Feeling good things for all still wanting to stay aboard our Flight BFP2012- Welcome one and all!
As we share this journey!

Discolite · 26/02/2012 11:33

Hi everyone, just quickly dropping in to say hello. I've been having good days and bad days, nearly threw up just now because I ate half an apple. I'm fed up of stodge but my stomach says no to healthy food. Sigh. Anyway, hope you all have a good sunday either SWI, SS or whatever it is you are doing!

Rusulka · 26/02/2012 16:58

Lil the pics came out great. Have added them to my profile if anyone would like to see Peanut!
Doesn't look like there's much room in there- hope they're not getting squished...

Accidentally bought more plants today. Damn you Morrisons and all your exciting plants for pence!

Mum and Dad are coming down to visit tomorrow, I can't wait. They get to see the scan pics- are the last ones to, in fact, except my sister- and it'll be really nice having them to myself while DH is at work- I'll even be able to hug the dog!!!
Maybe get them out in the garden, if it's nice. My mum will be ripping weeds up, she's a terrible fidget if there's weeds.

Hope everyone's had a great weekend.

Lilliana · 26/02/2012 17:29

Wow Rusulka you have a tiny person growing inside you Grin Always find it amazing when I stop and think about it. Great pics.

Disco sorry you're feeling rough, at least it is for a positive reason.

festiemum · 26/02/2012 17:56

Oh rusulka, your pictures made me cry- but it was good cathartic crying. It makes it seem worthwhile, doesn't it?

Thanks everyone for your stroking re dh. winkly - you're right really, he was being sweet. He was at great pains to make it clear that he didn't think I was malingering. Anyway, I rang the midwife, made my booking appt and had a chat with her about it. She (as I suspected) was sympathetic but unimpressed and gave me a number to ring if I'm not managing to keep liquids down. All of this calmed dh anyway! She did say it can go on til week 16-18! Shock thanks for that love; I'm nearly 9 weeks and counting on it easing off in the next couple of weeks!

It really has been unremittingly grim this weekend too.

Glad you're feeling happy lil - sure it helps! Hope af hasn't turned up for the ladies waiting. And that your sickness isn't too misery making disco - big sympathy from over here! xx

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 26/02/2012 19:30

Oh Rusulka pics of bean are truly truly amazing :) it really is a wonderful thing.

Festie glad you have managed to speak to someone and are getting sorted. Really hope it does not go on until week 18 though!!

Oh Disco sorry you too are feeling rough but hopefully it will pass soon enough.

Sorry haven't been able to have a proper update on all posts have had a very busy weekend. It's been lovely. Plus Liverpool won to add to the joy Grin

Nothing to update you on here though. Still plodding along in my epically long cycle and still no HSG appointment

Rusulka · 26/02/2012 19:46

Festie DH was awestruck at the scan. Grin
I'm glad to see things have progressed since the panic scan, but I'm still not convinced there's anyone in there... I think once I start getting bigger (than my usual fat belly) and can feel Peanut moving, it will be more real though. God knows how long that'll be, I expect the NHS have a leaflet somewhere explaining how the fatter you are, the less you feel. [glaring at NHS emoticon]

Moo you will get there. Honest. And if you don't hear anything, I'll get my dad in- he defies all medical recommendations and routinely enjoys pulling out canulas (sp?) and self-discharging. I'm sure a short chat with your consultant would result in some pretty sharpish appointments!
When he was suffering with liver disease and the resulting water retention, a consultant told him he was obese- my dad said 'so are you'. Grin

Lil keep being happy! Sunshine helps.

Disco I nearly threw up yesterday after half a banana- I got partway down and hit a 'lump'. Had to spit it out, and the smell of the bin made me gag! I've normally been ok though, just have to be careful not to overeat. I found gingernuts really helped in the early days.

Right. Off to spend the rest of the evening cataloguing board games with DH. We've got a lot...

Winkly · 26/02/2012 22:33

Your scan pics are lovely Ru.

Ladies good luck with your pregnancies. I think I need to disembark this flight and leave you to it :(

Brockle · 26/02/2012 23:43

Is there a spare seat, last minute I know but it was a last minute decision! Two gorgeous DS's (3yo and 6yo) and after a pregnancy scare last month the DH and I thought we would give DC3 a go. Already furiously re-organising my house in head to fit a DC3 in..

