duggs1976 · 17/01/2012 22:21

hey ladies,

There are a few of us who are ttc after mc's, however there will be ladies out there who are also ttc for the first time or second or third without success. If anyone is on, considering or had success on a super ovulation programme then do join us. How long did it take ? Did you try IUI with it.. ? Did you have PCOS?

Kicking this off and hoping some of you will join....

sorry kittens left you out there so you will be testing week after next?
Have I left anyone else off. What was bellyd doing in end was she on SOor was it clomid. I know she is testing about now.

Yes DH did jab and didnt' really hurt at all. Well done! swi....I know what you mean. I took that into account with Cyclo but will start popping one from tonight. Yuk.

eurochick · 28/02/2012 14:33

Pebbles I had a lot of tenderness on my second cycle but nothing on my first and third.

kittens I waited until after swi had stopped, when I was sure ov had taken place a couple of days before. The Cyclogest is quite "icky". And for us, it is not like we are IVF ladies where our bodies are not producing any progesterone, so this is just to give our natural levels a boost. My acu lady suggested it because she thinks my levels might drop a little early, effectively giving me a short window for imlantation even though my LP isn't that short So I figured starting a couple of days post ov would do no harm.

eurochick · 28/02/2012 14:40

I meant to say I also found the ovitrille jab just fine.

jaffajiffy · 28/02/2012 14:40

Hi again,
I have a prescription for cyclogest to be taken from BFP, but it sounds like you're all on it anyway after ovulation - ? Should I get on it now? I'm not on pred or have any immune things (that we've tested for at least) - not sure if that makes a difference. Should I text Louise and ask? I suppose one more day won't make that much difference!

Havingkittens · 28/02/2012 15:08

jaffa, I think the reason I'm on it is due to my slightly short luteal phase, if that's any help.

snoopy I guess I'll be testing the week after next. Are we supposed to test 10dpo on this or wait 14? Just wondering because of the Ovitrelle causing false positives.

eurochick · 28/02/2012 15:18

I'm on it on my acu's suggestion. Mr S didn't think it would help but was happy for me to try them from ov as they couldn't do any harm.

Pebbles73 · 28/02/2012 16:00

kittens we decided to go for it twice yesterday. Also meant could give this morning a miss and leave it until later!

Personally I would wait until after the swi.

Pebbles73 · 28/02/2012 18:37

Whoops crossed posts with everyone a bit there!! I will be testing the week after Snoopy, as it's swi yesterday and today going to assume today is ov and the test 14 dpo.

I can't wait to see some of you with bfp's, surely between us we should manage one this month!!

snoopygirl · 28/02/2012 21:17

Me too getting hacked off with it. Want some good news.
I felt dreadful today. Been slogging away at our vat reclaim on our house for days. Thought it was because I had been slumped over computer all day but then realised it's because I have only had about 4 hrs sleep per night for last 3 nights. Your body tries to cope and keeps you awake but then after a few days it gives up. I feel like a shire horse with one of those big heavy collars round it's neck! It's doing me in today. Need sleep..............

snoopygirl · 29/02/2012 03:57

Help.....been awake since 1.30, now 4am

jaffa don't see why not to getting on cyclogest now, think it will just delay period a bit. It all helps.

Kittens On euro's advice a couple of us testing day 5/6 ish to see if ovitrelle out of system. (mine is gettin fainter every day) Then i spose test as normal, which for most is however long we can hold off for. Spose the longer the better.

try again with the sleep. nite x

jaffajiffy · 29/02/2012 07:46

snoopy hope you got some sleep. I get that kind of insomnia a lot. I've been looking into the cold cap thing someone posted on here.

Anyway, gather round and take heart, my fellow super ovvers!

BFP! 1-2 weeks on the cb digital!
Now quickly tell me there's NO way it's the damn ovitrelle!

Feeling very very weird and not quite believing.

Of course we all know it's the start of a long road I've been on before and had two mc, but take heart that the super ov thing has worked!!

duggs1976 · 29/02/2012 08:06

Yeahhhhh Jaffa! At last a BFP! Now - quickly - tell us your history again to date Inc how long on SO programme GrinGrin

Think snoopy asked . . I'm ordering the drugs today for IVF next cycle should start mid march so 2 weeks today.

suemays · 29/02/2012 08:24

jaffa congrats! How many dpo are you as i am 10 today? I did a test on frer and there is a very faint line. Worried as that's how it was with my chemical. The line is so faint it could just be an evaporation line or picking up traces of the ovitrelle? I have been feeling nauseas and light headed but have had that before on all the drugs! Think I will try and speak to Louise and see what she says!

duggs1976 · 29/02/2012 08:54

Ohh sue google ovitrelle as they sat it can take 10 days post trigger shot to disappear (everyone is different) so r u 10 days past trigger ?

