Oh Sweetie good luck!! What is it with boys and their toys? When we got the puppy, DH wanted to but lego for him to play with Grin

If you had a few drinks last night, that could be why. Though mine jumped from 97.9 to 98.14 the other day for no reason at all Hmm

whimsicalname · 21/01/2012 11:37

Morning all
Maybe, I'm just about to upload a photo of the scarflet I knitted from your pattern. I think it would have worked better in a plainer yarn, but I had a couple of balls of stripey sock wool spare. Note to self: must stop buying stripey sock wool.

It'll be in my photos some time soonish. Knowing my computer, it won't be imminent though.

Have a good day everyone. I'm just catching up on personal admin and sorting out my fabric cupboard, as apparently it's unreasonable to want to take 20 years of accumulated fabric to DC.

ScrambledSmegs · 21/01/2012 14:15

Afternoon everyone.

Stasi I too am a bit in the dark on temping, despite doing it religiously. I doubt it will have been affected by the vitamins this early though, it's more likely to be external factors like being colder in bed, or maybe being ill - which could tie in with thyroid function.

Pop that sounds promising! How many DPO are you?

Sweetie hope you're having a lovely day, and that the dog is enjoying all the extra attention! My temperature doesn't normally get that high to be honest - I take it as soon as I wake and I'm normally around the 97.10-.20 range post ovulation. If I've been awake for a while, even if not moving, it does tend to be around the 97.50-.70 range (which makes the fanjometer bleep like crazy). Are you taking your temp as soon as you wake?

Maybe your temps seem really high to me too. Do I have very low temps? Or is it just another example of how we're all different?

whimiscal your scarflet looks lovely! You're all so talented. I can just about cast on and off, let alone follow an actual pattern. I bought Stitch n' Bitch a while ago and it really helped my knitting improve a lot (I can't bear normal knitting books, they bore me) but I prefer to read a good book tbh.

ScrambledSmegs · 21/01/2012 14:18

Oh yeah - and I'm 5dpo and all is normal. Apart from the fact that I am boiling and woke about 100 times in the night only slightly exaggerating and am therefore shattered. Sadly I think both can be explained by the fact that our boiler is malfunctioning!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 21/01/2012 16:36

Whim it looks b-e-a-utiful! I used stripey sock yarn to make mine too!

Stasi I think I am generally quite a warm person anyway. DH always says I am like a radiator! I love knitting. I love sock pattern books, but in general, I get all my other patterns off of Ravelry.

Smegs hight temps are good no?!

GreenOlives · 21/01/2012 18:04

Hello lovelies!
I am officially grumpy after a crap days sleep. Work was full of numpties last night as well which doesn't help with my general mood! Am also slightly concerned that my miserable state could be PMT Sad I'm 11dpo, still have sore (o) (o) but have started to get some crampy abdo pains so I fear AF may be around the corner Sad Sorry for Eeyore moment. Will return once nights are over filled with renewed optimism

Big waves xx

Smegs I don't think I am taking my temps early enough, I had done a couple of snoozes on the alarm and waited for DH to go in shower. Tomorrow I will do it on first alarm and see how I get on. Thanks for the advice.

Whims Sad at the loss of the 20 year old fabric collection.

Olives hope you are ok and the night shifts are nearly over. When is AF not due?

Froot my DH subjects me to footy in return for shows he doesn't like, although on the whole I prefer my Kindle to TV anyway apart from no likey, no lighty Wink

Am going to make a start on the Zita West book today so I will keep you all informed if anything of interest crops up.

ScrambledSmegs · 22/01/2012 09:39

Morning. Sweetie I'm --amazed and* really pleased that I was helpful on your temps. Everyone's different though so please don't worry too much about your temps.

Olives I hope your day got better. Shift work must be a nightmare, feeling like you're sleeping at the 'wrong' time of day.

My temps dipped a bit today. 6dpo . Too early for implantation. Probably AF then. I'm getting a bit tired of my body acting broken Sad.

ScrambledSmegs · 22/01/2012 09:39

Oops strikeout fail ! I can do it really.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/01/2012 10:52

Smegs you never know, it could just be a funny temp. Mine dipped today too, even though I had a few glasses of wine last night, and took it later than usual Hmm Do you think my temps are weirdly high then? I take them as soon as I wake.

Froot I am lucky that my DH likes OBEM, though I am subjected to endless amounts of Top Gear. I have actually seen every episode at least twice! Our pup also likes eating my sewing pins [bad, bad dog owner emoticon]

Olives hope you get a better sleep today and feel a bit more rested.

Sweetie enjoy your Zita

ScrambledSmegs · 22/01/2012 11:04

Maybe I think your temps are completely normal. Mine are on the low side I think. Apparently most women have temps between 96 & 98 pre-ov, and 97-99 post-ov. Hope I didn't worry you. x

PopcornMouse · 22/01/2012 13:51

It dipped on 5dpo maybe (so a bit early tbh) - back up today!

Gosh all this farenheit talk is making my head hurt! But a bit of fluxuation is normal ime.