AF due on 10th March so a long way to go.... Really lucky with my first two so fingers crossed. Better go and seduce the DH....

Lilliana · 27/02/2012 07:16

winkly so sorry you are finding things tough. Are you thinking of stopping ttc or just giving MN a break? Understand either way - it can be a rollercoaster (and not always a fun one :() Look after yourself, you'll be missed if you do go and you know where we are if you want us xx

Welcome Brockle, grab a seat, Wine Brew Biscuit on the trolly, help yourself.

Moo glad you have had a good weekend, long may the happiness last.

Rusulka I wish my DH would play board games with me but he hates them :(

Festie so hope it doesn't last till week 18 Shock I always heard it got better after week 12! Glad that your MW has reassured your DH and hope it isn't for much longer.

All seems to be going well here. A far amount of SWI going on and I think we're coming up to ov time (not 100% as not temping/poaos but from prev cycles the next few days should be it.)

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 27/02/2012 09:11

Morning Ladies. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Lil unfortunately the happiness was short lived; have woken in a foul mood this morning for no apparent reason, especially as i have the day off work as well. Just feel really angry and weepy. Coupled with the cramps, headache and sorely boobs, I have a feeling that the fake AF is on its way (i say fake because as I don't ov it can't be real AF). Which is good because then I can have a look and see what next cycle is doing, but is bad because i still don't have my HSG appointment (NHS at the moment are truly rubbish - what if there are more problems and not just the PCOS).

Rusulka I might be taking you up on that offer of getting your dad on side if they don't pull their finger out soon. I have heard of loads of women having the HSG done the same month as their consultant appointment. Where is mine FFS. No good sending me out letters asking me if i still want it done Angry

Welcome Brockle I think Lil has pointed you in the direction of all the necessary items. Hope this flight is a lucky one for you :)

Winkly this TTC lark can be so hard for us ladies sometimes. You just have to try and remain as positive as you can (i know all to well though that it is definitely easier said than done). Good luck in your endeavours and you know where we are if you ever want to come back.

Festie and Disco hope the m/s has eased (or gone completely!!).

Right am off for a shower and then I am going to make some bagels and eggs, even though bagels are not strictly allowed at the moment (I am starting the GI diet as I have heard it can help with the PCOS; plus i need to lose some weight). Will pop in later :)

JamRagRolyPoly · 27/02/2012 18:23

Hey everyone Smile

Nothing to report here, just waiting for period to end so we can start SWI! DP is prepped and ready Grin

Went for my day 3 bloods today even though I'm on cd4 as clinic was shut yesterday. DP is taking his stuff in soon for analysis too.

Did my first temp this morning. Not sure if it's going to work for me as I wake up several times in the early morning, but I'll give it a shot.

Hope everyone is ok x

alexeliza · 27/02/2012 21:01

Rusulka, the scan photos are wonderful!! They make it seem so real!!

Disco/Festie - hope the morning sickness improves very soon so you can both go on to enjoy being pg (especially after the efforts to get pg!).

Lil - enjoy the SWI, hopefully the chilled approach this time will be what works this time!!

Moo - I can't believe that the NHS is being so slow.... I hope you get you HSG appointment as soon as you can. And if fake AF is on it's way, as you say at least you'll be able to see what the next cycle is doing, but it would be more helpful if the NHS could just pull their finger out, so you could get your appointment!! Hope the bagels and eggs were lovely this morning!

Jam - I'm going to show my naivety, but wondering what your tests are for? Are you looking at fertility?

I'm still in limbo and just waiting...... for whenever AF decides to show itself. Temps still high, 20DPO. Just wondering WTH is going on. Possibly FF got ov date wrong? But temps seem to back FF chart up, so really not sure at all. Nausea has improved a little today (my friend has suggested that it is no doubt psychosomatic given how much I want to be pg!). Anyway, still waiting....

Discolite · 27/02/2012 22:26

Smashing scan pics Rusulka! And I know what you mean about Morrisons, they sell small good plants for cheap unlike garden centres who seem to think no-one has the patience to let plants grow!

