Jam it really helped pinpoint when I was ov-ing, and gave me a good idea of what my cycles looked like temp wise, and if there were any variations on ovulation.

Berries that was very daring! I don't think I could throw tampons away unless I was trying to give them up... would be too afraid of not being prepared! I would have gone the opposite way and STOCKED UP as sod's law, that would be the month I got pg. Not that they run out or anything, but still. Grin

Winkly · 24/02/2012 00:38

I can't sleep, and I can't help symptom spotting :-( Some serious nausea the last few days, enough to fully prevent me eating, which NEVER happens - eating is my normal nausea cure.

4 days til AF arrives to make a mockery of my symptom spotting. At least last month's PMT of misery & awfulness doesn't appear to be making a return visit. Small mercies, eh?

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 24/02/2012 06:02

Prepare for a rant

*

Well I am completely fucked off. Took my temp as usual this morning, same as yesterday's, though great its not dipped again. Entered it into FF and it's fucking removed my crosshairs. FFS!!!!!!! 18dpo and my crosshairs gone. Well thanks body for being completely wanky and FF for being completely useless. Surely it could have determined a lot sooner that there was no fecking ov pattern detected. Oh no, let's not do that. Let's get Moo's hopes up that she managed to lay an egg on her own again. Aaaaaaargh Angry

So looks like another epic cycle for me. If I ever get pg it will be a miracle.

*

Rant over.

JamRagRolyPoly · 24/02/2012 07:35

winkly hang on in there!

moo Im so sorry lovely, so does that definitely mean you didnt ov? can I join you? The bitch got me this morning Sad I'm sad but not going to get too down. Onto the next cycle, I'm looking forward to temping. Going to read up all the tutorials on FF.

Can I ask, have you had your day 3 and day21 bloods to determine ov? I've got mine this month. A friend of mine wasn't ovulating after the pill and she went private to get a short HRT to get it going again.

Lilliana · 24/02/2012 07:52

Moo you know ff gets things wrong and is only a machine, don't put too much faith in it. Any further on with the clomid? Hope you're not on another epic cycle. Get out the corner and keep knitting to try to keep your mind off it.

Sorry Rusulka no help on the bra front, small boobs here too :( However wow! Aren't they heavy?! Glad you are feeling positive and happy :)

Jam sorry hag got you. Moo seems to have covered the basics in temping so won't repeat but ask on here if you need any help (moo is queen of ttc!) I have the same thermometer as moo too!

Winkly hope the nausea is a good sign but sorry your feeling horrible. Make sure you get enough fluids if you're not eating

Wow Berries agree I would never be brave enough to throw them away! I do put off buying a new pack till af appears as 'I might not need them'. Maybe I need a bigger commitment!!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 24/02/2012 07:55

Jam so sorry that the witch got you. Glad you are feeling positive though. Next month you will crack it, I am sure :)

I have had all the tests that they can do. Because of my epically long cycles, they can't do day 3 and 21 bloods because my cycles can be anything from 23 days to 77 or more and as I don't always ovulate they would not be able to pinpoint when these days would be. Even when I have AF, it's not proper AF (much lighter and tends to be more brown than red) because it's just the lining coming away rather than an egg breaking down.

I have PCOS so i tend to not ovulate all that often (January was the first time my body laid an egg since May 2011). I am waiting not so patiently for my HSG appointment and then I can go on Clomid to help my ovaries release the egg. I am, somewhat weirdly, excited about getting my HSG appointment and getting the Clomid because I know feel that this will really boost my chances of conceiving. I have spoken to the hospital to let them know that i want to go ahead with the procedure, but I can't have sex the cycle that i have it done because you can't be pg when it takes place (probably due to the tube entering the cervix and the dye that is released). I have heard a lot of women get pg on the cycle following the HSG because it clears everything out. :)

Feeling a bit more positive since my rant this morning. Am off work until Tuesday now as well and am determined to clean the house and be very productive.

Might even treat myself to a nice glass of wine tonight even though i was giving it up for lent

Winkly · 24/02/2012 08:10

Oh moo, sod Lent and enjoy.a.drink. Perhaps the no-sex cycle.will help you psychologically, as you won't be able to drive yourself mad temping and charting and planning shags. With any luck then the Clomid will give your ovaries the kick up the arse they need to get ovulating.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 24/02/2012 08:18

Lil you are right; it is just a machine, but it kind of confirmed my thoughts all along really. Did not feel that ov had happened this month for some reason. I think it was the fact that I had some hope because FF had identified ov, I would have been less shocked at say 10 or 11 dpo, but to make it all the way to 18 was just too much this morning.