Had a total meltdown this morning. DH thinks I'm being ridiculous, but once I'd stopped blubbing over my plate of scrambled eggs he asked me questions about ovulation and stuff and was surprised to know my eggs only last 24 hours and my fertile window's a matter of days each month. He's had me write next month's fertile week on the calendar ? and it turns out he's got a relative staying over, but he reckons we can discreetly work around it ;) Blush

GreenOlives · 22/01/2012 15:19

Nights are over Grin And I'm not back to work until Wednesday! And I had 5 hours sleep today and will be tucked up for at least 8 hours tonight - hooray! Grumpy Olives has left the building Smile

Sweetie AF is not due on Tues/Weds next week. Still have crampy pains at mo. How is Zita West going?

Smegs Hopefully the temp drop is just a blip - you're NOT broken! Is 6dpo too early for implantation??

I don't know about you Maybe but I pretend that I am enduring Top Gear for DHs sake but secretly I love it! The sexist pig that is Jeremy Clarkson cracks me up Grin

Pops I don't get farenheit either! Confused I work in centigrade when doing temps at work and officially a normal temp is anything from 36 to 37.5.

Whims for some reason I couldn't view your photos yesterday so have only just seen the beautiful scarf - you are very talented! I hope you successfully sorted out your fabric ready for the big move!

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday evening. Mine will be spent watching TV and drinking wine instead of tending to the needs of drunken fools like the last 2 nights Then tomorrow its off to Ikea for some much needed storage boxes and lots of meatballs Laters ladies!

GreenOlives · 22/01/2012 15:20

P.S Pops Loving that fertile week is on the calendar for next month but you'll be updiffed by then anyway Grin

ScrambledSmegs · 22/01/2012 16:39

Green hmm, early cramping must mean upduffed! Glad the night shifts are over for now.

I normally work in celcius (centigrade? Not sure) too, but somehow my fanjometer has been changed to fahrenheit and I don't know how to change it back Confused I really should try harder, it's doing my head in.

Pop I hope you're feeling better now. At least your DH has a better understanding of the life-cycle of a human ovum now - although isn't he a nurse?! I guess it's not in the training, but still Shock !

PopcornMouse · 22/01/2012 16:57

5 hours olives Shock

lol smegs he's a psychiatric nurse, his training consisted of games of pool with the patients psychology and therapy :)

beangrower · 22/01/2012 17:20

Loving Whimsi's creation.

Will see you all this week. Hope it's a good one and we get some good news among us. We need it.

PopcornMouse · 22/01/2012 17:40

Quite right bean who's due to confirm next?

GreenOlives · 22/01/2012 18:56

Blush Wikipedia reliably informs me that centigrade is now known as celsius Smegs Hope you can work out how to change the fanjometer back Smile

Pops my 5 hours sleep today was because I worked last night not just because I'm a lazy mare I do usually only have about 3 hours sleep after my last night shift though to make sure I can get back into a normal pattern but I just couldn't drag myself out of bed that early today. Hope I can still sleep tonight Confused I suppose a Wine will help with that Grin I shall be confirming towards the end of next week - anyone else testing before then?

Waves back at bean

whimsicalname · 22/01/2012 19:33

Evening all. Quiet weekend here, DH away in Washington all last week, back and befuddled Friday, then off to London earlier today for a 3 day course. I'm having a quiet evening watching telly tidying. See you all in the morning.

whimsicalname · 22/01/2012 19:36

Oh, completely forgot to thank you all for you kind words about my knitting!

PopcornMouse · 22/01/2012 21:01

Omg olives i was Shock you managed on so little, not coz I thought it was lazy!

love the shawl whims :)

BeedleTheBard · 23/01/2012 05:43

Morning all, hope you had a good weekend.

I can't really help with the temperatures as I only do mine in celsius, but if you're interested they vary from 36.5 pre ov to a max of about 37.2 post ov.

Hi to frootz hope your BFPis just around the corner.

whims that scarf is amazing.

pop I also had to remind my DP about what he had learnt in school about human biology, though to be fair he is an engineer not a nurse Grin

Has anyone heard from far and munx hope you're both OK

We had a lovely weekend playing in the snow - winter has finally arrived with about 10cm of snow, so lots of walks just for the fun of walking through virgin snow Grin followed by clearing the path and the driveway [notsomuchfun]

NoMaybeAboutIt · 23/01/2012 07:59

Oooh, snow Beedle? I am so jealous! My DH is an engineer too, and I had to teach him about the finer points of my insides Grin

Olives hurrah for the end of the night shift! Hope you are feeling like a new woman today! Enjoy Ikea, and have a meatball for me! I too secretly love Top Gear. My favourite one ever was when they drove that tiny car through the BBC studios. I laughed till I cried! [loser]

Whim hope you had a nice relaxing evening.

Pop glad your temps are back up. Love how your DH ha his duties now written on the calender Grin

Smegs thanks for the temping advice. I do always feel warm anyway, though I can get really cold really quick. Haven't temped today, as I know I have a bit of a temperature.

Working from home here today lovelies, I can't breathe without coughing, and I feel like I have been hot by a bus. Just sitting up is hurting my neck Sad
