Yay Moo so glad your tests are clear, now fx your Dh gets the same. It does seem like your body has suddenly kick started itself so maybe you won't need to worry Grin

Alex it does sound like ov, as you said you need more temps to be sure but sound good.

Winkly if your af was not 'normal' then it is a possibility. My cousin had 'periods' every month until she was 4 months pg. (disclaimer: you could also have picked up a bug, although that wouldn't explain the sore boobs) Do you have a test you could take?

The BFP's seem to have taken off, lets keep them coming.

JamRagRolyPoly · 08/02/2012 07:32

winkly I've heard of this before, it is very possible. I would test!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/02/2012 08:05

Morning all; feeling very low this morning, so please bear with me :(

Maisie Excellent news. Congratulations!

Winkly i reckon you should test, worse case scenario, you get a BFN because you have tested too early. If you have any ICs then i would go for it, if not then probably not worth spending unnecessarily at this point. How far along in your cycle are you? When is AF due (it says 31 Jan in the stats, not sure if they are accurate or not). I had a weird, light period last month (no actual bleeding, nothing on underwear, only a bit when I wiped and up near my cervix) and I am not pg - I don't want to be negative but I know how heart breaking it can be. I do hope that it was breakthrough bleeding for you though :)

Lil I still have PCOS, my message wasn't all that clear - the tests that they ran (some swabs for infection, chlamydia and thyroid) all came back clear which is good, but I still don't ovulate.

This is why I am so down, I think this month is going to be another epic cycle. I am now not convinced that my OPKs were actually true positives, all of my charts (yes I am now charting on 3 different apps!!!) have not even hinted at a temp shift. As a temp shift is the only thing that can determine whether ov has actually occured then I think it's just not going to happen this month.

Sorry to bring the thread down, especially when there is such good news; but it's hard for me to see people getting temp shifts and BFPs when nothing is happening in my god foresaken poor excuse for a body Angry I am also very irritable at the moment, which is p*^i%ng DH off and not helping the situation at all!!

Rant over

Lilliana · 08/02/2012 08:23

Right, you are not in disgrace and we all use this space to rant so go ahead. Have you made that appointment with the doc or do the other things you are having done cover the very odd cycle / spotting / positive okps? You need to talk to someone who knows what they are talking about.

I also tentatively suggest that 3 charts is somewhat ott! I know how dedicated you are but is it causing you more stress? (esp as you change them!!) I had a big chat with DH about taking down the pressure of ttc, he has said ok to the charting, but no more research as he feels I know enough and to stop googling every tiny thing!

I know it's easier for me as at least my chart does show ov and I'm sure your ride is 10x more frustrating than mine; I can't imagine how upsetting it must be to feel your body isn't even giving you a chance to concieve.

I hope that you feel more positive soon and the hospital pull their fingers out. Is there anything you can do to get things moving quicker, even if it comes to a little exaggeration and game playing?

Take care and hope you have a good day ((hug))

Winkly · 08/02/2012 08:34

^^that.

There is no disgrace here, just sympathy and empathy.

Winkly · 08/02/2012 09:52

Oh I had an asda cheapie at home. Tested, negative - therefore waaaah I'm ill.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/02/2012 10:11

Grin thanks ladies!! Yes Lil 3 charts is ridiculously excessive. If I am honest though, I am only doing it to see if there are any discrepancies between ov days. And there are. FF gives me ov on CD13 (which is what i think is right, looking at OPKs, CM, CP and temp). TCOYF gives me no ov, and has set my coverline at a whopping 36.5 Shock. Countdown to Pregnancy is just plain weird, and i don't hold much stock by it - again, no sign of ov, yet tells me that it is likely that CD12 is most probable Hmm

You are right that I need to speak to someone - I am going to bide my time for now and see what happens this month; the fact that I am getting positive and now negative OPKs, EWCM etc seems to indicate to me that something is going on - what exactly I am not entirely sure at the moment.

Feeling very bloated at the moment as well and not sure why (I have hardly eaten - only a small bowl of frosties and a banana!).

Winkly sorry about the BFN - maybe you are one of those unfortunate people that do not produce enough hCG!! I would speak to your GP if you can to talk through the weird period because if it was not full flow then it technically can't be put down as a period. Was it just spotting or did you need a pad/tampon?? Sorry for asking very intimate questions Blush

JamRagRolyPoly · 08/02/2012 10:34

Ah sorry winkley

Tested an opk again this morning and got a negative Confused

So I had a positive yesterday at 5pm then negative this morning and I'm only cycle day 12 now. I think my progesterone is low.