Next cycle (hopefully aided by Clomid) I am going to stop checking my CP as it is no help anyway. I am not going to buy any tests until I am way past the normal LP range of at least 16 and there will be absolutely, 100%, NO SSing.

Berries it must have been your womanly intuition that urged you to throw away the tampons. Good on you. Like the others, I would not have been so brave :)

Rusulka no help I am afraid in the booby holder department, but I do hope that you get something soon. Maybe have a look on line, it might have to be a purchase from a specialist.

Winkly glad that last months PMS symptom has not made an appearance. Could be a good thing. Not so good on the nausea though. Hope it's short-lived and that you get that BFP soon :)

festiemum · 24/02/2012 08:51

rusulka Emma Jane go up to a 'k' and amazon stock them, though I recommend going and getting a fitting. My local department store fitted mine last pg and they were so comfy. Most dept store lingerie departments carry Emma Jane, I think.

Oh moo, I'm sorry about your cross hairs - ff can fuck off! Do you have appt dates yet?

Sorry the whore got you, jam and big congrats to berries!

I am still in the same boat here. Still very sick. Dr gave me some anti sickness pills, which do something, but also make me very, very drowsy. Then, some times (like this morning, for example), I can't even keep it down, so it's useless really! Pretty miserable tbh, dh is doing everything, which I know is getting him down. Oh, I hope it passes soon! 8w3d, so could be a while yet!

Hope you're all doing ok anyway. Xxx

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 24/02/2012 08:57

Oh Festie so sorry to hear that you are still feeling rubbish. Gosh, we fuss and fight to get pg and then our bodies almost turn on us. Glad the GP gave you something but I really really do hope that it passes soon.

No appointment date yet. DH dropped off his 2nd SA yesterday so I am hoping that the results from that our positive. Couldn't handle him having a low sperm count or poor motility or something on top of everything that is going on with me.

Knitting is coming along tremendously. My goal is to be able to knit little characters (hopefully some fluffy chicks in time for Easter, although that might be a bit ambitious considering I am currently knitting a scarf Blush).

festiemum · 24/02/2012 08:57

That Emma Jane bra I found on amazon was a nursing bra actually, d'oh! But can be used in pregnancy too. Here's the link:

big ole' bra

festiemum · 24/02/2012 08:59

Yay for knitting! I've just got myself some wool and a cardi pattern, thinking as I'm sitting here feeling rubbish, I might as well try and do something practical. Keep going wrong though - don't think my concentration is all it should be at the mo!

festiemum · 24/02/2012 09:29

Just had dh come in and go on and on about how worried he is, and how this isn't normal, and that other people have morning sickness and get on with it, and don't stay in bed, and that should I be in hospital etc etc etc.
That's made me feel really good all round. I can tell you.
Bah!

Rusulka · 24/02/2012 10:12

Festie if all women were the same, life would be boring and some men would never find the love of their life. You tell DH that! Sounds to me like you don't have hyperemesis, but are still off the chart for regular MS. A lot of the ladies on my September thread have been 'vommy mommys' (not my term!) but it's tailing off around the 12 week mark when the placenta kicks in on hormone production. So less than a month to go! And if it still hasn't gone, you can look into it further then. And you can also tell him that the sicker you are, the stronger the baby is- then ask if he really wants you to not be so sick? Sure he'll change his mind...
I will look into the Emma Jane bras, although if John Lewis stock them, it might mean getting the baps out in front of SiL! (she works on that dept). Still, I get 25% off, so it would be worth it! (Even if she is scarred for life, lol.)

FX for a good result Winkly!

Lil they have been humungous since my early 20s, and hanging down like udders since I was a late teenager. My mum's nipples still point at eye level, do I obviously haven't inherited hers... which means they're from my... dad?!? Hmm
I refer to them as National Geographic boobies, you only ever see boobs like this on the Serengheti...

Sorry the hag got you Jam- still you get to try temping this cycle, which is quite exciting!

And Moo... Fuck Lent. Drink wine. Knit chickens. Think positive. X X X

JamRagRolyPoly · 24/02/2012 10:38

Thanks everyone.

