So glad all is ok Disco and hope bean comes out of hiding for the next one.

I never really wanted to go to Vegas either (maybe it's a man thing?!) I reluctantly agreed to go for a couple days went when we travelled around LA / san francisco a few years ago. As berries says Disney land for adults is the expression we used too and 2 days just wasn't enough to see it all so we always said we would go back again. I'm not keen on gambling but it is actually not a necessity with all the other things going on. (Berries I think I was a bit of a snob about it too Grin)
The outfit went down really well, thanks for all the support on it everyone, I'm now back to jeans and jumpers!!

How are you feeling Berries? Hope not too sick.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 22/02/2012 07:36

Glad all is ok with the beans Disco and Rusulka. Disco, sorry that you have a shy bean. Hopefully by the next scan it will be on full show :)

Jam until that bitch swoops in on her manky broom, it is far from over. Hope she has stayed away today. Have you tested again or are you holding out for a few more days?

Knitting is going slow, didn't manage to do anything last night. This cycle is going even slower though. Technically (I say technically because I am still not convinced I ov'd) I am on 16dpo, huge temp drop below the coverline this morning, AF was due yesterday. Not even a hint. Not even going to test anymore because I am tired of seeing the stark white BFN and it really is depressing. I think she is on her way though - I am craving chocolate like no-one's business. Even had a milky bar this morning with my coffee Blush and have bought a ripple. Don't usually have a sweet tooth.

JamRagRolyPoly · 22/02/2012 07:41

Hi Moo Smile

I tested again this morning bfn, still having cramps but mild. Usually with AF I get full blown cramps after I start bleeding. But I know our bodies play tricks on us when ttc!

I'm sure she's on her way too, my skin is awful and my legs are wobbly.

Glad AF hasn't got you yet

Relaxbaby · 22/02/2012 09:26

Hi Everyone,

Sorry just seen am mia!

Not logged on here in awhile. Been up and down.

Had consultant app and been told can go on clomid after another scan. Need to wait for that appointment.

Hoping we get preg naturally this month.

Congratulations to all the upgrades. Good luck to us all waiting for good news now.

Relaxbaby (31) ttc#2 cycle 20 af due 10th March

Rusulka · 22/02/2012 11:40

Relax that's great news. Must be such a relief to know there's light at the end of the tunnel... and that it's such a short tunnel! Lol.

Lil glad the outfit went down well. I've always wanted to go to Vegas too, (my dad said it was pretty good), my mum is doing the snob thing. Ah well.

Moo why don't you stop peeing on sticks for a while? It'll save money AND your sanity. Get to grips with that knitting, and go tear your consultant a new one over getting some tests done.
I've been referring to my consultant as the fat consultant. Given how similar it sounds, I might start referring to him as the fat controller, considering how much of an influence he has over what my options are. Let's hope he thinks I'm a really useful engine...lol!

Disco don't worry about an unco-operative tiddler. My sonographer made me move from my back, to my right side, to my left side, to my back again, because she couldn't get a clear pic for the NT, and peanut didn't shift once. Lazy git! So I had to go off and drink another pint of water, despite the pics being awesomely clear, only to go back after an excruciating 35 minutes during which I did a pretty good impression of Riverdance in the waiting room. Peanut moved slighty- upside down, lol. All the pics were much worse, so I don't know how she saw anything. I think she had the contrast down too low (IMHOAAP) (as a photographer) Grin

FX for a no-show Jam!

Maisie I bet you're looking forward to your 'told you so' moment with the NHS! Stupid sodding wheels, pigeonholing everyone into one box. Grr. If it results in them sending your for an NT scan too early, and your trust says you can't have another one, you are well within your rights to kick up a shit storm since you have been telling them your dates all the way through. Happened to someone on my September thread- and because it was the NHS's error, it all got sorted. Don't be fobbed off!

News here- talked to my mum this morning, and turns out she went and bought something off ebay for peanut...before the scan. she didn't tell my dad, so he didn't know when I rang to ask if anyone had got anything. So now I am officially not allowed to be pissed off with MiL. Damn! Have had to skype MiL and send a message apologising, has been a bit awkward. She's coming to stay on 04/03 so I wanted to get it all cleared by then, will be talking to her on skype later (don't want to, sulk). But I can't be angry with my mum, especially as she showed me what it was and I like it too, which is probably why she did it. I will be having stern words with her when I hopefully see her this weekend. I'm not going to take back what I said to MiL, but if she hasn't given the thing away yet, then I won't make her. I just hope it's not bloody awful...lol.

I just can't understand why someone can get not to tell people, but not get that they shouldn't buy anything. Same issue! ARGH!

My current standing now is, knit if you want (not MiL, don't trust her), if anything we know we want is on s stupendous offer before we get the letter, then fine, we'll get it. But otherwise, we're waiting for the damn letter!!!!!
(Better be quick, people here can't seem to help themselves)

Ooh what an epic rant.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 22/02/2012 13:28

Oh no Rusulka what a calamity. Your dear Ma should have said nothing and pretended that she bought it after. Although probably better it's all out in the open. Can understand their excitement though. Is this their first grandchild?

