Oh Maybe what a monster-focker. I am sending nuclear warheads; arrows just won't do it.

We are cycle buddies indeed, though I will be oving around 21 Feb which is DS 2nd birthday.

Glad to hear Far has had a successfully shagtastic w'e. Hopefully your OH has a big grin on his face Far. Wink

Olives - we rolled out the Gu for Mum's visit on her 70th. Naughty.

Hope you recovered Beedle?

Hello everyone else. Who's next up for PIAR? I shall be starting CBFM PIAR this week.

PopcornMouse · 13/02/2012 09:20

It's not over til the fat red lady sings, maybe ! But I agree, got to be something in the Feb 29th bit!

Well done far !! :)

Sorry this is really short and sweet, you wouldn't believe how tired I am today ? have decided being pregnant is comparable to having a perpetual hangover Hmm :o

farfallarocks · 13/02/2012 09:50

Oh maybe its not over yet, we are all brooking for you!
Whatever happens, its fantastic that your DH is so on board now.

generic hope you have a great holiday, you deserve a lovely break and big fat BFP on your return :)

pop its fab that the symptoms are kicking in for you now, albeit knackering.

bean and olives I also remember thinking that when I watched call the midwife, that they basically had a baby a year without all the shennanigans we do, just lots of sex. Still there must have been plenty of people who could not have them who would have benefitted from all the technology we have now!

So a lovely weekend in the far household, SWI on CD12 and twice on CD 13 Blush which also co-incided with positive OPK. It seems to be either feast or famine round here!! We have a holiday booked month so really the timing could not be worse :) I don;t mind if it has not happened this month but its just nice to be back in the game at least.

OP posts:
farfallarocks · 13/02/2012 09:51

p.s. generic I love the fact you were wondering if I had got any SWI in, I often think about you lot at the weekend and what you are up to. DH has no idea about any of you and would think I was even more mad.

I'm glad you did far - I wouldn't have been half as polite Hmm

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/02/2012 11:01

Thanks everyone! But the cramps are starting now. It's ok, it will give me abirthday baby. DH was very pleased with this. Then it dawned on him that it would make it twice as expensive Grin

Good for you Far So pleased you and MrFar are swi away. Watdch out for that BFP Grin

Pop there must be a correlation there! Hope you are feeling a little less tired now.

I am a late egg-layer Bean though I am very pleased that it is now shorter than it was post pill. I feel qiote pleased with myself that my cycles are now sorting themselves out Smile

Generic how are you?

Who is planning to PIAR next?

And where is Imps?

Stasi · 13/02/2012 11:55

Morning everyone, I've got 10 minutes till my meeting starts, so this is going to be a quick post.

Maybe sorry AF seems to be turning up, I hope it's just a random dip and the ERTD stays away.
Pop I too think it's exciting you're getting symptoms, even if they do make you feel hungover.
Far well done on the well timed SWI, nonchalance seems to be the way to go.
bean I hope your shag dictator works wonders for you, I'm still seriously considering getting one, but think I should use up all my OPK sticks first.
Beedle hope your long day passes quick.
Olives sorry you didn't win your sofas, it's ok though, they obviously were not the ones you were meant to have. These next ones will be better and more comfy by far.
Generic hooray for well timed holiday SWI.

So - my news is a very worrying AF. Only 1.5 days of very light bleeding, with hardly any blood getting to the pad at all. Now it's all gone, without even much brown spotting. I don't like it, if it's so little, surely there's no lining there for a bean?
I've had over 18 months of predicable cycles, and over 18 years of 4-5 day AF! Could it be the vitamins? I'm thinking of just stopping them all and going back to just plain old 'natural'. I had a later ov, longer LP, and shorter AF. All from one month of B complex and vit D?

PopcornMouse · 13/02/2012 12:09

Would it be worth asking the HSG person their opinion, stasi? FWIW, the period before my BFP only lasted 2 days with no spotting or anything. (Could it be spotting/a fake period? You're defo not pg?)

farfallarocks · 13/02/2012 12:14

stasi are you sure you are not actually pregnant? I also metalled about linuing as I have light AFs but scan confirmed this month I got to the required 8mm. And I literally had 1 day of proper bleeding and a bit of spotting. It also could just be a little rogue cycle.

OP posts:
Biscuitsandtea · 13/02/2012 12:24

Or, Stasi perhaps an anovulatory cycle, which apparently we all have every now and again? The cycle I got my BFP, my fertility monitor thing thought I probably hadn't ovulated at all and that was looking like a late ov / long LP etc.

Of course I'm hoping Far is right and really you're as preggo as preggo can be - is it worth PIAR?

Far, glad your nonchalance has been paying off. It's hard for our men once they get a hang up about it all and Mr Biscuits and I had to have a 'what, me? SFF?, well, I suppose we could if you want........' period. Hope it delivers your sticky BFP!

beangrower · 13/02/2012 12:34

Could you karate chop my AF too, Biscuits - I imagine you will give it some welly now you are 'stately'. Grin About a month to go for you dear preggo?

Sounds annovulatory Stasi - see what happens next month after HsG. Vits will only be a good thing, surely?

Far - sounding on much better form, this is great news.

Olives - boo to ebay hoodies. Keep looking and I hope you win next time. There's one thing about us TTCers - we're tenacious.

ScarlettInSpace · 13/02/2012 12:45

Afternoon everyone Smile I really need to try keeping up to date with you all instead of mammoth posts every couple of days?