OP posts:
jaffajiffy · 29/02/2012 09:16

Hi again. sue I'm 14 days after trigger shot, so that might be 13dpo I suppose. I've had a faint bfp on ovitrelle before too.

Brief history: pg aug 2010 mc sep 2010. Pg feb 2011 mc apr 2011. Nothing for ages so visited mr S for immune and fertility tests and discovered low amh. No problem with NK cells etc. Started super ov. Rubbish cycle 1 on 2.5 mg of letrozole. 7mg for cycles 2-5 plus progynova to thicken lining with increasingly better results. Bfp on cycle 5!

Now I've got to start the mc mentalling.

suemays · 29/02/2012 10:43

I am 12 days passed the trigger shot but I spoke to Louise and she said that she had a lady this week who was 14 days passed the trigger shot but the test still showed up as a positive. She then started a normal period within a few days. Louise said it is unusual to see the ovitrelle still registering but it can happen! I had to do a test today as I normally only take steroids for 10 days. I am doing another test at the weekend so fingers crossed the line will be nice and dark. Knowing my luck I will start my AF! Its weird though as at my last acupuncture appointment he put some burning charcoal on my tummy to increase progesterone levels. He has never done that before and I remember him telling me a while ago that they can tell almost from conception of a pregnancy. I am probably reading too much into it though! I still have slight nausea and my boobs have started 'cramping' this morning but again it could be the side effects of all the drugs. This is such a headfuck!!!!!
I have looked on Google and apparently it can take 14 days to leave your system. I think I will have to take it that I am not pregnant at the moment and wait until the weekend to test again. Louise told me to up all the meds though just in case, she said it was likely that I am pregnant but not to get my hopes up.

jaffajiffy · 29/02/2012 12:24

Hi again,
sue I also just rang Louise wondering if there's any way it's the ovitrelle. She said given my history of getting BFNs at this point, and that I used a digital test, means it's unlikely to be a false positive. Phew! I've been off coffee this morning and enjoying a caffeine withdrawal headache, so it had better bloody be a real BFP. Of course, it's VERY early days, and there are a million things that can go wrong, but here we are. Step 1 of many steps is achieved! So I reckon you'll have to sit on your hands for a few days...

snoopygirl · 29/02/2012 12:41

sue & jaffa

Oh bloody hell ladies why can't it be straight forward!! nothing is with all this. Like you say sue the symptom thing is not very reliable and has caught me out before. But ....this could be it for both of you. I spose you could keep testing and if it gets darker then that can't be ovitrelle can it?? As that would fade off??

I so so so want this to be it for you two. Bigs ((Hugs)) and everything crossed for next few days.

I am so tired I look ill. Just went to town to get out of house and sat having a "de-caf" (I converted for now)!! in M&S and got home realising had cardigan on back to front!! Blush. can't talk straight either. If this carries on I'm going to be asking to get off pred and on Hydroxy if that does similar as can't take much more of this.

eurochick · 29/02/2012 13:41

Aw, snoopy that sounds awful. My insomnia hasn't been too bad this time round.

I tested today at 7dpo (and 7 days past Ovitrille as I am sure I ovulated the same day I took it so it was rather pointless) and got the faintest hint of a line after the time for reading the test has passed so I reckon the Ovitrille is almost gone from my system now. I will keep testing to see what happens.

Pebbles73 · 29/02/2012 14:20

Oh wow has been quite a morning on here!! Jaffa that is fantastic news, long way to go I know but at least you are now on the way!! Grin.

Sue will be hoping your line gets stronger, keep us posted!!

Snoopy you poor thing, you sound knackered! Only on day two of pred so no side effects yet.

jaffajiffy · 29/02/2012 14:42

We must be the only thread that keeps testing til we get a negative and then starts testing for a positive!

suemays · 29/02/2012 15:40

Jaffa I am sure you will be OK as you are 4 days ahead of me in the testing game. Louise said my symptoms will lessen (if it is pregnancy) due to the increased steroids. No point worrying about it until the weekend - then I can start mentalling! You are right though as we probably are the only thread who tests for negatives! Have you had any symptoms yet??

I would have preferred to be testing at 14dpo to avoid any confusion!

Snoopy I have been really tired over the last few days so you never know, you might end up getting a BFP this time? Hope it wasnt a white cardi as it could have looked like a straight jacket!

snoopygirl · 29/02/2012 15:45

I know sue I certainly have that zombie staring eyed mad woman about me! haha.

pebbles do you mean you can actually sleep right though night?

Pebbles73 · 29/02/2012 19:30

Had a late night so maybe that helped as was really tired.Work us v busy at the moment and lots to sort out before I go away so knackered. Let's see how I get in tonight.
Hope you manage to get done sleep tonight Snoopy.