I have not POAS since last Friday. I have been a very good Moo!!! Can't bear to see the inevitable single line. And yes, I will definitely be ripping in to that consultant next time i see him. I NEED the Clomid; it's the only thing that is going to help me conceive. Angry

iloveberries · 22/02/2012 16:15

Go on mooley - march down to that consultant and demand the clomid!!

Thanks lil - i'm not feeling sick really yet. Really tired today but think that's cause DS was up all night crying with a blazing temperature. We've had a duvet day today which has been nice. I am over the moon to be pg after all the 'efforts' but trying hard not to do the worrying bit. I am only 5 weeks so a long way to go yet.

Back to the sofa i think as DS is napping. xx

Rusulka · 22/02/2012 20:23

Moo- yep. I'm the oldest! I'm 30, DH and DSis are 27, DSiL is 24, DBiL-to-be is a bit younger than her, but I can't remember how much, and he hasn't put it on FB!

You have been a very good Moo.

Berries, I worried every day from finding out to yesterday. Now I have decided that everyone can fuck right off, and despite all the scaremongering I've been reading, that everything is going to turn out fine. I have been a nightmare for DH and it isn't fair when there isn't anything to worry about. Power of positive thinking- if I believe all will be well, it will.

I suggest you do the same!
Wish I'd had this eureka moment 2 months ago. Sodding NHS and their wanky balls leaflets...

JamRagRolyPoly · 22/02/2012 22:04

Ack think I'm out Sad

The cramping stopped all day, thought I felt some tugging sensations. After work had some mild cramps, went loo and had brown cm when I wiped. AF already at 12dpo?! Boo

Lilliana · 23/02/2012 07:31

Rusulka at least they are excited and supportive although can really understand your frustration. Lets hope the letter comes soon!! How did it go with the MIL on skype? Is it possible to hint not so subtly about things that you like so she buys them or is she a bit of a loose cannon when shopping?

Jam brown doesn't count as some people get a bit during implantation (I think this is usually 7-10 dpo but there are no hard and fast rules) so not out until you get red!!

Moo very impressed with your restraint, bring on the clomid. (what does it do?)
Knitting is going nowhere atm although 2 ladies at work sat with me at lunch and told me they 'wanted some good news' and me and DH didn't have a say in it we needed to have a baby so they had a purpose to knit!! Hmm Felt like telling them we've been doing our best for 2 years but it's not happening! Know they didn't mean anything by it as they are under the impression we're not looking at having children. On the up side it looks like I'm not going to have to worry about my ability to knit!

Berries I love a duvet day, sounds fab. Try not to worry I'm sure all will go well.

Relax at least there is an end to the tunnel, any idea when your next scan can be?

DH went on a course about getting cows pg yesterday (yes I am often compared to a cow when discussing ttc!!!) Apparently one of the problems with getting a cow pg is when they are burning body fat as they are not taking in enough food for their needs (ie dieting in a human sense) so as I am permanently dieting on and off Dh is wondering if this could be part of the problem. Has anyone heard anything like this in humans? Maybe a good excuse to give up the diet Grin

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 23/02/2012 08:52

Morning all.

Jam implantation takes place between 6 and 12dpo. Implantation spotting is often brown because it is old blood. AF type cramping can also be experienced at this time. Don't want to get your hopes up..............just saying. If it hasn't developed into full blown hag then you just never know.

Lil I have heard that extreme dieting is not good when TTC. Healthy eating is fine i think but I am sure I have read that dieting is not always helpful. Although I am not on a diet and I'm not exactly getting anywhere!! Grin at the cows Grin and :( at workmates and their presumptions. How very dare they.

Managed to knit 2 rows last night :)

17dpo today - AF now officially 2 days late. Felt awful this morning, dizziness, slight nausea, have a constant headache that won't go and am feeling completely shattered. Am considering getting an FRER for tomorrow. It will have been a week since I last tested. I mean, FF says I ov'd and my temp was back up above the coverline. Either I ov'd later than expected or something weird is going on. I am also still cramping like AF is going to arrive any second and feel somewhat more wet than normal but nothing excessive. Aargh. Am very confuddled by it all.

Rusulka hope everything went well with MiL and Skype :)

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 23/02/2012 08:55

Oh lil sorry, meant to say that the Clomid helps to regulate cycles and hormones (I think) and allows a little eggy to be released :) I have to have the HSG first though to make sure that my tubes aren't blocked, otherwise the Clomid will be pointless because even if an egg is released it won't get through the tubes to meet the sperm.

JamRagRolyPoly · 23/02/2012 09:06

Thanks moo and liliania

I just know this isn't my month. Im sure I would have had a + by now.

Moo, take a test! Smile

I'm definitely going to start charting next cycle. Can someone help me with the basics? Which thermometer is best? Do you temp during period? Do you have to pay for FF?