Moo I understand now, I hope the clomid goes well when you finally get it!
glad you're feeling more positive.

festie sorry you're still feeling rotten, love. I swear by my ginger tea. Look after yourself and do whatever makes you feel better.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 24/02/2012 11:05

:) and Grin at your National Geographic boobies Rusulka and yes, positivity is the way forward most definitely. I'm not even that religious, just thought Lent would be a good excuse to cut back on the drinking. Epic fail, but a good epic fail Grin

I think not drinking is like not smoking, you have to have will power and want to not do it. I have no will power and definitely do not want to stop :)

Festie it's official. Men. Are. Rubbish. They just don't get it. I echo what Rusulka said, if you are feeling this rubbish then the baby must be really strong and doing well. Not good for you, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it will be here soon enough and then hopefully you can enjoy the rest of the pregnancy.

I am having a very productive day. Have been to the docs and got DH's prescription and inhalers. Have been shopping and bought some nice goodies for Friday Night Movie Night :) have done 2 loads of washing, done the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, mopped the kitchen floor, put the washing away and am about to embark on cleaning the bathroom before making some nice buttery crumpets, a cup of coffee and finished off with a choccy digestive or 3 2.

Am going to have a relaxed afternoon watching Harry Potter fest, attempting to complete my jigsaw and continue knitting my scarf. Knitted Chicks here we come!!!! Grin

Winkly · 24/02/2012 13:32

Aw Festie I think your husband is being quite sweet. He's obviously concerned, and you'd have a lot more to complain about if he was saying you were malingering and needed to get a grip, or that it was just mind over matter Grin

I am trying to remain pessimistic.

I am a terrible terrible knitter. I wanted to knit a blanket when Dsis was pregnant. Managed about 3 rubbish lines.

Winkly · 24/02/2012 14:13

Oh and regarding the nausea - some fucker at work was eating microwaved kedgeree this morning. KEDGEREE, ffs. Not helpful.

alexeliza · 25/02/2012 13:31

Hi all,
I'm back from abroad and now just trying to catch up with everything this weekend. Not looking forward to work on Monday!!
Just about to go back through the posts since I last read them.....
Feeling slightly depressed and confused at the moment. I tested this morning (18 DPO) as AF was due c21 Feb and it didn't show. I was actually feeling a little hopeful (despite worrying about a possible food poisoning last week) as AF hasn't showed yet, I have been feeling nauseous all last week and it seems to be getting worse. It was negative so I was so disappointed...... just wish this nausea would go away, especially if it's not related to being pg (why am I feeling so sick all the time - grrrr!!!) and AF would come so I can start the next cycle. Temps are still high though - FF had me down as being triphasic, which seemed to be a positive sign of being pg, but no luck on the test. Hurry up AF so I can get started again!!!!
Sorry for the rant..... being sick and depressed is not a great combination!!
Alex

alexeliza · 25/02/2012 14:05

Updating stats - although not sure what to amend mine to at the moment until AF shows!

Hi Alex, hope you had a good holiday and sorry about the nausea - you do know though that some ladies don't get a BFP for quite a while after af is due so don't give up hope yet.

Festie sorry you are feeling rubbish. It is normal, I know 2 people who had a really tough 1st trimester and were pretty much bedridden but it will pass. Hope you are feeling happier and better.

Winkly when are you testing? Are you holding out for AF?

Moo sounds like a very productive day, If you would like ot come and do the same in our house you'd be very welcome. Nice evening planned too :)

Rusulka Grin at national geographic boobies.

I'm feeling very positive and chilled about ttc. Not temping has been easier than I thought and we have only SWI when we feel like it, not because we think we should. Things are lovely with DH and I think this was the best move. Weirdly he is now saying things like 'shouldn't we swi?... we must be on day 11 so should start thinking about swi more often ...' He had no interest when I actually knew what cd I was on, the month I don't he becomes interested!!

Had a lovely eve out last night at my friends leaving do, still feeling a little rough but so worth it. Diet is also out the window and feel happier than I have for ages Grin Grin Grin

Rusulka · 25/02/2012 19:24

Keep it up Lil! Happiness works! Grin

Alex sorry your AF is dicking you about. Try testing again in a few days to see whats what.

Spent a productive afternoon in the garden with DH in the sunshine and got some plants and bulbs in. Feeling quite happy about that.
Still not countersunk the holes in the skirting boards though... can't be arsed!
Currently trying to scan in pics of Peanut but new wireless printer can't see my laptop. Bloody IP address conflicts!!!

lil it's great that you've been feeling so positive, long may it continue.

I'm expecting AF on my due date, PMT has kicked in with a vengeance this afternoon. I don't want to see a BFN so I'm going to keep well away from tests.

Lilliana · 25/02/2012 22:36

Yuck, sorry about the pmt winkly hope it's not too bad.

Rusulka sounds like a lovely afternoon, sod the countersinking whatever that is and enjoy the sun while it's around. How did your scan pics come out? Are they clear?
