As we share this journey!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 17/01/2012 14:10

Oh Rusulka excellent news, so pleased you finally got some answers from them. How are things today? Hope you are feeling a little more relaxed knowing that things are moving forward and you are going to be checked out.

I just can't stop testing! Aaaaaaarhh thank god I am at work now! Well I tested just before I left for my meeting with darker but not quite orange pee, and i definitely definitely think that I saw the hint of something pink come up within the 5 min timeline (can you tell I am clutching at straws now?). Aaaaargh, just don't know! And now the cramps are back, and there are shooting pains in my left booby and I have a strange pinching feeling that comes and goes in my left ovary/wombage area. Still can't get rid of these bloody headaches either.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 17/01/2012 16:03

Ladies, just to add to my obsession, I am thinking of buying an FRER tonight; would it be best to use it first thing? I know I have got a bazillion ICs but I want to make sure it's definitely BFN then at least I wont be sitting here wondering what colour to paint the nursery Grin

I have read many stories of women only getting very faint lines on ICs (particularly the One Stop version that I have) but getting definite lines on FRERs, Superdrug, CB Digi's, so I thought it might be worth a go. I have never gotten a second line on an FRER so if that came back BFN then i would know that the ICs were evil dirty evaps.

I am losing it, aren't I?!? Blush

festiemum · 17/01/2012 19:33

No, no, moo, you're doing exactly what I would do. FRER and Superdrugs will give you a more definitive answer.

Fingers crossed the definitive answer you get is the one you want! (the one we all want for you, for that matter!)

rusulka - glad the epu sorted their shit out eventually. How's the spotting? If it's still just spotting, it's pretty likely to be a break through bleed like I had and nothing to worry about. (what am I saying? Of course we all worry!)

Hi winnie - good luck with the restraint thing! I am so not good at that, but also want to try and wait till af is due this month. Hope we manage it!

festiemum · 17/01/2012 19:34

Oh and yes - frer, fmu - best combination for the most accurate result! And the strongest line, obviously! :o

DeeLite · 17/01/2012 19:52

Moowoo I am truly crossing everything for you. You really deserve your BFP and hopefully this is the cycle that gets it for you. I look forward to checking back in for news tomorrow. I think you should definitely try to save your FRER for FMU tomorrow.....easier said than done, I know.

Thanks to Discolite and Moowoo for helping me with my ovulation question the other day. I read your replies on my phone but am rubbish at typing on my phone and am only now having a chance to respond and thank you for your advice.

Rusulka I had some spotting at the exact same stage with DS1 and he is a healthy 18 month old now. I am a bit Shock that you weren't seen earlier by the EPU though. They saw me the same day - not because they were worried but because they are keen to allay mums concerns quickly. They told me that spotting occurs in a quarter of pregnancies and is not usually a problem unless it becomes much heavier. Hope all goes well on Thursday.

Liliana sorry that your temp has dipped. Lucky you off to Vegas though. That will keep your mind occupied during next month's 2ww assuming your dip is not an implantation dip Wink.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 17/01/2012 20:20

Didn't manage to get an FRER! Will get one tomorrow and test on Thursday! Darn it!! I will undoubtedly test in the morning anyway Grin can't help myself.

Thanks for all your kind words!! I obviously also hope this is it for me as well but I also hope that it gives hope to everyone! If I can do it then we all can :)

Cramping has started again, I hope it's not AF!!

alexeliza · 17/01/2012 20:28

Hi ladies, may I join you? DH and I have only just started ttc. But would love to get a BFP this year!! This is my first cycle following my first AF in 2 years (due to the contraception I was on), so not sure how long it will actually be. Fingers crossed though.

Discolite · 17/01/2012 21:41

Moo if you are preg then testing should theoretically show a stronger line each morning, yes? I hope it does get stronger/actually pink and not evap or anything. Only time will tell sadly!

Glad the EPU got back to you Rusulka, please update us on Thursday.

Hello Alexeliza of course you can join us! The more the merrier. I hope you have a textbook 28 day cycle!

Well, we've started on our sex schedule, am getting a bit of gentle cramping so hopefully it augurs well for ovulation on Friday. I know it's not as long as some people have to try for but this is cycle is cycle 7 and I'm starting to get twitchy. Oh well, just got to keep on going I suppose and assume everything is fine until proven otherwise...

