As we share this journey!

Go moo! That's brilliant news! Now you can get things moving!

Jam - the symptom spotting is insane, but there can't be a woman ttc who doesn't do it! Hope your 2ww goes quickly!

Lil - glad you're keeping busy and chilled. It's surely the best way to do it!

Flour - sure you're still in the game. 2-3 days is the ideal amount and my boobs have had days of soreness one day and then nothing the next day since I've been pg, so you're still in there!

Hope you got all your SWI in Alex! Wink

Disco - hope you're holding out OK with your scan imminent and enjoying the lovely weather with your puppy!

Rusulka - how's it going now you're publicly pg?!

I am doing OK. Still nauseous, but not vomming as much as before and still tired. Hate this bit of pregnancy!! But nearly out of the 1st trimester - only a couple of weeks to go now!! Looking so big, and still slightly gripped that it might be twins. Hopefully my dating scan date will come through this week!

Hope everyone is well! xx

Rusulka · 12/03/2012 17:59

Hey all, one week down of MiL staying.
Had a minor meltdown yesterday morning, but it improved towards the evening.

Feeling a lot better about things now, just wish I could stop worrying about Peanut. 15 weeks now and apparently they can hear me, and if we could see them, the sex is apparent! Will have to wait for next scan though, grr.
Thinking about getting a fetal doppler to put my mind at rest, but don't want to just waste money. Especially after I bought every crinkly lamaze toy in John Lewis, lol!

Moo hurray, you got your appt through! It's normal to feel apprehensive, but it's a step forward and can only make things easier.

Festie it feels good to not have to hide things when people come round, lol, and I can just browse in whatever shop I like without worrying about anyone seeing me. Phew! Hope your sickiness eases off soon.

JamRagRolyPoly · 13/03/2012 08:38

Thanks festie

rus hope things are better at home w mil! Try not to worry lovely as stress is not good x

Afm well it seems I'm not 5dpo but 3dpo! My temps indicate I ov on cd16 not 14. Hopefully we still have a chance, thanks to you guys saying to get to bed one last time (which was actually the day before ov)

This is going to be the longest tww ever!

alexeliza · 13/03/2012 18:01

Hi All

Moo - great news to hear, thank goodness the appointment's not too far away and that you don't have to wait months (on top of the time you've already waited just to get the actual appointment)!

Jam - thank goodness you managed to get that one last SWI in, and that it stills makes this month viable! It's so frustrating when you don't quite pin point your dates right.....happened to me the first month (but I wasn't temping or monitoring then) and it was only when AF arrived that I worked back and there was absolutely no chance of a BFP. The only silver lining was that I wasn't aware of that fact during the 2ww.

Rus - hope things not too bad with MiL this week. And I echo Jam's message about trying not to worry (although I know that's easier said than done)!

Festie - glad to hear that the vomiting seems to have eased off (although hopefully the nausea will go soon as well!) and that hopefully you should enjoy the next trimester! Have you got the date for your scan through yet?

I think that I may have ov'd yesterday (dip in temp yesterday, and it's gone up today). Am hoping temps over the next two days will also be high just to confirm it. If that is the case, then I think we have just managed to get in there, SWI on Sunday and last night. (Before that, DH was saying he was too tired!!). I had also assumed that ov would be today rather than yesterday so had thought we might have 3-4 days SWI, but sounds like that's not the case. DH has agreed to have another go tomorrow night (just to be sure, and just in case ov is actually later than yesterday).

My sister saw a psychic over the weekend and said that the woman told her that we'd both be having our babies around the same time in February next year. Hers would be a DS, and mine a DD. I'm highly sceptical, but she swears by her. If only....... Anyway, here's to hoping!

JamRagRolyPoly · 14/03/2012 07:25

Thanks Alex welcome to the hideous tww hope it goes fast for you!

Well apparently I'm still 3dpo!!!!!!!!

FF gave me crosshairs this morning for cd17 being my ov day

Can someone have a look? My Chart

I really hope I didn't ov on that day because we didn't have sex at all around that time

If AF comes again, I'll keep temping and will just have sex every other day from cd12-20 I think otherwise I'll never catch the egg.

I'm trying to stay positive still, had a huge amount of creamy cm this morning. Which is good I hope.

Hope everyone else is well

JamRagRolyPoly · 14/03/2012 09:35

Ok it's changed to cd16 and given me full crosshairs now, which seems more likely.

