TTC Super Ovulation...

hey ladies,

There are a few of us who are ttc after mc's, however there will be ladies out there who are also ttc for the first time or second or third without success. If anyone is on, considering or had success on a super ovulation programme then do join us. How long did it take ? Did you try IUI with it.. ? Did you have PCOS?

Kicking this off and hoping some of you will join....

Jaffa I am trying not to read too much into every twinge I am getting this week as I was also convinced I was preg last month! I have a week left to go to do a test too but I am not holding out much hope. I have been researching IVF clinics so that is taking my mind off superov at the moment and mentalling about everything!
Hey at least we wont end up with breast cancer! Got to be a good thing!

Hey Jaffa, nice to have af for only three days. Emailed Louise and she said to still have scan in the morning as the follicles will still be growing. She said spotting just from the letrezole.
I bet it has been lovely being away in hols in 2ww to help take your mind off it. Hope you had a lovely time and good luck for next week!

Hi Ladies

Ok I am really pleased as had two follicles one 17mm and one 21mm. Lining was 8mm. So thats good isnt it? Anyway Dr said they were great and to do trigger shot. glad I took Ovitrelle with me and DH did it under nurse supervision. Not very well I might add. Although think nurse pinching skin hurt more! Dr S was very deft with the dildo cam and wasn't uncomfortable at all. It was all really quick actually.

I was in a such state as had banging headache by time go there and felt sick. Epsom was a nightmare of traffic and I was few mins late but so was Dr as he was stuck in it too. I had to wait 10mins for him to get in. took 2.5hrs to get home.

Trigger shot has made me bit achey but who cares it was worth it. It cost me £335 though as this is first scan with him.

sue you never know, some people quite oftern say they feel nothing and bang pregnant! I just so want one of us SOers to get a bfp and keep it.

Oh and I said to Dr would it be worth me taking Cyclogest earlier and he said yes take from Sunday. Just worried that it's not been thick enough before (because of chems) and it can only help.

Good news snoopy can't do much better than those figures. Fingers crossed one of those 3 are the ticket

Snoopy forgot to ask, what amount of Letrozole are you on? He has put me up to 7.5mg as he said he wants to see 3 mature follicles rather than 2. He might do the same for you if you dont get a BFP this month but fingers crossed you will. I didnt ask about the cyclogest so maybe I should call tomorrow and ask if I should take it as my lining was thin last month.
I really dont think I will get a BFP this month but you never know!

Snoopy excellent news re scan and hope you are now busy swi, can't use the headache as an excuse. Wishing you lots of luck this cycle, well that's to everyone really.
Will let you all know how I get on tomorrow, so should I take ovitrelle with me ?? Is a bit tricky though as if don't use it can't take to work and put in the fridge, people might be a but surprised when they get thier lunch out the fridge! ;)

Pebbles I woudl try and take it with you - can't you put it in a lunchbox and hide it inside??

Great news, snoopy! So now you've been told to have "intercourse" as mr S puts it! A few cycles ago my DH kindly entered it in our joint diary as "inter" which put me right off (surprised?). He knows better now.

And I echo the sincere hope one of us gets a bfp and keeps it! I thankfully have run out of Internet cheapies so can't test for a while. I think I'll wait til cd28 which is Thursday.

Hi all.
I'm about to start the superovulation treatment next month (am on preds alone this month). I have one son, and although he was not conceived on preds, I took them as soon as I knew I was pregnant after 4 previous miscarriages.
Stupid question probably, but what is AMH? Mr S hasn't mentioned that to me as far as I know. I had a day 3 test though (FSH 7.7, E2 101). I'm nearly 41.
By the way, anyone suffering from steroid-induced insomnia might want to try a Migracap, which cools your head. I've found it very effective, even though agonisingly cold at first!

Well all good, he said it was an excellent response. :). Two larger follies at 14mm & 15mm and two smaller at 13mm. Trigger on Sunday and "intercourse" Monday & Tuesday. Feeling really pleased as was sure it would be to early. Forgot to check when I should test though?

pebbles sorry only just saw the post. Did you take injection with you? I took it in cool box. Headache went soon as out of clinic thankfully.

jaffa yes tonight and sat. I have just got a faint line on ov stick so hopefully timing ok. good luck with testing!

sue Still on 5mg and didn't say anything yet about upping dose. I don't see any harm in starting the cyclogest early. Albeit a PITA literally!!

pebbles as got faint line this morning I am figuring I will ov on Sat and am counting 14dpo from there. Although we all know it will be before then

sue that is interesting that you asked about cyclogest. I did the same! My acupuncturist had suggested it as she thinks my progesterone levels drop a little earlier than they should. He said I could use it if I wanted to but didn't expect to see any benefit for me.