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 17/01/2012 21:56

Disco in theory, yes but they do say that it takes a while for the hcg to build up after implantation, hence why I think the advice is to test after AF is due. Because of my screwed up cycles though I have no idea when the hag is due! Hence I am testing often because I'm obsessed

Oooh ov pains sounds promising and Grin at the sex schedule - love it!! If you are worried about not conceiving yet though you could always exaggerate the truth in how long you've been trying, I did.

Welcome Alexe hope this thread sees you to your BFP!!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 18/01/2012 06:34

Well BFN this morning and to make matters worse my SiL is pg again with their second! Had the call this morning! Although I'm happy for them I'm gutted for myself! Just feel so useless and that it's never going to happen :( :(

I'm not even sure I ov'd when FF says I did, if I change the settings to research it puts ov at CD10 and we only manages to dtd once on CD7 :( not sure I ov'd on CD10 either thinking maybe the imaginary temp dip might in fact be ov :( just feel gutted. Don't think DH actually understands how I feel didn't even ask how I felt.

Sorry ladies, hard to be positive when it's happening for people close to me.

Liliana1 · 18/01/2012 07:44

Sorry Moo it does look like you ov'd though which is really good and something to hang onto but even with a perfect cycle it doesn't always work even with everything right (says one with plenty of experience) It's still not over, just try to stop testing for a bit!!!!
Congrats to your sil but not the best timing for you to hear that. Am going to start stamping my foot soon and demanding it's our turn!

sounds good disco enjoy all the swi and hope you plant a bean :)

Hi Alex / Eliza / AE (? not sure how you like to shorten!) You're more than welcome to join us and we're not leaving till we get our bfp's Grin

Rusulka so pleased they finally got things moving, let us know how it went and fx all is well.
I know I need to chill, just so fed up and needed a moan. In fairness I've been more relaxed and even my a and d councillor has said my scores are 'sub clinical', Yay I guess thats as close to normal as it gets Grin
New project is the lounge - needs a good paint and re design. (My house is going to be a showhome with all the take your mind off ttc with DIYing!!!!)

Festie and Winnie good luck with the staying strong, hope you get the right result when you do!

AF arrived this am so will update stats later. Think my next AF is due while we're in Vegas - already decided I'm not taking any tests with me or thermometer so will have to wait and see if she arrives.

Good luck to everyone still in for this month

Countmyblessings · 18/01/2012 09:55

Rusulka - ohhhh glad you are getting a scan, it will put your mind at ease to get the all clear result!!!
MooWoo - I'm so sorry timing of hearing your SIL news is just not great trust me I understand that - just hold on to hope that it's going to happen for you, although having a clue when would be great!
Sex shedule- Disco - ohhhhhhhh! interesting you go girl!!!
Festie- hi!
Lil- I'm sorry I guess we are in for another month!!!!! I'm moving to the seat beside you!
Welcome aboard newbie E- lazy right now while on my phone!
We are all here till we get out our BFP and beyond!
AF is really heavy ain't had it this bad since the AF after my MMC!
May now have to invest in some testing sticks!

OP posts:
Rusulka · 18/01/2012 10:49

Moo hold it together! And as hard as it might be, if it hasn't happened, then it isn't meant to be- THIS time. Don't give up on SWI just because FF tells you to, I kind of think she's a sneaky bitch anyway, trying to lead you off down false trails when you least expect it.
HCG doubles every 48 hours, so if you're going to religiously POAS, try to leave it at least every couple of days. Then you can line them all up in a row and see if it gets darker.

Lil that sounds like a perfect project!
I am yearning to do the shelves in the living room, but DH and FiL won't even let me put my own f*cking socks on. They very interestingly informed me that they would be doing the skirting boards in our bedroom for me over half term. Like fuck they are! They'll cock it up for sure.
(Besides, I want it done by the end of the month.)

I'll concede that I shouldn't be carrying heavy shopping or moving the piano, but for god's sake, I can mitre the corners of pieces of wood and bang nails in, ARGHGHGGHGHGHGH!!!

Still spotting, but early scan tomorrow, and have midwife appt for 6th feb. Yahoo, someone gives a shit!

festiemum · 19/01/2012 07:12

Hi all.

moo - how's it going? Sorry you were so low yesterday. Amazing how someone else's news can bring you down, but of course it would. Did you get some frers in the end? I am truly anti ics these days - they used to work for me, but when I had my mc in the summer, I just got negatives from them! Superdrug and Sainsburys gave me positives, and I don't think the Sainsburys ones are particularly sensitive either.

