hurumph, so much for non-symptoms, just weighed mydelf & I've put a couple of lbs on which is a sure-fire sign she is due any day, although it is usually more like 4-5 lbs and I did have kebab for tea on friday folowed by BFsteak on saturday...

Gah who am I kidding why would this month be any different, no point getting my hopes up again plus I POAS on saturday and got BFN

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/02/2012 15:49

Thanks Pop and Stasi and all you other lovely smackers.

I am home now on the sofa with tea. DH is making me an omlette I really fancied one). He is too good Grin

farfallarocks · 13/02/2012 16:07

Ah maybe lovely DH.

scarlett that will be the baby snuggling in, you mark my words.

Waves to all the preggo brookers, biscuits 34 weeks I can't believe how quickly this has all come around! hooray!

I reckon I am diffed this month, well preggo, in fact I already feel sick and hungry and tired Grin Grin Grin

Where are munx and imps?

cakes82 · 13/02/2012 16:37

Hi everyone.
Hope af has stayed away Maybe that stretching feeling sounds vaguely familiar.

I hope you don't mind me posting here I don't feel like I properly fit on the other threads. Some of the pg ladies have had scares and had their scans today. They are about 5.5-6 wks pg too same as me and they had a heartbeat on their scan and I didn't on mine. I know not everyone is the same and next week when I go there might be a heartbeat,,, I've got emotional now and I don't know what to think.

farfallarocks · 13/02/2012 16:43

Oh cakes you stay on here whenever you want, its very very unlikely to see a heart beat at your stage. If they have seen one its likely they are a little ahead of you. When is your next scan? I know its very hard but try not to worry. Can yu have your HCG tested 48 hours apart and see if its doubling? You hang on in there, we are brooking for you like crazy.

OP posts:
ScarlettInSpace · 13/02/2012 16:48

cakes I really would try no to worry [I know that's easy for me to say x] but you are talking about a day or two making a difference, I'm sure I've read somewhere that it could be up to 7 weeks before heartbeat is detected.

Big positive thoughts, if they thought anything was up I'm sure they would've said xx

PopcornMouse · 13/02/2012 16:57

I've read it's really very unusual to get a heartbeat earlier than 7 weeks, and like Scarlett says, a few days makes a massive difference at this stage. I know it's hard, but please try not to worry. When is your next scan, did you say the 21st?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/02/2012 17:02

Oh Cakes don't you worry, you were just a little early, next time round you will see that little flicker. Of course you should stay here, we don't want you to leave Smile

Scarlett weight gain sounds very good to me, as does non-symptom spotting Grin

Far you are so diffed that I can smell that HCG from here!

Really hope Munx is ok. And Imps

And when is Smegs back from her hollibobs?

cakes82 · 13/02/2012 17:04

Thank you, darned hormones. dh not home yet he'd have sorted me out lol. Next scan is the 21st.

PopcornMouse · 13/02/2012 17:22

Only a week to go, cakes it'll fly by and you'll see that flicker next time :)

ScarlettInSpace · 13/02/2012 17:28
SweetieDoesIt · 13/02/2012 20:30

Evening all

Aw cakes try not to worry yourself, as the others say it is only a week to wait. Hope DH has given you a big hug.

Far well done on the SWI, sounds like the plan worked a treat Wink

Stasi I am thinking I may have had an annovulatory cycle too as AF was really light, over and done with already. But I did have a temp rise and dipped right down when AF arrived so I am not sure. Confused

Maybe how are you feeling now my dear? Hope the omelette hit the spot and you feel a bit brighter.

I have booked to see a different lady partner GP next Tuesday, I have not seen her before so I will have to see how I get on with asking for a referral. I also rang BUPA to see if I am covered for any fertility related tests under my work policy, but a big no. Never mind it was worth a phone call.

Imps7 · 13/02/2012 21:05

Well hellooooo! Sorry have been awol - have been at OH's parents' all weekend and at OH's grandma's funeral today which was very sad.

Maybe, I cannot believe that wench of a bitch. Are you deffo bleeding and not just have horrendous cramps?? Why do we all get something new EVERY SINGLE MONTH which is a classic preggo symptom?? Gah, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger and all that but seriously - it's shit.