Festie my sickness is nowhere near as bad as yours but I am soooo fed up of people telling me 'Oh, you've only got another 4 weeks to go and then it'll be ok!' When all you feel like doing is puking another 4 hours of nausea seems like too long never mind a frickin' month...cheery midwife there btw!

What's up Winkly? Come back and tell us about it. I'm sure we'll understand and we'll definitely do our best to try to make you feel better...

Glad you are feeling positive Lil! Fingers crossed it works for you this cycle!

Moo you are entitled to be almightily pissed off. When all you want is to get pregnant the wait can be interminable and although much of the time the NHS is great, in this case it does seem to be taking for ever...I hope the bagels and eggs worked as an antidepressant.

Jam good luck with the SWI! And the day 3 tests.

Alex 20 dpo? Something has to happen soon! I know you had a BFN a couple of days ago but if no sign of AF in a couple of more days I'd retest.

Welcome Brockle!

Today has been relatively nausea free (apart from retching every time I go near puppy poo, poor DP has to deal with that at the moment) and I even added a new form of acceptable protein to my 'doesn't make me vom' list. Fishfingers! Hurrah! Now I have an alternative to cheese or beans, phew. Last night I could only manage a cheese sandwich for dinner, today I had fishfingers, peas and baked potato. To think a month ago I could eat such exotic fare as curry, risotto and drink hot drinks...one day I'll fancy coffee again...

JamRagRolyPoly · 28/02/2012 07:17

Alex yes to check my hormones and if I'm ovulating or not. The day 3 ones test LH and fsh I think. The day 21 checks progesterone. My DP is giving his sample in this week too.

Thanks discolite

Lilliana · 28/02/2012 07:24

Disco sorry about the sickness but limited food choices must make the weekly shop somewhat simpler Grin

Alex agree with Disco, at 20dpo something is going on. When are you going to test? There are some ladies that don''t get a bfp on hpt for ages (and apparently some never do but don't know anyone personally)

Jam another shiny new cycle - glad to hear DH is ready on the starting line and hope this is your month.

Moo is there not some serious NHS ass that you can kick? It's not good enough to keep you hanging on for so long when others get theirs so much faster. Any sign of the hag? Hope you had a good day in the end, I hate it when you feel lke that for no apparent reason

No real news; still having lots of swi Grin it seems that me stepping back has made Dh step up! Think I will be ov'ing today/tomorrow. Bit hard to tell as last af was out due to time changes and travelling so will just have to keep going for the rest of the week.

JamRagRolyPoly · 28/02/2012 09:21

Thank you Lilliana Smile

I've just booked a consult with a fertility reflexologist. I have a very stressful, non stop job so I'm wondering if a weekly massage could help de-stress and get me a bfp sooner. Couldn't hurt anyway.

Brockle · 28/02/2012 11:14

Feeling yucky today. I know its too early but felt very delicate the last couple of days. A lot like my first two pgs. There is an actual packet of chocolate biccies in the cupboard that I have not touched. This is unheard of. I hate symptom spotting :(

I am sure it is just overtiredness as my little DS is ill so last two nights have not involved much sleep. Supposed to be in work today but I didn't want to leave him. Working from home is not involving much work.

Now I'm starving and nauseous all at the same time. Sack this "working" malarkey I am going to go and watch Little Charley Bear and cuddle my hot potato!

Lilliana · 29/02/2012 07:20

Jam massage is nice for any reason and getting pg is a good one Grin

Sorry you're feeling yuck Brockle hope you had a nice day with your DS and you're both feeling better today.

DH is now upset as he thinks we're not having enough swi! He has become the obsessed one while I'm chilling with the 'if it happens great but I'm going to enjoy it' attitude.

Where is everyone? V quiet in here atm. Hope everyone is ok and just busy swi :)

alexeliza · 29/02/2012 20:02

Hi all
Just quickly popping in.
No luck on the testing front - tried this morning and still showing negative. I've booked a doctor's appointment for next week so we'll see what happens there. Still no AF or sign of it..... and temps still high (FF keeps telling me that I have over 18 DPO of high temperatures (you don't say!!), please test, you may be pg!!). I just want AF to start so I can focus on the next cycle.
Hope everyone is well and as Lil says, busy swi!!