It's hard to stay positive though, I know. I did a fertility test on the nhs website the other day, and was shocked to find that as we've been trying for over 6 months now and I'm over 35, it's recommended I go and see my GP! So if we don't do it this month, off I go!

lil and count - I'm sorry the hag showed up. :(

rusulka - glad you're being taken seriously by the nhs now. Good luck with the scan ( and the mitreing :o)

I'm being a good girl this month and not noting down any symptoms, just trying to get on with the 2ww! Only 6dpo, so another week to go till I am going to test. I am NOT testing before af is due this month! Let's see how long my resolve holds out!

Hope the sex schedule is going well disco! Welcome alex!

Hi everyone else! :)

Liliana1 · 19/01/2012 07:16

Morning all, any news?

Had the most horrible period pains yesterday that only poured salt on the wound but now picked myself up, brushed myself down and ready to get rid of the witch and start again.

Rusulka NO carrying heavy things but you are pregnant not ill so don't see why you can't do a few things (maybe stay away from chemicals too) - I can imagine with your DIY obsession it must be killing you! Good luck today and hope you get the reassuring news you need. Let us know how it goes.

Rusulka · 19/01/2012 07:46

Red this morning. Not heavy, but still, freaking the fuck out.
Not feeling too hopeful.
Rang EPU (no answer), NHS direct (referred me to out of hours doc), out of hours doc (who rang back and said it was nothing to worry about, and just wait for my scan).
Originally the dr said, if it changes to red, gets heavier, or I get pain, I was to go to A&E.
Don't want to even think that this might be going horribly wrong, but think I may have to accept that it is. At the moment on my other thread, 2 other ladies in same boat have had their early scans- one is mc-ing, the other is fine.
Going to adopt the 'prepare for the worst' approach, that way we can be relieved if it's ok, and not disappointed if it's not.
DH thinks it's my fault for buying 2kg of bird seed yesterday. Carried it home on the bus. I held it close to my body, though, which I would normally do for 25kg, plus I would have thought I would have bled earlier if it was that.
Hmm.

I think I have a bad case of ANGRY CERVIX. Every time I go anywhere or do anything, the spotting gets worse.
I suspect that if everything is ok, they're going to make me stay in bed for the next 7 months.
Wankers.

Keep me a seat free? Just in case? Sad

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 19/01/2012 07:50

Morning ladies. Feeling better than I did yesterday. The news just floored me, was really not expecting it. It's hard to put on a brave face, when no-one knows the struggles that we are going through. Will have to talk about it tonight as well when my mother calls - but hey, there's that brave face again.

Festie i did get some FRERs, BFN of course but looking at my chart, I am wondering if I may have implanted yesterday!?! My temp shot up like a rocket and my CP is finally high and closed!!! I admire your strength to try and not test before AF!! I wish I had that sort of patience :) not going to test now until Saturday - am going to see if my temps get any higher or whether this morning's was just a one off. What a delight the 2ww is. Like Lil said, i have ov'd which is a miracle in itself Grin

Rusulka hope everything goes well with your scan this morning and WHOOP WHOOP for the MW appointment!!! But boooooooo to the men telling you what you can and can't do; i agree that maybe heavy lifting is not ideal but yes, i don't see the problem with helping out in other aspects of the more light DIY - banging a few nails in is surely not going to cause any unecessary strain.

Lil and count so sorry that hag whore pock marked bitch got you - she needs a good kick in her own hoo ha!! We need to send her packing. And Lil sorry that you have had awful pains. It's not fair.

I have no idea when AF is due because i have never gotten this far in the 2ww before, so if no positive on Saturday then I will wait until I am about 18/19dpo and test then (would be a lovely birthday present).

Good luck to those on the sex schedule may it bring lots of fun and that sticky bean this month Grin

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 19/01/2012 07:54

Oh Rusulka - crossed posts there. Oh I really hope everything is ok. What time is your scan? We all have everything crossed for you that this is just, as you said, an angry cervix.

I can't imagine carrying bird seed would cause damage - I mean, what are pg women supposed to do, walk around in a little bubble for 9 months not doing anything?

