures rarely jump around, however everyone's different. Generally you're looking for a sustained rise to show ovulation, so if they jump up and down all the time it shouldn't confuse FF - as long as once ov happens your temps are generally higher than before. You do have to take your temp as soon as you wake up though, post snooze is too late. I've perfected the art of taking them while still basically asleep though :)
Olives I hope you've managed to catch up on some sleep and feel less grumpy. I've never worked night shifts, but my mother and step father both do, and hate it! It makes me wonder about my intention on re-training to be a midwife, I think the positives of the job would out weigh the negatives though. Fingers crossed..
Popcorn I'm glad your DH has taken an interest, and love shag week being on the calendar.. I'm imagining just that, written in caps across the week :)
Beedle my temps are usually similar to yours, at least my pre-ov temp always has been 36.5 until this month. I never get up to 37 though, unless I temp fanjolly.
Maybe oh no, I hope you feel better soon. I've got a little bit of a cold, but have got over very lightly. I feel fine, just have annoying blocked nose and sneezing. Don't even think about working out later to burn off that cupcake! Being ill burns calories, it takes work to fight off the nasties (totally made that up, but it makes sense?) You shouldn't be working either, you're sick, rest and get better!
Generic glad you're feeling better!
cakes did you temp this cycle, or do OPKs? If your cycle is irregular you may find temping a better way to track things. I'm not sure how it works for ladies with long cycles, do you just ov late and have a similar LP each cycle? If you have 18 days of high temps after ov, then you're most likely pg. If it drops before then, you probably are not. Don't know if that would help? Keeping fingers crossed though, and brooking that this is your month!
The UK is apparently set for snow/rain over the next couple of days. At least so I've been told. Not much news from me really, I've got a bit of a cold, but nothing worth getting any sympathy over. I was intending on letting the in-laws know about our tic trouble this weekend, but couldn't find an appropriate moment. It's just not something you can drop into casual conversation while walking round a museum! I might chicken out and just send an email.. CD12 here, temps closer to normal again, so I think it was just the cold weather. I did my first wii fit last night in a while, I actually got sweaty and hot from doing it, and I started out freezing wearing a jumper with the fire on! Just have to keep it up now, and go back to swimming now AF is gone (and so are my other lame excuses).