Lilliana · 01/03/2012 07:18

Heeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooooo?
Where the hell is everyone?

Hi Alex, that must be so frustrating, esp if ff rams it down your throat every morning. Really hope you get some (good) answers soon.

Had lots of EWCM yesterday so fx we have hit the right time. Hope everyone has a good daay wherever you are!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 01/03/2012 08:38

Morning everyone!!!

Sorry I have been AWOL; have been down in the big smoke doing some surveys and my time has not been my own. Yesterday I managed to get on 9, yes 9, different tubes/trains. Bloody knackered. Worse still, I now have 2 days to write the surveys up and I am out of the office for most of today in meetings!!! Suffice to say I have not had time to knit, which is most depressing because it was coming along nicely. I will make those knitted chicks in time for easter

Alex sorry for the BFN. It's bloody frustrating. Last cycle, when I actually managed to lay an egg, FF also told me the same thing. I. Am. Still. Not. Pregnant. Aaaaaaaaargh. If I had not changed the spotting I had to light flow, I would currently be on 50dpo or something ridiculous. This TTC lark is not an exact science, I am quickly learning.

Lil YEY for EWCM (never thought I would hear myself say that :)) happy SWI'ing.

There is absolutely nothing to report on the TTC front with me at the moment. Kind of feel in limbo. CD50 today so hopefully a fresh new cycle should start in the next 27 days. Can't SWI because there is no point, not in the 2ww so can't SS and not approaching ov, so can't turtle. I am also still waiting for my effing HSG appointment. My patience is waning.

Hope everyone has a good day. :)

JamRagRolyPoly · 01/03/2012 10:23

Hey everyone, sorry it's been quiet, guess we're all in that boring limbo.

I'm just waiting to ov.

Temping has been ok, think my restlessness early in the morning really affects it though so not sure it's going to be much help.

Heres the link: My Ovulation Chart

Seems a bit spiky Confused

Have my consultation with the fertility reflexologist tomorrow, she sent me a big form to fill out. Looking forward to it.

moo I hope AF comes soon and you get your appointment. 9 trains?

Lilliana excellent news re the ewcm, hope this is your month!

iloveberries · 01/03/2012 18:27

HI Ladies, just checking in to see how you are...

JamRag - I know a LOT of people who have fallen pregnant shortly after starting reflexology. It's also soooo relaxing and lovely. Hope you don't minf me saying but don't get stung on paying lots for a specific "fertility" reflexologist though - they should all be able to do the same thing....

alex - don't be disheartened by the BFNs..... as mooley says it's not over till the hag appears!! The high temps sound REALLY positive though. Any other symptoms?

mooley - i was in the smoke today too - wow, maybe we saw eachother!! Hope you're doing ok love.

disco and festie - sorry about the sickness ladies, it sounds AWFUL. BUT it's also known to be a sign of a healthy pregnancy so maybe focus on that?? Is that at all possible??!

rusulka - scan pics are lovely. congratulations again. :)

I'm 6 weeks now and feeling so so grateful and happy to be pg but not doing so well at the relaxing bit. I think when you've tried for a baby for a while it all seems so much more fragile. Only symptoms are big heavy boobs and occasional nausea. Nothing like with DS when i was knocked out with exhaustion from 5 weeks. Keeping healthy though and fingers crossed it will all be okay.

Just wanted to check in and say hi to you all xx

JamRagRolyPoly · 01/03/2012 19:11

Thanks berries, shes a regular reflexologist but specialises in fertility and pregnancy. I'll see how the consult goes before I commit. My sister has worried me though and said she nearly fainted after a session (not same practitioner) so I'm a little worried now..

Glad you're doing well and not too exhausted x

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 01/03/2012 19:24

Hello berries glad everything is progressing well. Must be hard to not have the odd worry though.

Jam yes I too have heard reflexology is great for getting that BFP. Let's hope it works for you. Had a quick glance at your chart, you need a few more temps. Remember it's the overall picture you are looking for and not individual temps.

Just a quick one, I have really yellow pee......like almost illuminous. I have missed 2 folic acid pills because of being in London so it can't be linked to that. Plus I have been drinking a fair amount. Anyone else ever had this? Could it be an infection?