Stasi how many DPO would you be today?? Is it worth getting a blood test tomorrow so that you can have the results before HSG? Just wondering if you may be someone who doesn't get positive urine test for ages - in which case a test on Thurs may not be that much help. Everything crossed for you, my lovely!

Bean so sorry about AF - but you will do a Pops and get your BFP this month - you'll have to give the resulting bubba the initials CBFM :)

Far YAYYYYY!!! For well timed bonking!! So pleased for you! Amazing how effective the nonchalant shagtic is! When did you ov?

My AF has buggered off so looking forward to lots of practice SWI this week. But for now I am going to have a bath and head to bed. Night all!

GreenOlives · 13/02/2012 21:15

Oh Maybe so sorry about bitch face AF arriving and ruining your Monday. Hope your omlette was yummy, your DH is a total sweetie and it sounds like he is doing a very good job of looking after you.

Big waves to all the other smacketers, I have had another spectacularly shite day at work (resulting in tears of sheer frustration!) so I've got a stinking headache and am off to bed Sad Will return tomorrow to catch up on all the other news.

TTFN xxx

Biscuitsandtea · 14/02/2012 01:14

Just thought I'd nip in to say that we're all brooking for you Cakes over on the ante natal thread. I hope your next scan comes round super quick so you can see that teeny tiny heartbeat flickering away xx

I would absolutely echo what the others have said too that all too often they can't see a heartbeat before 7 weeks but when you go back a week or 2 later it's there where it should be. And there is no real point in saying not to worry because I know how I felt before my early scan. It was the longest days of the pregnancy for sure.

We're all behind you though my lovely. I also can absolutely relate to feeling a bit weird about venturing onto the pregnancy forum - I felt just the same. But when you do feel ready, we'd love to see you over there.

As indeed we will be delighted to see each and every one of you when you confirm your obvious BFPs Smile

BeedleTheBard · 14/02/2012 06:41

scarlett i think most men would like a job that involves fiddling with ladies bits everyday, but they just don't get told about it by their careers advisors Grin

stasi I'll echo the "are you sure you're not pregnant?" even my super light and short periods sound heavier than that.

cakes please don't worry about the scan, I'm sure it was just too early. And some of those people who have already seen a heartbeat might have got their dates wrong or ovulated earlier than you (especially if they're not obsessed as interested in their cycles as us)

Hope everyone has a lovely valentines day, terribly poor planning by me has meant i won't even see DP today Shock, but we never do anything anyway as it comes so soon after my birthday. It seems a bit much to expect two lots of presents, pampering and nice dinners in less than a week. It honestly doesn't bother me, I'd rather he buys me little presents occasionally just because he sees something nice, not because he feels he must (unless its xmas or my birthday, in which case he must Grin )

farfallarocks · 14/02/2012 09:44

Morning rat smacketeers and Happy Valentine's Day

green what happened at work? It sounds mega stressful, hope you have recovered.

Good luck with the SWI imps

beedle I think your arrangement sounds a lot better, we don;t bother with valentine's day either, in fact we are going ot the gym tonight, romantic or what?

I went for a work dinner last night and conusmed vast amounts of wine, raw scallops and rare steak. If I am pregnant, the timing could not have been worse.....

OP posts:

Stasi · 14/02/2012 10:44

Morning everyone, quick post between other jobs.

On the TMI AF front, I've had a bit more red blood, but still nothing of note. Snoozed too long and got up too late to take my temps this morning, so no more clues. I'll just have to test tomorrow morning, and maybe give them a phone. I'm not sure if random light bleeding is going to mean I can't get the HSG at all. It's so strange it stopped for a day then came back a bit and stopped again. Sigh.

I would be about 17/19DPO today, so I think a hpt tomorrow morning should pick something up if it's there? I might invest in something more sensitive than an internet cheapie though, any recommendations?

Hope everyone else is having a good day, and that Olives got a good night's sleep. Cakes I hope you're DH made you feel better last night with lots of reassurance. You will be fine, you're a brooker and we're brooking for you. Far I can't stand raw steak or raw squidgy fish things . Tonight I am going to have my steak well done (and avert my eyes from DH's plate swimming in blood).

farfallarocks · 14/02/2012 10:50

stasi first response and super drug are both very good, at 17/19dpo you should be able to pick it up on most tests though, good luck!