Going drs on Monday to get bloods rolling

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/02/2012 10:45

Jam you do know that it is normal to get a negative the following day after a positive, right!?! Because you tested at 5pm you could have been catching the LH surge towards the end, hence todays negative. If you had tested at 10pm that night, it may have been negative. I would not worry just yet. What I would do, is get plenty of SWI in because you are likely to be ovulating (12-48 hours after the first positive). Have you had any other fertile signs?

Last cycle i ovulated on CD8; this cycle it looks like CD13 - it can vary and it's not too early :)

JamRagRolyPoly · 08/02/2012 11:04

No I didn't know, hence my Confused face, I'm new to this. Last month I had three positives in a row.

I'm thinking it's very early to ovulate and I've only had a short surge.

Have swi sat,sun and last night. Will again tonight and tomorrow just in case.

I hate that you cannot pin point when you have o'd and if you actually have.

How long have you been trying?

Winkly · 08/02/2012 11:09

Moo I think I'll just accept the negative result and try to ignore my illness, my fertile window is coming up so shagging eod starts today in theory. Could not be less in the mood!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/02/2012 11:17

You can pinpoint when you actually ov Jam by charting your BBT (basal body temperature). This will tell you that you have ov'd and is the only piece of information that can. On a BBT chart you should see a drop the day of ov followed by a sustained thermal shift, with the initial 3 temps needing to be at least 0.4 degrees higher than the previous 6. However, it can only tell you when you have ov'd and is no good as a tool on its own for predicting ovulation.

There are no hard and fast rules about when ov can occur. Like I said, I ov'd on CD8 last cycle, so you are not early in ovulating. And although last month you had 3 days of positives, this month you may have just caught the surge late because realistically you were not expecting to see a positive.

I have been trying for almost 11 months now and I use every bit of info to make sure I am ov'ing, SWIing at the right times etc etc. I chart my temps, my CP, my CM and have only recently started using OPKs again. I had two days of positives this month (first one quite late on in the afternoon and the second one very early in the morning - by the afternoon of that second positive they were negative again and have been ever since).

How long are your cycles normally? And do you know the length of your LP? :)

Rusulka · 08/02/2012 11:28

Thanks for your support ladies. Just to contrast you with that sodding September thread, they told me to calm down and 'take deep breaths' and it would all be fine. Hmm, now... who knows me best? Grin

Moo sorry you've got a grump on but I'm sure it'll come good in the end. Go harangue the NHS. Tear them a new one for both of us!

Winkly sorry to hear it was BFN, but like everyone says, you never know, and even if it's not happened this time, it's a sparkly new cycle to try again... and don't forget the awesome sex!

Maisie congrats! Whoop! This thread is definitely getting better!

Jam sounds like a plan. My cheapie ov sticks would show a faint line, then a strong line (but not as strong as control line), then be snow white. So then I knew I would be ov-ing imminently, esp. if my temp had plummeted. Sounds like you've done the right days, or will do. Don't forget to have mind-blowingly awesome sex as well, really helps. Don't think about babies, just you, him, in the moment, together.

Ha! I should be a sex councellor. Grin

In other news, I have to go food shopping as my SiL and her fiance are coming to stay while FiL rips out his bathroom and has a new one fitted. So they'll be here from tonight til probably Sunday. Cue catering for faddy eating habits and being drunken out of house and home (fruit juice) and possibly her coming home with armpit-loads of unnecessary fresh stuff she 'has' to have which I will then have to explain to her won't fit in our tiny fridge. Joy!

On the plus side, their going back home heralds a whole week off with DH when hopefully we'll FINALLY get the new skirting boards on in the bedroom... and after they're varnished, I can finish the walls, and, just maybe start thinking about fitting clothes rails so my entire wardrobe can come out of storage! (Cries at thought of actually having clothes again)...

JamRagRolyPoly · 08/02/2012 11:55

It's weird because the sex has been much more passionate and really feels like 'love making' Grin

mooley I was going to start charting and temping soon, maybe after a couple of months if we have no luck. We've been relaxed ttc for 18 months now and this is the first month of actively trying.

Does charting etc tell you after you've O'd?