However this gives me a luteal phase of 11/12 days which is very short and could explain why I'm not getting pregnant. If AF comes again I'm going straight to the drs about my lp

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 14/03/2012 09:47

Morning all.

Rusulka hope you are coping well with the MiL :) and that all is well in Chez Rusulka household and with the bean, of course.

Festie glad the ms has eased a bit - not long now until your 12w scan, surely?!?

Alex I would be a bit on the sceptical side as well. My DH knows a bloke at work who claims to be a psychic and told him that we could expect a DS 18 months after our wedding, which would mean that I will be due in October and considering i am not pg, that's highly unlikely. But I do hope that it is true for you.

Jam an 11/12 LP is not short, it's normal. Anything less than 10 days is considered short, and looking at your chart, you SWI'd enough to catch that egg. There is only a 20% chance each month of becoming pg, and that's for healthy couples, so I would not worry just yet.

Lil any news from you?

Nothing to report here; waiting patiently for my appointment. Thinking of moving house. Plants/veg are growing well and all seems ok for the moment.

JamRagRolyPoly · 14/03/2012 10:36

Hey moo, you're right, just did some research and it's normal.

I'm so glad i started charting, we've been SWI on wrong days prior to this month so would explain things taking longer. I always thought I ov earlier, now it's seems I ov later!

If AF comes again I'll just SWI a little later into cycle..

Moo, glad your app is not for to go now! I have my day 21 bloods tomorrow. Glad your gardening is keeping you occupied, I grow veg too, cherry toms, peppers, chillis, beetroot, herbs..I love gardening

festiemum · 14/03/2012 10:51

Wow, get you Barbara Goods! :o

I have a 12 day lp, jam - the way I see it, it makes the 2ww slightly shorter! :) Glad you're getting to the bottom of the best time to SWI though. I don't tend to ov till about cd17, so found charting very helpful in that respect.

Hey moo - glad you're keeping busy while you wait for that appt date to come up.

rusulka - I just got a doppler. Got it off eBay second hand, so it was a bargain. Had one in my last pg but got rid of it cos I thought I was done with baby-making. Found it to be very useful and reassuring, though I know midwives don't like people having them, cos it can be quite hard to find the heartbeat, and they end up with stressed out women banging on their door! I think they're great, as long as you remember that sometimes you won't be able to find the HB and that's OK!

alex - sounds like you're SWI was well-timed this month. Fx! Not sure what to make of the psychic thing, kinda sceptical if I'm honest, but you never know!

Well I'm 11 weeks today, still nauseous and vomming occasionally. Bloody exhausted yet wide awake in the early hours. Moody as hell and seem to have turned against dh quite spectacularly despite the fact he's keeping the place running while I flop about like a dead fish.... Have managed to keep my anti-ds down the last 4-5 days, so hoping they'll start helping again soon.

No scan date yet: grrrrrr. Midwife would have sent my details last weds or thurs which triggers
The scan appt being sent out, so hopefully it'll come through soon. It's gonna be a late one though isn't it? Bound to be.... Oh well, it just means I have to wait a little bit longer before I go public... Though think my tummy is already giving the game away there!

festiemum · 14/03/2012 13:40

Woo hoo! Scan through, and it's much sooner than I thought it would be! Next Friday (23rd)!!!

Btw, hope yours was all good today disco - thinking of you. xx

JamRagRolyPoly · 14/03/2012 13:53

Thats awesome festie hope it goes well

Rusulka · 14/03/2012 17:58

Hello ladies, am coping well atm with MiL, thanks for asking.

Still worried about not feeling Peanut, and getting conflicting info from different sources- apparently they can't hear til 20 weeks, so it's frustrating not actually knowing what they're capable of... I'll just keep chatting to them and singing anyway, I guess.

Festie great that you got your scan date through and it's so soon!

Jam FX for this cycle for you!

Moo am envious of your garden endeavours. There is no food growing in my garden, wah. Well... I have 2 blackcurrant and 1 redcurrant bush, but they're doing sod all. And anyway that's cheating. Need to burn all the piles of crap and branches in the garden so I can plant carrots! Grin

Got a telling off from parents yesterday over my thinking I would need 20 babygrows per age band. Well I don't bloody know! Turns out they can't actually help themselves if they see a nice one, so they're trying to stop me snowballing so we don't end up with a mountain of them. Lol.

Disco any news?