And no offence to your DH, but i don't think it's very fair him blaming you for this, not really what you want to hear when you are going through this.

You are in my thoughts this morning and I hope that everything is fine.

festiemum · 19/01/2012 09:16

rusulka - so sorry you're going through this. Glad your scan is today though, there's nothing worse than not knowing what's going on.

I remember my second breakthrough bleed with dd1 - it got very red, and very painful and I thought it was game over, but somehow it wasn't. Please be clear though, there's nothing you have done that has caused this. No amount of sex, bird seed carrying, whatever would make this happen.

You are in my thoughts today though, I really hope it's good news. xxx

Discolite · 19/01/2012 10:53

Hi everyone. First of all, I really really hope you get good news at the scan today Rusulka and I reiterate what Festie and Moo said, 2kg is nothing! I mean, do women who are pregnant stop carrying their toddler (who weighs a lot more than 2kg)? Nope. It's perfectly safe.

Moo glad you've got good cervix news! Sorry about the bfn but that dip could be an implantation dip, you never know.

Lil sorry about the period pains...and Count hope AF gets a bit lighter!

I think I've ovulated www.fertilityfriend.com/home/discolite which is good on one hand but annoying on the other - it's two days early, so we didn't DTD meaning no perfect SWI pattern. I also have a doc/nurse appointment next week on Friday at which the doc stipulated no spotting and I could well be spotting by then. So that's another two weeks perhaps until I get another appointment. Still, on the bright side, woo, I've ovulated! And we DTD the day before ovulation at 8pm and then 8am today so I'm still in with a chance. It also means that the 2WW starts earlier so I'll know earlier etc etc etc. I also got my first every tiny bit of EWCM since ttc which is interesting.

Anyway, we'll see if tomorrow brings another high temperature.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 19/01/2012 11:16

Oooh Disco that does sound promising. And SWI seemed to be well timed!! Aren't our bodies wonderful things, doing what they want when they are not really supposed to! And the EWCM sounds promising too; like you I had 2 days of EWCM this month and have not seen it since, so I am really not all that confident sure that I ov'd. This is the furtherst i have ever gotten into the 2ww; the last time FF removed my crosshairs at around 9dpo, so to make it to 12 is amazing Grin

Rusulka · 19/01/2012 17:35

Good news ladies!

It is indeed a bad case of angry cervix.

I couldn't see anything on the screen because the sonographer had all the sympathy and humour of an east german ex-shotputter, plus she had the machine facing the wrong way for me. Inserted the probe like she was stuffing a turkey...

But...

We have a peanut. Grin
In the right place Grin Grin
With no bleeding Grin Grin Grin
...And a heartbeat! Grin Grin Grin Grin

Leaflet at hospital says I have an 85-97% chance of this all working out fine.

I am so relieved!!!

Plus it turns out I haven't had the right phone number for the EPU, which is why I couldn't get through. I've alerted them to it though now.

SiL dropped us home and stayed for lunch, where she pointed out that my spotting started when my MiL came to stay... if it's stopped tomorrow, I think we know what the cause was! Frightened now though, as she'll be back at the beginning of March... on and off for 5 months. REALLY hoping it's not her causing it!

Thankyou so much for your kind words and support, wish you were on my other sodding thread, where most people are pretty much complaining about lack of symptoms. I'm just grateful the peanut is ok. Plus now we can sing the peanut vendor song to it every day.

Moo good luck with your testing, but remember, if you did implant yesterday, that's only 3 days, so HCG won't have had much chance to build up. Mine showed up as light pink line on IC 7 days post implantation.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 19/01/2012 17:43

Rusulka bloody fantastic news am so happy for you, amazing!!! And a relief to know that all is well!! A heartbeat too!! Amazing Grin

Would I be wise then to wait until Maybe Monday to test then? Have some mild cramping at the mo do not sure if AF is waiting in the wings!! Time will tell!! I'm much calmer now!!

Grin and your MiL being the potential problem!!

Rusulka · 19/01/2012 17:49

Moo I do think Monday would be better, personally. But I won't hold it against you if you cave in. I've done about 8 now, lol!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 19/01/2012 18:05

What I might do is monitor temps and if still climbing then I'll test Saturday if high but not climbing I'll wait! And if dropping then fuckity fuck fuck fuck to it all Grin