My cycles are different every month. I use an app to follow. For example:

So this one just gone was 25 days - lp 13 days
Last one was 29 - lp -17
One before 27

Since I don't really know when I ovulate, the lp are estimates

Lilliana · 08/02/2012 12:25

Jam yes charting will only tell you when you have ov'd after it has happened. No good to tell you in advance the first month but after a couple you should see patterns and be able to predict when it will happen eg I usually ov on CD 14 or 15. My latest ov was CD 17 so I know when to SWI each month now (not that it has helped much yet!!)

Rusulka sorry about fussy IL's - mine are always moaning about the heating and cost us a fortune making our house into an oven. At least you can look forward to some alone time when they have gone (a some gentle DIYGrin)

Sorry winkly, hope it's not too horrible and you're feeling more 'up for it' by tonight.

Moo you are sounding more positive now, hope that is how you are actually feeling. Can you have a nice chilled night with your DH and 'reconnect' (not wishing to take rusulka's sex guru crown)

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/02/2012 13:28

Jam your LP should not really change - it's a static event (although it's open to debate, as some people say that it can!). As Lil said charting will only tell you when ov has occurred, although there are tell tell signs leading up to it, such as watery/EWCM and a soft, high, open and wet cervix.

Winkly hope you feel better soon Brew

Lil not really feeling more positive, just realise that I need to get on with life. I can't keep letting this get to me. I feel so up and down at the moment and I need to get a grip and get over myself.

Rusulka sorry that those on the pg boards are not as understanding and sympathetic. Boo hiss to them Grin. I will gladly rip them a new one for the both of us!!! Useless f*&kers.

JamRagRolyPoly · 08/02/2012 13:35

Thanks mooley and liliana I guess I still have a lot to learn!

rusulka don't worry about them, I think some people quickly forget how frustrating it is once they fall pregnant.

Have just been trying to catch up on everyone's posts....

Moo - I agree with Lil, you sound a little more positive, but completely understand it doesn't necessarily mean you feel that way. I really, really hope it happens for you this month, that you have ov'd and get a BFP when AF is due!! I will be away when the 2ww is over, but I'll definitely have all my fingers crossed and will be thinking of you!! Really hoping that I'll come back to positive news for you. If I get a chance I'll check in but not sure what access I'll get to a computer or not. We'll see.

Winkly, hope you're feeling better!! I can imagine how frustrating that is - DH camde down with something early last week and I was starting to fret whether he'd be up to SWI in time....

Jam - I'm in the same boat, trying to figure everything out. At the moment I'm pretty sure I ov'd on Monday - had the temp dip then and I've now had two days with higher temp. So long as tomorrow's temp is high again, then that should confirm it. And then 2ww. But hopefully a holiday will distract me (well it won't really, but I can just tell myself that it will).

Hope I'll get a chance to stop in over the next couple of weeks before I'm back - really hoping to hear of some more BFPs!! xx

Lilliana · 08/02/2012 18:42

Found this and thought of you all - fancy knitting one of these ? Grin

JamRagRolyPoly · 08/02/2012 19:01

I'm not on the list Sad

Has anyone been tracking their cm? Even though I had a positive opk, my cm is dry and sticky. Hopefully it will get more fertile in the next few days

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/02/2012 20:28

Jam have you only just started checking your CM? Usually after ov your CM dries up! I am thinking that you probably have already ov'd Smile

Just thought I'd add this Bear thought it was cute Smile

JamRagRolyPoly · 08/02/2012 20:38

Ah ok, that might explain it. I haven't really been watching out for stuff like that so far as was relaxed ttc. I'll keep am eye on it though as I only had a positive opk yesterday so not sure I would have already O'd

Winkly · 08/02/2012 20:45

Winkly (30) TTC #1 cycle 4 AF due 27 Feb

alexeliza · 08/02/2012 22:31

Lil - I love the beanie hats you found -they're brilliant!! I'm sure they'd be a real conversation starter!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 09/02/2012 06:53

Morning everyone!! Thank you for your kind words and encouragement yesterday! Feeling much better today :)

Lil I am getting me one of those boob hats. So cute (am I allowed to say boob hats are cute Confused)

Well looks like my body might just possibly know what to do after all! Huge temp rise this morning (for me anyway) putting me at 6dpo :) and have woken up to very hurty boobs indeed. Was shattered last night and took myself to bed at 9 - could barely keep my eyes open.

Let the SSing commence Grin

I have promised myself though that I will not be testing until AF is officially late!!!!