I am humming and hawing about it. It might help. However, I am wondering if taking it can delay my period? I don't want that to happen as we have just booked a holiday for what should be just after my next period! It's trivial I know but I love snorkellng and swimming in the sea but there are a lot of sharks where we are going so I really don't want to be bleeding then.

I have pains in lower left side, wonder if that's my follicle rupturing? (Think I am reading too much on internet). Wish didn't have boys sleepover I need to jump on DH soon as when he gets home and theres no way they are going to bed easily! And line is showing on ov stick!

Snoopy sounds like OV to me so you need to do the deed asap! I cant remember how long the egg lasts for but I think its only around 12 hours. If you did it last night though, the wrigglers should be ready and waiting if you OVd earlier.

Euro I was worried about delayed OV too with taking cyclogest but I think I am going to start tonight seeing as I am worried after having the chemical pregnancy in December. Do you think the sharks will take any notice if you have your AF?

Pebbles great news on the follies! You should test 12DPO and keep taking the preds to 14DPO if you get a negative test.

Brownstag I might try that cap thing but I ten do wake up around 4am and cant get back to sleep so not sure if it will work.

I have been getting little cramps but trying not to read anything into it as only 5DPO today!

Jaffa I wonder if Dr S feels uncomfortable saying the sex word?!

sue and snoopy I'm not sure if sharks are attracted to menstrual blood. I will have to google (when not at work!). I have done deep sea snorkelling with my period before (I came on about an hour after we booked the trip and a couple of hours before we left -grrr). I was a little nervous, but I think Mr euro was terrified. I looked at the reef (which is what we were there for) but he spent most of the time looking out into the deep sea! I found it quite funny until we got off the boat back at our island and saw a tiny baby shark in the shallows there....

He went for "make love" with me rather than "intercourse". The Letrozole makes my abdomen so tender that I'm not sure that "make love" is the best description. "Cover you face with a pilloow to hide the pain so as not to put him off his stroke and make noises that sound pleasurable rather than painful if possible" might be more apt. But less succinct!

I got "have sex", did I tell you we were late as we were stuck in traffic and he got stuck in same traffic and turned up 5 mins after us. Perhaps he was harrassed and couldn't be bothered with making things sound romantic. And lets face it (or is it just me) theres not much romance and flowers going on with all this. and tonight it's going to be quickest shag ever with two excitable boys next door.

sue I didn't swi last night as had absolutley no line on stick. I KNOW I SHOULD HAVE STUPID OF ME. I thought I would give DH sperm chance to recover as did the night before. And dr s said tonight and sat. Now panicking. The egg is around for 12hrs like you said and sperm can take anything from 30mins (supersperm) to 12hrs for really slow ones. Cant believe I'm googling these times!!

Thank you Snoopygirl. Does Mr S only test for it if the day 1-3 tests suggest a need for it, do you think?
Sue, I think the cap will still work. I bought the cap after reading about the following piece of research. You can't buy the actual custom-made caps they used in the research but the cooling gel caps seem to be the next best thing.

Hi brownstag I had d3 hormone testing with Mr S and he included amh so that's probably in hand if he's doing the test. It's an indicator of ovarian reserve, and low amh coupled with high fsh can mean you're out of eggs. My amh was very VERY low but fsh not too high so Mr S wasn't worried. some doctors swear by it and others say its not important.

sue when are you testing? I'm thurs.

Sorry stag don't know any more about amh. Looks likes jafa bit more clued up on that one.

I'm not really sure either. My FSH wasn't that high but Mr S stuck AMH on the test list anyway. It came back in the "low fertility" range (but at the upper end of that) and he wasn't bothered and says that he never sees the higher numbers. I guess they belong to uber fertile 16 yr olds or something! I think he may have mentioned something about it indicating how I was likely to respond to drugs, but I am not sure about that as it was a while ago.