Discolite · 14/03/2012 19:15

Not good news from me I'm afraid. The embryo measured much the same as it did 12 days ago and they still couldn't find a heartbeat. I'm going in on Friday to have a medically managed miscarriage which I'm not looking forward to but the surgical option and having a general anaesthetic seemed a bit drastic. I'm upset and it keep hitting me in waves but I'm determined to try again as soon as I can. I just hope it doesn't take another 7 months to fall pregnant again but at least I know I can get pregnant. The doctor said 97% of women under 35 who have a miscarriage go on to have a successful pregnancy within a year so fingers crossed.

I didn't allow myself to bond with the potential baby cos I knew this could happen...didn't really think it would happen but there you go. DP is being brilliant, so are my family. Taking the pill to start the whole process off wasn't easy.

Anyway, I'll report back here from time to time, especially when we start trying again but I'm mostly feeling older, tireder and a bit less innocent today.

JamRagRolyPoly · 14/03/2012 19:29

So so sorry disco Sad I dont know what to say. Glad your DP and family are there for you. Take care of yourself.

I know many women get pregnant quickly after mc x

Lilliana · 14/03/2012 19:37

Huge hugs Disco, I'm so so sorry. If it is any help my friend miscarried around the same time and got pg again within a few months. Take care of yourself and you know where we are if you need to vent or anything Thanks

Lilliana · 14/03/2012 19:44

Sorry for another post but didn't seem right to put anything elsed in my previous post.

I'm not exactly sure when af is due as my last one was really early but I put it down to travel upset. If my cycles carry on from there as usual she should have arrived yesterday or this am at the latest but so far no sign. However am not remotely excited or optomistic, just assuming she will arrive tomorrow. If she doesn't may think about cracking open a test fri am.

Rusulka everyone keeps telling me you need loads of babygrows as they puke on them all the time Grin

Festie glad you got your scan date and it's soon and I love your description of yourself as flopping around like a dead fish! Poor Dh and you, hope all is back on track soon.

Moo how exciting, are you thinking of moving far?

FX the 2ww goes quickly for you Jam and Alex

Take care everyone

Rusulka · 14/03/2012 19:45

So sorry Disco. Remember that you're super fertile with all the right hormones and stuff floating around in you still, an ideal environment for a new egg- it's like putting up flypaper! When you feel ready to, go for it. When we had our chemical, we put on a sad CD and did our crying and grieving to that. It really helped.
Take care of yourself. x x x

alexeliza · 14/03/2012 20:27

Disco, so sorry to hear your news. Sending you lots of e-hugs.....will be thinking of you and DP. As Rus says, when you feel ready go for it. It's not a huge consolation at the moment but at the least, you know that you can get pg. FX it will happen again very quickly for you. We're all here for you!! xxxx

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 14/03/2012 20:39

Oh Disco I am so so sorry for what you are going through. We are here whenever you need us. Sending you big hugs.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 14/03/2012 20:43

Lil moving back to Liverpool (we live in Newton-le-Willows at the moment). We've never really felt comfy here and I really miss where we used to live!!

Plants are coming along nicely, sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage and beet root all sprouting and I managed to chit my potatoes today. can't wait until the weekend when I can have a proper go :)

Lilliana · 14/03/2012 20:54

Sorry, you did what to your potatoes?!?

Marking sats papers, had to laugh as one 7 yr old had written at the end of his story ... it was all a wet dream!

alexeliza · 14/03/2012 21:01

Lil - how sweet, you must have a good laugh at times!

Moo - good luck with the move. Maybe it could be a case of with everything involved in the move, you could find yourself pg? Murphy's law or something like that? FX!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 14/03/2012 21:14

Ha ha Lil love that story! Brilliant!

Chitting potatoes is when you put them into a container, preferably an egg box, and allow the shoots to grow. Once they have grown you can plant out. I have a veg sack to put them in. Hoping to get that done at the weekend.

Alex I'm half hoping that the added distraction will aid TTC but until I have my HSG I'm not allowed to try. I am still concerned that both my tubes will be blocked and damaged beyond repair. Fingers crossed that it will just be the PCOS and nothing more!!

alexeliza · 14/03/2012 21:31

Moo - bring on the HSG appointment!! Hopefully it will all be sorted before you do move, and it will just be the PCOS...... and then bring on the house move and getting a BFP with all the distraction!!

festiemum · 14/03/2012 22:18

Oh jesus, disco, I am so so sorry.

Anything I say will be inadequate at the moment, but rest assured that many of us took a collective sigh at your news and are sending you much love, support and big squeezy hugs.

Please use us, if you want to offload, and be as kind to yourself as you possibly can.