OP posts:
Stasi · 14/02/2012 12:58

Well, I picked up some super drug tests at lunch. Going to wait for FMU tomorrow though, because if I don't and get a BFN, I'm not sure I'll trust it. Now I just need to get there...

GreenOlives · 14/02/2012 13:07

Afternoon ladies.

Feeling much today thanks. Lovely DH let me have a lie in then brought me breakfast in bed which I thought was a perfect Valentines treat then when I came downstairs I found he had also bought me some beautiful flowers and a silver charm for my Lovelinks bracelet from DS (which says I Love You Mummy!) I am one lucky lady Grin I also feel very guilty as I had just brought him a card Blush Far work yesterday was just so busy! At one point I had 72 patients in the department and as there is only 18 cubicles you can imagine the problems! No privacy & dignity for anyone Sad And all because there is never any empty beds in the hospital to admit people too My tears were just frustration and stress Enough of that though, I'm sure that the combination of nonchalant shagging and banned foods must surely mean you are diffed! Wink The scallops and steak sound devine!

Oooh Scarlett Symptoms are sounding very positive to me! Maybe that hyscosy won't be needed after all?!

Still got everything crossed for you too Stasi Maybe AF has been frightened off by the thought of the HSG and there's a little bean burrowing in there? I do hope so. I can't help on the preg test front as I acquire mine from work! Blush Well I figure it's similar to pinching paperclips from an office job Wink

Please try not to worry too much Cakes, I'm sure next week you'll see that heart thumping away, we are all brooking for that, big hugs to you.

I hope AF is not so evil today Maybe and that you are having a better day, also big hugs to you.

Waves to all the other smacketeers!

PopcornMouse · 14/02/2012 13:25

Afternoon ladies! Feeling a bit better today though I didn't sleep well last night ? I have terrible trapped wind Blush
DH has forgotten to get me a valentines card for the second year running, but I can't say I'm that bothered ? we've never placed that much importance in it (we have never done gifts, for example) and I know it's more representative of his organisational skills than his feelings towards me. I did get him a rather lovely one, however :o

:o scarlett that's a distinct possibility!! Technically I am a ?high risk? pg, so I'm trying and failing not to count my chickens iykwim.
Btw I gained weight before my BFP just as I normally would pre-AF ? so that means nothing!! And I had no symptoms either!! Are you going to POAS? :)

Oooooo Stasi I'm not sure I can bare to wait til the morning Shock Wink

I'm really excited for you far ! Will you be testing early this month, because of your blood thing/injections?

Sorry you had such a pants day at work olives I hope today is better. (It sounds like it started wonderfully, with your brekkie and present!)

Good luck at your appointment sweetie - make sure you go in knowing exactly what it is you want from her :) I don't think BUPA cover fertility stuff, but they will cover investigations if you have irregular periods, for example (I believe).

cakes82 · 14/02/2012 15:45

dh was lovely agreed with what you were all saying. He decided my tears were a sign of pg hormones, i'm not a person who crys that often unless i'm on the pill Confused
dh gave me a card and chocolates this morning before he went to work. I bought his card at lunchtime oops.
Still no actual sickness but have felt a bit yuck at times.

Its sounding very interesting stasi When I went for my HSG they asked me if I thought I might be pg before they would do anything.

farfallarocks · 14/02/2012 17:49

Will log in nice and early for some BFP action Stasi!!

I will test about 10dpo I think so I can get cracking on progesterone and heparin if BFP. I feel really positive this month, not sure why as I delude myself every sodding month but there you go. i shall enjoy this feeling whilst it lasts.

sweetie it might be too late but I asked to be covered for a gynae appointment to cover 'irregular menstruation' which is covered. I paid for some tests myself but lots were covered by them. Bit naughty but I have been paying in for years and this is the first help I need and I think its so wrong they don't cover it.

Cakes glad DH is being lovely, this week will fly by and you will see that lovely flicker pronto, brook, brook, brook.

scarlett you are also updiffed, you mark my words, I can feel it in my waters, we are going to have another scanathon in 12 weeks like we did back in August (was it August?)

How are you doing bean?

beedle have some Wine
from me as you are alone on V day :)