Any tips or advice would be so helpful

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 23/02/2012 09:31

Jam

The best thermometors are ones that measure to a tenth of a degree. The one I use is from Amazon and can be found here

FF is free but you can pay to get the VIP (think it's about £6 for 30 days). I use the VIP as it tells you pg signs and various other things, but then I am quite neurotic. It works just as well without paying though and i think most women don't use the VIP part. It allows you to enter every single little sign, you can compare charts and can search the HPT database to see different brands at different DPOs.

Erm............can't think of anything else you would need. Hope that helps :)

JamRagRolyPoly · 23/02/2012 09:40

Moo Smile thank you, I've just ordered it so it comes tomorrow as that should be cd1 and FF says to start then, is that right?

Also, when do you temp and how often?

I'm glad someone with a touch of FF OCD can help me!

JamRagRolyPoly · 23/02/2012 09:41

And do you take the temp orally or is it more accurate by fanny?

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 23/02/2012 09:58

It is more accurate in the hoo ha but i just can't bring myself to do it. With temping as well, you need to take it at the same time every morning, before you do anything; so no moving, getting up, speaking, drinking, going to the toilet etc as that can affect it. Alcohol, exercise and illness can also affect it. You also need to have had at least 3 hours of sleep before you take it, although i sometimes take it after only 2 because i have to get up most nights at around 3:30/4:00.

Some women don't bother temping during AF; i do but only because it's a habit now.

Yeah, start on CD1 (or whenever AF goes) and then take it every day etc etc. Also, don't change methods until the start of a new cycle (eg. don't start taking it orally and then change to vaginally) as this will skew the temps. :)

JamRagRolyPoly · 23/02/2012 10:13

That's great Moo thank you so much Smile

This should distract me of AF makes an appearance, learning how to chart and watching the videos etc, so I won't be so disappointed.

I'm looking forward to it, learning more about my body too

Rusulka · 23/02/2012 11:48

Hello all you lovely ladies!

Sun is shining and I feel happy happy happy so I guess the whole not worrying thing is working a treat. DH must be so relieved, I was turning into a right pregzilla... Grin

Don't you hate it when you get to the bottom of your cornflakes, and it's only then that you think 'shit, has my milk gone off?' Ah well.

Jam good luck with the temping! It really helped me. Are you going to be peeing on ovulation sticks (POAOS) as well?

Moo skype with MiL went ok. Tolerable, at least. And now it won't be so awkward to talk to her face to face when she gets here. [pleased at being a big brave girl emoticon]

And Lil... MiL's cannon is so loose her balls fly out backwards. [LMAOWROF @ image]. She is not to shop unsupervised. She will accompany me on my buying trips. She will be bored to tears by my endless trawling through catalogues and explaining exactly what I want. She will get a clear picture in her head of exactly what it is I want. She will not buy anything without consulting me first. I will lead her as a shepherd leads his flock... then make her buy the things I point out.
And then when she goes to Germany in April for a course, it will be... a test. Yes, a test of how well I have schooled her. And we shall see. (Lego and Playmobil is cheaper there)

On a different tack, does anyone know where I can get a bra that'll accommodate bucket-sized boobies? On my other thread someone has very kindly recommended Mothercare's maternity/ nursing bras, but there's only one problem with that- their maximum size is smaller than my pre-pregnancy 36HHs.

This leaves Bravissimo, as far as I know, and they only go up to a J or K in all of 2 or 3 designs. I'm starting to wonder if I should make my own! Confused

Wanders off to find boob thread...

JamRagRolyPoly · 23/02/2012 13:29

Hi Rusulka how do you think it helped you? I've been using opks for a few months and SWI during fertile week. I'm wondering how charting will improve my chances, I really hope it will.

Glad you're not stressing anymore Smile can't help with the big bra thing, sorry, tiny norks over here

JamRagRolyPoly · 23/02/2012 14:18

Cram pings now stopped again and brown cm has gone. Dont know what's bloody going on but it's annoying! Angry

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 23/02/2012 14:48

Jam I don't want to say it but it really does sound like it could be implantation. Perfect timing for it too.

Hope it is. I suggest testing in a few days :)

JamRagRolyPoly · 23/02/2012 15:48

Thanks moo I've never had spotting before, always full blown straight away. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but failing miserably!

I read this: "The blood pregnancy test usually becomes positive within 3-4 days after implantation, and the urine pregnancy test usually becomes positive 4-5 days after implantation."

From: here

Maybe that would explain the negative hpts if implantation just occurred? In that case a hpt would work in a few days.

I bet after all this AF will come tomorrow when she's due!

iloveberries · 23/02/2012 16:10

Jam - i was just about to suggest a CBFM (clearblue fertility monitor) instead of a thermometer if finances allow but it sounds like you might not need it!! Keep us posted!!

Rusulka - i'm with you on the power of positive thinking. I threw away all my tampons after ov this month in a moment of "I WILL BE PREGNANT THIS MONTH"!! I just can't quite believe it. Gotta continue thinking positively.

Best get back to work... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

JamRagRolyPoly · 23/02/2012 16:28

Thanks berries I hope so! If not I will try temping for a month. I don't know if a cbfm would be good for me as my cycles aren't that regular but I'll look into it!

Congrats again!