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, I did after I?d recovered from a 3.30am bedtime on Thursday Hmm I made steak diane on Saturday and had a couple of glasses of fizz Wine

bean you mentioned a private hycosy ? just checked & that?s what I've been referred for ? is it not the same as an HSG?

far am very pleased about your action packed weekend hehe

maybe I had all same symptoms in December and OH was more convinced than me that it was pg, when AF did eventually arrive it was the longest, most painful, shittiest AF since my teens Sad

stasi they do say that the first 1-2 days before AF proper is old stuff iykwim so may not even be AF, just a thought?

Boohiss to all AF?s in the last few days, my AF due on Weds so I think there is deffo something to olives Cyber Cycle Synchronising theory!

I am currently doing the opposite to normal - non-symptom spotting. My boobs are not sore [usually starts 5 days before], I have no spots and I don?t think I am not biting everyone?s head off [this is OH's input btw, I am pretty certain I am saintly all month but he disagrees]. I do have incredibly sore shoulders & back for some reason but when I tried to read anything into this OH reminded me I went arse over tit on Saturday when we took SK?s to the park.

Re AIBU ? I read it and comment out loud to my screen but most of it is so bloody petty its not worth getting involved. The only other topics of interest to me are on the step-parenting section, mostly to remind myself that although OH?s ex is an absolute nob, she is not as bad as some peoples and it could be worse. Also to reassure myself sometimes that I'm not being a wicked step-mother.

I nearly forgot Valentines Day [bad girlfriend] so have bought OH Maverick Sabre tour tickets [good girlfriend]

ScarlettInSpace · 13/02/2012 12:50
beangrower · 13/02/2012 12:53

Hi Scarlett - sounds like u r pg to me!

Yes - hycosy is different to HsG. Dr Google will explain better than me. But I don't imagine you'll need it anyway. Grin.

Sometimes you have a cycle where you don't pop an egg - annovulatory - but you do have some sort of bleed as the oestrogen kicks in for the next cycle.

Oh yes Valentines day... ahem.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/02/2012 12:56

ScarlettI am sure you are far from an evil stepmother Grin Sounds like you had a nice weekend of food and drink!

Thanks for the karate chop Biscuits that'll show her.

Stasi I would also check you are definitely not preggo. How exciting... Grin

Scarlett I think there is something in what you said. I am currently crippled by AF. I'm sitting at my desk doubled over. I just can't get comfy, and pain killers aren't even touching the sides. DH has ordered me home with the promise of hot chocolate and hot water bottles. I am trying to hold out, but this is ridiculous. She really is a cow Sad

Biscuitsandtea · 13/02/2012 13:06
beangrower · 13/02/2012 13:17

Poor Maybe - hottie and something good on the box for you tonight. I so wish she wasn't on your case, the utter shitbag.

Actually - I think I know what you mean Biscuits - I don't think I'll ever forget TTC even when I've moved on (as pg and/or fostering)... I've had some unpleasant times in my life (cancelled wedding - 3 days beforehand - is up there Blush) but prolonged TTC wins, streaks ahead over the other angst/sadness. Still, I'm beginning to see there's lots of other great stuff to focus on in life...

Far - couldn't resist adding my penny's worth to that fred either.

Stasi · 13/02/2012 13:36

I did PIAR yesterday to check, as this AF is like nothing I remember. Very little symptoms, not much cramping, no acne, no mood swings really. I did get a +OPK, lots of EWCM and a temp shift, so not sure it's anovulatory. Though it could be I guess. I'll test again on Wed, as my HSG is Thur (for which I think they'll make me test again anyway) just to make triple sure.

Maybe I hope you feel better soon, I think getting home to a hot water bottle/bath, some hot chocolate and a blanket is the only sensible option. There's no point being in work if you can't do work because of the pain.

Biscuits how exciting! I can imagine how it might not quite feel real, even right up to the labour. I'm sure there's a baby in there though, and you'll be meeting it soon!

I think I'll stay away from this thread - I'm not even going to look at the main forum board. Today is strictly a 'Threads I'm On' day so keep talking lots to keep me from getting bored at work.

ScarlettInSpace · 13/02/2012 13:57

I think I am reading this right - an HSG is when they put in dye then x-ray you, and a hycosy is when they put an ultrasound inside you, also do the dye and use the ultrasound?

the first result google chucked up was a link to an old mumsnet topic Grin but I've toddled off to some 'proper' websites to see lol

beangrower · 13/02/2012 14:06

I know that there's no x-ray with hycosy so it's considered safer. Plus less painful apparently.

Stasi · 13/02/2012 14:24

I found a random abstract from a paper I can't read on HSG vs HyCoSy. It seems to be saying the HSG was better. However, no real insight into why without the background.

"Hysterosalpingo contrast sonography (HyCoSy) has been compared favourably in the literature with hysterosalpingography (HSG). It does not require ionizing radiation and demonstrates the uterus and ovaries. HyCoSy is reported as being a safe, well tolerated, quick and easy investigation of Fallopian tube patency."

This study suggested there was more discomfort, and some potential bad side effects to the HyCoSy, but as stated above, lots of other people are saying it's great/better than HSG.

ScarlettInSpace · 13/02/2012 14:28

cheers both - I guess it's just a suck it and see then...

the consultant said he has refrred me to a sonography specialist who has been doing these for years and is considered and expert so fx.

Me and OH were wondering at what point in a mans life does he decide he wants to specialise in looking at/legal fiddling with ladies ahem bits... Genuine desire to help women have babies or underlying mild perversion? Prob best not to think about it but we couldn't help it Grin

PopcornMouse · 13/02/2012 14:33

:o scarlett

Aww maybe I hope you feel better soon!

DH's Dad has just come over and brought me a lovely bottle of plonk! DH has put it in a cupboard for me for October....... :o :o

Good luck on Thursday Stasi I'm brooking it clears things out nicely and you'll be following it up with a BFP next month :)
